Bought 2 LED bulbs at this store. Took them home, plugged one in and the light started to flicker. The bulbs were only $1.29 ea. Not expensive at all but the light was really tiring on the eyes. On my next trip to the store's vicinity, I took them to the return desk. I had the receipt and did not expect what happened next. "Did you install them” was the first question. Yes, I did but only for a few minutes when I discovered they do not work properly. “Well in this case, I cannot refund you your money ($2.92 with tax); we can exchange them for you”. Okay but can we test the exchanged bulbs whether or not they work? “No, I do not have a place to test them here” was the answer. I was given the option to exchange for another brand if I pay the difference. Another brand was $6+ per bulb after tax. At that point, I was not sure the $6 bulb would work and did not want to repeat the process. Long story short, I took the exchanged bulbs home. They flicker the same way as the original. In retrospect, a fairly cheap lesson for me: However, I will be very reluctant to buy at this store because of this experience. No money back for a faulty product (!) really? I would appreciate it if the store owner could comment. Did these bulbs pass the technical and safety checks, especially hazard to sightseeing? How can one get money back if the product sold at the store does not work? What happened to me, why was the refund refused? (Kind of feels that I am suspected of breaking the bulbs) Nov 25, 2023 Thank you for your offer to discuss the issue outside of this forum. I really do not have much to add. I think it would be the best if store management publicly clarified its refund policy in case a faulty or substandard quality item is sold. If “installing” a bulb, even for a couple of minutes, precludes cash refund, then what process (of quality check) you recommend? By reading few other reviews here (e.g., Nikky 3 months ago), if the problem is untrained employee(s) and not intentional instructions from management, is it going to be addressed soon?

I placed an online order on November 23rd, 2023 (evening). According to the email I have 5 days to pick it up. I went to this location on November 25th, 2023 (afternoon) to pick it up. I had to grab a few more things, after paying for those, I went to customer service to see if I can just pick it up from inside. They told me I’ll have to pick it from the back at curbside and that he’ll let them know. I arrived to the back, dialed the number and nobody was answering the call. By then an employee came up to the window and I provided the order number. About 12-13 mins went by and another employee came to check. I called up on us. I told him that one of the employee was already taking care of our order but it’s been some time. He said oh yes that because you didn’t pick up your order within a few days it was placed back on the shelves. I told him that i just ordered two days ago and I was given up to five days. It’s now been about 17 mins. I called the number again and after several bells some lady answered and I explained that we’ve been waiting for sometime now etc. The lady on the other line rudely said yes we just figured out what’s going on and the order will be out soon. She came out with three items and said there’s still one more item on the way. I told her I’m confused why my items were put back in the shelf if I had five days to pick it up. She’s like “um” maybe because it was laying on the ground and someone just put it back. I found this odd as normally pickup items are supposed to have order numbers or some receipts on it. I personally think that they didn’t even my order prepared and they made excuses.

Close to 10am today I tried to return a led light that was bought by mistake as it was battery operated and we wanted a plug in, the old lady with curly blonde hair at customer service was very very RUDE and in an extremely condescending tone refused to accept the return as she claimed that the box was opened, meanwhile what she did was open the box when I handed it to her then asked me if I opened the box was opened but before I can answer she stated that the box was opened so I asked what is the problem with that and she got infuriated and in a louder voice told me to read the box of the receipt, so I told her I never had a problem returning an item before, she just irritatingly said it's not her, so I asked how come she accepted the return of the guy ahead of me and I pointed to the box of a product on the cart that was clearly opened and again she just said read the back of the receipt, I don't want to think that she refused to accept my return because I am colored, but that was the case, she was delightful with the Caucasian guy before me but changed her tone and demeanor as soon as she saw me. The incident should be recorded in the surveillance camera for verification. This is the 2nd time this place treated me poorly, couple years ago I tried to have a flat tire repaired which I bougth from them couple months ago and service tried to charge me for the repair even after I presented the receipt. I'm never going back to this place and will let everybody in my community know how they treat minorities. There is a reason why this store have such a low rating. Shop somewhere else people.

Looking over some of the reviews here I share a similar horrible experience with the disgusting "customer service" people. I bought a pump that I ended up not needing and when I tried to get a refund, they said it was exchange only. I told them I had not used the item and did not need it. They then CUT THE BOX OPEN IN FRONT OF ME and showed me some dirt that was supposedly on the pump and said it was used. I spoke with the manager (unfortunately did not get his name, tall older slim gentleman with glasses) and he essentially insinuated that I was a liar, without directly using the word. He would not listen to any reason and robotically kept repeating "I don't sell used pumps" implying that this invisible dirt smudge was a result of my using the pump (which the box was never opened AT ALL until they cut it open at customer service). Like what? I was pretty much in shock from how horrid their customer service was. I even offered to take store credit because I spend (or used to spend) plenty of money at Canadian Tire. This is no way to treat a regular customer. So now I am stuck with an item I don't need, having wasted $320+tax that would have gone a long way to my kids Christmas presents. I've been a regular Canadian Tire customer for 20+ years and never have I ever had such a deplorable experience. Avoid this location at all costs, completely unprofessional and rude. If I could have rated 0 stars I would have.

