"Most horrible experience of my life"
"My 1st trip here took 90 minutes"

Very nice designs at reasonable prices. Order, inventory system is horrible. We bought an entire kitchen including appliances. After we placed our order, the salesperson handed us a copy of our order and another piece of paper called Shopping List. The shopping list is all the things we ordered that they don't have in stock and have no idea when it will be in stock. It's up to us to call regularly and see if any of it is available. If any of it comes in, we have to pay the freight - $129. We can drive the 2 hours to pick up at the store but they will only hold things for 48 hours. Then, it goes back into inventory to be sold. Last time we drove there to pick up two parts worth about $50, I asked if there is any way they can hold things longer than 2 days. I got a lecture on it's what I get for remodeling during a pandemic. The pandemic started 18 months ago. You would think a big company like IKEA could get a handle on the situation in 18 months! This is a serious management and systems problem. A normal company creates a back order for items they don't have in stock and sends it to the customer when it comes in. A normal company gives you availability for items you order so you know what to expect Stay away from this place.
I was very pleased with the household selections. Not so much with the security guard. We went in about 6:30pm on 2/1...left to compare the table with prices elsewhere. As we were leaving a 40ish white male with a scroll expression crossed over in front of us..just as we headed to the door.I thought how rude . We returned to purchase it an hour or so later..it was gone. We spent over 130.00 in the store and this rude man did the same exact thing..it wasn't until we drove off I realized that we were targeted as individuals he felt he had to escort or observe or whatever. It wasn't a pleasant feeling. We don't steal, we are givers and very productive US citizens. While he was watching us..he missed I'm sure a thief that HE Thought Looked trustworthy. I won't be eager to revisit this store..we aren't from this town either. He made Bad impression for the atmosphere of this store. By the way, we were pleasantly dressed and groomed. So what was the issue?
Most horrible experience of my life. Ordered bedroom suite online. Told to pick it up at a certain time. Wasn't ready. Cliche in the system they said. Drove 96 miles. Said they could have it ready in 5 hours. Not happening. Had to cancel order, wait on refund to my account. Then had to try and find warehouse part to get what I ordered. Ask a young man for help. ( husband and I in our 70's) turned to show the young man what I was needing help getting. He disappeared. Ask a young lady to get us some help. That didn't happen either. Needless to say we will NEVER GO TO IKEA AGAIN!!! NEVER TREATED SO RUDELY IN MY LIFE. BY THE WAY HAD TO LIFT THESE 80# BOXES BY OURSELVES. NEED TO TAKE LESSONS FROM EMPLOYEES AT CHIK FILET. ITS THEIR "PLEASURE" TO HELP THEIR CUSTOMERS. I HAVE OVER A MILLION VIEWS ON MY GOOGLE POSTS. HOPE ALOT OF PEOPLE READ THIS AND THINK TWICE BEFORE SHOPPING AT "IKEA" !!!!!!!
My 1st trip here took 90 minutes. I went to pick up some shelving units that I had ordered and paid for online so I use the click and collect option. I pulled up into the pickup area and Read the sign to register and let them know that I was there. I got immediate response that said they would be out shortly with my purchase. And they were. They were out in less than 10 minutes. There was a very nice young man that was very accommodating and helped me load all the pieces into my car. I had ask to speak to a supervisor regarding some hardware that I thought I might be missing and he came out very promptly and explained that I had everything that might order contained. I am not really an ikea shopper or a should say I never have been. I did not have time this trip to go into the massive store but do plan on heading up there again one day soon in spending the day.
I was going to Ikea, which I hadn't visited in quite some time. I enjoyed my walk thru, picking up a number of small items, checking measurements & prices of larger items for a future shipping trip & collecting more ideas as usual. I also stopped by the Restaurant for dessert, an almond layered cake-like deliciousness. But it was the Shopping Center that was a very pleasant surprise. The variety of stores & places to eat lit up the area adding excitement to my evening shopping trip. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to explore. But, it looks like a great place to visit the next time I need some serious retail therapy.
