Unfortunately I will have to give this school at least 2 stars because my boys did attend this school for a very long time and one son graduated from here. My boys and I have met some very awesome people that teach here. However, I will have to say the school in my opinion has taken a turn for the worst! My son was recently transferred out during his senior year! Because, of lots of miscommunication, teachers/ coaches that do NOT know how to effectively communicate, a coach called me not to say my son was cut but to basically tell me that he’s “not good...”, very rude and vindictive to me and my son! This coach break UIL rules... Now to much more serious offenses. My son was in SPEd and he failed chemistry last year by a few points and I was NEVER notified! Against the law with him being a SPEd student! He could’ve did make up work, summer school... but I got his report card in the mail 2 days after summer school was over! Did I mention he was going into his senior year?!?! So, now they are not giving him an opportunity to even be successful and graduate! Once I got the report card and began calling.... of course I couldn’t reach ANYONE because they have such a high turnover with their employees! No one is ever available nor do they really know what’s going on. Lastly, they have bullying on that basketball team and the coach ignores it because he “there to win game so that he can get paid” (his words to me last year when I spoke to him about my son). Once I transferred my son, a couple of boys on the team started bullying my son on social media and NEVER got in trouble for it! I was LIVID to say the least! The school in my opinion is strictly about politics and money and they hire and fire employees according to these measures. Most of the educators are not there for the students well being they are there for money or because their family works there. Which is something that this school has already been in trouble for. I would not send my child here . Years ago I would’ve but not now.

My son is in 6th grade here very well behaved, great in academics, and is apart of the rugby team. Apparently four of the players had a fight at golden chick (my son was not there or apart of it). The coaches decided to punish the whole team and had them doing bear crawls on hot turf in 90 degree weather. My son came home with burns and blisters on his hands. All they could do is apologize. Not to mention this school can’t keep teachers my son has had three teachers that quit this year and has had substitutes since they left which was at the beginning of the school year. They don’t even notify the parents about any of these changes. I don’t recommend this school, they only invest in sports and the appearance of the school not what goes on inside. But obviously the coaches don’t even know how to conduct practice appropriately so the sports is a no also. Children should feel safe and protected at school not tortured. They also do not have any kind of text alerts for important or urgent information. They use to send out monthly newsletters via email but that only lasted a few months which it still didn’t mention things like testing dates, etc. They won’t notify you if their power is out. They will let the kids go a whole day with no electricity, no A/C, and parents will never be notified. It’s up to your child to call you and tell you what is going on. Your child’s well being is not a priority for administration, but the money the school gets for their daily attendance. My son definitely won’t be back.

I have a few concerns with this school. First concern is with the dress code policy. You guys are taking up the children's jacket for what reason? I understand that the temperature outside is hot, but in the building it might be a different temperature. My son said "he is always cold, but has to deal with it because if he wears a jacket, he is in fear that he will get it taken up. I spent $60.00 on two Faith family jackets to be told they can only wear it in the month of October. Is wearing a jacket interfering with learning? My 2nd concern is early release. I work at a corporate Job from home and they are very strict on time. Since early release starts at 11:45 I am able to pick up one child to make it back to work on time. I went to the front desk to see if I could sign my middle grade child out and was told NO, I would have to wait 45 minutes. It is very inconsiderate to parents! Is there a way that siblings can be out at the same time when there is an early release? I agree that there should be rules enforced at school, but some of the rules you guys have is not interfering with ones learning.

I went here for 7th grade back in 07. Houston transplant placed in the heart of oak cliff, parents decided to study at Christ for the Nation's and took me along. It was an experience living in the hood but the place had some really sweet students (some typical bullies) and some teachers were amazing and offered a legit education right in the ghetto. I learned a lot living there and at the time it was a better education than eagle advantage (the only other public school option)

Ms.Dora Leblanc a un-profesional secretary in ECC PRE-K-1. It is very unbelievable they have staff with no manner with no ethical. Can you believe having your child in a school like this with the Secretary of the principal screaming in your face what can you expect they do to your kids. I look forward to be in touch with the superintendent of this charter school in oak cliff. Show professionalism to this lady please. If I could give no stars I will.

Strict school you aren't allowed to wear hoodies ,you have to tuck in your hood if you don't want your hoodie to be taken up and it's too crowded. The worst part is that one my friends got kicked out of the school for getting caught drinking alcohol but a girl had weed in class and everyone knew who it was but she didn't get kicked out of school . And the bathrooms are very nasty the girls restroom stinks and the sinks don't work.

This is a terrible school. The faculty are very rude, trashy and ghetto. They are very disrespectful to the parents and very inappropriate in front of the students. The school is behind on all things education related. If ONE person that works at the school dislikes you, the entire school will start treating you and your children terribly. DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILD IN THIS SCHOOL!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!