One of the worst experiences i’ve ever had dealing with this store specifically. i bought a compressor from the store on nash. Unfortunately the employee there was not knowledgeable enough to give me the right compressor so i had gone to to return it to this location (i’ve been on retail for 3-4 years, it’s common that you can return items at a different store location) regardless of, i go the day after i buy the compressor to this location to return it. I can already sense the dirty looks i’m getting by walking in with a return. companies hate returns especially high ticket items ( don’t sell me a high ticket item, if your staff can’t give me the right information about that item)… causing me to return it. i bring it to the costumer service section where im met by the grinch who stole christmas. literally. she’s telling me that you cannot return this here and that you must go to the original store which i knew was a lie and she didn’t wanna deal with the truth so i called her out on it just to have her to turn and scream in my face. I told her “ im not here to argue, here’s my receipt, there’s my card can we return it or not? She said no and here manger backed her up. JUST TO GO TO THE NASH STORE AND THEY TELL ME THAT THIS LOCATION COULDVE RETURNED IT WITH NO PROBLEM. It’s crazy how their employees pick and chose who they decide to help and how they help. horrible staff, horrible management.

Well this could have been a very bad review but it ended being one of the best we had. Stop by on June 30th, we had a big list of items to get, got a cart but could not find a dehumidifier among other items we needed it and the frustration was kicking in. I believe it may of been a manager who I asked but she had a phone like thing trying to find the items but told us that it was new to her and she couldn’t find them and that was adding more frustration to us. We just moved to the area and were extremely tired from the move to begin with. As we were making our way out she finds us and yells out I found them. She was not just brushing as off. She tells us to get our cart back and directed us to were the dehumidifiers were. She was very helpful and definitely turn our experience around very quickly. Everyone in this store are extremely helpful and friendly. While paying there was one more item we forgot and as we were paying the cashier over heard and she said go get it I will wait, another cashier run over to assist to find it quicker. In the end we had 3 people helping us find speaker wire. Our cashier was super nice and took the time explain the rewards card etc. We just bought a house and I am sure there will be many more trips to this store. Thank you everyone that was working around noon that day. You guys were amazing. Thank you for the great experience.

I was very happy when they started building this Canadian Tire because it's close to where I live. Once it actually opened right from day one I was disappointed in the way that it was ran, management was and is till this day beyond poor. 90% of the time I went into this store I came out empty handed because they either didn't have it in stock even though it showed on the Canadian Tire app that they had it available or they couldn't find it just ridiculous. I'm in shock that Canadian Tire head office allows this to happen. I will personally never step foot in this store ever again, especially after the most recent genius thing that they came up with, they will never do a refund on anything you buy at this particular store at best case scenario they will exchange something but never do a refund no matter what, which just shocked me never have I ever heard of such nonsense that you can't return something for whatever the reason might be. Their customer service desk has the rudest and most ignorant people working there including the managers. Majority of the customer service employees and managers should either be terminated or moved somewhere that they don't deal with customers because it's a horrible experience especially if your dealing with them and have your children with you kids shouldn't ever have to see something like this 0 stars for this Store.

I called and spoke to Bill at customer service. I asked him if it were possible to set aside 3 items at the desk for my pregnant wife, as she was about to visit the store, and in a rush. Not willing to help a pregnant woman by putting 3 items aside for her to pick up. He said "perhaps" he could get someone to pick up one item and leave it at the front. But not three. He didn't even know what items I referred to as they could have been nearby. I expressed my dissatisfaction with Bill. He hung up. No apologies. Nothing. He did not say they were too busy. No explanation. No alternative methods offered. Update: I called Home Hardware and asked for the same items to be set aside for my wife as she was going by there on the way home. They were happy to serve. No hesitation. No reluctancy. My wife said they were a pleasure to deal with. Stark contrast to Canadian Tire. I called the number below BEFORE the automated system posted the following response from Canadian Tire. Spoke to a lady by the name of Tina. She said I should expect a call from the owners of the franchise store. It's been two days. Crickets. I called the number below for the second time today in redone to the post below. Still haven't heard an apology or any other correspondence from the REAL owners of this franchise store. Unbelievable!

