I've been a Co-op member since 1987 and this is my least favourite location. Some people may like the ultra-compact nature of this store, but I sure don't...it just ends up being a walk through tunnels of products, 1/3 of which are up too high for many shoppers to reach. This is a large building with unrented space next to it and the pharmacy area is at least a quarter of the floor area. The fresh produce section is tiny and uninspiring in its layout. You'd think that with all of the opportunity a brand new centre provides that Co-op would present a wonderful experience. This is an unfortunate and very avoidable failure. I'll be shopping at Hamptons or Creekside instead where it doesn't have the feel of Costco or Home Depot.
Quite disappointed with the layout. The aisles are quite narrow and the shelves much higher than other stores. It's a tight squeeze passing someone and a bit iffy getting something from the top shelf. But it is quite handy and we'll shop there for a few items at a time but major shopping will be done elsewhere--back to Sobeys or Dalhousie Coop. On a positive note, the store is neat and clean and the employees are very friendly and most eager to be of assistance .
much smaller than a typical grocery store. It would be best for more frequent, quicker trips which I will try seeing as it is so close to home for me. Seemed to still have nearly everything I come to expect in a full size store just less of each item on the shelves (a 1x1 item spot rather than a whole shelf full at other places etc.) Once I've had a few more trips I expect to have a better idea of where items are.
It's certainly a compact store in terms of size, but I find I can get my weekly grocery shop done in an hour because of it, which is a great time saver. And because it's built in a new area it's never busy. The store made bagels are really tasty and the Cal & Gary's line has some unique well-priced items. Also, the staff are really great... they seem very genuine and customer oriented. They've earned our business.
I can see myself shopping here frequently. Hopefully even when the neighborhood is finished being built around this store it will still remain quiet enough to shop peacefully. Nice environment, friendly staff, someone told me there will be a new COOP app coming out in a few months, can't wait to try it, hear there will be new rewards system along with a game for free products too. /)
The customer service employee who’s hair is in a bun should not be in that department. Her attitude tells you that she thinks she owns the store and you are lower than her (her eyes like to exercise going up and down). Sadly i dont like being disrespected/rude people. Hence the 2 star. Would have given it a 1 star if not because the store is quite nice, clean and people were amazing.
Honestly, this location is pretty new. Not much traffic which is perfect for people Who are avoiding grocery traffic. Also lots of time to train people. Though its my fault that I didnt read the label under the $3off sticker. No one can know how to do a return nor credit me For my 2x$3 discount. So I have to wait less 10 mins. Otherwise this location has a lot of potential.
Super convenient location. I live directly across the street. They just reopened and are fully operational. They have everything you need including the liquor store and gas bar which have opened today as well. Staff are friendly and helpful. The selection and quality of their products are top notch! Definitely recommend checking it out!
Its a smaller Coop that has most of your basic grocery needs. Its great to have nearby to grab an ingredient or two. However, this location is EXPENSIVE! I would not recommend to do all of your grocery shopping needs here unless you’re willing to pay extra premium prices. Bonus though is that all the staff are so pleasant and helpful.
I have bought a bag of onion yesterday first of all it is very expensive (mostly all items) and moreover there are lots of rotten onions inside. It’s just a small bag and have at least 3-4 of them are not good. So disappointed and sad bcos of wasting my hard working money in Co op. Everything is expensive and not good products.
I love this compact CO-OP grocery store. Makes shopping quick, easy and super convenient. A huge time saver. Even though it is smaller I still have been able to find all the regular items I get and use on a regular basis. I’ve also found a few items I haven’t seen in some of the bigger co-ops. Highly recommend this store.
I did a online curb-side pick up. The staff called to confirm substitutions and my order was ready for pick up earlier than expected. Pick up was quick and convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. A nice hand written note and a freebie was included in the order which added a nice touch. I will definitely return!
Well stocked and attractively laid out. You may not find everything that a full sized COOP has but they do a great job of offering a good selection for a store that's smaller. The staff are friendly, personable and happy to help you. They keep the store spotless. We shop there often and enjoy the experience. Don
It looks great, has an actual butcher counter and seems to have really friendly staff. BUT, it is really small and they try to pack in a full stores worth of stuff. The aisles are really narrow and it's a little claustrophobic. It's a basket only trip for me. If I need a cart I'll go to Sobeys.
Stopped off at Sage hill Coop for some last minute mothersday flowers. Soon after entering the store i was greeted with smiles from the employees and a strikingly clean store, the manager even helped me pick the perfect flowers. Super friendly service 10 out of 10 Would recommend
The “packed on” date had been changed on the cheese by replacing the original sticker. Just avoid buying cheese, dairy, eggs and veggies from here. It’s never fresh. Update: There’s cross contamination of meat .It’s clearly a mix of beef and pork that they’ve labelled as beef.
