We really had an amazing experience from start to finish. The customer service was great. New York style, like being a New Yorker means you’re a custom to a certain level of customer service and the Osprey did not disappoint. Bar tender was great, the transition from the bar to the table was seamless, the Waitress was also our GM, and informed us of the schedule we were working with, as we were slightly behind for brunch, and assisted us to order, and was well knowledged about the entire menu. Our food came out in a great amount of time, the drinks were great, and I had the white sangria, which was delicious and plenty powerful, we had about a five minute conversation about how delicious and fresh the eggs tasted. I ordered the French toast with bananas foster situation. I don’t exactly remember what it was called and my friend had the Ossebi breakfast and another order just the Parmesan fries. Also, the Parmesan fries were probably the best I’ve ever had, I don’t know if I would just go back for the drinks or just brunch or I’m just happy to be able to have both but I’m glad this is an additional place to add to my brunch in Brooklyn repertoire definitely a place I would recommend, and I am happy to go back. Love having good experiences like this.

Super cute decor and food is amazing! It’s very spacious inside and there’s outdoor seating as well. Plexiglass between booths. QR code to browse the menu. Everything is thoughtfully arranged and executed. The brioche French toast was surprisingly really good. Each bite had a nice sweet crunch to it. I honestly think it’s hard to find a place that looks pretty and makes delicious food. This place offers both! Disclaimer: I haven’t tried all their food yet but I know I’ll be coming back soon :) On top of that, everyone was friendly; the receptionists, servers and even the manager came around to ask how we were doing. It was a moderately busy day too. The only confusing part was getting in the restaurant. We got there at opening time. The doors were still closed. We tried to go in from the hotel entrance (since there’s two entrances to get in) and was told to go back to the other entrance. So we go back to square one and mins later the doors finally open, only to be led back in the hotel entrance to wait. We got our temperatures checked and only one person from our group had to leave contact info.

My friend and I were walking around Brooklyn, and stumbled upon this restaurant. Its luscious Australian menu had me curious to see what was in store. We were gracefully seated and were greeted by my waitress, Jen. At first, I was very nervous as I wasn't wearing my favorite shirt, I feel truly confident when I'm wearing my favorite shirt. Luckily, Jen made me feel extremely comfortable and had the best recommendations for food and drinks. After my friend spilled their drink all over themselves, we weren't sure if we would be in for the best time, especially when so much was on their pants, but the food from the Australian menu was superb and made up for the unfortunate mistake. Additionally, a service dog came by and my allergies to dogs went bezerek. Thankfully, Jen was quick to notice my discomfort and quickly brought me extra napkins to blow my nose. This was a great place to relax, especially as I continue to battle my long, drawn out divorce. I had a terrific time and would come back again!

This is a beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge. You can't see the bridge from indoor seating, but it's very close. Our server Jake was very knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive without being intrusive. He pointed out the reverse side of the menu that showed the inspiration for the dishes. Descriptions of the dishes themselves were on the other side. I opted for the scallops. The presentation was quite original and artistic and was inspired by the Great Barrier Reef. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the sauce didn't add much to the flavor of the dish. I expected it to taste as good as it looked, but it was not the case. My friend had the pasta with black truffles and I think that was a better choice. The truffles were very tasty!

My review would be of my private dining experience in the reserved space for private parties. I had a beautiful experience and a fabulous dinner with friends. My friend was celebrating her milestone birthday. She reserved a beautiful space for 8 people with a prix fixe menu. Everything from the atmosphere to the food was exceptional. The waiters were attentive and quick with our orders. The food was delicious and the portions were enough to fill 8 bellies and bring home leftovers. The atmosphere was "romantic" from the soft music to the view of the bridge from the floor-to-ceiling windows. I would come again for a special occasion or to solo dine.

I took my mom here for a special Birthday this past Saturday. I have been coming to The Osprey since it opened, and it's always had great food and a great atmosphere (the whole hotel does really!). There was a special menu by Dan Churchill who is Australian and the food did not disappoint! My mom ordered the scallops (which in our opinion, were some of the best scallops we had ever had!) and I had a gluten free pasta dish as well as we shared the garlic chili prawns. Everything was excellent! I think the best part of the whole experience was the service. They really took it above and beyond for my mom and I really appreciated that! I live in the city and it was one of the best experiences I had. Laura (who is the manager) was extremely accommodating and Dawn, our server, was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be a returning customer and support them! :)

