Once you member they will charge you every month on your card. Thats fine convenient. I want to cancel my membership, they charge me $60 buyout fee, and and next 45 day's monthly charges. I was blue member. (I was join free only with monthly subscription fee in a offer ) that okay again i was not go though the terms and conditions. it's their management rule and my fault. With the cancellation process they give me signed paper and i will be charged total $83 thats all.. But the main problem is they charged me $60 extre after $83 . I call them (flatbush centre ) they told me manager will call you back.. I didn't get any call . Next day i again call them again they told me we will call you concerning the issue.. I didn't get any call.... After 5 days i went to the fitness centre talk with management. He got the issue. He can see my see my deducted amounts on his module. Now he told me show the bank statement as proof . I show him in my phone. Then he told me to get the statement and mail them . They will look after the issue.. From my end blink as brand name should not did any mistake like this. And for their mistake i need to waste my time on various processes to get back my own money.... After two weeks i knock thair again with statments . Now they have new manager. And she said that extra $40 charged for annual maintenance fee that they can't refund to me... Because i have accepted their terms and conditions... Now Actually i don't have more time to spend for $40 .... I am done here . I will never at blink no matter how much better facilities you provide.. Its cheat.. I have all of the papers.
The gym was right across my house it was a great location for me. I had a membership for $25. A year after my use of this gym receptionist on the west 4 location told me my membership expired and I cannot attend it this gym anymore, otherwise I will have to pay to extend for an additional year. I was fine with cancelling it since I just got the house and knew I won't have much free time to go to the gym. I always very busy with construction at the house and my two jobs and in about 7 months I realized they still charge my card! Different amounts were taking off my bank account like $25,$40, $26 every single month! When I realized this I emailed the only email I found on their website and went to the closest gym. Representatives at the gym told me they cannot do anything, they don't have any phone number or email to contact the main office. They told me to send a regular letter to the office because it is the only way of communication. O.o they said they can cancel my membership ship but I will have to pay additional fee. After that I got a respond on my email saying that it was my mistake that I didn't cancel the membership, they didn't want to check history of my attendance and said they will not refund money. I lost about $400 in total just because that girl told me my membership is cancelled but it was not!
At Blink Fitness, the staff is astronomically well inclined. They go to the level of extent unmatched to man. I have visited all the other gym's in the area. I have to say with the implementation of the level customer service and cleanliness that Blink Fitness is the better gym for fitness. The machines have the workout regiment written to tell you the areas that it will concentrate on. Most gym's do not have this. When I enter Blink Fitness I enter a safe clean environment knowing that I will have the best workout without worrying. At Blink the customer service to reiterate is astronomical as they implement by aquiring new ways to help their clients and go above and beyond. They even have fitness and nutrition coaches for an additional small fee that is knowledgeable about your needs. Blink is all about progress and the individuals that work there keep it running with there knowledge about your everyday needs. I give Blink Fitness 5 Stars and 2 Thumbs up on dependability, reliability, punctuality, friendliness, knowledgeable, cleanliness, and performance level. I would recommend This Blink Fitness to anyone at anytime to come and workout at all times. Mr Kyon A Rawle C.N.A M.A.
There is no bench press!!!! The most common gym equipment in the world is not at this gym. Most Blinks have a bench press AND an incline bench press and this gym has neither!!! You have to rely on the two squat racks to do bench press which is unfair because it’s always taken by people doing shoulder press or squats (which is what the squat rack is used for). This gym is smaller than other Blinks in the area (the one at the Junction is much better and bigger) and they have too many cardio machines and weight lifting machines that people rarely use. Some of those machines can be replaced with essential gym equipment....like a bench press!!!! Other blink gyms are clearly updating their equipment but this gym is not getting the message. Please add a bench press/incline bench press. UPDATE 2/3/19 Responded to "Blink Contact Us" Link and no one has gotten back to me and what's worse is that the gym still has not gotten a bench press...Absolutely ridiculous.