Seems such a huge waist of resources doesn't seem sustainable and arguably another poor decision by "Calgary Coop" Super dead doesn't have a great selection of products... staff are bored. Money should have been spent wisely elsewhere. Wrong Demographics for a coop
By far one of the cleanest and we'll organize grocery stores I've been in. Produce is always exceptionally fresh with an outstanding amount of locally produced items in store. It's a bit on the pricey side, but you definitely get what you pay for quality wise.
Finally opened, fruit and vegetables very fresh. The cashier was friendly but the employees lacked of customer service. We were trying to get a co-op card and they just looked at us but proceeded to ignore us. I suggest better training for new employees.
Everything is about 25-40% more expensive compared to the Sage Hill Walmart. Employees stocking shelves are very helpful. Employees at the cash counter are usually just chatting away in the corner instead of helping customers. Especially on weekends.
We love this supermarket, it have good quality products, fresh vegetables and fruits, and the personnel have very good customer service, always willing to help, even with questions about how to prepare a turkey for Christmas …
Awesome local business location. The layout reminds me a lot of European grocery stores, and makes the most of a small location. Staff were helpful and friendly. The place is very organized. Bakery items have been awesome too!
Employee’s always put a smile on my face but for some reason the cellular connection is terrible inside the building. I always have trouble contacting my family to ask if they need anything for groceries. Please fix it.
I happened to be close by and I wanted to see if this place was open or close. It turns out to be under construction and in no hurry to open. It's on the smaller size, kinda like the supermarkets you'll find in Europe.
Came in for lunch and picked a few items from under the heat lamp. The breakdown: 5 wings, 3 deep fried macaroni and maybe a dozen onion rings paid by weight. The cost $18.70 pictures included, please see for yourself.
Came here to get my groceries and I have a major complaint. I overheard the blonde cashier make racist remarks about the food I was purchasing, horrible customer service, don’t plan on coming back here any time soon.
Co-op Super market. Some restaurants, Tim Hortons and other businesses. You can get dental, hair and nails, etc. Newer plaza with new businesses opening all the time. New chicken restaurant. Shoppers Drugmart. ETC.
Really outstanding service from the staff everybody’s willing to drop what they’re doing and help if you need any help finding anything the store is conveniently laid out and very efficient and clean
Great store if you don't like shopping with other people, the last 3 times I've gone I'm pretty sure I was the only customer in the entire store. Isles are more narrow than your normal co-op
It's kinda small but everything is spotless, veggies are super fresh and the customer service is great and friendly. I just have to give this place 5 stars, it's well earned.
Not a lot of foot traffic yet so it was easy to navigate and check out was super quick. The store was very clean as well and they had a great selection of everything.
Beautiful little store. Great and easy to shop. Local products and suppliers! Most important it is a Cooperative so support your community not mega corporations!
Narrow aisles, tall shelving, feels like shopping in a canyon. Very small and little staff to help. Beautiful interior, well stocked and fully faced.
So close to home, I can't wait for it to open up in November. Not sure why people are giving a low star for a store not yet ready to open.
My favorite, it's never too busy. Nice and quiet everytime I shop there and it's not to big, you don't have to walk far to get something.
I use it's EV charging stations regularly. It's free. It's in perfect condition and nicely located in parking spots. Thank you Co-op!:)
Always a good experience at Co op, Sage Hill. Products, organization, ease of shopping, customer service, cleanliness, all great!
Immaculate store. All shelves full, items faced perfectly. It's not a full size co-op but they had everything I was looking for.
Very helpful staff. Anna, thank you so much for your help with everything and making shopping at this location a breeze.
smaller co-op, very clean and organized. was very quiet when we went on the weekend. Smaller selection of bakery goods
Very laid back and not too busy location. It's a bit smaller than most Co-Ops but it seems to have everything.
Smaller grocery store. They have a pharmacy. Very clean inside. I'm impressed on how clean it is.
Limited selection compared to nearby Hamptons Co-op but good place for grocery shopping
The staff make everything that much better. Always a pleasure shopping here.
Great new store, loved the setup, super friendly, love the Keto selections.
A lot of supplements for a grocery store.. just what I was looking for
Very convenient location. A very good variety of items to choose from.
The pharmacist was really friendly and prepared my pills right away.
everyone friendly and knowledgeable made shopping easy thanks
