tl;dr: They don't answer their phone, they removed items from an already-confirmed ready-for-pickup purchase, and they falsely said I'd picked up an order when I hadn't. A day and a half of misadventure for $20 of filters. tolstoy: Ordered a box of kitchen blower fan filters and some grass seed on Friday Morning at noon, all items were in stock. Did not receive prompt confirmation via email or cell. I was concerned, so I attempted to call Dundas location - if I press 0 as recommended to speak to rep, I get dead air. Attempted to call again - if I hold on the line, I get endless ringing. Received confirmation at 1pm ish (hour later). As evening approached, wanted to see if the items would be available for pickup. Attempted to call, same problem as before. Received notice at 8am the next day that ready for pickup. At 10:30am Saturday, as we were getting ready to go pick up... was notified that item which was the main reason for the order was removed from the order(replacement oven vent fan filters)... disappointing since it was in stock when I'd ordered and I'd already been notified it was ready for pickup. Cancelled order at 10:50am. Received notice that *part* of my order was cancelled (I wanted to cancel the whole thing). Tried to call again, tried both methods. Same failure. 20 minutes later at 11:12am, I received an E-receipt notifying me that I'd purchased the other items! Reviewing the order online, it said I'd picked them up! Checked my bank balance and sure enough it showed 2 purchases on my account, one for $50 including the unavailable item, and then one for $30 lacking the unavailable item. No notification of any cancellations went to my email. Attempted to call repeatedly. Same problem. Attempted to tweet to @CanadianTire. Twitter went down just after they (eventually) replied... which isn't really their fault but still is a continuation of this comedy of errors. Finally, tried calling the Canadian Tire main office at around 2:30pm. Eventually got through after a long time on hold. Helpful staffer spent a long time on hold trying to get in touch with Dundas location and says they got me a refund ("a" refund? There were purchases on my account). I asked how I can confirm that. She said there is no confirmation process. I will not be receiving a receipt or email. I am to check on my credit card balance in 3-5 business days. And that's the story of how it took $80CAD and a day and a half for Canadian Tire Dundas to fail to sell me a furnace filter or ever answer their phones. I'm not sure what, exactly, is wrong with Canadian Tire, but my nearest estimate is "everything".
This review is specific to the auto service, stay away: I had some good experiences with the Dundas location in the past, but over the past few months, things have been really bad. Incompatible parts, several wrong diagnostics, and even once they changed the wrong axle, had to go back to do the other one, and the best they could do was “discount the labor” the second time around. Every mechanical problem that I went to Canadian Tire to “fix”, had to be redone, either at Canadian Tire on a separate visit, or somewhere else. Twice I went back because the “fix” or part was faulty, and once because they fixed the wrong thing. Every time I had to pay extra money to get things put right. On 2 separate occasions, I went back to this branch to fix issues that turned up because of their previous “repair”, they deemed it “unrelated”, and I had to fix it at my own expense. I’m currently very suspicious that they might be breaking things/not fixing them properly, to have me come back. I raised some of these concerns to the auto department manager, even after other mechanics told me subsequent issues arose from faulty/unfit parts or repairs, but was brushed off and no attempts were even made to resolve my concerns. I had previously decided to never return to this branch, or Canadian tire in general, but had to go back this time because I was advised by my new mechanic to go back because the part previously installed was incompatible with my vehicle and had caused additional problems, so I had to come back for them to fix their work. I still had to pay almost $600 to get things back to almost normal. 3 days later, same issue is back for an “unrelated” cause. On top of all that, service advisor on the front counter/phone (same person) is almost always aggressive, impatient, unwelcoming, hurried, and extremely rude.
This was my first time visiting the new store. I went in to buy a wreath stand. I had looked it up on line and although it usually shows what aisle the item is in, this time it didn't. When I got to the store I saw why. It was in complete disarray. Boxes blocking the aisles half opened, some merchandise spilling out. There was one girl named Amanda dealing with 2 other people. She was looking something up on her phone and I waited for a bit but then just showed her the picture quickly on my phone and asked where I could find that item. She waved and said "somewhere in those boxes." After she finished with her customers she came back to me and started looking in the boxes for my item. She made a rude remark about how I had "gotten up in her face". She eventually found the item, tossed it on top of a box and said "there you go" and walked away. As I was leaving the store she shot me a dirty look. I worked in customer service for years and you should never treat a customer this way. Even if a customer is being rude to you and shouting (which I wasn't being either) you just excuse yourself and get someone else to help. This is a tough time for everyone and for many people living alone this might be their only human interaction. Someone already feeling anxious and stressed is only going to feel worse after this. Maybe she was having a bad day but I don't like anyone talking to me that way especially at a store where I am going to be giving them my money. There were two other clerks who were very pleasant and apologized for the mess. This Amanda is obviously not a good person to be dealing with the public.
