This location is packed m-f 4:00pm to 8:00pm after that the gym start to thin out. The weight room is over packed during those hours get extra dangerous as air flow and oxygen depleted due to the over crowding. This location has always been popular due to various business and the college near by. On the plus side the gym finally purchased 4 Olympic bar but 5 would be a better idea. Few machine cable have worn down due to use. You will start seeing scrapes or cuts are your arm from the wire fraying. There are a few machine that are OOO out of order or what they call on the blink LOL . Affordable gym if you are on a budget. Great trainers take advantage of your first free training and learn and remember what they show you. If you are not sure ask someone how to use the machine I am sure many member don’t have a problem showing you how any of the machines function including the staff. You can also find a little illustration on the machine show you how the machine should work and what muscles it targets. You can also find workout card in the lobby that are free. Workout smart. Update 07-13-2023 Gym has gotten even busier recently 4pm-8pm. Had to wait 30 minutes for machines or weight now. Also the new placements of the trash cans wipes and mats are in horrible placements. Had to go searching for them with recent changes. Cable machine had a recent adjustment which now have springs to reduce dropping noise weights being damaged. A lot of machine need some tlc you can feel resistant on them when you push or pull. Trying to score a bar now to bench squat dead lift or hip thrust is now much longer. Also lack of matching single handle attachments and cable clips have gone missing again. Update 08-24-2023 This location is undergoing new management and staff. Location is not doing that great with over crowding lack of cleaning supplies. This seem to be the normal routine when manager and staff get caned. Anyone looking at this location be prepared to not get access to any equipment 4pm to 8pm Mon thru Thur . Also random equipment breaking down and new management staffing not knowing what to do to services these machines. This location seems to be blink revolving door of new staffer. Hopefully they get the act together. Also please be advise that there are people coming in from outside going thru lockers. Seems like they are looking for customer belonging to steal. I mentioned this to someone that look like acting manager but was brushed off. Be prepared to have your personal items stolen if it not locked or lockers broken into activity on 08-23-2023. Update 09-11-2023 More locker break in at blink this time woman locker room. When will this stop? Make sure you buy a good lock and secure you belongings. Informed management of this nothing has been done. Update 09-20-2023 I come back from being sick to find out both of the trainer I used got fired. What is going on with blink and the new management. What next you can’t bring a guest to this location. At this rate they might as well shutdown this location. I spoke with one of the old staffer that now manager EJ. He trying to help get this location back to it once great luster. Soon there will be no one left running this location. Or even worst management will start ejecting paying customer and there guest. Be aware before signing up for this location. Still over packed and long wait for bar bell. I new trend weight in the weight room starting with 10Lbs all the way to 50Lbs would be missing for hours. No cleaning supply and no staff around to help assist accept for the front desk. Maybe it time to move to a new location or head to another gym crunch and planet fitness not so far away. Let’s see if this location shapes up soon.
The gym's price point is attractive, but one must understand that with any low-price gym will also come a high volume of customers. From 5:30pm-8pm the place is packed. A solid deal. It's not a luxury gym, simple as that. I had a particularly unprofessional experience when I tried cancelling my membership over the phone just to be told that you "must cancel in person." I thought it was bizarre, but I did not question it. Days passed before I was able to come in person. When I eventually arrived in person as directed, I had learned that not only is it indeed possible to cancel virtually, but because of this delay I had passed the 15th day of the month which mandated an annual membership fee. I tried reaching out to member services, who ignored any content in my emails and met me with automated messages until finally informing me that there was no way for her to believe me. Totally understood! In a situation like this, written evidence is vital. However, the influence of hearing from a front desk representative directly that there is no virtual (phone or web) method to cancel cannot be overstated. The people at the front desk are really kind, but clearly someone made a mistake. The member services on the other hand show no attempt to meet customers halfway. 1/5 for incompetence and sleazy business practices.
I highly do not recommend this gym!! Like many other Google reviewers, I cannot say enough bad things about this Blink location. If I could I would rate this location & their workers 0/5 stars! I cancelled my membership over 2 months ago and continue to be charged. The manager at this location (Jerry) is extremely unhelpful & unprofessional. Worst customer service & all of the trainers I encountered while I was a member were unhelpful and downright creepy. The one free personal training class that I signed up for, the trainer used my blink account to get my phone # and proceeded to continuously non-stop text me asking me to go on a date with him. I had to avoid the gym for weeks... I highly recommend choosing another gym or at the very least choosing another Blink location. The customer support is useless and you will end up paying way more when you cancel than you would at a nicer gym. This is your sign to choose a different place where you will be valued!!! I promise, you will regret choosing this location when you cancel your membership. Months later you will realize that Blink will continue to charge you despite you already cancelling and then they will refuse to help provide a refund. CHOOSE WISELY!!!