This is a great shopping area however the traffic is insane on weekends. IKEA is of course the flagship store. I’ve never been inside due to the size and my bad knee however the online ordering and pickup is great. The Zaxbys is stupid busy all the time. Culver’s is a great comfort food stop. The other end is big box stores and a Charter Cable store which is so easy to get to as opposed to uptown. Huge furniture store and the busiest super Walmart is right there too. I do not recommend this Walmart due to how busy it is. Drive a little bit farther and hit the neighborhood market on north Tryon.
So, this place is not up to par with customer service. The only reason I gave them 3 stars was because they finally figured out a solution to a problem I've been having with this company for over 2 months. I bought a sofa sleeper with a lounger and I only have 3 pieces of the couch. It's taken us 3 visits and it's 57 miles one way. They will deliver our 4th piece free of charge as soon as it becomes available. Also, I tried applying for credit and still haven't heard anything back. They took all my personal financial information and still haven't heard a single thing. ♀️
Always great experience at Ikea and love the restaurant they have inside even a daycare for the kids while u shop so you can focus without the kids love it with so many things here for the house it's like a grown up fun place to go definitely an experience I recommend very affordable prices and even have great sales u definitely will be in here 2hrs or more that's how much stuff they have everything you need and want for a home from blankets, bedroom sets to kitchen to storage anything u imagine it's here must come and visit type of place you will definitely enjoy.
Visited IKEA. Was finally able to buy their Essentiell Black Stainless Dishwasher. Appliances have been hard to get this year as well last year due to production shortage. I got the last one in stock. So thankful, staff was very good to assure me the unit was in store and was ready for pickup when ready to leave. Very quick transaction. Easy install, just had to get a few items for the installation including water supply line from Lowe's. Runs really quiet, so far so good. Update : 9/18/21 still running quiet and really does a good job cleaning.
We love this store so much that we make a point to travel over an hour and half o e way to visit at least 3-4 times per year. This extremely large store is filled with all things home decor. Set up on a track that winds through all the small specialty departments that focus on each room of the home. The prices are awesome and the displays give you dozens of ideas for how to decorate using existing items around your home. Well worth the trip. Don't forget to stop by the cafeteria for one of their delicious meals while you're there!
If you haven't been, it's worth a trip. Great organization/storage ideas for small spaces at great prices but be prepared to argue with your significant other, be in line for an hour, definitely buy the cinnamon rolls, and they have their own brand of soda. Stroller is a must for small babies- a ton of walking if you are going upstairs (to look) and downstairs- buying items. Does provide childcare but I haven't been used those services. For the love of God, don't go on Saturday.
Oh my the lines. However, they did move fast. I chatted with a gentleman that drove from fayetteville. Once the line was close to the door his family got on line. He and his wife had 4 kids which were very well manned and polite. Made friends that day with folks that don't look like me. Ikea needs a hand out directory to ease the experience unless this is a sales marketing ploy. We are I a pandemic and I was in the store for over 2.5 hours and I only came for 2 things..SHEESH
Everything was great, except the food. We decided to have lunch while we were there. The only thing that was good were the desserts. I had heard good things and couldn't wait to try the food, especially the meatballs. Everything was disappointing. They were having issues and couldn't offer some things on the menu. We're hoping it was an isolated incident due to technical difficulties. We plan to give it another try, but I'm not as optimistic as before.
Big overwhelming store. I was just looking around to see what I can possibly put in my new apartment. A lot of the furniture seems very cheap and very pricey. I did pick up a couple of small items. Overall I feel like most of their items are cheaply made. The workers were kind of just standing around and not really eager to ask if you need help: this can be good and bad, but it was a plus for me as I hate being pressured to make a purchase.
Can spend hours shopping for home furnishings and accessories or just get great ideas for redecorating. Furniture is affordable and of good quality. Easy to get it home as it comes in pieces to be built. Have bought many pieces of put-it-together yourself furniture and still have everything and they are sturdy and have been broken down and moved and reassembled a few times and have weathered well. The instructions are easy to follow.
