My english staffy has to have an $80 per month cytopoint injection for life which takes 2 minutes. This price was agreed upon as it is a simple procedure that does not require a consult seems as I have been dealing with her condition every day for 18 months before cyctopoint was released. Today Brighton Vet decided to charge me another $40 consult fee on top after making me wait in reception for 35 minutes for the 2 minute injection process because this vet clinic is always running late for their appointments. This is not the first time they have added the $40 consult fee on and I remind them that is not the deal and they reduce it to $80, but today was the first time they refused to honour their $80 per month deal so I had to pay $120. Now my dog get's no bones for the month because that was her bone money. They have now lost us as a patient for the next 12 years of her life because they're greedy. There was no justification at all for this consult fee. If anyone wants to have a go at me you should know that I spent more than $30,000 on fighting mast cell cancer, chemo and operations on my old dog so I know what a consult is and if I had one I would agree to pay. Taking this extra $40 off me today means my dog misses out on her bones this month now because I'm still paying off the $30K on credit cards for my deceased dogs vet bills. This vet clinic does not honour their agreements!

EDIT 2: My cat is all better!! On top form... I can't articulate how thankful I am towards the whole team for all their endeavours. Brian, Magda and the rest of the team. All the Vets and members of staff have gone out of their way to see my kitty on emergency type basis, rang consistently to communicate or check-up on him and have been very transparent and informative. Despite their busy schedules, I was so very impressed to see them put time aside for me. I know that's not easy in itself. This is the gold standard of care I could only hope every clinic has in every manner and form, even to a marginal degree but this team of wonderful people tick all the right boxes. I found an injured mouse that I was concerned about whilst shopping today. I couldn't just leave it in case it was in pain, and it was clearly scared. I spoke with Jess on the phone who encouraged I brought it in for a check up, and discussed if it was well, it would go to a wildlife rescue. A few hours went by and Jess provided me with an update that unfortunately the mouse sustained serious injuries similar to a bite and the mouse was put to sleep. Jess was very kind and caring, non judgemental about someone bringing in a wild mouse and you could tell how much she loves animals and how passionate she is about her job. The world deserves more people like her.

This is the best vet service we have ever been to. They saved our dog's life with a blood transfusion from one of their own dogs. They persisted until they found out what was wrong and she is now a very happy dog, albeit in her later years. Importantly they have never tried to sell us anything unnecessary for our pet, in fact they will always give us options. I trust our vet, Brian, without constraint and he trusts that we know our pet so listens and gives advice based on what we have said. I have been using this veterinary practice for my dog for years so when my turtle became really sick I knew straight where to go. John Calder is a very knowledgeable man and went above and beyond to find out how he can help my beloved turtle Spike. I couldn't have felt more comfortable that he knew how to help him. I know not all veterinary practices can specialise in everything so I would completley recommend Brighton vets to not only help your fury friend but your beloved turtle as well!

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a vet. Dr Golden was rude and dismissive then REFUSED treatment of a dog in pain. This is my local vet (never used them other than a dew claw repair and a grass seed) he wanted full anaesthesia for this grass seed...what tha Now I know why... I've always heard rumours of a rude and arrogant vet. Well I met him today... So disappointed...and shocked! Off to my own vet now where they are kind and caring to both human and animal

2.5 not available. Young vet didn't seem comfortable with my lab after a nervous bark & insisted on me fitting a muzzle? Should have asked. I've never heard of a vicious Labrador? Prescribed for an ear infection a bit quickly. On a previous visit a vet insisted on a general anaesthetic to clip nails before even trying. They have provided me with the recorded history but only after I researched the subject.

Go elsewhere! Overcharge on everything, had no idea what was wrong with dog and charged $1996.80c 2 lots of exrays in 2 days just to check, $370 for electrolytes… thats 140 bottles of Gatorade!! The list goes on…. No communication and the estimate given was between $167 and $1000…. And guess what yep the first bill came to $1000… if you want to spend excessive amount of money for nothing go here….

Dr Brian Golden has looked after our animals for some years now. He goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that they are well cared for. One of our animals is currently critically ill and Brian's care has been incredibly compassionate, empathetic and supportive, not just for our pet but for us as well, even while he is very busy. The entire staff at the practice have been wonderful.

Very happy with the years of service from the Brighton Vet team. They managed our dog's heart condition for many years and thanks to their clinical management we had many more happy years with our best mate which we are forever grateful for. I have been attending this clinic for over 30 years. I have never come across more caring & supportive network of vets & their nurses than at this clinic. They were really supportive awhen I lost my dog of 17 years, a sympathy card & flowers plus a couple of phone calls to see how I was coping is the above & beyond kind of attitude that I love about these guys!

I have used this clinic in an emergency and for a follow-up appt. The staff were great, and the veterinarian explained the process and, after care to me clearly, did not make me feel rushed or silly if I didn't understand the conversation and needed clarification. Very caring and understanding.

This place is our go to vet for our two cats. The receptionists are excellent without fail and the vets are even better. They offer advice, are open to questions and so on as well as being very well qualified. The waiting room is well layed out and open which provides a good atmosphere.

For the second time our dog spent the night at Brighton Veterinary hospital. He is a professional escape artist and successfully run away during thunder and heavy rain. A wonderful couple M&R, found him on the esplanade and took him there and the fantastic staff took care off him.

Regardless of why I came into the clinic I felt I was treated with disrespect and was spoken down to by Dr Brian Golden. I will not be revisiting this clinic - which is disappointing because I have had a great experience previously and the receptionists are lovely.

Just took in a sick wild animal, but was totally impressed by what I saw: a sign explaining that if a candle on the front counter is lit, a family is saying goodbye to a beloved pet and to be mindful and respectful whilst waiting. So thoughtful and a great idea.

At my most recent visit Dr Leila Haghighi went beyond my expectations. She followed through my visit with a call to Hills pet foods to try and find a solution to my cat's constipation. She then rang me back the following day with suggestions.

These guys 'n gals are great. They clearly love animals and they take the time to hear and answer any concerns. They also know what they are talking about, which is comforting. They have been fabulous with my dogs the last 11 years or more.

Staff and vet we saw fitted us in late when our old dog collapsed they did not rush me even though it was nearly closing time and were very kind and compassionate when I had to make the decision to have her put down.
