"A great historical and local park for everyone of all ages to enjoy"
"Good park, I'm not a pro by any means but enjoy skating around it, they recently redid the bowl, it was nice and smooth for a while but got some crazy cracks already which they went and fixed up, hopefully a good patch job and doesn't crack up more"
"Good skatepark, nice ramps and rails could use better maintenence but definitely still good"
"Redesigned by the skateboard community a few years ago"
"It was alright, it's meant for smaller children (like max I'd bring is an 8 year old and even then, its iffy) very small and quaint, wouldn't suggest bringing children who need more entertainment than one small jungle gym and a small splash pad, but if your kids skateboard it's a good place to take them to do that"
A great historical and local park for everyone of all ages to enjoy. There is a splash pad to keep cool during those hot summer heat waves and a jungle gym and swing set for kids to play on. The skate park is alright as they maintain it well. Great spot for practicing flat ground and street, and there is a great quarter pipe to practice on as well. Skaters heads up: Being near the downtown station you will often see bike cops patrolling. Be aware there is no smoking at all on the park grounds including the skate park. If you want to smoke you have to go on the sidewalks surrounding the park if you want to avoid fines. My only complaint would have to do with the parents drop off their young kids (Under 8 yrs) at the park and have nobody supervising them, as they tend to stray into the skate park endangering not just the skaters, but themselves. These younger kids although quite curious about skating haven't been taught the rules of the park. Whenever possible I urge parents to try to make them aware of the 'unspoken rules' in the skate park: 1. Kids should ALWAYS wear protective gear if they want to play/skate in the skate area, even if they aren't skating. This is because skateboards often go flying out from under skaters feet. Having a pressed piece of hard maple coming at your head can cause severe and/or permanent damage. Plus you can easily fall and smash your face! THIS IS MANDATORY and as Police often patrol the area you will be subject to fines if caught! 2. Everyone should always be aware of their surroundings, especially kids. If the kid is too young to have spatial awareness, please supervise them. 3. The golden rule is to never snake others and wait your turn. If you're coming into a group of people with an established line, ask who is last and go after them. Don't hesitate or wait too long because they will assume you're passing your turn! EVERYONE is welcome at the skate park! If you have a board or not, chances are that you will meet some great locals, and who knows maybe someone might have an extra board or let you use theirs. The Hamilton Skateboard Assembly calls Beasley home, and you will find they are just one big family!
Good park, I'm not a pro by any means but enjoy skating around it, they recently redid the bowl, it was nice and smooth for a while but got some crazy cracks already which they went and fixed up, hopefully a good patch job and doesn't crack up more. I generally go early morning, it's pretty empty. During school days it can get a little over run with kids prior to their day starting, usually not on a skateboard or even a scooter, just running around it. Can get fairly busy with people later in the day, but generally friendly, and even helpful if you need tips.
Good skatepark, nice ramps and rails could use better maintenence but definitely still good. Waterfountain at the edge of the park, with a playground for little ones. Sketchy area, but good park.
Playground
The playground has a slide and swings, haven't been on it but have seen it from afar. Can't say much about it but I know there is a splash pad there aswell
Restrooms
Don't think there are washrooms nearby. Public ones, atleast.
Picnic area
There is a small lawn between the park and the road, but has a lot of trees and litter.
Redesigned by the skateboard community a few years ago. It can be busy but it's large enough to allow beginners and experienced participants to coexist. Bicycles and scooters also use the space. Beside this is a children's splash pad, large ornamental fountain, children's playground, basketball courts and green space. A dribbler fountain with a dog fountain is included near the skatepark/splash pad.
It was alright, it's meant for smaller children (like max I'd bring is an 8 year old and even then, its iffy) very small and quaint, wouldn't suggest bringing children who need more entertainment than one small jungle gym and a small splash pad, but if your kids skateboard it's a good place to take them to do that.
A very nice park. It has a variety of skate boarding courses. It had a place for smaller children to play. It has a spladh pad where the water comes out of the wholes in the ground...meaning no fancy water spouters. But it is very nice clean park. I will bring my kids to skateboard here again.
Cute little park. There doesn’t seem to be much protection between the road and the park for little ones though. The skate boarders there like to talk a lot of garbage and through gay comments out to the people who walk by; sad to see which life them low lives are living.
Could be the city's most active and dynamic park. The skatepark is its most defining feature with street art. Skate kids, families, shade trees, community murals, right in the centre of this neighbourhood. The city should consider a pedestrian crossing at Mary and Wilson.
Current conditions are good for snowboarding with a bungee tied down to a bench, or snow skating if you have one. Get there within the next couple hours before it melts and snow should still be on down ramps and boxes. Have fun and stay safe! #HamiltonSkateboardAssembly
I skate here alot but the homeless people like to walk around the park when they are high, and with an actual children's water park around it makes myself uncomfortable and I bet the parents of the children uncomfortable, but other then that the actual park isnt bad
Super sick spot with everything you need for a beginner to advanced skater. The evolution of this park is absolutely amazing and a true community effort. Grab your board and helmet and hit up the good old Beas this summer - you won't regret it!