New tire install took 4 hrs.. appointment at 2pm, got out of there at 6pm. The owner of this canadian tire is running a circus full of clowns. They didn't put my car in the bay until 245pm, at this point they asked me where my new tires were not realizing they had them in store. They then told me I lost my lock nut and then they found it. Then at 330pm (1.5 hrs into the appointment), they told me they screwed up and had 3 of the right tires but 1 was the wrong size so I'd have to come back another time. I looked at my car and I have three new wheels on and one off. I told them there is stock at the upper james canadian tire get someone to deliver it here. At this point, ~345pm, they sent someone out to go get the new tire, who I was told would be back at 445pm. I did hear one of the workers at one point say "doesn't he check the tires before bringing them in, where'd he even get them"... not realizing it was from their store Fast forward to 6pm when the tire is delivered and installed. No discount, paid in full. The personnel at the service desk and in the shop were all very nice, very apologetic, and did a decent job with the tools they were given. Whoever is responsible for management & logistics shouldn't quit their day job as I'm not sure other places would accept this quality of work.

The worst Canadian Tire location. Go somewhere else! I've had 2 standout experiences from this store and this store specifically compared to other Canadian Tire locations. Automotive: A few years ago I purchased a battery for my vehicle. They ended up giving me the wrong version battery for my vehicle despite confirmation and my mechanic had to retro-fit a new battery compartment to make it compatible. Another story, I ordered 4 steel rims for one of my vehicles and they ended up giving me 2 different sized rims. When I returned them the lady scanning the rims actually said 3 of the rims had different sku's! What the heck is going on at this store? Returns: I bought some Christmas lights and when I brought them home to test if they worked, they never turned on. I took them back but was denied a refund, only an exchange stating its their Christmas policy (the return policy on the receipt says otherwise). I took them to another Canadian Tire the next day and was able to get a full refund no questions asked. Avoid this store at all costs unless you want a headache. Although it's my local store, I'll be going out of my way from now on.

If it was for me, I would give this place minus stars. I booked an appointment for wheels alignment and arrived on time, but they told me they were running late and to leave my car so they could look at the problem and let me know tomorrow. After, I received no answer for the whole day until they told me to leave the car for tonight. The next day, I called them many times with no answer, and later, I called again and they answered. They told me that they do not have enough information in front of them. Once I arrived there, they told me that their system was down for today and I should come the next day. I patiently waited until the next day, and then once I called them, they didn't pick up the phone. When they did pick up the phone, they told me they couldn't take care of it for today. In the end, I asked them to put the tires back on the car to pick it up, and they told me they would leave the keys at customer service. At customer service, the lady was very rude to the point I have never experienced something so bad in my life. Do not deal with these people as they are unprofessional and lacklustre in the auto shop setting.

Don’t shop here. I am not a person to leave these type of reviews but I am CERTAIN the managers here are racist. Was returning an item that I didn’t need, lady wouldn’t let me return since I didn’t have a receipt…I said ok makes sense, that’s my loss. CAME BACK AFTER RECEIPT WAS FOUND, she still wouldn’t let me return it - saying box is open and that I can only exchange for same item…AFTER TELLING ME A DAY EARLIER I can return once receipt was found. Now here’s the racist aspect….the lady infront me LITERALLY RETURNED OPEN LIGHTS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME…I SAW THEM OPEN WITH MY OWN EYES WITHOUT ISSUE AND 0 QUESTIONS ASKED BY THE SAME MANAGER!!! I was like k im visibly brown/muslim I know what’s going on here. Noticed tons of these other reviews. Garbage store never come here also Walmart is literally cheaper and down the street.

Make up their own return policy. I attempted to return an item bought at another Canadian tire location 2 weeks ago, with receipt in hand, and was told I couldn’t return the item because it was bought at another store and on clearance at their store (despite the printed return policy on the receipt which indicates returns at “any Canadian Tire store”). When I contacted customer support by phone they indicated this was inaccurate and I should have been allowed to return the item, but that technically they couldn’t make the store return it because their stores are independently owned. I went to another store and they returned it no problem. Although this is my local store, I will never go back. Buyer beware. RESPONSE: Not interested in further follow-up. I already attempted to resolve the issue with your store to no avail.

I'm going to share my experience even though I'm not sure if these evaluations are helpful to customers. The worst return policy is, by far, that of Canadien Tire. On December 4th, I went to get some Christmas lights, but I ended up buying more than I needed, so on December 19 I went back to return them. Because I was one day late, they won't accept any refunds made after December 18th when I visit customer service. Now, the reason I'm making this claim isn't even related to the worth of the goods; rather, it has to do with the fundamentals of how they manage customer service, as opposed to other major retailers like HomeDepot, Costco, and Walmart, which accept returns with no questions asked. CANADIAN TIRE was awful at it. I won't be returning to them again. If I could give negative stars I would .