Hello, I leave gym reviews based on actual experience, based on overall gym operation, cleanliness, and environment. One thing that sticks out is the lack of consideration of other gym members that often enough plays music on speaker and no use of earphones. This is a common theme at this location. Gym employees dont seem to mind this sort of out loud music playing. Considering the language of some of the music, it's easily offensive and off putting to the gym experience. Otherwise, gym equipment is adequate, but its not for heavy lifters. More so like a beginner to intermediate level gym goer. The staff is another thing, they often meet you with a smile and are generally friendly. The gym is clean enough. Staff makes regular rounds. However, they can make the disinfectant wipes more available. The price is affordable. Members speaker music - 1 stars Lack of wipes - 2 stars Smile - 4 stars Cleanliness - 3 stars Price - 4 stars Equipment- 3 stars
The place is clean and spacious enough. However, it lacks certain equipment I'd like to see (i. e. Reverse incline bench) and a surplus of cardio equipment. Too much of certain types of equipment and not enough of others. The arrangement of the equipment could be better in that, for example, all the exercise bikes are in one spot. Treadmills, however, are everywhere. Would be nice to have a few bikes downstairs and a couple on the second level in the back not just in the front behind the dumbbell rack. A bit too many pieces of equipment were out of order as well. Dumbbells only go up to 90lbs so if you are a strong person it might not be your deal. Shower area was cordoned off. Perhaps covid-19 related? Overall, it is an adequate facility for the average patron. If you are really serious and want an array of equipment, might want to see other options.
Pros: The staff here are wonderful. This location is kept clean. Decline treadmills! Two bench presses! Can't beat the cost considering all factors. Cons: I couldn't find a sweet spot time of day to work out here peacefully (and quickly). It is crowded at 7a and it is crowded at 9p. Personal "trainers" from around the neighborhood who don't work there, won't leave you alone, and are generally bothersome, all the while trying to convince you why you should give them your money. Even while training other people, they are overbearing. Aren't I a lucky girl? Instagram and Tiktok clout demons hogging equipment and taking up space. I wish there were a couple more platform/squat racks and leg presses in place of some treadmills.
The gym closed in March due to the pandemic. I tried to cancel my membership, but there was obviously no one there. I tried calling their corporate customer service number, but no one answered. I finally gave up and told my credit card company to deny any attempts by them to charge me money. The gym stayed closed for six months. Apparently, they decided to reopen, and now they are threatening to send my account to collections because they think I should have continued to pay them after they were closed for half a year in the midst of a humanity-altering crisis during which they were unavailable to process my cancelation. These people are literally the scum of the earth. Also, the gym sucked.
Great gym and atmosphere. Very predatory business practices, even for a gym. Please make note that you are only allowed to cancel your membership in person, at the same gym you signed up at, or via certified letter mailed to their HQ. There is no online process, there is no phone process. If you're like me, and move out of state, your only option is a certified letter...for a $15 gym membership, which is insane. Also, after they receive your certified letter, they send you a form to fill out, which you again have to send via certified mail. I have to assume that there are enough people who think the $15 isn't worth the hassle and just keep the membership.
Same level of mediocrity as all the other blink locations have but somehow worse. 2 benches, 2 squat racks, like 45 cardio machines. At the busiest time less than half of the cardio machines get used. Edit: they have a total of four of the 5lb plates. For the whole gym. 4 of them. Imagine having 2 spoons 2 forks and 45 egg beaters in your kitchen. That's what this gym is like. Also they skimp on the wipes, no idea if they're even actually germicidal at all. I posted the photo with this review. They took free weights, a lot of them, to hold down parts of the sponge flooring. During business hours. Literally they won't even give you what you pay for.
I switched from planet fitness (there are two locations in the hood) to Blink and I can honestly say I regret it. The staff is nice, the gym is clean and I love all the natural light- but there are not enough machines for the number of members they have. Its almost impossible to complete a circuit workout- I have to wait for every machine every time I go and there’s never even room in random corners of the gym to do dumbbell workouts when the dumbbell area is packed (which is it every time I go). They need to open another location in Flatbush/PLG or they need to expand. Hoping to switch back to planet fitness when I can afford the cancellation fee.
