"My very favorite grocery store by far! Once you get the hang of picking up boxes as you go and keeping a spare quarter in the car, it's GREAT! The prices and quality combined provide the best overall value of any store"
"Newly expanded store is a pleasure to shop at"
"Cashier Irene at this location is very rude"
Aldi has a great reputation and almost a cult-like following. I went yesterday and I can see why. I normally go to one of the most expensive grocery stores in Charlotte, just because it's convenient to where I live. I was actually shocked at the price differences. The prepackaged chef and chicken BLT salads I get that are over $5 at other stores? $2.50 at Aldi. A buck for a baguette. The prices are just amazing, and the Aldi Finds aisle is so much fun! From what I've heard, you just never know what you'll find! I didn't buy any meat, but it looked fresh and delicious, especially the salmon and pork chops. I look forward to trying some things from that department on my next trip. There are several self-checkout registers and a few lines for cashiers. You must bring your own bags because they don't provide, and bag your own groceries. That's part of how they keep the prices down. I only had the opportunity to interact with one staff member, and he was super helpful and friendly. Aldi is not a place where you'll find expensive specialty items, but if you're going for the basics, as well as some possible unique items you won't find other places, it's really great!
Everytime I come here to shop mobility scooter is always out of order. I have a disabled daughter who have a orthopedic foot condition and she uses the scooter while in store. When we walk into store there was a sign on scooter that said out of order. My daughter still sat in scooter and when she turn it on it work. 20 minutes in the store shopping Matt ( who was in store stacking up food) walk up to my daughter and explained to her that scooter have out of order sign on it because will randomly stop. I do appreciate him for provided her the information but it would have been best if he walked up to the parent and explain that information to me. If the scooter is not usable it should not be in the store. The store manager needs to be responsible for ordering a new one or replace it and fixing the broken one.
My very favorite grocery store by far! Once you get the hang of picking up boxes as you go and keeping a spare quarter in the car, it's GREAT! The prices and quality combined provide the best overall value of any store. What I love about it is that it is so time saving because you either want what they have or you don't. You don't have to pause and comparison shop for each item. It's just boom!, boom! in the cart. The store is also small so I can get in and out quickly. I have 3 teens who can EAT! Once I had a loaded cart and I thought the people in line behind me were going to burst into applause when the cashier announced my total. Also, I often see people I know there, which is nice. And you will never know what you can find in the aisle of shame.
Newly expanded store is a pleasure to shop at. My family was open-minded to switch from national brands give Simple Nature and other Aldi store brands a try. I was hesitant to buy their produce because most is pre-bagged but we've been impressed with freshness, quality, taste and package size. Best for me is price! Second best is store size. No mega store parking or floorplan. Easy in & out. I rarely even thought to go to Aldi's in the past - but shopping there for a solid month has changed my mind. Now it's my main grocery store and I'll continue to be a 'regular'. Thanks Aldi!
Cashier Irene at this location is very rude. I put my bag in the cart and I was told "I'm not packing you" "I wasn't asking anyone to pack " I replied. "Put your bag aside I fill a cart and you pack yourself" "I wasn't asking anyone to pack " I replied. Voiced my concern and called for Manager. Not much help there ether. Cashier didn't allow me to talk, screaming over & trying to prove her POV. Unbelievable! I'm a paying customer , no need to raise your voice at me. Hoping corporate office will respond and will make every effort to prevent this from happening in the future.
I have consistently shopped at Aldi since they opened here for these reasons: pricing, small size of store (quick in and out) and good produce. I usually stop by in way home from work to pick up a few things with a quick in and out. There have been a couple of changes to those reasons that are making me reconsider. Their prices have gone up and it's no longer a quick stop for me. Regardless of the day or time I go, there is always a LONG line and wait. Why not open a self service check-out and keep your prices low? There is plenty of competition in this town.
10/04/2019 at 3:58 There was a cashier with what seems to be a shower cap on her head. was aggressive in her tone towards me. She asked me to put in my card before she was finish scanning my items for purchase. The many times I've shopped in that store that never happened. I'm the moped guy with the black and yellow safety motorcycle jacket & GoPro helmet. That was impolite for her to be that way. I hope someone explains to her that her attitude is not acceptable. (I may be checking out a different Aldi's to see if it doesn't have the same situation.)
