Total Disapointment. Here is my story with Bibbo, when I went to him for the 2nd time on 02.25.16 after being there 3 months ago to color my roots. This time I wanted to change my hair color from blond to brown with lighter reflections and I wanted a bob style haircut with longer front & bit shorter back. The result was way far form my expectations from the best hairdresser in town according to him. Let's start with the color which was uneven, and I could see this, when my hair was still wet. Bibbo then decided to put chunks of highlights all over the brown hair, that actually turned to yellowish. During that time I didn't understand, why he decided to color my blond hair with brown color all over to highlight them again after. I didn't comment on it, believing he knows his job. Then the highlights he did were too thick, and gave unnatural result. The hair cut was the most dramatic part for me. All I can say that he butchered my hair. My hair was sticking out here and there so visible to the point u can see in the picture even from distance. I left his salon without any comment (my mistake), but I was under the shock, and when I came home and looked into the mirror I bursted with tears. I couldn't believe that I spent about $200 for THE RESULT LIKE THIS!!! I texted him few hours after the treatment with pictures saying, that I am not satisfied with the haircut and wanted at least the refund for it. He called me back with pretensions, why I dare to contact him on his phone. He was yelling at me, and he didn't even let me speak a word, saying he has advocates/attorneys, if I want to complain on Yelp, he will get them on me. He was repeating, that he is well known hairdresser and how I dare to accuse him, he did a bad job with my hair. This was totally uncalled for and so unprofessional while I was crying my eyes out. My husband had to intervene,when he heard him yelling at me through the phone and treating me like no one, when I paid him for his services. I am new in San Francisco and went to his salon because of someones recommendation. It's very hard to trust a new hairdresser and to find a good one. I was so lucky to find an amazing stylist, that took care of my hair next day. She has cut my hair evenly finally, cutting as little as possible, because Bibbo already cut my hair too short. She also tried to remove the yellowish reflections from the highlights. She didn't even want to charge me for the treatment. I have to admit sometimes stylist's with less reputability pays more attention to details and customer satisfaction than those who claim to be famous.

Worst Haircut of my life by Bibbo. He is fun but ruined my hair with the hot razor, he has no idea what he is doing with it. It literally took 2 yrs to get past this awful haircut. My hair shaft was so compromised the heat of an iron fried my hair to the scalp and even after i went short to minimize my trauma because of all the chunks cut out it was a slow process that put me in a wig for a four months. I felt horrible about my hair. I was visiting from Florida and had to return to the salon before going home to try to get something done with it. He was offended and tried to say i did not know how to style my hair( I was a salon owner at the time and 30plus year stylist) then had a co worker try to help. She did what she could. I asked her to blink if she thought my hair was f-ed up and she blinked 10 times. Do not let Bibbo use his razor better yet, find a new stylist.

So einen unprofesionellen Friseur habe ich noch nicht erlebt. Ist total von sich überzeugt, aber kann fachlich nichts. Zwang mich zum Schluss noch zu sagen, dass ich exzellent aussehe. Ob Schnitt oder Föhnen, es wurde nur schnell und oberflächlich gearbeitet. Ich denk, die hier gut bewerten lassen sich, von dem gerede und künstlich gute Laune verbreiten, beeinflussen. Denn fachlich ist das eine 1 von 10 Punkten. Und das sage ich nicht als Leihe. Keine Ahnung wie man hier in Amerika einen Friseurabschluss bekommt? Sogar das waschen war unmöglich, mit lauwarmer bis kaltem Wasser schnell und nicht mal entspannend mit Kopfmassage. Sauer bin ich vorallem dazu noch über den Preis von 230 Dollar für diese Leistung. Ich war nicht mal 1,5 h im Salon für blonde Strähnchen und Schneiden mit Föhnen. Hier würde ich niemanden empfehlen sich die Haare machen zu lassen. Franke

Bibbo is an artist in every sense of that word. He understands hair, colors, faces, head shapes, personalities--all of it. He does not "cut hair." He helps a person find his or her look--which makes that person feel confident, vibrant and beautiful (however that is defined). I have been trusting my "look" to Bibbo for decades, and even steered my husband and kids his way. We are four entirely different people (separated by more than three decades in age), but he managed to figure out exactly what would be right for each of us. And, to top it off, when I decided (wrongly) that I wanted longer hair, he figured out how to make that work! So, even though he is the artist, he listens to his clients.