Shaun was our server and wow were we absolutely blown away!! They comped our cocktails and appetizers for having to wait a few extra minutes for our drinks which was incredibly generous. Shaun was extremely knowledgeable about the cuisine and made excellent recommendations for each part of the meal. The food by chef Dan Churchill was absolutely phenomenal! Throughout the night we had made conversation and mentioned we were celebrating our engagement, so Shaun arranged for us to be escorted upstairs to the rooftop cocktail bar for a nightcap. The hostess KiKi escorted us up and she and Shaun arranged to treat us each to a glass of bubbly to celebrate our engagement! The customer service here by the entire staff was beyond anything we could’ve imagined. THANK YOU to the Osprey team, and especially Shaun, for an unforgettable night!!!

1) Atmosphere was breathtaking. Beautiful decoration and scenery. 2) Our waitress was amazing! She knew the menu like the back of her hand. She was very kind and patient during my friends and I’s indecisiveness. She was very attentive to us and made us feel extremely comfortable. 3) I give the food a 4/5 stars. Not because it’s not good, but because what may taste good to one person, may not to another. I ordered something that I wish had a bit more seasoning on it, but to someone else, it may have been outstanding with flavor. So it all depends. This is with every restaurant though. 4) Overall, I’m very very satisfied and I will be back!

My daughter brought me to the Osprey for my birthday and we had a fantastic dinner! Laura, the manager was wonderful and Dawn, our waitress was exceptionally attentive. In fact, the whole staff were pleasant and welcoming. The food was fantastic. I had the garlic chili prawn appetizer and the scallops for my main dish and would recommend both. My only complaint is that the restrooms are a little out of the way and they are open to all sexual orientations. I found that quite uncomfortable, therefore the 4 stars for atmosphere. But, the food and service were par excellence! Kudos to the restaurant staff!

The service here is horrible. We booked through Resy. When we arrived at the restaurant, the server told us there was no reservation for us despite we just confirmed with Resy this morning. Then we were informed that we need to wait for 15 mins for our table to be ready. Fine. We ended up waiting for 45 mins to be seated. Then we waited another 45 mins to get our first dish served. Our reservation was 12pm and we started at 1:30pm. Near the end of our brunch, the server came to tell us that the overnight oat ordered for one of the kids can't be nut free. We had to reorder something new for the kid and waited again. At the end, the bill was wrong as well. No apologies through entire brunch. It was a very unpleasant experience.

Erlan was very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and helpful with making the meal fit our dietary restrictions. The halibut was the best my wife had ever had. The lamb was excellent and the Brussel sprouts were excellent - the macadamia nuts were original and a nice touch. It wasn’t Erlans fault but the food took an unusually long time to come out. Otherwise it was a great experience.

The location of this contemporary restaurant is stunning, the atmosphere perfect and the food was tasty. Unfortunately the service was terrible. Even though the staff was friendly and helpful, it cannot make up for the loooong waiting times. We had to wait for more than 15 minutes before being acknowledged. Once seated, it took again over 15 minutes before receiving a menu and another 30 before taking our order. The beverages and food arrived rather quickly and the food was tasty as mentioned earlier. Our mood soured when we had to wait yet again for more than 15 minutes after asking for the check. Not sure what went wrong that night, they did not seem short staffed. Let’s hope they don’t make a habit out of it.

  • Corinne Brenner

Very disappointing experience. Scallops were served over an unappealing, sweetened purple (?) sauce; fries were too salty; broccolini was bland; and “crispy Brussels sprouts” were mushy. But most disconcerting was the fact that our $99 bottle of wine arrived already uncorked from the kitchen, served by a person who was not our waiter. Not sure what happened there, but it was very inappropriate and shocking. I’ll close on a more positive note: our wonderful waiter. Thank you, Mitch, for being so attentive and efficient, and for taking such good care of us!

Food deserve 5 star, service 3. We went there for our Thanksgiving dinner. 7 people. Almost everybody ordered different food, which was delicious. Bravo kitchen!!! Unfortunately, service was’t top. We ordered 4 different red wines. The server was’t trained enough to poor wine. In five star restaurant you shouldn’t have empty glass of wine on your table, right? Also, we ordered a lot of deserts with coffee. They were delicious, but coffees were served after we ate desserts. Can you synchronize that somehow? I drink a lot of espresso. Your espresso was bad, really bad. I didn’t finished it. So bitter and tasteless. I think you should train your barista and order better coffee....