Working out is the best thing for your immune system! I rather goto the gym then getting a vaccine Overall, I’m pretty impressed with blink - How obsessively clean this gym is! There are disinfectant wipes everywhere and everyone is wiping all the equipments before and after use. Touchless hand sanitizer stations are amazing! And there is a vending machine in the bathroom where you can buy mask or you can ask front desk for a disposable one for free. Temperatures are taken at the entry, with series of covid related questions My only question for blink: What happened to all the foam rollers?!They seem to have been all missing recently...
This is a standard commercial gym. They operate on a bring-'em-in-run-'em-off business plan. While it is clean and colorful, strength training comes second to positive vibes. Come if you need a gym that is bright and buoyant but look elsewhere if you are interested in developing any muscles other than your biceps. There are plenty of televisions and a constant stream of pop music but access to only two squat racks, two barbells and not a single bench press does not a gym make. You are going to have to wait if you want to work on any of the three main compound exercises.
What a great local gym to go to. There are at least 5 gyms within a mile radius, but this one stands out. The front desk is so welcoming, and most of the staff know my name upon walking in. Karl, Gabby, and Christine are always cheerful at the front. The gym floor is very clean, the majority of the time. Sometimes the gym gets packed, and keeping the floor clean is impossible, but there is always a maintenance person cleaning something. Lots of free weights and cardio machines, and rarely anything is out of order. Best gym to go to in 11226 for sure
First off I can assure you that I have no idea what that guy - Tom, is talking about. I’ll start by saying that the gym is CLEAN and they are always cleaning and reminding people to keep their mask on completely/the proper way. Secondly; ALL the staff is Super friendly and professional. I’ve never been to a gym before that they say “have a nice day/ stay safe” every time I leave. Thirdly; The POSITIVE ENERGY of the place is always shown by the staff through their individual personalities and personally for me Ms.Pauline and Mr.David are great!
I have been to many Blink gyms in Brooklyn and this is the only one that does not provide WIFI to its customers. Why is that? Is it because people in this neighborhood does not deserve WIFI.!!! Or is the owner too cheap! Additionally to not having WIFI this gym does not have a bench press and incline press. Members have to use the squat stands as a multi use machine. This gym is full of cardio equipment and is sufficient enough to get a quick workout but it is not a serious "gym" establishment. Go at your own accord. NO WIFI NO ME.
Since the gym opened back every time there is long line waiting outside to get in everage 45 minutes to an hour this is ridiculous management needs to come up with some strategy to deal with this either limiting the members time in the gym or something else there is Retro, planet Fitness and Crunch no lines no problem no waist of time but you know you wait in line to use Blink ,I'm seriously thinking to cancel our memberships
The staff is polite and nice...especially the older lady that usually at the front. Usually always clean and neat. Always have the wipes in stock on the gym floor to wipe down the machines. Never seen any bottles laying around...barely any of the wipes left around. Decent smell even tho everyone is working out hard. I love it here. I walk or drive a mile just to go to this location. Parking not so bad the hours I go.
Blink Fitness made a billing error on my account and owed me money. I tried to get this resolved for months. The company lacked the customer service systems necessary to actually deal with a customer issue. They still owe me money and I have repeatedly tried to get assistance from the corporate office and this franchise in particular. It's a fine gym so long as they don't make an error on your account.
Worst place ever! They try to get you in and falsely advertise that you're in a no commitment plan when you first start but when you actually do get a memenership and want to cancel, they charge you $70+ to do so because they finally tell you that you had a commitment with them.. Plus they lack equipment for that matter.... NEVER GETTING OR REFFERING ANYONE FOR A MEMBERSHIP HERE EVER AGAIN!
