Unity University is a private university in Ethiopia. Established in 1991, as Unity language school with not more than 50 students, a few part-time teachers and administration personnel. Progressively, the institute launched diploma programs in accounting, marketing, business, personnel administration, secretarial science and office management from 1997 to 1999. In March 1998 the institute was upgraded to a college level, following its achievements in education, becoming the first privately owned college in Ethiopia. Through the years, the institute has played a pioneering role in providing quality education, setting a fine record. Later named Unity College, the institute has promoted innovative approaches and launched degree programs in various disciplines. Unity was promoted to university level in September 2008, becoming the first privately owned university.

They are modern day theives i payed a full semester fee and changed my mind not to join and they told me my money isn't refundable and have no respect what so ever for the students and all the administration and registral organs in the main campass are scammers and only care about collecting money not improving status of the students. They ought to be ashamed of themselfs they are not an institue for a bright future rather they are dulling the active and dreaming youth. Anyone considering joining there should really think about it. THEY ARE BROAD DAY THEIVES WHO CARE ABOUT AND PRIOROTIZE THEIR MONEY. NOT YOU THE STUDENTS

During my four year stay at Unity University I can mention some of the annoying things I encountered . The most annoying one being the old fashioned and backward registration system . You have to debate with the people at the registrar just to ask for your grades and you will probably waste half of your day just to register for classes. unless, that is you come before the sun rises. The faculty is good and the teachers are okay and the only thing that seems to be going wrong with Unity University is its bureaucratic and backward registration system.

I have the most horrible registrar experience ever even one star is too much for them. They are so disrespectful they don't hold files properly they don't listen, and they don't do their jobs properly. Also they take to much time to process one request, they only care about money. I am really disappointed by the university for allowing such people to work as the face of the univerity. It's not expected from a big university like this...

A Terrible University. This Facility prioritizes Money Before the Students, Ruining The Grades of Students is one of the main Problems of this campus. Terrible Registration System, Most of the Time you can't even Take a look at your grades they don't have an online system to look at your grades you have to physically go and take a look at your grades and that isn't even available most of the time.

Not the best University in Ethiopia! But better than the government owned universities. They also have a very poor registration system which needs improvement. The registration queue is so long and tiresome. The teachers work in several university private & government so expect the same teacher attitude.

Terrible University I can't really say much about there learning process and the quality of education because I don't know much about it. But one thing I can say for sure is that they are very terrible in human resource. I mean they don't know how to treat person properly. …

The registration system is bulky, unorganized and old fashioned(no online register)and expect to be mistreated ones you're there .although you get good education i would say even better than some public universities..the only downside is its mostly theory based not practical.

Next to Addis Ababa University, Unity University is amongst the top private universities in the country, with both an organised faculty and with a very optimal location, the university is highly considered an option.

Although it may have nearly adequate facilities, it has abysmal standards for admission rendering the majority of the student body inept and incompetent. All in all it's a 'fallback'.