The Osprey is located in The One Hotel Brooklyn. The restaurant was top notch. The food and service were wonderful. We ordered several things and ate family style which was great so we got to try several things on the menu. I highly recommend The Osprey. We ordered raw oysters, they were fresh and sweet. The beef skewers were tender and tasty. It was served with a table top grill. The scallops were cooked to perfection and were to die for!

The summer menu is much better than their regular menu. Options are very limited, but do include 1 or 2 vegetarian options. The chef that curated the summer menu did a great job with the ingredients used in each dish- very flavorful. Portions are small and you will pay a pretty penny for a meal/ drinks here... but the ambiance and view are unbeatable. Service here is just ok- nothing spectacular.

Well The Osprey at The One Hotel Brooklyn Bridge was the best Thanksgiving dinner ever!!! The staff were so warm kind and professional. I felt so welcome and comfortable! The food was simply amazing! So fresh so flavorful and the taste of high quality ingredients and care it was prepared with were indeed noticeable ! These chefs have taken The Osprey's food to an entirely new level. Decided to book an early dinner reservation for our 1st wedding anniversary here. Dawn our server was fantastic, she recommended food that we ended up enjoying. To top it off, she got us complimentary 2 glasses of bubbly and a desert that was sooooo good. We opted for outdoor seating and it turned out great. Secluded enough with strategic planting but with plenty of river breeze. Note that they are pretty short staff so plan accordingly.

Great food, amazing service! Had dinner here tonight and Bo was our server. Couldn’t ask for a better server. Attentive, authentic and fun. Dawn brought us great food and was so kind! Gabriel was there to meet every need. Such a great time. Highly recommend the chili garlic shrimp! The farro and lentils were incredible and I don’t usually order vegetarian. Flavors that pop. Lamb shank was thoroughly enjoyed by my husband. Don’t forget the Tamtams! Worth the calories.

The food looked great. The taste on the other hand ranged super salty to bland. Service was lackluster too. Hostess mixed us up with another black family. Then she didn't tell us we had to download the menu on our phones using the wood dial she left at the table. Waitress didn't tell us there is a kids menu. Told us we had to ask and then she would let us know that there is one because it's not written down anywhere. The burger is 32 dollars the kids burger is half the price. But if im with 2 kids 5 and 11 shouldn't you tell us? Maybe I'm wrong The steak on a stick taste like salty gummy beef jerky .

I really liked it! It feels like you're outside but you are actually inside. It's also a minute away from a beautiful boardwalk, which I recommend (although the coffee wasn't good!). But the food was amazing – I definitely recommend the pancakes with bananas on top. They're amazing!

Trey did a fantastic job serving my friend and I. It was a late dinner and he was serving the entire floor on his own, but that did not stop him from routinely checking in with us to make sure we were good and to make suggestions when we needed. He suggested the braised lamb and I’m so glad he did because it was incredible. Thank you Trey for a lovely evening!!!

The dinner experience was flawless. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, and they were at the top of their game. The food not only matched the breathtaking view but also delighted our taste buds with its freshness and deliciousness. We indulged in the exquisite steak tartare, two refreshing salads, and the succulent jumbo shrimp. The main courses consisting of steak, scallops, and perfectly prepared vegetable sides were nothing short of perfection. The ambiance was subtly elegant, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere that perfectly complemented the stunning views.

We had to move to a different table after having our appetizers and they went above and beyond to make us feel accommodated. The food was incredibly tasty and had perfect portions. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our waitress recommended her favorite dishes on the menu and we weren’t disappointed. We look forward to dining here again

I've dined at The Osprey on several occasions so when my friend planned her birthday dinner at the location I thought it was perfect, except the evening of tge dinner the reservation she made for 10 people when we arrived they had no record of the reservation. Secondly when we were finally seated, we sat at the table for 30 minutes without any service not even water on our table! We absolutely walked out appalled at the service! Meanwhile my friend was staying in the hotel 1 of their most $$$ rooms. Totally unacceptable!

I am big fan of weekend brunch at the osprey. Lovely for coming with friends or partners for a nice meal and walk around dumbo. I (was ) particularly fond of their banana french toast which was taken of the menu (and needs to make a comeback!). I also recently enjoyed their lemon pancakes. Would not have their avocado toast again. Plate sizes are huge so come in hungry!! Will be coming again

We were there for brunch today. The restaurant is beautiful, very nice decor and great view of the Brooklyn Bridge Park. However the hospitality wasn’t at the level that I’d expect from 1 Hotel. What really threw us off was that a 20% tip was already included in the bill. It wrote clearly that 20% gratuity would be included for a party of 6 while we were only a party of 3. We almost tipped another 20%. Sneaky.