IKEA is huge. Unless you've targeted a product for pickup, plan to be there for a long time, if you want to see everything. Their displays make it easy to visualize their furniture and accessories in your home. Great for college students and downsize moves. Cheery ideas for kids rooms. Bought 2 rocking chairs, excellent lumbar support and construction. Most furniture, however is built to last short term, not long.
Very disappointed with the downward spiral of this location. It appears the pandemic hit this store bad. Dirty, under stocked, and the restaurant was more than disappointing. IKEA management needs to take a look at this store and make some major changes to get me back. The Atlanta store is just about the same distance although I hate fighting Atlanta traffic, I would go to that store over this one.
O wow what do I think about ikea? It’s a great and fun place to spend a few hours shopping for furniture. They have a cafeteria and the food is fair. It’s a little difficult for gluten free options but nevertheless it’s handy for eating & having a snack. I buy things from IKEA fairly often. Definitely check them out even if you don’t buy, go check out their ideas on decorating and have a snack.
IKEA: Cheaply made imported garbage you have to put together yourself and which breaks easily. No real style or form to the furniture. They try to do a mid-century ripoff, but it doesn't work because of the cheap materials. I'd only buy here if I were a poverty-stricken college kid. Go to antique stores if you want real wood thats well-made and well-priced furniture that lasts longer than you.
Went to IKEA. There was an intimidating line to get in, but the line moved fast and I appreciated the lines on the sidewalk that marked 6 feet. Everyone was wearing masks, and everything was clean. Only downside was the restaurant was closed but under covid-19 that is understandable. There was plenty of hand sanitizer stations inside and outside. Felt safe in the store. Would come back.
Not my favorite place to visit was disappointed it has nice enough things it's huge and everything is neatly layed out. The styles are more modern style not what I would choose to have in my home personally. The food wasn't great the chicken tenders were like mostly breader and the salmon was very fishy and tough. Not much else to it. Plenty to look at nothing for us personally to buy a
Cool place to buy things you need around the house. I did have trouble finding someone to help me load a couple shelves into my buggy. Then I find someone and the guy actually said "YOU can't pick this up"... Well no! I wouldn't be asking if I could! Good customer service a thing of the past anywhere you go it seems. I'll go back, just bring my hubby so I won't need to ask for help!
I have used the click and collect option multiple times. It is a seamless process. I do wish you could choose a smaller window of time or choose a date more in advanced. I live an hour away so I pretty much have to be ready to go at any point within the 4 hour window that can be selected. Everytime I have gone has been efficient upon arrival and everyone has been friendly.
You can never buy anything online, because when you start paying for your cart, more than half are unavailable and there is nothing to buy. Delivery is offered no earlier than a month. Have to go to the store. In the store I spend a huge amount of time to buy something almost at the exit, because it is impossible to go through the labyrinths faster
This was my first time visiting Ikea I had a wonderful time with my family there. Wonderful place wonderful people they greet you as soon as you come in the door they make you feel at home. Who was delicious customer service outstanding in food court a great place to take the family I had a great shopping experience and I will return great deals on just about everything.
Had a great first experience at one this past weekend! It was pretty interesting and gives you lots of ideas on how to decorate! Lots of options to choose from for every room in the house. Would recommend going at least once to check it out and see what you walk out buying! At least stop in and grab a dessert or something to eat! Very cool place and will be going back!
Awesome food but want to give a shout out to their staff. My crew ate here for lunch and one server had a moment of weakness and "EVERY" other Culver employee diffused the situation professionally and went beyond the call of duty to ensure we all had a pleasant experience! 5 thumbs up to those guys! Thanks Steven and whatever the mangers name is! You guys are awesome!
Super busy, so it may trip the anxiety trigger in some. The layout and one-way shopping direction of the place is kind of weird and not well directed for a first timer, but the food court food was delicious, and they have plenty of useful items for reasonable prices. Extra happy that I could get things like their gravy mix and lingonberry jam in the market.
Awesome but be prepared to walk, and Walk and walk and Walk some more. We probably only saw half of what was there. Two hours and we were ready to go. The building is designed to keep you walking through each department. If you have something in mind then just go to the marketplace located on the first floor and ask someone to help you locate it
This place is always worth to visit though we were surprised to see the long waiting line to enter the store. It take us around half hour wait to enter the store and due to coronavirus some of the part like children play area were closed. But they kept hand sanitizer in the entry area. The store is big and it is well organized.