I went to this hair salon for the first time while visiting SF for work . Just amazing ! I travel a lot for work around the world and tried hair salons in so many places , but I have to say , I think this is the best I’ve been so far , the owner Bibbo is just fantastic , as well as being warm , friendly and funny and making you feel valued , he has so much experience and skills. I had an hair cut and 2 colors highlights, I was impressed with the way he did it , and it was perfect . One of the best highlights I had . He did exactly what I asked for . I live in France , but I will come all the way to SF to do my hair now . Thanks Bibbo and katia , I love my highlights.

I've been going to Bibbo's salon for 25+ years. The is the third incarnation of his shop. He has made each an amazing success and clients have followed him faithfully. You cannot find a more skilled technician of his occupation. But beyond that, he is genuinely the most gracious, buoyant, person I know. When I enter his business I feel special and welcome. And when I leave, I feel transformed and more positive about my appearance and that experience. My daughter has been going to Bibbos with me since she was 2 months old . She is now 20, in school in Boston, and doesn't let anyone touch her hair except him.

Bibbo is a masterful hair artist and his salon is nothing short of magical in creating color, highlights and cuts ideal for each client. I have been seeing Bibbo and Katia for several years and during that time they have transformed my look into something I am very proud about and the compliments about my hair keep coming. When I got my hair done by the owner of this Salon (Bibbo) I was going through a lot in my personal life I went in because I desperately needed my hair done and not knowing the actual salon owner (Bibbo) was going to do my hair [Literally all the way up until the end I didn't know it was Bibbo's Salon I just saw Salon and walked in ] This man was loud obnoxious and kept throwing back handed compliments criticizing me and how in a nutshell thought how low class I was comparing me with a penguin in the end If I can give him lower stars for how disappointed and rude this man was I would .

What a wonderful warm welcome I received when I arrived at the Salon. Bibbo and Katia were very wam and inviting. I asked them to help me make a change to my boring look. All I Can Say is i went in an Ugly Duck but came out a beautiful Swan. I am so happy I took the step for a change. The highlights, colorong and cut were llfe changong for me. I love my new lookk!!!! Love love love this place!!! Was struggling to find a good hair salon in SF for my hair coloring and I'm so glad I found this amazing place. This place felt so warm and welcoming. Bibbo and his female associate worked out a tremendous deal for me and gave me an amazing transformation. In love with my new hair color. Definitely took some years off my face!! I have been seeing Bibbo for over 20 years and can't imagine going anywhere else. Not a week goes by when I don't have a compliment on color or cut, always fashionable, flattering, appropriate. My ideas never seem to be as good as his although he always gives me what I ask for. Being a mature woman now, I refuse to have an old lady hsircut

Did manicure with the lady downstairs. Honestly, probably top three manicure in my life. As a Russian, we are very fussy about this stuff and normally complaint that no one does it like home. The mani here was quick, clean, great shape, great result (I waited a few days to write this). Very nice ambience and service. Highly recommended.

It’s so great to find a salon that speaks my language as far as my hair is concerned! I recently had a perm for my long hair to give it some extra wave and curl. My favorite and only Hair Salon I'd go to is Bibbo's. I’ve been seeing Bibbo for my color and cut for the last 22 years. No matter where I've moved, I still travel to see him. A wonderful experience! Went for a challenging color correction on my teenage daughter's hair. It turned out much better than expected and was actually fun! They were professional, but also very warm and friendly. I will be returning for my own hair care as soon as possible!