A sham!!! Don't do it! They are disgusting. Paid for private sessions my PT was disrespectful and said I should be ashamed that I had a stomach being that I hadn't had any kids. He also cancelled on me twice. On top of that the company steals your money and forces you to pay exit fees even after you've completed your contract. I haven't had a gym membership in years and now I remember why.
I went to all gyms in the neighborhood, and I can tell that this Blink is the best. They constantly seek ways to improve the space. Machines are well maintained. The most impressive part is the cleanliness of the space. They go above and beyond. It is the first time I see someone wiping the dust off of vents and light fixtures! This guy needs a raise! Good job Blink. I am impressed!
Had my wallet stolen in an OPEN gym ( not the locker room ) area with my string backpack. Someone went through my stuff while I turned my back for a SECOND! Worst of all the staff didn't even do anything to help after I realized. I had to SUGGEST we file a lost item report. Manager did not get back to me, either. Just business as usual in this place when stuff like this happens.
Kiki from front desk had the most beautiful warm welcoming greeting as I walked in and I noticed she kept the same energy with all the members. I appreciate great service and Kiki has done a great deal for her position. The gym overall is good as far as working out the machines are always available and I really have no complaints about this blink in flatbush.
This gym is awful. Typically when I go it is filthy. They rarely have cleaning materials to wipe down machines afterwards. The hand soap is often out in the bathroom. I have seen roaches while working out which makes me concerned about using the lockers. The staff is usually unhelpful. I have since changed gyms because this place sucks the joy out of fitness.
This is one of the decent Blink branches in the Flatbush area. Very close to prospect park. Does tend to get crowded in the evenings and you would have to wait in line due to Covid restrictions. The employees are fairly friendly and there is most of the basic equipment you would need. Nothing too fancy but gets the job done!
Why make people line up outside to enter ? Might as well just make it by appointments. Most of the new people coming in are the ones from Nostrand Avenue .worse communication ever , no emails sent to give a heads up . No wonder you guys lose costumers to Retro fitness or crunch . They keep their customers happy and updated .
Overall a great location/experience. I train at different locations, and I love the fact that it’s on the second floor with lots of windows. My only critique is that, given the pandemic, staff could be doing more to police mask wearing. Too many folks being a bit too casual with their masks. Other than that, a great spot.
The pros are that Blink in general is a good gym, very affordable, the place is clean and tidy, and the staff are friendly. However, they only have 2 squat racks and they are generally taken for the entire time that I am at the gym. You have to go in and vulture one if you want to do anything that requires the rack.
Sketchy hidden cancellation fees. Zero transparency from the staff who will also be unhelpful and rude when you ask for any alternatives to big undisclosed cancellation fees. I had to reverse the charge from my credit card instead. Also, the club is definitely oversold, good luck ever getting on the squat rack.
I'm using this branch on the weekend but I'm not satisfied with the amount of equipment. I can't do my kickboxing because there's no boxing bag, no bench press , you can't use the rope because most ppl are stretching or doing their workout right in the same position. The staff is great !!
Amazing staff. Super cool and understanding. Defensively the best gym crew I’ve ever met in my life. They do need to cut down on the useless cycling machines and whatever that weird walking thing is and replace it with more benches and weights. Overall good place and atmosphere.
A terrible experience here with customer service. Also unsafe distancing practices now that they are reopen. No regard for how many people they are letting in at one time. All of the locations are doing this... it is very unsafe, and they have been reported to 311 as well.
Great gym very VERY clean which I really like especially during the pandemic. equipment is good and the staff is very helpful with any questions. Also no weirdos so I recommend. Only flaw is the long lines you have to wait to get into the gym but its not the gyms fault.
STILL needs more squat racks, needs 5lb and 10lb plates (2,5lb too but doubtful), reduce number of treadmills and other underused machines, needs more bars (for deadlifts…), needs more stretching space, need incline bench press, need hammer strength machines,
When I was on training someone stole $100 from my backpack from locker. The thief opened the lock and made a mess of my stuff besides the management said that I'm not the first person with the same problem and they looked like they really don't care about it.