This place has been around for so long. It has Walgreens, Tuesday morning, a dollar store which I should call $1.25 store. A barber shop, Subway store and some kind of party store / gym / whatever??? There's some stores on the side. But they're missing something. Something big to attract more people.
I like Ikea for some things, but they are going overboard with all of the "sustainable" product lines that used to be wood based. If you want to compete you have to have the products available in store for pick-up, or online. Availability for kitchen cabinetry has been horrible for over a year now.
The store is incredible! And massive! The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me is because once you go upstairs to the Cafe there's no easy exit. The only way out is down the elevator, or stairs & you have to walk all the way around through all the different departments to get to an exit
IKEA is a great store for all your home needs including food items. Well stocked; employees are helpful; navigating the store is easy (as long as you follow the arrows or the map ); checking out is smooth. The experience, in general, was excellent! I will be going back often . …
I like shopping at Ikea you can find some pretty cool gadgets here. For home needs and decor, go to ikea. I'm sure you will find something you can use. Make time in your schedule because this place is huge and you will need good walking shoes to cover the entire store.
Long line out front, but it flowed quickly. Shopping experience was okay. Loading area is not equipped for busy days. Way too many cars circling for a spot, plus those that decided to pull up in passing lane and just load vs waiting for a spot to become available.
I didn't actually go inside of IKEA on this visit, instead I walked for exercise all around the area including down into the strip center passed the very nice apartments and back to my car in the side with Good Feet. It was a beautiful day and I clocked 2 miles.
I would have given 5 star. This location doesn’t have enough known attendants. Everyone seems to look like everyone. Needed: more attendants who are dressed like attendants. A lady helped me who was on her lunch break smh twice possibly thrice. I got lost …
Five stars because I love IKEA. Kind of a monopoly location since it's practically the only location in the state of NC. Facility is always clean/organized, food court is clean/great, employees are always a terrific help when needed. It's a whole experience.
IKEA Everything was perfect until checkout. Cashier was as friendly as a telephone pole, rough with purchases and overcharged my friend $150.00. Thank goodness we stopped for coffee 20 miles away. She checked her receipt and we turned around and went back.
Amazing experience. Like a maze with miniature houses. Except you can buy just about everything setup in the house but not the walls of the house it's self. Also has a food area up stairs and after checkout. Awesome place. Love swedish meatballs.
Ikea is always a fun place to visit and a great place to shop. I love that i can see everything in practical use before purchasing it. I knew i wanted an IKEA kitchen when we renovated our house. It still isn't done but so far looks great!
Omggggggg...I love this place but I have got to get used to the store's layout! I felt like a mouse in a labyrinth! Awesome pieces..aesthetically pleasing to the eye but it definitely was not a run-in run out like I thought it would be.
Excellent shopping mall in North Carolina, America, where you can get the latest house hold articles like sofas , single and double beds, kitchen utensils as well as kid's toys with genuine prices. They have huge stocks of all items.
I'm never dissatisfied with the many many options. I guess my last shop being during the holidays, the availability of items are thin, staff service "meh" and NONE of the many hand sanitizer stations I checked on both floors worked.
I have to triple check, but I do believe COVID has affected the HOURS at this location!! My new favorite place to visit when I make a trip to Charlotte! I love everything about this store. That includes the store layout.
We love Ikea. Just wish it were a 2-hour drive to get there. COVID must be affecting their manufacturing or supply line because they were out of several items we were looking for. So our road trip wasn’t 100% successful.
Ikea! We love Ikea:) The store was clean, the staff was really helpful. Inventory was low, but I suspect it's all Covid related. Still found most items we needed, just had to substitute a few. Restaurant was great:)
Love ikea! They have so much stuff for your house. I love they have rooms set up to give you ideas. They have a part where you can eat and we've always enjoyed their Swedish meatballs. All reasonably priced!
So much to see and take in! There is something for everyone here. Most employees were helpful, when you saw them. Bathrooms were clean and they are very responsive to Covid and sanitizing. I shall return.