Great Aldi's, I have stopped coming because of the traffic, Pineville location is nice! I also had an issue with an employee who tried to tell me that an item i returned was already there. Lucky the nice lady i originally talked to cleared it up. Other than that this is a great store mark off as of may 7 because of traffic to get there for me from s Tryon (because of the Tyvola construction) and that Pineville is nicer. This is my second choice within the area. Close second with the one off Carowinds because they never have anything.
Honestly, I love Aldi. Regardless of what city I find myself in I always shop the closest one. But I have never encountered such rude employees! From the cashier to the shift manager. Who hired these people?! I know Aldi is all about efficiency and low costs but since when is customer service on the back burner for things such as a simple greeting at the checkout?? It's a shame because Aldi has always been great with their products and services. Will have to find a different Aldi to frequent because this one is terrible!
The food selection and prices are awesome. The store is always clean and well stocked. I simply refuse to shop there anymore because of the high level of racial profiling. I used to shop there every weekend and from the time I entered the store until the time I left I was followed around by store staff -in every single isle I went to all the way to the register. I would think that they would treat a paying patron with more dignity and respect. I guess that's the America we live in, Trump's America.
Just left there, cashier didn't say anything close to a greeting, no Good Morning or anything, just looked at me and told me my total..and the store just opened about an hour ago. The actual Aldi's store looked good, I was impressed with the variety of food and how fresh everything looks. Lots of fruits and veggies, at low prices! This company pays pretty good...please do better with hiring cashiers, Customer Service should be a thing, I didn't notice it in this young lady. very unprofessional.
The location on Old Pineville Rd is the absolute worst. They make it a habit to have only 1 register open no matter how busy the store gets. Another customer commented how awful the service is at this location. As we conversed about the 1 register open while 50 customers wait in line... A manager opens another register, took the 2 complaining (me and the other woman) and immediately closed the register after our transactions. So, the other 48 customers continued waiting in line....awful!
This hurts to say but the quality of the vegetables has gone down. I've seen gnats and rotten food in full display. I'm pretty familiar with some of the staff and I see them always working and very open to removing the bad product and apologizing. I appreciate that but inspection of food areas would benefit a bit more. I bought two heads of cabbage to find out 4 days later after removing first layers it was rotten on one of them. Disappointing.
Although this is the closest location to me I dread having to shop here. Getting in and out of the parking lot is a crapshoot no matter what time of day. Usually at least 4 items on my list are not in stock --- I went back to this store 3x in 2 weeks and they still did not have organic eggs. I will say the cashier associates are always cheerful and pleasant. They are also quick to clean up any spills or mess in the aisles.
I like ALDI when I am there and the prices are meh, get home and the products always leave something to be desired. Color me unimpressed, terrible customer service and it takes forever to check out. They should get some cashiers and finally some bags! I think in the end every other grocery store is better. It's not a good value if you do not eat it. IT'S THE FLEA MARKET OF FOOD STORES! You get what you pay for.
This is the cleanest and most organized Aldi I've ever been to. Everything was stocked as should be and didn't see 1 thing out if place which made my shopping easier. Security made me feel safer than normal. Cashiers are very fast and friendly. Most importantly thank you for being the only store (that's not new) spending money and getting new shopping carts that look and move extremely well and smooth!
So I don't know much about many Aldi locations but this place is great to get many of the same products that you can from Harris Teeter and Publix for a fraction of the cost. On two separate trips I got the same list of items for $48 and $45 that previously cost $87 and $79 from Harris Teeter. I don't get meats here though as they don't offer cold cuts but even if they did I'm not sure I would anyhow.
Best price and good quality, I still I have my GPS from 4 years ago and works better than my iPhone . Good location and and the best part they have organic product. Good deals every 15Th. days. Low prices, good quality. I found some tools that I bought for small project in home. I love the fresh organic lettuce for my daily smoothie, ALDI became one of the most trust brand in the area.