Decided to try this gym since it was close to my job, but after just one day I’m really disappointed. This gym sucks in all honesty. There’s only one bench rack and just two squat racks. Meanwhile there are two floors full of rows of treadmills and ellipticals…far too many when you have just THREE racks in the entire gym. Simply makes no sense. In addition to this, the employees are extremely unhelpful. I requested assistance with my account, but was told by the staff that they were unable to help and that I would have to reach out to Member services via email. They then gave me an email for Member Services that turned out to be fake and didn’t exist. Instead, I had to go to a completely different location to get help. At that different location, I explained the situation with my account and the staff there was able to help me and resolve the issue within a matter of 2 minutes (shout out to the 125th street Blink location in Harlem, they’re great!). All in all, avoid this Blink location at all costs. It’s a bad location that lacks equipment, has unhelpful staff, and causes nothing but headaches.
The service under the new management is horrible! I’ve been coming to this location since March 2022, never had any issues. I almost never needed service from the staffs anyways. Only once in a blue moon (approximately 3 times in a year) when I forgot to bring my personal bath towel, the previous lady manager would just lend a clean towel for me to use with no fuss. Today happened to be one of the blue moon, the staff was very rude and said the current manager wouldn’t allow it and that the towels are only for customers who has towel services. How inconvenient that is! Would it even make sense to sign up for the towel service for $13 a month if the customers only forgot to bring their own towel like a few times in a year?? I think the policies should be made a bit more flexible than that.
I have a blue membership. This membership is supposed to cover all 5 boroughs. I've been to the Nassau location twice and yesterday I was told I was unable to work out there because my membership does not cover " Premiere" locations between 54th street in Manhattan to the Finical District. The equipment is not even updated in this location and this is truly a let down because I work right in the area. Closing off the gyms in this specific area says a lot about the people they are trying to keep out. There are no additional amenities to justify keeping Blue Members out of these facilities. I signed up for this membership because I was told I'd have access in all 5 boroughs at the location I signed up at just to find out this isn't true. My membership has now been cancelled .
They have poor management service they push all the responsibilities to members and never explain the most important things clearly when you sign up and say it is all on your agreement. Even they don’t explain friendly when member have problem especially money things. There is reason why it is cheap. At the end , you will be charged more than other gyms. The most horrible gym I’ve ever been to. When you complain one, they will treat you as a black consumer and think they do all right. HORRIBLE SERVICE.
Great spot in FiDi. Conveniently located near many subway station. While this facility is located on the second and third floors it has ground floor entrance and is handicapped accessible. The equipment is up to date and their are various machines for working many if the same or different muscle groups. There's the convenience of purchasing drinks and healthy snacks should you want. The locker room is good enough. The staff were friendly and greeting. I'd recommend checking this spot out.
An excellent place to workout. I just love the place. I don't get the gripe about some people complaining about the fees. This is the cheapest gym in the vicinity. Whatever fees they are charging are common across all the gym chains in the US. I would have liked some extra benches and squat racks. They have used space for treadmills which few people use but not focused on the weights. That's something they could improve. The gym is perfect. Go for it if you live in the area.
Please read: this gym may have a lower price - but don’t join this gym. I ignored the negative reviews when I made the decision to join. And I have paid the price big time. This gym is absolutely terrible. I’m so upset and frustrated because ultimately - you gotta pay and there’s nothing you can do about it. The manager refuses to even talk to me - I practically begged for a call back. But nothing. There’s so many gyms in this area. Do NOT join this one. You WILL regret it.
Clean gym and the staff is super nice. If you have been to Equinox or Church, this will be a big departure and will take a little getting used to. The equipment is older (not crazy old) and a good amount of machines are always “under maintenance”. Not enough to ruin your day but it takes about a month to fix one treadmill which is slightly hard to understand. If you are looking for a $30 gym, great option. If you are looking for a cheaper equinox, stick with equinox.
This gym is conveniently close to my apartment. Clean, and the staff are all really nice! However, I do not get a good workout in most days because of how packed this gym gets. Even in the mornings at 6am I usually can’t lift any weights because of other members. I wish there were more squat racks. Also, I wish this location stayed open later during the week and especially on the weekends. 5pm closing is a little early for the weekends.
One bench press only and more than 40 treadmills that are never used at full capacity. Also, should be FORBIDDEN that people take barbell from bench press and take it somewhere else to do squats, which makes bench press not usable. So imagine, only 1 bench press and people take barbell with them somewhere else. How then we gonna use bench press if there is no barbell What is wrong with you people ?
Can't really do better considering the price. Staff is friendly and helpful and they keep the place clean. The only thing I don't like is the crowds around the weight machines at peak hours. The cardio machines are never more than half full, you'd think they could get rid of some of them and add more weight machines. Everyone is cool about working in though, so it's not such a big deal.
