My experience with AARC was below satisfactory. I had a car done with them in the year of 2017-2018. The car had an issue and they said that the fuel pump system needed replacement. After it was replaced it was running alright but after 5 months the car started to have some problems. When I went back to them and had it checked they said that it was just the "o - ring" missing. They even want to charge me for it even though the replaced parts was still under warranty. So I told them that is still under warranty, then it was free of charge. After several months it started to have an issue, so what I did is I did my research and looked for the one who specialises in my type of car. The new mechanic that I went through recently who specialise for my car did a thorough diagnosis of the car and they found out that the fuel system needs replacing as it was the problem. I told them that it was just replaced in the year of 2017-2018. They told me that the work that AARC did was dodgy and the quality of work when they have replaced it was very poor. There were parts that was missing and etc. Basically, it was a mess and terrible work. One of the experience as well with them that turned me off and was disappointed at was they will email you the price of how much overall cost and when I was about to pay they told me of a different price which was more higher. I was so disappointed with their secretary and I don't want to name her here. They will also tell you to go for this raffle to win an "IPAD" or whatever if you put a review in google reviews, so I did not do it until now. Basically this is one of the tactic they'll use to have more reviews in the google reviews. If you google "car mechanic in Adelaide" it will show that AARC is in the top list as it has many reviews and therefore will lead you to think that they really have good reputation. Google does not give you good quality mechanics. It is a trial and error to go through every mechanic and finding the right one who can do quality job. It can be a pain but it's part of it. I made the review just recently because you will never know the result or quality of work on the day it was fixed. Time does tell whether there quality of work is worth it or not. But for my experience it is a very poor work and terrible. Well that is my experience and I am happy spending this time writing this review because this is not just for me but for the people looking at this review either they think twice going through AARC or go with them. At the end of the day, this is an individual case experience and unfortunately I just had bad times with them.

I contacted these guys through email and others for quotes. I was met with a quick response and great price. Others took a couple of days to get back to me with higher prices. I thought I needed the Valley Cover and Rocket Cover done because that is what I had been told by to previous mechanics. I could only take my car there on the weekend. The best part is they let me drop it off Friday night to save the hassell of doing it Saturday morning. They called me to let me know that it wasn't the Valley Cover the Rocket Cover was fine it was leaking through somewhere else. I can't remember because I didn't write it down. I was quoted $680 and $750 from the other quotes that I received back. I walked away on paying $179. All I can say is that Eric and his team are honest. Before taking my car their they quoted me $520 to do the other jobs that I thought needed done because I was told they did. So I would have still come out in front. But the honesty of not just doing the work for the money and just fixing the problem they have found is a big bonus in my book. Car is still working great and the best part no more leaks. Well done guys I will be coming back for sure.

A year ago I needed my 100,000 km major service done on my car . I rang around Adelaide and found Mark at Adelaide Automotive Repair centre. He explained everything that would be replaced and should be attended to whilst the car was in. He then not only gave me the best price in town he promptly emailed me a detailed quote with all the parts and labour he had discussed. I went ahead had the major service done. They completed the job in the time they said it would be done and the price. I picked up the car and they had even washed and vacuumed it wow. Since then I have had my brakes done and 4 new tyres by AARC once again they offered the best value for dollar by explaining which brands would give me the best performance over time. For the best honest service and the best prices in town I think you cant go past Mark, Monique and the great guys at Adelaide Automotive Repair Centre I am happy to recommend them to my family and friends. It's hard to find somebody you can trust these days. My last mechanic told me my car was shuddering under accelaration because my transmission was dead and that I needed to replace it at a cost of around $3,000. These guys told me I had a few loose bolts that needed tightening.......$0. They tightened the bolts and would you believe it..... no shuddering.... transmission appears to be fine. These guys are knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic and very keen to help in any way they can. They even fit towbars if you ask them to! Their pricing is way under anybody else I've ever come across and they will find a way to service your car as soon as you want it serviced. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of cars and don't have an idea the mechanic about a car. They helped me with the dashboard problem awhile ago and I was happy with the result. This time, I put my car in for a regular service after a long while. They explained to me that the car is not in a good condition, which parts needs to be fixed and does it worth to be fixing. However, the price did ended up with quite high due to the problem with my car; and they did tried their best and rang around to find a cheaper parts for me. I cannot appreciate more for the work that they've done. I know that they were paid to get the job done, but most people wouldn't sit at the owner point of view to think. It was my first time having my car serviced here and I was really impressed with the service as a whole. The team went above and beyond my expectations. They were helpful and insightful when I asked questions. I was also in admiration of the teams thorough work when they presented me with a little booklet that stated all that they have don't in the service with a little photo of my car as well as a list of anything that needs attention. There were no hidden costs. Before my car had its service, they let me know of any costs involved and let me know they would call me if there were any issues/not replace something unless I had approved it first. My experience here was a really positive one and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new place to take their car.

