A couple months ago we went and the main girl / who I believe is the owner / told us there was no dairy in any of the food they made and that they “cook with oil”. Out of 4 times we went, we asked three other times and they said no dairy in the food. We had it a few times and I honestly had suspicions based on some symptoms my little guy was having after I ate it. He has a pretty bad dairy intolerance and we avoid dairy in everything/treat it like a true allergy. I asked my partner to double check about the food being dairy free tonight. The same woman who I believe is the owner was working said yes there’s a small amount in the batter of the chicken balls. So my partner asked me did I want something else. Well upon asking more questions, pretty much all their chicken has dairy. They can’t even confirm the ingredients in their food.. So I didn’t order. We were regular customers for a long time but being lied to about what’s in the food and putting our little guy at risk is unacceptable and we will never be back.

Ordered a week or ago and everything was just perfect! again, BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT IN ONTARIO! Food is always fresh, hot and well prepared as far as cooking time! I don't usually write reviews, but this restaurant has compelled me through its exceptional service. This was one of the best experiences in Asian cuisine I've had for the following reasons: 1. The service was simply phenomenal- I don't remember the last time I was treated with such courtesy, especially with the young man working the cashier. He appears always ready, and professionally capable of efficiency. 2. The food- simply divine. Although I ordered take out, the atmosphere was overall pleasant and the food didn't take long. I was astounded by the quality of food as well, in addition to the cheerful "Enjoy your meal!" from the young man at the cashier. This made my day. 3. Specially on the quality of food, the Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls was the best I've ever had. I was "ballin'" and savored every taste. I HIGHLY recommend it, and simply going to this amazing restaurant. I'll definitely be coming back often. :)

We enjoyed the rice, lemon chicken and ginger beef (eastern style not breaded) but were disappointed in chop suey vegetables is was 99% sprouts with a couple of pepper slices so I do not recommend that dish.

Best Chinese in Barrhaven! Great sweet and sour pork, honey garlic spare ribs, chicken balls, chicken fried rice was good egg roll was not greasy and filled with mostly meat. Only down side is a limited distance they delivery I believe they only deliver in Barrhaven. However, if you live in Barrhaven very quick delivery time! Price is good! Overall excellent place! Update May 2021: the place is still excellent! Update Oct 2023: still amazing!

Our first time to try Asian Dragon earlier today and we ended up ordering the chicken fried rice with chop suey combo. While the overall taste was not bad, the small serving of fried rice is made of broken rice (fragmented) and the chop suey is really bean sprouts with a negligible amount of finely sliced carrots, no other veggies. The saving grace was slices of chicken. $9.61 total including taxes and the counter person wanted us to pay cash as opposed to using credit card. Definitely not the chop suey we had in mind nor the chicken fried rice made of broken rice. For almost $10.00, it might be worth looking at other restaurants nearby.

Great Chinese food. Tonight was my first time trying Asian Dragon. Now Chinese is by far my favourite kind of takeout. You definitely won't be let down by the food. It's a tad bit pricey compared to other places; however the quality of the food is superior. My favourites were the sweet and sour pork chop, general Tao, and Lemon chicken. I'd say the chicken fried rice and stir fry egg noodles were average but above average egg roll. I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. But since I can't it's closer to a 5 than a 4. This is my new go-to spot for Chinese in Barrhaven area. I will definitely be ordering again!

Very good food. Excellent taste. The staff are also very pleasant I only have two small quibbles First, I was ordering on Mother's Day and it was impossible to get through on the phone. I finally had to go there in person to place the order since you can't order online Second, they offer a FREE Chicken Fried Rice with any order over $ 43. Nice offer; BUT, I would suggest that it should instead be a FREE Chicken Fried Rice for EACH $ 43 value of the order. We purchased almost $ 89 worth of food (before tax). I feel we should have gotten TWO Chicken Fried Rice, not just one

There isin’t enough stars for this place… I have been living in Barrhaven for a little over two years and can’t believe I haven’t tried this place sooner! We were so disappointed with the Chinese food in the area and would drive to the east end to pick up our food but we won’t need to do this anymore!!! Thank you for the delicious food, even our picky 11 month old loved it!

On a birthday Monday, our usual Chinese take-out was closed. So we Googled an alternative, and chose Asian Dragon (mainly because of its good reviews). It turned out to be GREAT choice. The owner took our order very cheerfully. It was ready before the estimated time. Then, when we brought it home, we were blown away. It cost about the same as our "regular place", but the portion sizes were twice as much! And the taste was much better, too. We now have a new "favourite place."

Good food for a good price. I often get two combo meals; I find them a better deal and better variety than the dinner for twos. There's always enough food leftover for another meal, too. I've never been a fan of ordering things on the phone, so since that's the only contactless ordering option for this restaurant, I haven't ordered at all since the pandemic started. I wish they'd allow me to order another way, even if it comes at a higher price to offset the ridiculous cuts some of the ordering services take.