I love ❤️ going there to get certain produce It,s the bomb!!! Every time I go to Aldi I get a Deal. Especially the one on 49 south ,the on Park Rd is even. The only thing the don't carry any more is sugar free orange marinade. Well you win them all. !!! P.S I pray they will consider bring this product back for the sake of the diabetic people. Thanks CEO for a great place to shop.
It's just getting worse!! I used to loved this place, but now it's becoming chaotic. There are a lot more customers and very few employees, which they have to do everything!! Restock, cahier, cleaning etc. This place is becoming more popular for the products they offer but service is in decline. Sometimes I feel their employees are exploited, but that's just my personal opinion.
Low prices, good store brands - that's the appeal. However, they claim to have a mask requirement, but it's just PR. I was in line today behind a young family of 3 who were mask-less. Neither the cashier nor the security guard said anything to them. I asked the cashier about the mask policy and she stated that it is not enforced. Please take down the signs and cut the pretense.
Hey, it's Aldi... They have put considerable effort into improving the customer experience and ambiance of all of their stores (at least the ones in the greater Charlotte area). They have also improved the consistency from store to store. My experiences at this store have all been very positive since the renovation... The staff is friendly and seem to enjoy working there.
Dislike not being able to reach this store by phone. It is necessary for your customers to be able to contact your store directly and not thru the 855 number where nobody responds to your call. Dislike that. Great prices at the store and fairly good products but they are not doing a good job with customer service due to the lack of communication available.
Staff is very rude. I spoke and the cashier said nothing back. Another white guy working was watching me as if I was going to steal something. I'm guessing alot of people in that area may steal, but it's very rude to stereotype me because I'm black. The store was clean and they had what I needed, but I will stay away from this location.
Great produce, fresh vegetables, and great prices. I just moved from GA. Back to Charlotte and was looking for places to shop for reasonable prices for organic items and a friend told me to check out this place omg. I am so glad she did. I like this place hopefully they will start carrying fresh seafood and cinnamon sticks. Thanks
This is just an average Aldi. The police officer at the door and the cashier were friendly. They do appear to be sterilizing cards right now. And all employees are wearing masks. I wish they had more health food options and better produce. But not all Aldi stores have these things. They have all the basics and essentials though.
The customer service is awesome the clerks are very friendly and helpful and cautious when stocking to keep things full & presentable. My Favorite location. When lines are building up Ms. Brittney is always nearby to assist to get things under control. Thanks to everyone for a nice shopping experience everytime I visit.
No complaints about Aldi. I enjoy grocery shopping when it doesn't feel like I'm being robbed blind. Their produce selection and especially QUALITY is untouchable. The lower, reasonable prices has no affect on the quality when comparing it to the fancier chains in this area. Better quality for way less $s.
So damn crowded. And they always have boxes and clean up machines in the aisles. It's a terrible shopping experience to save a little money. Not sure it's worth it. Employees aren't very nice in my experience, but neither am I by the time I get through that mess of a store, so maybe that's why.
Much more expensive than the other aldi's I've been to in throughout many states. Milk here is 2.79(other aldis is half that price) eggs are 1.19 per dozen while in other states they are 43 cents per dozen. Plus they do not have bags, you are forced to buy their 2$ bags.
The people who work here are always friendly and they have a surprisingly big stock of items. A few items in inventory are limited though so you have to get it while it's in stock or you'll most likely miss out, but I kind of find that part of the fun with shopping here.
Manager offered horrendous service and is very confused about how to treat a customer. My wife left that store with our baby and child frustrated that she was talked to like a naughty school child. Avoid this store, and use the Matthews one if you have to. Horrible.
You always get a great deal!I can get out of there and under $100 and have a bunch of bunch of bunch of groceries! I wish they carry Pepsi products I can always get a great value there. They have a nice selection of meat and I highly recommended it.Its quite Good.
Excellent selection and price. Great deals on quality seafood surprisingly. Obviously less selection than larger stores, but the majority of the time you just need staples.. granulated salt is granulated salt.. staff is exceedingly efficient at the register.