Brought my car to this CT auto service garage, because my car wouldn’t start immediately, and because my starter was still under warranty with Canadian Tire. They kept the car overnight and was told they “couldn’t find anything wrong.” I was charged for the inspection. Fine Ok. Then, less than 1 week later, my car wouldn’t start AGAIN and so I got it towed here overnight and used the key-drop off service.. Next morning they said they said they still didn’t know what was wrong (word for word). No suggestions or solutions given. Nothing. Since my CT starter was under their warranty, I asked them to change starter in hopes for any solution. It started fine to leave the shop. Next morning, wouldn’t start. Now became a constant issue and my car is in worse condition. SO I brought it to my original mechanic further away and they said the issue is the starter.. TLDR, don’t come here with actual car issues.. even if it’s under warranty. I paid for NOTHING but stress. Friendly but unknowledgeable people.. I contacted service and am still waiting on a response, so I’m posting this review to share my experience.
have been supporting this location for over 10 years have been proud to support a local community establishment but have noticed a steady decline in the last couple of years specifically in the automotive counterinsurgency services I have one particular individual I believe his name is Dylan every time I'm in there it is a challenge and a struggle to get what I'm looking for I feel as though I am an inconvenience to provide my business and today was the final straw when I was given attitude when i asked a question. I simply sent thanked him for his time and departed. He is someone who claarly is unhappy with his own life and no longer should be handling the counter. As a business you should really take a look at how you handle your customers if you want to survive in an industry and an environment where competition is right around every corner. I will not be back
Nothing much wrong with the store and selection and its staff are always friendly, but it gets 1 star for having so many items in the tool department behind glass and a lack of people to help you access them. Had to wander around looking for what I wanted as there were no staff around. Finally a guy in the paint dep't told me where to find it. Sure enough, $25 safety glasses are behind glass. Pressed the button five times over more than 10 minutes, and no one came to help me. This was about the fifth time I've done this, to boot. Five employees standing at the front of the store as I walked out (ordering safety glasses from Amazon on my phone as I did). They protected their products from shoplifters, I guess, but one would think the point was to actually sell products to people who want them.
Went in on Saturday as my tire had a puncture was told I couldn’t be seen that day due to employees calling in sick but was able to book an appointment following day. With appointment booked and my car goes in was told 45 minutes would be needed, no big deal. After waiting two hours and listening to the employees at the desk complaining how they don’t want to be there my car is finally finished. They tried charging me for a repair when I bought all 4 of my tires from Canadian Tire less than a year ago with a replacement advantage warranty. Then told the valve to my tire was broken when air had only been put in once and never an issue, so I pay for it just to get home and see the cap to the tire wasn’t even placed on my tire. Refuse to use this garage ever again.
My car was serviced in the auto service here. The younger male behind the counter named Joe gave outstanding customer service (I believe he is the manager?). His knowledge, ability to communicate effectively, and patience is something I've never seen at an auto service. The older men behind the counter wanted to charge me $118/hr to inspect my brakes. THANK GOD Joe came around the corner because he corrected everything and said its ONLY $20 FOR A BRAKE INSPECTION!! Don't deal with the old guys behind the counter, they'll rip you off. I waited for my car to be serviced and could overhear Joe talking to the other customers. Absolutely deal with him if you can, he knows cars inside and out and will give you the best deal he can. I highly highly recommend!!
I am done with all Canadian tires STORES. I understand when a store does a mistake while pricing a product as they are too many items to track. This store has done it 3 TIMES with me. So this message goes to every person who shops here if you see a tag on an item 15% or 20% or whatever price tag once you reach the cashier make sure it is discounted or you will end up paying the full price. The best part sometimes they tell you it's not on sale so I go back and get the Tag and show it to them and they say tag is on the incorrect item, who's mistake is this? They dont even honor price they just say sorry about that. Thank you Canadian Tire but I am done shopping in any of your stores.