Since I recently moved to Adelaide, I had no idea which car repair service to choose. So I based my decision on the five star reviews on Google, and I do not regret it. I was really pleased with the service at AARC. I wanted to have my 2000 Mitsubishi Magna checked before making a road trip, and AARC gave me good advice on the service possibilities. The staff was friendly, and communication was great. I brought my car in at 8.30am, I received a call at noon to discuss which problems the car had and what should be fixed, with a clear view on the cost of these repairs. As soon as I agreed on the repairs, they fixed the car and I could pick it back up at 5pm. Thanks guys, keep up the good work! Sam Kinds

I'm suspicious that the vast majority of gushing positive reviews for this place are fake - almost all of the reviewers have only submitted one review. This car service centre is ok, but certainly not outstanding as most reviews would suggest. Positives - 1. they explained everything they found/fixed and they provided a detailed safety report, 2. the price was reasonable Negatives - 1. The interior upholstery had grease/oil in multiple places. 2. The "bonus" car wash that many reviewers talk about is not free - you have to pay an extra $20 for it. Not the worst car service we've ever had, but not the best either. Lesson learned - don't rely on Google reviews!!

My car has not had anyone look at her for the last 5 years. Not because I had no time to take her in to see a mechanic, but more that I had not found a mechanic I could trust and did not feel like I was taken for a ride once payment had been made. To Mark and the team at AARC. When I moved to Adelaide I needed a honest, reliable mechanic who were efficient and effective in diagnosing issues with my VZ and VK BT1. I've been taking my car to AARC for a while now for regular servicing of my vehichle because of the great prices and friendly customer service. As a female, I'm often worried about being over-charged for any mechanical work, but I have always found them to be honest about repairs and prices are within my budget. I love that they vacuum and wash the outside of my car as well! I use to take my car for it's regular log book servicing through the car dealership where I bought my car, but found that prices were getting ridiculous. After having a terrible experience with another mechanic I was referred to Adelaide Automotive Repairs. I travelled from the other side of Adelaide to take my car here, they looked at it immediately and told me my fuel injectors needed replacing. I was freaking out as it was 5.00pm on Friday, I was stuck on the other side of the Adelaide from my house, had no-one to pick me up and no car to get to work over the weekend. We have a xc90 volvo, have been taking it to a volvo dealer but it didn't steer straight and breaks squeezed. Took it here and both things are now gone. I think the last place just wanted to service the car and nothing hard or out of the ordinary. This is not the case with Adelaide Automotive. You had over your car they fix it you pay them, simply, no stories no extra costs.

I am not the most car savvy person and not afraid to admit that I was fearful of heading to the mechanics. Therefore I am so happy to recommend this business. Would not use this company again they broke my passenger side mirror then covered it up. Made it look alright till I opened the door and the mirror feel down I know it was them because the position of my switch to adjust the mirrors was in the wrong spot.

Absolutely appalling service and complete lack of communication. Despite multiple calls and reminders they took over a month to book an assessment for my car. Other places will get an assessment completed within the week.

Very efficient. I was happy with the price, I wasn't oversold. A text was sent to me when the car was ready. The car had been washed, vacuumed in the front and tyre blacked plus the brakes are working a treat.
