Rude and overpriced. I was hoping to find a good acai bowl place near me. Didn't happen here. What is described on the menu as an empanada is actually just an overly microwaved bag of greasy inedible mush. We didn't bother to complain. But what did get us was their acai bowls. Clearly on the sign it states that every bowl comes with bananas, strawberries, and coconut. The Cali bowl is exactly that actually. The Caribbean bowl is described as the Cali bowl plus mango and pineapple. I ordered them both. I received a perfect Cali bowl but the other one had no bananas or strawberries, just very frozen pineapple and mango. When I asked why they said that even though the menu says that it's not correct. I then pointed out the price discrepancy between the two bowls expecting that mine would have more items in it not the same amount. I was met with the stinkiest of faces. They offered zero apology and did give me my side items that were supposed to be included according to their menu. Like if you already know the answer to the problem and you haven't fixed it at least treat your customers respectfully when they notice it. All I got was three stank faces and some strawberry and banana. So please if you do go here and order an acai bowl, make sure you get those items that are listed on the menu until they fix it because you are definitely paying for them.

The staff here are honestly so sweet and amazing! There was a time I couldn’t pay for my drink. I went there thinking I had the funds to get coffee that day. (Was such an embarrassing moment) I pulled out three cards and they all declined.(I wanted to cry ) So I whisper to the young lady who took my order to please cancel. I felt so bad! I was embarrassed and overly apologetic. As I’m trying to leave carrying all my humiliation. The young barista lady said “ Oh, here it’s okay! We got you this time.” I told her I couldn’t take it, I’d feel bad doing so. But she insisted for me to take it. So I did and I thanked her and everyone there. This was the first time I’ve experienced something like this. And I honestly wanted to cry. I ended up coming back a couple of days later to pay for that drink. And left them a tip, appreciating them for being kind to me that day. Here some pictures I have taken of this place before that experience I had. Please give this location some love and appreciation to these hard working ladies. ✨

Hands down, this has to be one of the best Cafés in San Diego county. Aside from the amazing ladies who run the cafe, the endless options to chose from, and the awesome location, they truly craft each item specifically with their customers in mind. Those girls are so versed in what they do, you can tell them to make you your drink the way you want it, and it comes out better than what you could have imagined. Recently, I’ve gotten hooked to their new “Dulce de Leche Cold Brew”, and it’s hard to feel like I’ve had a complete morning without starting my day off with a cup of that, some kind smiles, and their amazing service. Do not pass up the opportunity to experience this place and support local businesses, as quickly you can see that it is far more than just an ordinary café.

I usually like this stand but i had An awful experience tonight. I went to the window to order and the girl inside not sure what her name is she is darker skinned with short curly blonde orangish hair and glasses rolled her eyes when she saw me. She opened the window and said “what would you like.” She was extremely rude the entire time. Not friendly at all like most all other staff. She complained the whole time about how cold she was. She was not using professional language while doing so. It’s so disappointing to go to a place you usually love and have an awful experience because of one of the staff members. Pretty sad about this.

What happened!?! I enjoy supporting a good business…big or small! Cali Cafe was always one of my favorites. Every time family and friends come I would bring them here and rave about it. Unfortunately, the last 4-5 times I’ve been it’s been like a bad Starbucks experience. My flavored drinks have taste like burned coffee with a hint of another bad experience but I kept giving them another chance. This time is the last time (thankfully, no friends or family were in attendance during these visits) Irish cream cold brew w/ Almond milk for almost $9 that wasn’t any better than the previous. Highly disappointed.

I was in San Diego on a business trip (traveling from Minnesota) and happened to be staying nearby this little gem. The same two lovely employees helped me all three times I visited and they were amazing. I ordered the cold brew coffee for my drink each time along with an açaí bowl. The coffee was yummy and strong - just how I like my coffee! The açaí bowl had nice fresh fruit and totally hit the spot. There aren’t a lot of places with açaí bowls in Minnesota so I was really happy to find these. I would totally recommend this place. I look forward to revisiting next time I am in San Diego!

Been coming here since it opened, has gone downhill. These new employees are extremely rude. They messed up my order, I politely let them know, the employee snapped at me rolled her eyes and after that slammed the door in my face. They didn’t give me the banana I payed for and didn’t let me know my order was ready letting it melt in the sun. I did not say anything because I come with my 1 year old daughter and I wouldn’t make a scene in front of her. This was our daily walk stop but not anymore. The yogurt place in front sells great acai bowls, smoothies and more!

The drink I got was alright. I ordered an orange smoothie drink. It was a bit grainy, I assume because of the powder they must put in it. The wait was long though, which is why I rated them 3 stars. I stood in the hot sun while waiting for 1 drink for about 15 min. They were not overly busy, but it was consistent and steady the whole time I was there. At least one person ordering something and there were two girls working and making drinks. Overall its was not too bad and I may try a different drink here and adjust my review. Could have just been an off day.

