Rude staff... Went there yesterday to verify my identity after talking to someone from capital one and explained my situation to them as to what id I had so he said I could use my health card for picture id and use a bank statement or rental agreement for my name and address! So I go to shopper's and explained to them that I was just talking to the guy on the phone and he said I could use my health card for picture and bank statement for proof of name and address, I pull out my health card and right away the old lady that was working there rudely said NOPE, NOPE YOU CANT USE THAT.. I again explained my situation and both women at this point said the same thing.. I said to them you know all I get is rudeness from you guys.. the older lady said well you can leave we don't want you here.. I said well you can go to anger management and come back when you are healed... she was so rude and disrespectful towards me.. I was there with my son who also said to me as we walked away that they were very rude and didn't need to say everything the way they did.. I have been going to this one for 17 years and I must say this is the first time I have ever had to deal with rude staff like this.. ugly attitudes make you ugly..
There are a lot better post offices around the GTA for sure. I have gone here about 4 times and most of the time they had a sign saying they left early for the day. Recently I went here and the clerk made a really big deal to tell me there was no guarantee one letter would get to a state in the tri state area just south of Ontario within 6 months which warranted a response from my end about how no one wants to hear only negative statements. Meanwhile the other Manager or whoever she was full of massive tattoos and crazy hair style wanted to have chit chat with another patron and laugh in a sort of weird way that was off putting. At the end of the day, I probably should not have spent what I spent but to be sure it got by a deadline, I paid. I came to find out the mail was delivered pretty timely and from now on I shall go over to another post office because I am just tired of lame attitude workers who provide little value to my day!
Giving a 1 star rating because i was technically scammed and it was only after the purchase i had found out. Went in to send registered mail to the passport office in QC, was told by Eleanor that i had to pay for express mail bc that was the only one that has a tracking number, then proceeded to tell me i had to buy an empty envelope of the same price so they can send me my documents back. Later found out that any document from the government we get back is paid for by the government and i had no reason to pay double express registered mail for them to send documents back. I trusted her advice as she works there and would know how to guide me best but it just goes to show us that we need to do research before we do anything in life.
Canada post locations, especially this one could really use an Express line. The post office workers are not the problem, people with no regard for other people in line behind them are always a problem here. Individuals taking longer than 15 minutes to ask questions they could've found the answer to with a simple online search... people with dozens of packages and no forms filled, even people arguing over exchange rate or starting fights with postal workers over other things completely out of their control, etc. Prepare to have to wait for an hour for all that to be sorted out... sounds completely fair to people who take the time to get everything as prepared and ready for the workers as possible.
By no means this review is for this specific location but for canada post service. I shipped a package almost 3 weeks ago and I was told it’ll deliver in 5-7 business days with a possible slight delay. After about 3 weeks with no expected delivery date yet the agent on the phone said because it’s regular service there’s no guarentee when the package will deliver and no matter when it delivers we don’t refund you your money. F’ing $60 spent to send a package to a destination that it never reached and I’m being told because I didn’t pay for express service my money doesn’t matter. Freaking useless and incompetent call centre agent!
Walked in at around 5:30-5:40 and was told i couldnt be served because they were wrapping things up at the cash. I mentioned that their business hours sign says 6pm closing. They told me i should know that they need time to close up, and to leave. I called the Canada Post head office to report their poor customer service, and rude/disrespectful demeanor. The customer service rep was very helpful, and stated that they should NOT be closing until 9pm. He recorded all of my information and will be followin be following up with me in a couple of days
Older woman today said I could not send a sound card to America because America does not accept electronics. Only commerical goods are accepted. This is the first time I've heard of this since I've sent many times hard drives and CPUs to America. Even Canada post themselves via phone said you can send electronics to the USA. You just can't send electronics that deal with radiation. Batteriest cannot be sent by Air. Staff at this location needs to read the website prohibited list better.
If I could give zero stars I would - staff wanted me to buy tape for 3.99 and “prepare the package” to go. Since when do we now have to buy tape and prepare the package to go? I thought that was part of what the service is when you bring it to be mailed? I asked very kindly and noted that when I brought a package last time, staff kindly taped it for me. The woman at the desk told me they had no tape and told me to purchase it. Never coming here again to mail a package.
They are so rude and they leave the counter while i’m standing there with my parcel. They left for 25 mins sometimes. It doesn’t take two people to go into the back, it takes one. Please do your job. Don’t keep people waiting. Certainly don’t have attitude too. It’s simple don’t keep people waiting. I’m not going wait for over 25 mins while two of you in the back. It’s so annoying. You see me standing there just to leave.
Sent a mail, not big deal. I asked the lady if she would be kind of enough to give me a paper clip. With the coldest face she told me to buy a packet of overpriced paper clips. I also remember sending a packet abroad which was to take two weeks. It ended up taking 3 months+, because one of the girls wrote the address wrong and even my email. Great work .
I thought I was on prank show. There’s a line of people trying to ship out packages, some, like me: are shipping for business. The cashier steps out and starts playing with a baby, when I realize she is trying to take his picture because apparently the post office does passport photos. Ridiculous
It was oh k I guess I just sent my two packages out today but I had to end up doing it separately cause the might end getting damaged. The guy who works there says why not just put the PS3 controller and the 4 PS3 games together I didn't want to in case the controller or games got damaged.
This location is great there is only one employee that stops me from giving 5 stars and that’s because they don’t seem to care and get things wrong a lot. I think if they just had a stern talking to and some more training they would help bring this place up.
Staff are unable to process mail to standard addresses and have gone so far as to tell me postal codes are invalid (for addresses that I've sent mail to for decades). They routinely provide advice that conflicts with any other Canada Post outlet.
Not a place to visit if you have only 10 minutes on your schedule for posts. The customer service is super slow. The CMRs like to chat more with customers than to get on with the business quickly no matter how long the queue is
I was a bit confused that the Shoppers employee was taking passport pictures which I believe your not supposed to smile in ? This girl was laughing and just smiles from ear to ear. They won't accept that I'm sure.
Don’t know why people are hating on this location. It’s open late so very convenient. Maybe the service wasn’t overly cheerful, but I don’t care, it was quick and efficient, that’s good enough for me!
If a line up it's slow. Too much measuring and weighing. Staff are doing a great job. It's customers bringing packages of every size and that causes the delay. Great work staff.
Always very nice went by the rule wouldn't give me my parcel without photo ID with my address and that people is the proper way!!!
Only one person working front on a Monday, by far one of the busiest days. Employees friendly but service is FAR too slow.
Spoke to Brenda today about helping me locate a package, and she was so helpful! She went above and beyond.
It was closed for no reason for 25 minutes with sign will be back at 7:35, got to wait for no reason
The service depends on who is working. It's usually fairly good and the staff are helpful
I have always been treated well. Questions are answered with courtesy and respect.
Bad and slow service this location first and last time ill come to here
Great place when getting packages and mail. Most reliable as well
Took care of my return with fast and friendly service.
Just like any other shoppers
Fast service