Store is clean, well staffed, well stocked, and has great value finds, organic brands and variety. The parking lot can be difficult to get out of depending on traffic and time of day. Same values as Trader Joe's just less snooty and less hippee.
The cashier checked me out was name Brian he was getting pounded with customers non stop and maintained his cool. Very pleasant and attentive under a lot of pressure being he was the only sales associate working the checkout . I was impressed.
Convenient location, friendly staff. Go early on the weekends though, by noon or 1pm, it's crazy crowded and the narrow aisles make it difficult to navigate. Also they tend to run out of common essentials (eggs, bananas) later in the day.
Very crowded. The manager did not make an effort to open up another Lane even though she walked by and could clearly see that there were 20 people in each of the two lanes that were open. The bread aisle was almost completely sold out.
Needed to pick up something quickly so went to Aldi. Plenty of parking. Had to use the restroom but as it was 15 mins to closing, they had blocked it off. Masks was a requirement to get in but don't know if it was inforced
Like any store you need to check carefully before you buy. Canned goods are excellent and half price to the national brands. If you are a scratch baker this is your place for nuts, dried fruits, some spices and extracts.
Man everytime I walk in and grab a basket full of stuff, walk up to the cash register and think "here goes a month's paycheck" to be pleasantly surprised with a purchase under $50 every time without fail. Aldi is a gem
I love Aldi stores but I found the staff particularly rude here. It was extremely busy and they appeared to be understaffed, but that's no excuse when someone is asking you about flax seeds and you have an attitude.
I like Aldi's for specific things. I cannot do my entire grocery shopping here. Not a bad store at all. I dislike shopping without a cart or having to put a quarter in just to shop. And the thought of buying bags???
I like the food. Had a bad experience with the cashier she was very rude I asked her did I do anything to her she barely said anything not even have a nice day not even hello people like this needs to be replaced.
Pleasant shopping experience. Very clean, updated store. Well stocked and you can't beat the prices! Their store brand items are comparable to national brands . Never been unhappy with any purchase from this Aldi.
In and out for my weekly shopping experience. When I walked in, there were three cashiers. When I left they were down to one. I also got to experience a tour of recently hired employees. Interesting to listen to.
I like Aldi. It has almost everything Costco has, which is around the corner, but items are just enough for a single person. Not family size amounts which makes me feel like I'm prepping for nuclear fallout.
Not as fantastic selection as the Aldi down tryon street and maybe worth the extra ten minutes. Smaller too but do remember to bring your own bags and quarter for the cart unless you want to use your arms!
Unbelievably bad service. Checker let mend on line 10 minutes before she put her closed sign out & told me to go to a different register. I've emailed aldi already. I can't believe i spent $ there.
Worst store ever! Last time we got yogurt from this store, it was moldy. Yes, black mold in our yogurt. Everything taste so frozen and old. Don't like this store anymore. Will never go back again!
Some of the best prices in town and a delicious selection of European chocolates. Also finds are one time specials, what a thrill to find great seafood. Great price on organic eggs and avocados.
Good visit. They were out of the main things I went to get. Blueberries and raspberries. Aldi needs to learn how to cull their produce. Found some product that had mold on it or was rotten.
This store has a great location for me but the service is pretty bad. Every time the employees have been very unpleasant to interact with. When I have the time to shop somewhere else, I do.
If you're looking for a quick shopping on the run and save up money it's the place. What I buy there? Good chocolate, alcohol, cheese, coffee and nuts. I would never touch the meat there.
I am not a huge fan of ALDI in general, but I must say this location seems to be a cut above others that I have shopped. It's clean, spacious, and offers a larger selection than others.
Thr food selections and prices are great. The lines, there are none. The cashiers are pleasant and quick. The customer service, on the floor, knows where everything is. I love ALDI!!!!
I went to Aldi for a couple of things. Just to know, please don't waste your time going after 7:45 because even they said closed at 8:00 pm, they are already closed by around 7:45 pm.
Managed to get in and out fairly quickly even though there were only 2 registers open. Going in at the last hour helps. Store seemed well stocked and food that I purchased was fresh.