Since I joined it been a great experience and motivation for me. First time ever in a gym. Staff is so friendly and supportive. I did give it 4 star do to the bathrooms but other than that I love the big space with more machines; don’t have to wait long
For $20 a month, you can't beat this spot. Super friendly staff, knowledgeable trainers, lots of varied equipment, and ultra clean. The only downside is the word is out, so the high volume times are crowded! Come on the not peak hours & it's perfect.
The noise factor is always at a minimum, the regulars are easy to talk to and give assistance. Keeping it real there is always that one person trying to use two machines. Overall it's clean and staff is willing to help . So go your summer pump on .
great stuff and always clean, However it is almost always extremely crowded, also you wouldn’t be surprised if you see someone on the bench reading a book, and when you ask how many set left he would say i just started. so don’t became a member.
It's not bad, but the personal trainers intrude on your workouts and try to sell themselves to you. Not exactly a welcomed action. Also I have seen the male gym associates that are cleaning , only clean and re clean areas where females are.
the only good thing is you have access to regular equipment for real fitness enthusiast the worst part the members and the cleanness , some people are there hanging out rather than working out and you have to wait forever for one equipment
Would give five stars but people sit on machines watching videos on their cell phones or texting...I go to work out...not be entertained or handle personal affairs. Really annoying though when I ask if they are done and they say , “ no”.
space optimization needed. please move cardio etc to mezzanine and machines, squat racks to the space with the weights so super sets, etc can be more easily accomplished w/o traversing back and forth the ground floor is water space too
Great gym on a second floor lots of windows and mirrors and sunlight. staff is great gym is really clean they have to go around and clean hourly and have wipes for you to clean the machines and soap to shower and a bunch of lockers.
It's an okay transitioning gym meaning if you're a novice in fitness and know more than cardio and want heavier weights and more diversity, this is the gym for you. It gets busy after 4 PM and there's usually a wait for machines.
The staff are friendly and work hard to keep the gym clean. Looking forward to when the gym can allow more people in ... sometimes you have to wait outside on a line until people leave... in the cold that's not always fun.
Be prepared to pay them extraordinary amounts as they spike your membership monthly fees, charge you a $60 cancellation fee, and another fee "just cuz" on top of that. Beware and stay far away from any of the blink gyms..
Great gym to work out at. They have lots of machines to work out every part of the body. Very clean and the staff are awesome as well. I would surely reccomend this blink location to anyone who's interested.
If anyone ever answers the phone during business hours that would be great. If you posted accurate holiday hours on your site and not advertise the gym as partially full when it’s not that would also help
My favorite blink, at least top 5. Every blink that's not underground already is great for me. Love to workout with a view. I wish there would be more bars and a chest bench. But still love it.
The staff is really friendly. Love working out. And everyone in gym is friendly. The ma. Maintenance guys keep gym clean all time. They really nice. Just love the gym Cz it's really clean.
Very crowded. Very. Crowded. Several treadmills had stuttering belts. Only two benches and two squat racks I believe. Cheap price. if you can get in at odd hours you can get in a workout.
This Location is spacious and clean. Great staff and personal training. Darvin my personal trainer is a certified trainer that cares about your fitness goals. I highly recommend Blink.
Very hard to cancel, they’re not transparent and just keep racking the bills up when you’re attempting to cancel, 45 day notice for cancellation?? Very very sketchy, go to another gym
I enjoy working out @ blink very clean. Staff is friendly. Can be crowded depending on the time you go. I do wish they offered aerobic classes. But nonetheless it's a wonderful gym.
They started billing people again without notification in the middle of a pandemic and then make you come into their super-spreader gyms if you want to cancel. Predatory business.
I've been trying to cancel my membership since November and Blink continues to charge me. I have tried every avenue to contact corporate and they have been 100% unresponsive.