  • Pius Longpre

terrible experience, i highly recommend you go to a local mechanic rather than them and buy tires else where! i ordered a set of tires n rims two weeks back, and was told i would get a call in about 2 days telling me that they arrived. Three days later i gave them a call, and was told that i can come in whenever and that they were already in. First of all shouldve been a red flag. I come in the following week as ive been busy and was greeted with attitude from one of the senior mechanics i believe. Then i was informed that my tires are not in but rims were. As a fairly new driver i was highly disappointed and wouldn’t recommend anyone to visit the auto department. Perhaps dont tell customers that their product is in when its not and waste my time and money. 0 star fr

Unfortunately, yet again, I’ve ordered items for store pickup during a sale, it took the staff 4 days to go to the floor to pull the order, and by the time they get around to it, they are out of stock and cancel my order after the sale is over. This time, it was a relatively large black Friday order. When I went in today, as many local stores have tons of stock of the items I ordered in bulk, I was told they couldn’t help me and their inventory is always off on the website. Very very poor customer service, no help at all. Another local store was willing to help and now I have to drive to Dundas to get the product. This is happened too many times with no solution. I’ve had so many rain checks that I’m never called for. The service here is unfortunately very very poor.

Went today at noon, was returning something for the dogs they hated, csr on the desk barked at me, "no refunds on used items, can't you read your receipt?" Said what do I do if I don't want it? Was told "sell it on Kijiji or whatever" csr was red head, no makeup, mid 40s wearing a Leafs jersey .. and less than no personality. Am now stuck with useless stuff, never had any issues returning stuff before and will never shop here again, Rona is sooooo much better !!!!! And NO, I am not calling any STUPID 1-800 number either, I hate your store Update: went to the store in waterdown, no issues at all and they were lovely, but seems since I posted my review many more people have had issues also ... They need to fix the problems at the rymal store. I'll never be back

  • Fallon Clarke

I came in tonight around 7:30 to return two boxes of Christmas lights that I changed my mind on. The one set had a broken light when I pulled them out of the box, I told them that so they didn’t put them back on the shelf. The two women at the customer service desk were so unbelievably rude. Still not sure why. They said I could not return them, exchange only. I asked if I could get a different kind of lights, they said no, straight exchange only. I’ve never heard of such a thing at a Canadian Tire. I called Grimsby location and they said they would return them for me, no problem. They accept Christmas light returns until Dec 24th. Save yourself the hassle and go to the Queenston or Grimsby CT. The bad reviews speak for themselves at this location.

I don't usually do reviews but I felt like I had to with this one, I went to the Canadian tire auto centre today on rymal looking for some help with some atv tires that another company that I've been dealing with for 20years did me dirty and left water/mud/rocks in when they reseated it. I had the pleasure of meeting the franchisee when I was there who is also a fellow atv guy! The staff there went out of their way to help me out on a busy Sunday and didn't charge me a dime! When I returned with coffees and timbits they were extremely thankful!!! Alot of auto shops get a bad rep so thankfully their's people like this around to Balance it out! I'll be recommending them for now on and they just earned a loyal lifetime customer with me! Cheers!!!

  • Vesna Cernat

Absolutely bad customer service and awful return policy. Bought a product that ended up being bad quality. I tried returning it and they refused because the plastic bag that it was packaged in was open. I wasn't returning a product because I changed my mind but because it was completely bad quality and it was a waste of money. I left it at their counter because I did not want it back, it wasn't about getting the few dollars back but it's the principle. Canadian Tire should stand behind products that they sell but, unfortunately, they don't. Instead, they are very rude to their customers. Please don't bother replying with your automated message to contact the service center because I will not bother. I will never return to this store again.

  • A.P Matthews

The person who i dealt with at customer service was a completely unprofessional, rude and abhorrent person. I believe her name was Anne Marie. She refused to let me return a product claiming the packaging was defective, which is something i have never heard of! The product itself was never used but because the packaging was opened she claimed it was defective. She raised her voice at me when i asked why the return wasnt possible and was extremely rude telling me to return it to the Canadian Tire I originally bought the product from (which is also extremely strange as it is widely known you can return products at any location) Terrible location with rude staff, i recommend you shop at literally any other Canadian Tire.