Yesterday, my husband and I went to the restaurant and met Sandy, she is friendly and nice lady. All the food was absolutely delicious!!!! . Large portions and you can share with your family or friends. The price was reasonable. Personally, the taste remembered us "Chifa" (the mix of Cantonese food and Peruvian food that you can only find in every corner in Lima, Peru.). It was like enjoying food in our home country. We loved it!!! ... We'll be back soon .. For us, Asian Dragon is 100% recommendable. ****

It was really good. I got strong (spicy) beef and broccoli, garlic spare ribs, dumplings and, hot and sour soup for a few of us to share. The hot and sour soup was the best I’ve ever had, though all of it was fantastic. Definitely my new go to restaurant. I got it for delivery and they said it would take an hour (completely reasonable) I was also just lucky they managed to come after just 30-40 minutes after I phoned. I appreciate when businesses are honest. Thank you!

Food quality was good, the time estimate of 30 minutes from the time we called was just about bang-on. The combo dishes are kind of neat; we cleaned them out and my wife is going to use them in her kindergarten class. My only complaint is the guy working the front counter needs help :-) He was very busy the night we came in, answering phones, taking walk-in orders and taking payments. It's good though seeing a locally owned business being busy.

Food was fantastic, hot and fresh, ready as quickly as it is to pick up a pizza, price was great and my wife and I were impressed with the amount of food for the price. I can't even finish but I want to because it's so damn good. Staff were incredibly pleasant and they strike me as very reasonable people who know how to run a business. Excellent food, clean place, great people. They got more than just the food recipes right! See you again!

Decided to try this place because the menu seemed really nice! We're from Kanata area but drive over to Barrhaven once in awhile and decided to place a pickup order. All the food was really good! The dumplings I cannot say enough how good they are, very juicy and lots of filling! Chow mein was excellent! Really yummy beef rice noodle dish too! The staff was very friendly and talkative, very nice people! Would recommend this place! :)

We decided to try this place for something new and we were pleasantly surprised. Typically our experience with Chinese food has been average - average service, delivery and food. This place though really took it up a notch. Quick delivery, friendly phone service and the food was MUCH better. We've ordered from here twice now and both times we had the same great experience. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

A terrific family-run business, I've been seeing the same faces for years; the masters of consistency. Never sold out to the delivery apps and it's the ONLY restaurant in Barrhaven that never dipped in quality through the pandemic. By far Barrhaven's best Chinese food, and the best Cantonese chow mein I've found in Ottawa. I will only order from them as long as they're around.

Highly enjoyable experience! Happy with the quality and quantity of food. Price was pretty typical for Chinese take out. Good flavours and not over salty as I find a lot of take-out is. The lady at the front cash was incredibly friendly and helped me decide on what to order. Really happy with the quick service as well. My large order was ready in 15 minutes. I will definitely go back here in future.

Not sure what people have complained about the rice for but not my or my husband’s experience. The combo plate portions are huge, everything was fresh and hot when it arrived. Service was fine for a Friday night. Telephone orders are a breeze and the person who answered was very helpful. Open ended egg rolls are delicious. Thank you for the amazing food and service. Our new go-to place!

Wow! Friendly service, great food, super fast! Food was delicious and great quality with excellent size portions. Menu needs a price update as every plate we ordered was $1 more than the menu but it was totally worth it. I also liked that the chicken balls came in the combo 'dry' with a cup of sauce for you to use the right amount for yourself. Open til 9:30pm was perfect. Thanks!!!

Visit every week for a routine workday lunch. My wife and me both love it very much. Tried the Chicken Guy Ding, Garlic Ribs, Sesame Chicken and some other combo Items and they all taste great. The egg roll is a highlight and the best I have ever had in Ottawa. Large portion, great value, this is just the kind of Chinese restaurant that you want it to be in your neighborhood.

Delicious food made fresh every time! They also have like 200 items on their menu so I highly recommend checking out the menu before you show up/call during lunch hours when they get super busy.

Great food fast! That's what we like! 1st time ever ordering and we are pleasantly surprised. Hot and sour soup is exactly how it should be. The spring rolls were large and tasty. Very large portions with even distribution of meat to rice. Free chicken fried rice was included as promised! We will definitely be ordering from them again!

I don't order food outside often and have been pretty disappointed when I do. However, yesterday I had the opportunity to try a combination meal from Asian Dragon and WOW! Taste and portion size were both beyond my expectations. If you're hungry and craving Chinese food, I recommend giving this place a shot.

Love the food. Only place I've found in the area where the chicken balls have sizable chicken - no need for a microscope! Ditto the fried rice, Chow mein and other items. If I have to play hide and seek to find the good stuff I don't come back. We eat here regularly. Very happy with the service as well.

Ordered beef fried noodle tonight. Almost ate a small piece of glass/plastic buried in the noodle.... Taste is ok, but the broken glass/plastic is a deal breaker... Could have chipped my teeth or cut my tongue. Be careful!!

The food was very good for the price and the service was fast. However, do not eat there during the winter as it is very cold inside in the dining area. Vegetarian options are there although they are not plentiful.

Hands down the best Chinese food in Ottawa. Very generous with their portions and very courteous. Make sure to try their Sweet and sour sop and the spicy chicken wings. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone.

Not sure if we just got an off-night or what....was recommended to us but we found that all four different dishes just kind of tasted the same - very little flavour in any of them. Pretty disappointed.