The quality of Ikea product is not so great but they do look good. I usually come here to get idea on DIY and also get inspiration of modern decoration and layout. Also I just like having lunch here
Same exact as all ikeas set up. My only issue the fountain soda machine seems not to work. Imo this issue haopens not only here but a lot of ikeas I have been. Ikea is a must everywhere. Recommend!
IKEA have everything. You'll get lost in different areas. Know it's a maze when looking at model rooms of majority of everything they sale. Great place for anything you need for Home, office etc.
Solid quality, stylish furniture and home goods for every room in your house at the best prices. The entire top floor is full of home decor inspiration. I love walking through just to get ideas.
Not bad! I think somebody took a refrigerator outside and accidentally left the door open or something though because it's kind of cold. But once we got inside the stores it was all right!
Vision works The employees are very friendly and very helpful this store is nice and clean. products are great. You don't have a long wait time to be serviced I would recommend this Store
My absolute favorite walking around place, they have such stylish household products, the prices are so reasonable & the Swedish meatballs are super yummy, definitely worth the trip.
Good selection of stores in the area with Ikea appearing to be the anchor store. Had a bite to eat at the Mexican restaurant. There is something for everyone in this shopping center.
Always like this store. Good selection, especially in kitchen gadgets. The wooden childrens toys are great. The down side is not enough checkouts. Rely too much on self checkouts.
Many new businesses have grown up around IKEA over the years and have made my trips to IKEA even better, Culver's is in my opinion one of the best fast food burger places around.
IKEA nice if you are very handy. Lots of stuff to put together. The wood and metal is excellent quality also Last a long time. The finished product alway have a very modern look
We always enjoy coming here. Giving us ideas on how to remodel our home. From decors to furniture, you being be disappointed. Plus their cafeteria has amazing food.
Nice selection of stores in this shopping center. I've personally only been to Old Navy, Visionworks and Hobby Lobby, but I'll definitely visit as often as needed.
It was a Monday, and not busy. Most of the team was nice. One employee was snippy when my husband was looking around. Mostly a pleasant experience.
parking spots are too congested other drivers when open the doors they hit the other car doors and security need to take action in regards.
I didn't stop to shop. One of the restaurants in this shopping center, is Out Back Restaurant. We go food to go. The food was delicious.
This is one of the nicest shopping centers I've seen in a very long time. The stores are plenty while the parking lot is uber clean.
Cool to walk around. However, they don’t have as many unique items as they used to. Some cool Stuff, some clearance deals.
We went to IKEA and Tropical Grill for dinner. Plenty of parking, so well stocked for Christmas. We had a great time.
Outback in the University area is simply STELLAR I rate them 5 Star's Manager Shawn and Bartender Nick are Awesome
I absolutely luv this mall. I found so many deals. I plan to come back next week to do some Christmas shopping
Went to Ikia today for a bedspread and found new down pillows, on sale, yay. And found my bedspread.
Good location for this dropping center. Several other stores and restaurants. Ample parking
Love that shopping center! Found some good things in TJ Maxx for some excellent prices.
Well I use to work there and it's a okay place to visit and get a good meal . …
All the stores you need for household finds. Some clothing stores and food places.
Nice clean store Not such a great variety of products as Walmart but well stocked
Prepare to walk your butt off. And find good parking but all in all okay to shop
Great place to shop easy to get around. Down side is long checkout lines.
Nice place to shop from and Ikea have everything you need for furniture
Get a lil shopping done. Or get ya Nails done . …
It's so safe here that my guard dog catches up on rest.
So many stores and a lot of great things for your money
Nice area, like the stores that are together there.
Great shopping area! Plenty of food and shopping.
I love Ikea! Nice and clean. Staff is friendly.
Good place to spend a day lwindow shopping
Pricey and the store is a confusing maze.
Busy area but lots of shopping available
Never been inside. No experience there
First time at an IKEA and I loved it.
Great experience and friendly staff.
Didn't find what I went there for!!
Good price for two children bed
Good the home of compare food.
Easy drive. Not crowded.