The people who work here are nice, but it takes like 30-40 minutes to them to bring you a simple dish such as a granola with yogurt or an avocado toast, ( in my case I wanted it plain and yes, that was the time it tooked for them to bring it to the table ) with almost no people in the restaurant. The ambience is nice though. I can’s say all the food is bad because I tried a couple of dishes and they were ok. I give it 2 stars because all the time wasted waiting, not a bad place though.

A beautiful place … love the plants and the nature vibe. Wasn’t as happy with the service from our waiter - she could have spent a little bit more time to check in with us. She didn’t make effort to impress. The food was good… potential of being better is definitely there. When some of food didn’t show on time - I spoke to higher level staff and they did take care of it… Was expecting to be impressed but there was little bit of short coming on flavors and staff. Will try again …

An incredibly beautiful venue right in the heart of Brooklyn Bridge Park. Erlon was our server and he was the best. Our cocktails were delicious (the reposado espresso martini is definitely a must). We had the tuna crudo to start which was absolutely decadent. For the main course we shared the baby gem salad with grilled shrimp and the black bass. Don’t get me wrong the salad was great, but the bass was out of this world. For dessert we had the churros, and I’m not a dessert person, but they were perfect. Highly recommended.

Hi Louis. After seeing your reply I decided to add text details and photos. I paid $32 to wait over an hour for a cold meal that was an incorrect order. I don't usually tip $0, but I did that day. Upon looking at the receipt, looks like my bill is $7 higher than anticipated. The total on the receipt says $0 gratuity and $32.66 total. The hotel bill says $39.66 charge. There is a $7 discrepancy. Is this a mistake or fraud? Please let me know if I am misunderstanding.

The Osprey is a beautiful restaurant located in Brooklyn Bridge Park! I came here with some girlfriends for brunch. We were able to sit outdoors which gave us an amazing view of the park. We enjoyed the delicious cocktails & ordered lots of shared plates. The service was wonderful & quick. Highlights include the razor back clams, focaccia bread, egg breakfast sandwich & Parmesan fries. I highly recommend going here on a nice day & then finding a spot in the park to sit & enjoy the sun with loved ones/friends.

  • Eviana Del rosario

My husband and I dined here for Thanksgiving dinner and overall it was okay. I’m vegan so they did provide vegan options- the brussel sprouts and the squash soup were the best dishes to me. My husband liked the venison, turkey and mushroom risotto. The salad was bland, the cauliflower curry was cold and wasn’t very flavorful. The wine and deserts weren’t that great either. For the price I don’t think it was worth it. The quantity of food was a lot but the overall quality was really missing. 5/10 for us.

  • V Brightside

We came here after taking pictures in front of the Brooklyn Bridge, it’s a pretty decent spot. The gluten free sweet potato pancakes were super clutch. However, when you substitute the Bison burger for a veggie pattie they still charge you $35 which makes absolutely no sense. Almost a $40 veggie burger??? It’s not a bison, they even still list it as a bison burger on the menu. I asked and they were like that’s what it costs, sorry. In conclusion, not a good place If you’re a vegan or vegetarian.

  • Marami Kar

The Osprey is a relatively upscale place, with relatively reasonable prices. The food is okay (we went there for brunch, and the menu was quite the standard NY brunch affair) and so is the service. What makes it outstanding though is it’s location - it’s right on the water, ~1 minutes of a walk from the Dumbo pier. Not only is it scenic, but also super convenient to reach. In addition, the neighborhood offers tons of entertainment/dining options, if you’re looking to spend the day out there.

Lovely restaurant and ambiance however, service was very slow and wasn't impressed with the 'summer' menu. It has limited food options. I ended up getting the half rotisserie chicken. It was good but a little over cooked. The string fries served with the chicken had way too much seasoning which also made them too salty. Even ketchup couldn't tone down the seasoning. I won't go back.

Fancy place with a very friendly staff. Definitely on the pricy side with a menu that felt somewhat limited. Ordered the skirt steak which was delicious but, for the price, wished that it came with a bit more than just a side of greens. The pork chop on the other hand was huge and came with greens and a side of caramelized apples. Afterwards you can walk nearby to a scenic view of the Brooklyn Bridge or even take a walk across.