So many wonderful choices!! The drink I got was a cupcake latte, I was afraid it was going to be way to sweet but it is not !! It is like I am eating a cupcake and drinking a coffee!! The ladies that was there were so so friendly!!! We even got to try a drink that was amazing!! I will be coming back to them everyday!! It is a tucked away wonderful little place !! Firstly, RUDE MEAN GIRLS running this grody spot. Water flavored coffee with a cup of sugar. I got the Vietnamese iced coffee- weaker than a Baby's pinky finga!!! Lot's of menu choices so you think cool, but sometimes that means they don't perfect anything. Smiles and happy attitudes would be nice. The pastry was soggy and old. Trashed it all. NOT worth the $10 & change after tip. Why did I even tip? Lol

Looking to skip Star**** & support local instead? Run, don’t walk to Cali Cafe. Came across this place on a whim and ended up coming back multiple days in a row. Coffee is EXCELLENT, Acai bowls are delicious. Staff is friendly. Saturday morning there was a long line and everyone was content to wait for their order. Five stars all around.

My new fave instead of Starbucks! My chai can be made into a 32oz which is awesome. Mostly 2 workers so it mayne take some time to make your drink but the wait is worth it. Like any place, some staff is friendly some aren't. They have a lot of options for you to choose from.

Cali Cafe has the best Acai bowls!! When I feel like treating myself, I always opt to get an Acai bowl. I like the one with Tajin. My other half enjoys the one with peanut butter! I feel like you can't go wrong with any of them.

I came here with my kids the other day and being a coffee lover, I of course went for a hot latte with an extra shot of espresso! It was perfectly delicious! They also had kids sized smoothies put in kids cups that they got to keep! My kids loved it and were super excited & not to mention, they had great prices! They had great service too! We will definitely go back

I'm a big fan of acai bowls but I'll say this is not the place to get one. $17 for their medium size (with tip), and the mango, pineapple and peach is literally from those $1 Dole fruit cans packed with sugar and syrup. Disgusting.

The cutest coffee/smoothie/açaí bowl drive-up bar! The staff are very kind and helpful, and the prices are very fair. They have a great variety to satisfy any sweet tooth, health nut, or coffee lover’s cravings. I got the green goblin smoothie. It was the perfect amount of savory and sweet, definitely a well crafted menu. Cali Cafe will be seeing me again.

Their menu is delicious, however the last 3 times we have been there, only 1 person was working. We waited 15 minutes to order 2 people in front of us left and the man behind us left. It took another 10 to get our order. I ordered 28 dollars of items and then They charged for water. We love this place it just takes a long time. Maybe hire 1 more person.

I came here for the first time a couple of weeks ago after hearing about it from a friend who lives in the area; I can easily say I go there almost every day now because I’m addicted to their dulce de leche cold brew, which I haven’t found anywhere else. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and extremely sweet. Don’t miss out on this local gem.

All around a great experience. We came here from the gym across the street looking for some refreshment, and the staff was super nice and helpful in getting what we needed. Stop here every weekend after my haircut for an açaí bowl. The girls are always super friendly and make a bomb açaí bowl. Fruits never bad, the bowls always packed nice and full, and they are always suggesting new things to try and I have not been disappointed. Prices are great and this little spot brightens up the neighborhood.

I love this cafe soo much! It’s so cute and the people that work there are so nice and awesome! The best Açaí bowl I have ever had and the paradise passion was amazing! We haven’t had a coffee this bad in our entire life. The girl with pink hair who was helping us is definitely not paying attention with this job. She was chatting with another girl the whole time , massed up with my order, then our coffee taste like water and sweet milk. No going back for sure.

We recently moved to the are and found this gem. They do coffee right! Lots of specialty choices and the coffee is good quality. They also do smoothies, acai bowls, and baked goods. I haven't tried any myself but if they are half as good as their coffee, they'll have a patron for life.

Great coffee. I did not prefer the Acai bowl. It was scooped out from a frozen container and lacked flavor. They fact that it started from the freezer caused it to have ice crystals so once it gets to the consumer, it's not as smooth as one would expect and Acai bowl to be.

A nice little quaint cafe with a good amount of coffee options. I tried the Vietnamese coffee and it was delicious. The coffee here was prices a bit higher but it’s a nice small business. It is literally a small cafe in the corner of a street! I’d definitely come back here

Coffee was great. However, I ordered a blueberry muffin, when I pulled it out to eat it the bake date was 9/23 and it was a cranberry muffin. Personally I think 10 days is too long for a muffin to be kept.

There are so many options to choose from and from the verity I have tried so far they are all amazing. The staff is super nice and have great suggestions if you don’t know what you want! Highly recommend

This is a great local stop with friendly faces that look happy to be there, Sabu is up bright and early ready to roll out some good coffee, I recommend the acai bowls especially!

My first time trying an Acaí bowl, and it was phenomenal! The employees were so sweet and the Cold Brew coffee was so amazing as well!

Ordered some begal breakfast sandwiches and they hit the spot. My mom had a smoothie and wasn't overly sweet. Go get ya some.

If you want a good taste of coffee i recommend this shop. The service is very excellent and i love always coming back here.
