Hotel Mandalay is a fairly large hotel that is favored by tour operators and travel agents. The hotel is adequate for short stays and if you are traveling with a tour, but will most likely be inconvenient if you're traveling on your own. Its location on the main highway may be convenient for your tour operator, but your room will turn out to be noisy if your windows have a view of the busy street. Rooms in the back are better, not only because they are quieter but also because they are somewhat larger and better equipped. The whole hotel could use a renovation. One of its saving graces is an above average restaurant, not for the breakfast it serves, but for lunches and dinners.

Never stayed here just came for a conference at their Ballroom. If you HAVE to come here, might want to have someone drop you off. The parking lot could probably hold 30 cars max, including spots for the hotel guests. If there ever is a crowd in the ballroom, you probably won't feel the AC at all. Last time I was there, we lost power halfway through with a couple hundred people crammed in there, a girl almost pass out. Jeez

Located on the City's Main road (78th street). Swimming pool and Gym rooms are well equipped. Meals for breakfast and lunch are satisfactory. Bed rooms clean, tidy and service is good. Parking area is relatively small.

We are in the main ballroom! The hotel location is good. The ballroom structute is great! But the service at the ballroom is so bad. Aircon is really bad. We are of around 700 participants and they said its because of that, so during lunch time i empty the room for one hour and the temperature is still the same. We hope that they will improve so that we will have a better options of services.

Great customers service, it was a fabulous experienced to stay with Hotel Mandalay, as we were late for check in and the room are fully booked and occupied but the hotel staffs and manager managed to provide us a few rooms to let us have a place to stay for this pick season in town, more over we were upgraded to a superior room without any charges. Highly recommended to stay at Mandalay.

Staffs are helpful sometimes. Breakfast is excellent. Facilities provided worth for its price. (expect 40$ and above!) But insects.. mosquitoes are waiting desperately for your kindness. Have swimming pool and gym for sport guys. For mallrat, should spend about 15 min of walk to Diamond plaza and some shops around (jewellery, Burmese slipper, silk, so on)

24/7 room service is quite fancy here. Breakfast buffet is just so so. I wish there's egg counter rather than serving fried eggs on the tray. Room is nice and wide enough. The view from the higher rooms are amazing.

It is located in good place and there are good facilities and services like wheelchair accessible way to rooms, variety of food for breakfast, an indoor swimming pool and a gym. The only one weak thing was the poor internet connection inside the room when I was staying there.

A warmly furnished yet sleek hotel located very centrally in Mandalay. The staff are very friendly and hospitable, the rooms and especially the toilets were spotlessly clean. The food, a Burmese-Chinese fusion cuisine, was top-notch as well. Would strongly recommend.

Downtown area everywhere easy to go around the city nearest Mahar Muni pagoda.

Old facility with large and clean rooms. The morning breakfast is very average. Your better choice is the restaurant next door. Also if you attract mosiquto like me prepare to be eaten alive. You definitely need to buy a mosiquto tent and an electric swatter

This place is quite nice. There are swimming pool and gym. Breakfast is complementary and not bad. TV only has four or five channels. Lighting is good in my room. I found mosquitoes sometimes. Rooms are quite and cool. Hot water is available.

Too old and many things are not working well example lights. Worst is the bathroom where the water is on dripping mode while you want to shower. However, the technical team is very responsive. Despite all that, we need to change room etc.

Great location - city centre and helpful manager. Walking distance to many cafe, gold leaf shops etc. Secured parking available. The hotel has an extension which is hostel like and hence make sure your booking is correctly recorded

It's a nice place to stay here because there are full of things people's need like food and drink, swimming pool, gym and KTV. But I have not try the KTV.

Hotel at downtown Mandalay. Rooms are nice, staffs are warm and helpful. Good car parking. Indoor swimming pool is in a separate building. Halls for events and seminars can accomodate up to 300 audience.

Large room with nice facilities and delicious breakfast. Massage, gym and mini swimming pool are also available. Currency exchange, travel agency and air ticket sale are also just next to reception.

Room and service are great. It can be your one stop rest place in visit. There is a Spa, Message, Pool, Gym and Restaurant.

Good gym. The room looks old fashion, but clean. Bad experienced with front desk during checking out. Morning BF with smiless staffs.