  • S B

Do not bother taking your vehicle in for any repair! We brought our car and paid 70 dollars for an "assessment" which took 2 hours for no reason considering we mention to them the part might need replaced they told us they needed to order the part and would call us when it was in . After calling them multiple times with everyone saying someone will call back and finally speaking to someone 2 weeks later! We were told they couldn't get thr part and they will order it through a private dealer? We never got a call back they never followed up and we ended up having to take it elsewhere . What a waste of time considering we have young kids and I'm pregnant and needed my vehicle. Worst auto place I have ever dealt with!

  • Mohammed Al-Yazidi

I scheduled an auto service appointment for today at 8.00 am. I approached the main door at 7.53 am, but the rep pointed to his watch, indicating they would open at 8 am. Less than a min Later, another customer approached the door and the same rep opened the door and let him in.. The problem is that the rep was arguing and saying that he came to open the door for me . Are you serious? Another problem, before even approaching the front desk, he said the technician who should work on my car is sick and didn't show up today.. I just wanted to say that you guys need to invest in your employees, train them how to behave and communicate with customers effectively.

  • Nikky

Because I can't give zero stars!! This store is the worst!! Well 2nd worst, the worst one is upper James. To make it simple, don't ever buy anything here if you think you can get a simple return. Canadian tire has made sure they are an expert at stealing people's money and calling it store policy. Not to mention giving HORRID customer service, the lady stared at me for 30 seconds when I asked what kind of store doesn't return things? I went with an unopened unused untouched item AND A RECEIPT and they turned me away. Despicable. Never shopping here again and that's non negotiable! Canadian tire you are an absolute joke.

  • Tony DiTommaso

Buyer Beware Before purchasing any product at this store you should inform yourself of their return policy. As per their acting store manager on July 19, 2023, once you open the packaging and find the product to be defective or is not to your satisfaction you are not entitled to a refund or store credit. Even with the original receipt. They will gladly replace the item with another defective item. If it is not in stock at their store they will suggest you return it to another Canadian Tire store which may provide you with a store credit ??? This policy is unique to the Canadian Tire store at 2160 Rymal Rd E. Hamilton .

  • Balen Jalal

I refer to the them as old ladies to be recognized by superior management cause they refused to provide me their names. I visited today to return two items and they provided terrible customer service. The items were brand new, unused, and came in original packaging along with the receipt. It was just the packaging was unattached. They said whatever Canadian tire you bought from go back and return it there. I have been to many canadian tire stores and never been treated such a way. I will refuse to go back here. These people, the customer service and manager certainly lack customer service skills. Very disappointed

  • Maria Caucci

I did not have the best experience. Did curb side pick up. Called the number and chose the online pickup option... and it kept ringing and no answer. Then I called customer service. He said to go to the back and ring the bell. There was no bell that I saw. The doors were wide open.. called in to see if anyone was around, no one on site....called the phone number again.....no answer...Then called the office line option ....explained my situation. ..and they sent someone down. I only used the curb side as I have really bad knees...awaiting surgery. I am sure if I went in,it would have been different.

  • David V

I called this Canadian Tire to ask if they had 12 by 1.25 mm open end wheel nuts. The parts person said they had none all nuts had caps. Call up Canadian Tire in Grimsby and they said they had two packs in stock that they could see. I got there and was told they didn't actually have the packs. One trip wasted. That store told me Hannon had three packs. I call Hannon back and the same guy says yeah we have three packs of what you're looking for. The guy tried to lie to me and told me I had asked for performance nuts. Nothing of the kind. No apologies getting them from Amazon now far cheaper

  • Adam Higgins

I will not be going back to this location. They won't even honour their own flyer! I came in and tried to get a SodaStream Fizzi for $89.99 but was rung up at $99.99, and I brought the flyer to the cashier's attention, and was directed to customer service. I waited there for 45 minutes while they tried to find a manager, Bill, that could help. He explained to me that the item I was trying to buy was not in stock, but if I wanted, I could have a shiny new SodaStream Fizzi for $99.99. What a sham! He could not tell me what was physically different between the two items. Merry Christmas!

  • Alan Alejandre

Serious discrepancy in what the website shows they have in their inventory and what they are actually able to supply. I have tried to order two separate items in the past week, and both orders have been cancelled inexplicably with just an email saying the products are no longer available. You would think if they couldn't find the item they were supposed to have, or if it was damaged, someone would call and explain and offer a similar product as an exchange instead of this dismissal, but it seems that's too much to hope for. We'll be going to a different store from now on for sure.

This is my favourite CT store. Wonderful staff and great customer service. I went there few days ago and didn’t realize that the garden Center closes at 5pm. I was there at 6 pm but the manager opened the garden center, even knowing that I was just looking and not buying. Who does that? I went back today and bought a whole bunch of stuff from the garden center and the girl who works there is amazing! Probably the best customer service I’ve experienced in CT. She was helping me at the same time as she was patiently training her new colleague, and doing all of this with kindness.