Pros: Beautiful Patio Great drinks Cons: Not great service. On a slow morning, forgot to bring coffee. Ordered eggs over medium and got eggs over easy. Food. The food is not good. Bacon was clearly not prepared fresh for my order. Ube pancakes were bitter. Chicken sausage was "gross". Considering the prices, very disappointing.

We stayed at the hotel and had dinner and breakfast at The Osprey. Drinks at the bar was worth it. Dinner was a disappointment. I had the chicken that was incredibly dry, they offered a dipping sauce that I swear was straight molasses. The dish went back and was replaced with cavatelli and mushrooms. I ate half of this. Hotel is beautiful, go out and explore the neighborhood for dinner. What was worth it, $2 oysters…

The Osprey is worth the trek to Brooklyn Bridge Park. It's a gorgeous waterfront restaurant connected to the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge at Pier 1. Delicious food, boozy cocktails, and chic decor, this is the place I'd recommend to tourists. More affordable and inviting than The River cafe too. Our server, John gave us outstanding service and the entire staff was friendly. I highly recommend it.

Everything was on point! Such a bright place during the daytime with natural sunlight makes you happy and calm. They reframed the menu and brunch menu has been reduced but you can order other dishes on brunch. Presentation and taste of all the dishes were fantastic, a server was very friendly, everything was on point! Loved the atmosphere and want to come back for a dinner!

Very nice restaurant, right off the East River Ferry. Great place for brunch / lunch. There's both indoor and outdoor seating options, so one can take one's pick based on mood and weather conditions. Its convenient location allowed us to hop on a ferry and scoot over from Wall Street, for a very enjoyable Saturday afternoon. My recommendation? Try the waffles and chicken.

They work as a team to ensure your every need is met. This may be the best staff I have ever encountered. The food is deliceuos and fantastic. I will come to this place, over and over again.

I absolutely loved my dining experience here, the food was top notch, and I love that they are consistently rotating their chefs and menus. On the night we went, Dan Churchill designed the menu and it was so rare and delicious. Jen was our server and she was an absolute gem!

Came here for restaurant week. We sat by the window and got to see the BK bridge at night, it was beautiful. The service was fast and great, would definitely come back again. I asked the waitress to recommend a drink similar to the osprey and she gave me one that I really liked ... something with the word "doctor."

What a great decor for a nice dinner. Food was ok i recommend the brussel sprouts. My ribeye was cooked to perfection (rare) quality of the meat was 8/10 and in line with price. Thx

Came for breakfast. We loved the decor Inside the place Views were very nice. Food was delicious! Looking around, everyone’s breakfast looked so good. Service was “ok” , could of been better. If the service was better, I would of gave 5 stars no question. Overall we had a nice time. We will be back!

We are locals, have been here several times and keep wanting to give it the benefit of the doubt. Food is very good but it fails miserably on service. From the cold hostess to having to wait over an hour for our food, we are finally giving up.

I was really looking forward to this place. Way too over priced for what it is. Presentation is pretty but there’s not much substance there. Especially the brioche w caviar and oysters. I felt it wasn’t really worth it to dine there. Nice ambience. Service was ok. Disappointed. More

Food was amazing very tasty and fresh, the margarita was prepared as I wanted not too sweet and spicy, that was kindness to me. The deco of the place is beautiful and outstanding coming back for sure. Restrooms are downstairs the lobby FYI.

I’ve had a truly unique experience in my life. The entire restaurant industry operates on a model of reserving tables. When guests arrive with a standing reservation they are usually seated at a table so that they may order food and proceed

Amazing service, good food, view and atmosphere is very nice and neat. Our server recommended some food options, that we ordered, and enjoyed every bit of it. :) Will definitely go again.

Jen made our first Osprey experience memorable! My husband and I were celebrating the hard work we put into our recent marriage, and the staff at The Osprey kept the celebration going with delicious food and drink gestures. On top of that

  • Po Lang

Mediocre at best. First the claims about amazing views is false. You can barely see the bridge or anything from the restaurant. It’s Instagram makes you think you’re on the rooftop. They take pictures of the bridge from the park under it

  • Carley Miller

Food and drinks are absolutely incredible. A little slow on the service but definitely worth the wait. The brussel sprouts were my favorite.

Really nice decor, however we dined inside and didn't like the fact that their staff were talking loudly near the bar area. The food was good, nothing special. I would have given 3.5 if it was possible. More

Great drinks, atmosphere, and food. We had the Ube Pancake, Fries, & Burger and all were delicious (though pricey!).