This Aldi's has friendly staff and is generally stocked very well. They still have a limit of 1 pack TP and 1 pack paper towels, which is great because it means you can get them!
Aldi had stuff so nice that it of course.. was stolen by a UPS rep. Didn’t even make it to its recipients door. Sad-but someone got an amazing care package for valentine’s day.
Food is fresh ,produce omg great. And very good if your budgeting your money. 100.00 will take you a very long way if you shopping for a large family or small. Great store.
Discount grocery store. Stopped in but they did not have sale items that I was looking for. Wasted trip. Kind of hit or miss. Better for browsing than shopping from a list.
Great produce if you know your way around. No much help if you need to fund stuff. Sometimes cashier can be very rude, today it was a very nice lady. Overall great price!
The Black employee Irene is so rude and entitled do you think you're Beyonce? The Black employees that work here are pretty disgusting they look unfit to work for Aldi.
I was disappointed the store didn't have a good selection of fish and there was no lemon juice for the amount of money I spent didn't get a good selection of groceries
Love this store since the remodel. They usually have the best price on groceries. The staff is friendly. Word of advice, don't go on Sundays, the place is packed!
Very well priced and efficient grocer. Most shoppers go to get a cart and buy in bulk. I often go in and grab a quick, cheap and healthy breakfast before work.
Very clean store and the employees were very helpful and friendly. I was on this side of town so it was very convenient for me to shop there. Easy in/easy out.
Frequently shop here the cashier's knock out there lines your never in line more than five minutes. We love aldi you can't beat the prices for eggs and milk!
A true surprise all the great things I found on my first trip. Couldn't believe all I got and for affordable prices. Coming again every week now
Great little store. They don’t have everything but they all the Basics. And the best produce prices in town. Be sure to bring your own bags.
Clean, bright, newly remodeled. Wide aisles and plenty of room makes for a fast and easy shopping experience. This place is my go-to.
Another level... makes me feel deeply in Europe market. Every thing - well displayed- courtesy personnel - fast lanes - easy to pay!
Great chicken breast packets. It's always fresh and priced to sell. And, their frozen flounder filets is a nice buy. Quite tasty.
Fairly well stocked. Seems to be busy, but not overcrowded when we shop here. And - as always, good prices for good products.
Love Aldi's. Prices are always good and a nice selection as well. Never know what's going to be new. Definitely my go to!
Well-assorted, clean, German supermarket with German and local products. Reasonable prices. Good environmental standards
Very nice grocery store cause it has everything not as much as Costco but definitely more then Walmart I love aldi a lot
Standard Aldi store — this location has a limited amount of gluten-free options which is why I typically go to Aldi.
Much better since the remodel. Usually pretty busy. Staff isn't the cheeriest but not rude. 10/10 would aldi again
Not enough cheap bags. Someone keeps buying all my chef salads . Most of the products are inexpensive. …
I was happy there were almost no people in at 11am. Cheap strawberries, grape. Watermelon on sale isn't sweet
Great little store.....amazing low prices on everything. Go, save some $$$$$, you won't be disappointed.
I have a Audi Baltimore City I am now in Charlotte North look forward and continuing to shop there.
Store was a little crowded but I was in and out. Clean restrooms. Nice selection. Courteous staff.
Great prices on quality products. Staff is always friendly. Great shopping experience every time!
Great customer service. A bit bummed that they were out of some seasonal items I was looking for.
Great place to buy groceries and else. Prices waiting for any pocket. Highly recommended to go.
huge queues in the store, employees are slow. prices are higher compared to some other stores.
This place is always for a baddie on a budget! I got what I needed! Never disappoint!
My neighborhood store, I can find anything I need, great pricing, and quality produce
Great deals here. Check out people are really nice. They have self check out also.
It's always fun shopping here. Affordable products and fresh produce. Love Aldi!
Very Clean and has plenty of supplies. Great service and low prices.. #SALUTE
Pretty clean store, most times I can find what I'm looking for and in stock.
Always clean, with lowest prices on milk and eggs along with other items.
I like Aldi stores but this area isn't where I want to shop
Unfortunately they haven't been stocked up like usual
Need more items on vegetables shelf