  • Cole Coppendale

Absolute trash location. Bought a mini fridge on the 11th of December. Went to return it as I didn’t need it and never even plugged it in. Managers said they will NOT take it back as the box looked damaged. I laughed and said that’s how I bought it. Run your cameras. Spoke to head office and filed a formal complaint but seeing how both managers acted I’m sure the owners are just like them or worse. All I asked for was an in store credit. Had everything back in original packaging and receipt. Still a joke. You 2 managers should be fired!

  • Ozzie Wilson

On Oct 23, 2023 I went to the Rymal location to purchase 3 tarps that were on sale and return a $7.00 unopened package of auto bulbs. I spent at least 10 mins answering questions and being told there’s nothing they can do because “no receipt” Asked for a manager, to no avail. And I feel she needs serious customer service training. I live 5 mins from this location and will not darken their doors even if they’re giving something away. The $7.00 wasn’t as important to me as it was for the store. Very poor customer relations.

I went to the automotive service repair part for an oil change on October 10th, why is my car telling me the “Engine oil level is low” on December 4th I needed more engine oil and I did check myself there was little to no oil in my car.they didn’t put enough oil or barely oil this could had damaged my car engine and I was charged almost 100$ for an oil change this is ridiculous and absurd and your mechanics/technicians needs to be trained properly.Be careful and be aware of going to Canadian Tires for an car Oil change.

After a dispute in price on my vehicle (which I had told the manager on the phone I would pay the price I was quoted if they can explain to me where I was wrong), I was talked over on the phone, and in person Tony at the front desk held his hand up to me in a “stop talking” gesture, and when I asked for my keys he said “I hope we never have to serve you again”. What’s worse, auto management defended him and said he did nothing wrong. Joke of a place and it doesn’t seem like I’m the only one who realizes this.

Very kind staff! My boyfriend and I were rung out by a kind lady who I believe was named Abby. We had a large amount of gift cards (8) that we wanted to use and she was very kind and reassuring. Maintaining a smile on her face while she rung us out. Thank you! Other times visiting many employees asked how they could help us, guided us to the aisles we needed instead of just pointing and provided a great amount of information to answer any of our questions. Definitely recommend this Canadian Tire (:

  • Mackenzie Hare

If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely the worst customer service. I bought a vacuum from a different Canadian Tire got it home and realized it was the wrong one. Came to this location to return and was only offered store credit even though the vacuum I was trying to return was never opened and purchased less than 30min prior! Associates and Store Manager gave an “oh well” attitude and dismissed my complaints. Will never purchase anything from a Canadian Tire again.

  • Tammy Wilson

No one knew where the item was we (previously ) looked up to make sure it was instock at the time . it stated 11 in that store ! . After being sent outside twice then to the wrong aisles we were finally told they were in the back . the employee came out with one Bag ! with a hole in it ...he wanted us to wait while he taped it up ..we had asked for four bags with no holes..as you can see on our way out for the third & final time . It wasn,t even that busy ...

  • Colin Villeneuve

It seems like this Canadian Tire just doesn't have it's stuff together. Long lines for check outs, never enough cashiers, management don't seem to want to help their employees and the returns take so long, and are understaffed, its hardly worth it. Their system just seems unnecessarily complicated compared to Home Depot. The employees themselves are friendly and helpful to the best of their abilities and is the only reason the store gets 3 stars.

  • Dawn Blain

One star is even being too generous! This was probably one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I went in to buy some spray paint and was trying to get assistance from an employee and nobody was willing to help!! I attempted to ask 5 different employees walking the floor and one employee actually gave me the time out sign with her hands when I asked her for assistance - unbelievable.

  • helmand safi

Don’t shop here! Bad customer service. Very disorganized to the point where you can’t go through the isles. No one is ever available to help you and when you do find someone , they seem extremely annoyed. Did I mention bad customer service? I was told that the product I bought was specifically designed for my vehicle, yet it doesn’t fit. They told me to make it fit or throw it out ! No refunds.

  • Zaid Alshaikh

Iv been in different branches of Canadian tires for years . I have their master card , you can call me loyal customer . Most of the team are doing good with some exception. But to be honest i never seen a really good customer service and high attitude like the team of the Rymal road branch , And their manager is awesome and excellent leader . Many Thanks for you Matthew and your Team!