This is a great gym for the price. However, the allocation of equipment is really poor. There are rows and rows of treadmills that are hardly used, yet there is only one barbell bench. That is not even close to enough for a gym of its size, and it means you almost always have to wait to use it. If they were to add a barbell bench and maybe another squat rack, I would give it 5 stars.
This is one of those gyms where a bunch of people with nothing better to do come to hang out and take hours to get off of machines they're barely using in the first place. Expect long waits on any bench at any given time, expect barbells to be all over the gym, expect a group of friends to text and chat on the benches, don't expect to get any work done in a timely manner though
Same old equipments for many year. They close at 10pm and shut off some of the lights by 9:30. When you leave go down the by the stairs you could even see the steps. And now, they will tell you to leave by 9:50 pm because the new manager said so, they don’t want anybody stay after 10 pm that is why they ask you to leave the floor so you can go to bathroom or changing clothes.
I signed up a month ago and no issues so far. I'm not trying to get stacked here! Just in shape and it's important to know your own expectations when joining a gym. Staff seems friendly and that's a positive. Watch out for your stuff, mind your business in the locker room unless an emergency, get a good combination lock, and be safe working toward your goals.
I have been in some other Blink gyms, and i like the location of this one, but there's not enough squat racks. In the other Blinks, not in better neighborhood, they have a lot more equipment. I don't like this one particularly because you have to wait a lot to make squats, etc. Too much cardio equipment, very limited in weights.
It’s pretty small but has mostly everything you’d need, I’d give it more stars if it didn’t have only ONE bench press, only one of the most popular pieces of weightlifting equipment is crazy, especially when they have space or one or two more right next to the bench press that’s already there
If I could give this gym negative stars I would. I’ve been a member at this gym since they first opened. I even worked at this location. The new manager and assistant manager are rude and have horrible customer service. I will be going to a better gym where members are respected and valued.
Granted I went there at 6:30 for the after work rush. However, the gym was too crowded to get a workout in when I tried using the squat rack. There is no clips for the bar. Definitely a safety issue there. I don’t know how you are expected to workout when everything is taken.
1. The HOURS are the worst. I mean closing at 10 pm and 5 pm on the weekends. This is nyc. At least stay open till 11 pm and 7 pm like other blinks. 2. They need more squat machine , bench press machine. It lacks equipment but they donot care. 3. Staff is hit and miss.
Very clean and well-maintained. Friendly and efficient staff who do not irritate exercise-goers in any manner whatsoever, unlike at other Blink Fitness locations. Decent selection of equipment albeit somewhat crowded in certain areas (free-weights.)
Staff was great, very helpful. Plenty of different machines and options for different workouts. Fair warning to those of you who sign up: I didn’t read the fine print and there is a 50 dollar charge on my card detailed that its an insurance
If you want to go to a gym to workout, then this is the gym for you. I for one, don't want to pay an extra 75$ a month just for a towel someone else already used and some somewhat fancy shampoo. At 25$ for EVERY Blink and UNLIMITED guests,
Really great gym. The people that go there are from 20-25. Lots of powerlifters. The only bad thing is that they don’t have as much equipment as other blinks. I come here only because it’s close to my work. But they should really get more
I like it here. i use to go to the NYSC way back in the days and enjoyed it because of the cleanliness. This location reminds me of that. I normally go in the morning between (6-8am) before I head to work, Less of a crowd . Also the staff
This gym is great for cardio and also weight lifting when the crowds are smaller however there are some issues. For example the water from the fountain is warm, when there are crowds expect to wait up to 30-40 minutes for some equipment,
I t was ok at first but then the vaccine mandate came and I was forced to either buy out my membership or freeze it, I chose to freeze it, the incompetence of the staff at blink FIDI did not submit my freeze properly which now they are
Super clean. Love the store manager she is super sweet and friendly. Corey, Shamaya, and Matthew were very welcoming and patient with me and my friends. Loveeee this gym so much! The rest of the staff is also supportive and welcoming.
Blink FiDi is a bare bones gym, which I generally like. However, their price point of $40 a month is a bit steep for what it is, when you could go a few blocks away to a Retro Fitness, and get the same thing offered for $25 a month
I couldn't believe the negative reviews. This place is no frills and you need to know that when you sign up! It's $20/month and you get all the basic equipment, and access to a bunch of locations throughout the city.
haven’t been to many gyms before but i do enjoy coming every week. this location has a very chill and friendly staff that are easy to talk to. also its super clean which i love.
All blink staff are awesome but all blinks still need an etiquette course because some members still don't wipe down machines, hog equipment and just be selfish
I've been here several times. Monday evenings tend to be the busiest, but Thursday to Sundays are usually a lot less crowded.
Great workout space, weight section is usually packed tough to get in for deadlifts but tons of cardio equipment available
One of the best gym deals in the city! Enjoy the space and membership program. Their app is pretty easy to use as well!
The staff is very welcoming and encouraging. They're always available to make your gym experience worth it
