Having recently moved to Hamilton I was looking for a local. Wandered into this gem a very friendly group of regulars who made me feel welcome right away. Barb tge owner is friendly and makes some killer soups! Excellent food and an all round great experience every time i visit.

The burger was great, as were the chicken fingers. Unfortunately, the fries were very dark with way too many little bits of fries. Service was friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I'd been once before and tried the fish and chips with no issues with the fries. Will probably try again

Great friendly bar locals every day. Great home cooked food, specials every day along with their every day menu. Prices are very reasonable. Fish and chips every Friday excellent liver and onions first Wednesday of every month. Had their big pig burger the other day took me 2 days to eat it.

Best breakfast I have found in a long time, definitely get what you pay for! Has a nice environment with great staff that are fast and friendly. Take a moment and check out BAR 54 you won’t regret it!

Had a nice long conversation with the owner. Very friendly and accommodating. She has an excellent rapport with her staff and customers.