Awesome skatepark, swings, slide, drinking fountain, monkey bars, water splash pad, open field towards Cannon street. Typical small park. Situated very close to homeless shelter, which brings their company if you have concerns about the
I have always enjoyed the skateboards, rollerbladers and stunt bikes. Then the children playing while there parents look on. A safe place during the day for everyone. Patrolled frequently by police. All in all! A good place.
Love it! Quiet, but busy. Has a pretty cool skate park there, and a beautiful old fountain. It also has a great play area for kids. Perfect for a nice still or relaxing under a tree in the summer or having a picnic.
Great place good scenery and good as well as shaby graffiti throughout it but overall a sweet park for all your out door sports needs check it out next time in Hamilton, Ontario Canada …
I like the graffiti and that it seems to be a safe place where people of any age can enjoy themselves. Only one downfall as with most places unfortunately is some of the drug use and paraphernalia.
This place has a playground, fountain circle, walk through sprinkler zone , skate park, and an acre of field space. The park is for all ages, and I've seen several demographics.
I didn't have a very good experience. I didn't feel safe being there at all, especially after the sun goes down. A lot of less fortunate people around there. Very sad to say.
Good park for everyone, unfortunately people dirty the place...especially the skate boarders who use the dustbin for target practice after finishing their beers and ciggies
Park is great and so are half the people. But there is some dirty mouth kids there that you can't parent yourself so remind your children "don't be like that kid or.....!"
Very great layout and tons of different things to skateboard and even you wipe out, it doesn't even hurt that bad. It's spacious, never too busy and a chill environment
It's good to have the skate parks for the youth and those whom enjoy boarding but it's in a sketchy area, lots of weirdos and druggies around. Kind of unsafe
Has a nice skate park and ramps for people that has bikes and rollerblades and skateboards . A playground and swings for kids and a splash pad
Loads of fun,an outdoor park for the kiddos and a bowl to skate for the older ones. Pretty busy after school with children and adults …
Great neighborhood park, only drawback is that in the nicer weather you can often find the cities down and out taking naps during the day..
My review focuses mainly on the fabulous new skateboard area the city recently built and opened there...large well laid out area.
Been going there for over 20yrs and I bmx I've meet over half my friends there that skateboard I call this my home away from home
The city needs to get it's act together and fix up this park. Rent and house prices are up, but why isn't this park fixed?
Nice park with lot of benches to sit down and relax.... water foutain, swings, sea saw, skatepark also available here.
People always smoking in the park, skaters swearing, crackheads taking cover under the trees. Don't bring the kids
Wicked place to skate. Amateur or pro, young or old, all are welcomed to use at their own risk. SK OR DIE☠ …
Life changing. Great BBQs in summer, cool ice pad in winder, nice skatepark with good graffiti. Best park ever.
My daughter loves the skatepark there, there's a play group no picnic table, the park itself has no washrooms.
It was epic I go down steep hill into bowl on dinghy and other boards was epic time with bestest friendsdss
Newly built structures for kids, small splash pad and swing set makes for a decent time with the family.
Nice skateboarding action here in central Hamilton. Good place for kids to hone their boarding skills.
Nice park for a walk through to downtown and recreational skate park and basketball courts for youth.
Ive been going to this park since I was a kid. The additions they made in the 90's were great.
Great place to bring any skater/ x games family you have. No motorized transportation allowed.
Watching the talent and love watching people fall and get back up, a very inspiring time.
Idk about the parking I parked on the road but such an amazing place for skateboarding.
Sick park , flat rails , dope obstacles , good half pipe with low and high level.
It's a dive Next property under development the old fountain is off indefinitely.
It's a great skate park for roller skating. A little grimey, but lots of fun.
Meh, lots of little stuff. I can see why people love it but it's not my thing
Great new skateboard park along with splash park, and park for dog walking.
Hamilton's best kept secret. Amazing urban lifestyle. #bikenerd#waycool
It's an all ages skatepark. Skateboards, roller skates, inline skates.
People doing sports, families having fun! And of course Pokemon stops!
Under Construction couldn't walk through park as normal its gated off.
It's ok for the kids but be on watch for broken glass or used needles
They have skateboarding for everyone. Just make sure to wear a helmet
I LOVE THIS PLACE ... IT IS EXCELLENT FOR THE YOUNGER GENERATION ?
So cute! Clean and beautiful my girl has a nice time there …
I don't like the way the park is now it was better the other way
So far the only park in the neighborhood. Love the openness.
Cute little park with a newly renovated skate park attached
There a new artist going over the state park looks awesome
Good time to spend at evening and playing games overthere

A good place to go and chill for kids and adults
Watched a lot of kids do some incredible tricks
Super sick skate spot with lots of transition!
The park was clean and the residents colourful
Crowded I found no place to sit on benches
Cold night but event was a disappointment.
