The C. Don Filer Agency has handled my law firm's insurance requirements for more than 35 years. This includes providing my firm with ancillary services and products, such as appellate bonds, notary insurance coverage and notarial bonds. The C. Don Filer Agency also provided insurance coverage for me personally during at least the past 35 years, including insurance for my homes, autos, airplanes and the usual assortment of toys that require insurance. While I'm at it I want to indicate that the person currently assigned to handle my business and personal insurance needs is Julie Ann Schroeder. Julie Ann is an insurance professional of the highest caliber. She watches out for market trends and notifies me when she finds something that needs to be considered. A perfect example is the across-the-board rate increases that all insurers are now being required to undertake due to the unfortunate passage of insurance regulations that preclude insurers from being able to use an insured person's credit worthiness to fix rates. This new regulation will cause my insurance rates to increase rather dramatically when they go into effect. Julie Ann called to alert me of these rate increases so that we could work out alternatives to get pending coverages renewed and/or amended prior to the rate increases. I am thoroughly pleased with the services I receive from the C. Don Filer Agency and Julie Ann Schroeder.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. If I could give 0 stars I would, and there is one single person that has been so terrible that previous good service from this insurance provider has become a nightmare. I've never been harassed in my life to the extent that Julie Schroeder, one of their Insurance Executives, has harassed me. Julie Schroeder emailed and called nearly 30 times over the course of 2 weeks demanding payment for a premium that I already paid. Stalkers don't even both you that much. And the tone was incredibly hostile with every conversation. She would not get off the phone without a deadline or next step that I had to promise to investigate and prove to her the fact (that I clearly knew) that I had already paid this premium. At one point, I called another agent to discuss a separate matter, and Julie jumped on the line to interrupt the conversation and attempt to collect payment. She even went so far as to contact my employees at their workplace to demand that I contact her back regarding the issue, an incredible and costly waste of my company's time. It turned out that it was THEIR MISTAKE! I HAD in fact made that payment weeks prior. No apology at all from them. What a terrible experience. I cannot warn people enough. And Schroeder needs to be fired if the agency wishes to have me as a client again.

Expertise, Kindness, Personal Service. Over the past 15+years I have received outstanding assistance with my auto and renter’s insurance needs. Mary was the wonderful agent who worked with me the first several years, and after she retired, Lynn took over. Both agents were extremely knowledgeable and kind. They would check in with me twice a year or so to see if I had had any changes that would affect my insurance needs. If I ever had any questions about anything I would email or call and they would get back to me usually the same day. Having such wonderful personal service in this age of apps and automated phone systems is so much better. After I moved, Lynn helped my son transfer his cars from my policy to his own. I am very grateful that he will continue to have the benefit of Lynn’s guidance.