Perfect place to work out! I regret why I paid so much money to NYSC Blink is the best! And plus members are so clean!!!! #flatbush #brooklyn …
Gym is gym. They can do better. Have a ping pong table or a fussball or something. Not everything has to be metal or iron. Be different Blink for crying out loud. Be bold.
is staff supposed to periodically clean/wipe equipments throughout the day? There is wipes but i thought that was the requirement to maintain an open gym durimg covid?
Gym is nice, staff is awful. Staff member decided to come up behind me and touch me in the middle of a rep, causing me to hurt myself. Emailed but never got a reply.
False advertising. They say you can cancel anytime but continue to charge you monthly after you cancel until your 1 year membership is up... Horrible business model
Very clean, the staff is very friendly and a very nice atmosphere. Got a nice amount of equipment to use and my friend Casey from The Junction is the best
Great gym in the neighborhood! Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Not sure what some of these guys are complaining about but overall it's a great gym.
I like this gym very much but it is ALWAYS crowded. I’ve yet to find the right time of day when I don’t have to wait at least 10 minutes for a machine.
One of the best Blink locations I've been to! Very friendly morning staff. Great community. Everyone respects each other's workout. Highly recommend
Clean gym. Looks like they moved the furniture around to make it more spacious. Floor design is way better as it can get overly crowded at times.
Go to Harbor Fitness, plenty of cleaning wipes there. Not cheap on stuff like Blink. Blink prides itself on being clean but no cleaning wipes.
I go here twice a week and it's great. Plenty of space during the daytime. A nice area for kettlebells and stretching. Plenty of free weights.
I moved to Jackson Heights and now I started missing this Blink branch. Their staff, their cleanness and emptiness. You were the best Blink !
This gym is small and crowded at all hours of the day. One star because it’s the only gym in the neighborhood that isn’t an explosion
Love going here! Always a pleasant experience & I’ve been going here for about a month now & will definitely continue to do so!!!
Used to be great but now the weights area is very over crowded. Not enough equipment/ weights. Everyone is looking for 5# plates.
Not happy! Due to the covid pandemic I am not working and moved out of state and all they can offer is to put me in collections!
The staff is super polite and it doesn't smell like a bus seat in there. They only get 4 stars cuz it's cold af in there.
Workers are so friendly, gym is never packed when Im there and its clean. Usually done my workout in an hr time frame.
This location Has more treadmills and cardio equipment than weight lifting equipment. Barely any room to lift weights.
Clean gym, nice vibe, friendly staff, great equipment. Great packages but personal trainer prices are pretty steep.
Love everything about this gym. The friendliness of the patrons, tge professionalism of the staff and the setting.
As a discriminated PT at Crunch Fitness and a member of Planet Fitness, I promote 100% the value of Blink Fitness
Nice place friendly staff. Clean, safe equipment and well separated. Disappointed it does not offer any classes.
I have a question do u have to be 18 to go in this gym been trying to move my Gym bc the other one is too Farr
Convenient location for me. Better than Planet Fitness. Not too crowded and they have a scale. Happy so far.
No to many people early, get full there is is line to get in later in the day. Around 4-5pm. After work.
Clean and friendly, I like this location. Just wish they had the turf and sand bags like Steinway St
Affordable but they really need to clean the floors- gross. The mats are also really old.
I go there on a regular basis. No real complaints. Basic gym that gets the job done.
Facility is kept clean and staff are pretty friendly, welcoming. Get rip in a Blink
Convenient location. I’m able to use equipment when needed. One of my favorite gyms
As serviceable and clean as any blink gym. Nice street view and staff are friendly.
Showers seem a bit old/rough, but clean and everyone is nice. Good pricing too
Never had a bad experience, it's peaceful with a nice energy for working out
Second time someone stole my stuff from the locker. Management don't care.
Clean environment, clean equipment, very spacious. Like going this gym
One of the cleanest Blinks! And the employees are always nice and fun!
Great place to work out my goal firm fat lose wait get six pack.
Overall clean, small gym, has the basics for a decent lift.
Very good blink. Good space, but some equipment is broken
Best instruments and best place for work out like it