  • Vince Scaini

Went to this store because the people at another store without inventory said they had plenty in stock at this location. There was no inventory on the shelf. The staff at this location were too busy setting up a display instead of helping customers. Finally got someone to dig out inventory after 15 minutes of "sorry we'll be with you shortly ". I must have shown up at the wrong time.

  • susan fletcher

I gave 4 stars because an employee actually looked up on his phone to tell me which aisle I could find deck cleaner. This is a huge store and it's not always easy to find someone to help locate what you need without wandering needlessly. I never did find outdoor chair covers because they don't carry them in the store.. But they did sell tons of chairs and chair cushions.

  • stoggio jones

Terrible business practices. They said they don't do price adjustments anymore. I was trying to match THEIR OWN price on a product I had bought less than 2 weeks ago. The product was still in the return policy and I was made to bring the product (still unused) back to the store, return it and repurchase it to get the refund on the significant price change. NEVER AGAIN!!!

  • Johnny Munden

Tried calling the store 5 times to check stock, could never get anyone to answer the phone. Decided to drive the hour on a Sunday afternoon. When I called the 5 times the recording on the phone said they were opened till 6. I showed up at 5:02 and was refused entry, they close at 5, their dedicated phone line is wrong. Wasted 2 hours of driving and fuel.

  • M I

We were waiting in line at the Service Counter and a young man, on his way out with bags in hand and his dog, stopped and helped us. You have an amazing employee there!! Most would just call it a day and leave. He even took the time to ask us questions on the product we purchased. Thank you very much for your kind, prompt service.

  • Nathan Meyer

Originally I was annoyed that Canadian Tire had an inventory issue on an online order that I made. However one of the managers, Tammy, went above and beyond to get me the products that I wanted in a timely manner. She also dropped the price down for the inconvenience, without me having to ask, she just offered. Thanks again Tammy

  • Peter Money

All around InCREDIBLE experience today!!! Picked up a hitch for my car - after a very, very patient parts employee showed me the ropes the one of the mechanics came out, offered to help, as I was on my hands and knees and was VERY knowledgeable! Thanks SO much all! Just like a Canadian Store should be!!! ✌️ …

  • J Can

Spent more then $600 on new tires. Lost all air in 3 days. I got pretty much told it was my fault and that I blew it off (like I wouldn't know if I run over something). Only drove the car 50 kilometers since I put them. I also purchase the insurance package but they don't seemed keen on replacing it. Worse experience ever.

  • hady hamade

Worst return policy ever. I bought a dewalt charger which was defective, found another one on amazon for quarter the price, they refused to exchange it because the original packaging doesn’t look unopened. Everything you buy I guess is final sale since they give you a hard time to return it. Never buying from there again.

  • meghan taylor

Went into Canadian Tire with my mom to find a heating blanket, we didn't find one BUT Sebastian was a fantastic help and went above and beyond to find one for us. He was so sweet and helpful and we truly felt happy that someone did their best to try and find a product for us. Thank you so much! Amazing customer service.

  • Sommer Walkins

We came looking for a bike for my son, this was our 4th stop and finally we had the best service of all the places we went. Tianna was so great, she must have gotten 7 or 8 bikes for my son to try while helping another person as well. Great experience at this Canadian Tire. The customer service was exceptional.

  • Amin Alvi

I entered in ask the worker if they have electric driven chair she said no we dont. Usually most of the shopping centers keep for sick or handicap person. This is the only time at well stablished store dont keep. And it is the canadian tire rymal road east. So i returned back. I got severe back pain.

  • Rob Cooper

Came to get a puncture in my tire fixed, i had bought the tires at Canadian Tire in November and paid for the warrenty. Turns out the puncture was not repairable and so they had to replace the tire for free, but also because my other tires were worn down they replaced all four tires for free.

  • Doug

Ordered 2 sets of garland online. The lady at the desk wasn't much help, I had to wait while she finished texting. It took a while to get my order and I guess I should have checked them closer as they were 2 different garlands. Pretty much the same but one was a Carolina and the other wasn't.

  • Alyssa Kan

I'd like to thank the two mechanics in the shop today for the quick service and the manager at the service desk for him being really helpful as I am just new to getting a car. He talked me through and quoted tires and recommended service for car. Defiantly recommended

  • Dayna Liddle

Had my car towed here when I broke down on Thursday. I don't live in the city and was to be driving my daughter back to University this weekend. The staff were super friendly, fast service and the bill came in less than they had estimated!!! Definitely recommend.

  • Lisa Burn

First time in this store, friendly cashier and super helpful when I had to wait for a manager to deal with a gift card issue. Manager was also very pleasant and had a nice little conversation while she got my card working. Will come to this location again!

  • Thomas Pereira

Bought a shower cartridge for 62 bucks turns out it was defectived and didn't work properly . Tried to return it no return policy. So I'm down 62 bucks . Went to home depot bought the same one works great . This location is the worst in the city .

  • TayTay

Horrible customer service. Didn’t tell us that different Canadian tires have different sales. Sent us to a different store only to find out the item wasn’t on sale and they wouldn’t price match or help us. Would give zero stars if I could.

  • john simpson

Lots of good prices and some great deals but some 75-80% off deals are a little crazy. Like a ratchet set worth $100 will say regular price $399.00 on for $99.99 when it was only worth $100 to begin with, same with the hole saw drill bits.

  • Marc Morcy

Went to go exchange a product that didn't work properly and they would not accept it because it was opened. How can you tell if a product doesn't work properly without opening it? There logic is beyond stupid and I will never return.

  • Wayne Hurley

Aisles were overstocked with excess items. Made it hard to get around. Employees arguing over water on the floors. No markers showing slip hazard. Hard to believe they just advertised a grand reopening. Disorganized at best.

  • Jerry Bilous

This is the biggest, most well stocked Canadian Tire outlet I've visited in recent years. Garden center was moved to the parking lot to accommodate many, many annuals and perennials. Good selection. Great prices...

  • Rick Digiantomasso

They are the worst Canadian tire around. Don't answer the phones, rude, and returns are impossible. I was happy thinking one was in the neighborhood. I'm done I will drive to center mall when I'm desperate.

  • Chris Kirilo

Usually well stocked. Could use more staff but everywhere is like that. Still Abit over priced and they don't warranty their tools like they used to. Miss the days of decent customer service and care.

  • Robert Pouliot

The store has been repaired and well stocked. People are friendly and helpful...would give it a five-star, but I find the aisle tight and hard to move around with the amount of stock on the floor...

  • Isaiah Green

It's an amazing store, with amazing staff that will go above and beyond to try to help you find what you're looking for or if they don't currently have it then it'll be something similar.

  • mohammad tarek yassin

Zero Stars… Poor customer service, rude, disrespectful, and impolite! Terrible experience couple times! Canadian Tire is good, but don’t visit this location. Shame on you Canadian Tire!

  • Canadian Ryan

They block cell phone signals so you can't look anything up. No stock on sale items or cannot be found and stupid checkout area is the only way out of the store

  • Eddie Marciano

The return policy of this location is not as good as the other canadian tire stores. A couple of times, this location gave me a hard time returning some items.

  • Josh Kirk

Would not return a product that was sold broken. Told us it was our problem. Had to deal with Bill and Nancy. They were down right rude and disrespectful

  • ABADAss Adventures

This Canadian Tire is great. The people were so friendly and helpful. Especially Lucas. He is so nice and charming. He helped us with all our needs.

  • Matt Little

Good selection of stuff. But like most places nowadays the staff ruined the experience by treating all the customers like thieves. So ya it sucked.

  • mike

Warning do not use this Canadian tire. They will rip you off and not let you return your items I’m not surprised it already has so many bad reviews

  • Atom D

I think I'm going to stop shopping at Canadian Tire until the get rid of the dam credit peddler at the door. It's not 1970 lose the pushy salesman.

  • Eugene S

This location refuses to return any “electronic” items, no matter if they work or not. They do exchanges only. It might as well be a final sale.

  • ross minardi

I’ve been going at Canadian tire for years and they’ve improved dramatically with friendly staff and good customer service and decent prices.

  • Morgan Hill

Saturday so, younger staff. Friendly, helpful, and respectful. The isles are a little skinny, though. Some good food outside the store.

  • Stephanie McGarry

Even though they didn't have what I was looking for, they provided me with good suggestions where I can find it. Thanks …

  • Jiggs Casey

A quick in and out, store is big and well laid out. Asked someone for help and he pointed me in the exact right position.

  • Dave Hamilton

There's a lot of item that you need and want. Big store! And they are having their grand re opening. Nice store!

  • Daniel Vazquez

I love Canadian Tire. It's my favorite store. People are so helpful and nice. You can find anything there.

  • Alex Capasso

Store is messy. Oil change took twice as long as it was supposed to. Will not be returning to this store.

  • Ivan Mermejo

Good store for everything, little bit price but handy Returns are little bit pain sometimes

  • Kim Lecuyer

Purchased a pool and quickly learned the return policy was garbage, so I returned the pool.

  • Chris Tassone

Product was good ( paint and supplies). Service at this location was less then 5 stars.

  • Hank Knecht

Didn't have everything I was looking for. The store was already going to winter stuff.

  • Pete

Poor customer service, a lot of students who don't know how to work :(