one friend of mine wanted to buy an item but a couple days later found out her order got cancelled followed by a phone call that the item is in fact available and that their (canadian tire) computer had a glitch which caused the sales associate to cancel the order. this is not a good move to pull on people who have insufficient funds in their credit card account to pay twice for the order just to receive an item fast all due to a canadian tire computer glitch because those unfortunate people will have to wait until a refund is posted to their credit card account before they can order again. this place would have been better if the store can open for in person shopping
Auto service is Excellent on all fronts. Customer service, management, diagnosis and maintenance/service. I ONLY go to the Dundas location because I know I will be treated professionally and my vehicle will be properly taken care of. That can't be said for all Canadian Tire Locations unfortunately. The Dundas Auto service department is managed and run by 2 pros Joe and Jim. Thanks for being a reliable, honest shop. P. S. Upper management I hope you know the excellent employees you have in the Auto Department and compensate them accordingly. Good help is near impossible to find these days and other places are willing to pay top dollar for superior talent.
Bought "Miracle-Gro Cactus Potting Soil" at this store and like all the other reviews online, it has fungus gants!! We tried to return the opened bag in-store (because it only comes out/hatched after the soil is wet enough like watering and there is enough warmth and air), got denied first because it is opened. How am I supposed to know the soil is contaminated without using it?! Okay, got store credit back at the end but I am not satisfied because it is a quality issue. Was told can exchange the same thing through phone calling customer service but why would I exchange sth clearly contaminated with sth clearly contaminated???
This new CTC store is huge and and all isles are itemized and listed on signage above shelve. Lots of sales, the day I was there 08/24/2023. Friends staff on hand, and assistance if required. Got everything on my list and more. On this day, we are very tired and beat . Cashier was pleasant and accommodating, bagged all my goods up and I was on my way. Before going into store the “Hot Dog Lady” in the cart, my wife got the BBQ Hot Dog on a toasted bun I ordered the Octoberfest Sausage on a toasted sesame bun The lady put mustard on my sausage (absolutely delicious). Wife’s hot dog was good as Well managed store! I’m
This review specifically pertains to the auto department. We showed up and asked if they had any availability to replace our flat tire. Were told that the soonest they could see us was in 10 days time. It seems they do not take any emergency walk-ins. Furthermore, we were advised incorrectly twice on parts to buy to fix/replace ourselves. We ended up calling CAA, who switched it out for us on the spot in about 10 minutes, right in front of the Canadian Tire auto bays. I’ve never been to an auto shop that doesn’t do emergency repairs on the spot. I find this quite embarrassing on Canadian Tire’s behalf.
I haven't had any car service work done there yet, but the store is bright, clean, well laid out, and the staff seemed quite friendly. I popped in to buy a couple of Christmas items they had on special and when I couldn't find them I asked an employee, and he came and moved a big cart that was blocking the product I wanted to get. Nice young fella. Even though it was Christmas, it wasn't insanely busy, so it was still easy to find stuff. I think a lot of Canadians have forgotten how cool Canadian Tire is for buying presents at Christmas time. Remember folks... Walmart is not always the answer!
This is a relatively large Canadian tire with a good selection. I used to think they have equipment like treadmill on display but there is none. so if may like to go to their website to shop for those. the fact that it is a larger store makes social distancing very easy to practice. There is hand sanitizer at the entrance but you know it is a good practice to have your own so you use had sanitizer before and after taking on and of the mask. Furthermore, I notice a staff was not wearing mask that may be relate to their condition and may be the company shall exempt her from customer facing duty.
Above any other Canadian Tire in the area they know where everything is in the store. The older workers have this store memorized it seems, I have always been able to walk up to them and instantly be directed to the right isle. I don't know how they managed to find such awesome employees, but this is one of the best Canadian Tire experiences in Ontario. They always have great clearance sales on things you actually need. I'm a little bit biased on this one, I have very fond memories of shopping here 25 years ago with my grandparents who are now gone. This store will always be special to me.
I want to say thank you to the excellent staff in the tire center. I brought my son's bicycle to have two tire tubes replaced that I had purchased in the store. I was told that they normally don't replace bike tires but they would try to help us out. I was greeted with a cheerful phone call this morning saying the bike was ready. When I retrieved it and asked what I owed, the pleasant employee said that we owed nothing. He was genuinely pleased to offer the repaired bike back to my 5 year old who was so excited. It was truly an enjoyable customer service experience - thank you!
After receiving a package from this store, I contacted them to express how much over-packaging was involved. The box was 10x larger than necessary and the non-fragile item I ordered was wrapped in bubble wrap, with more than 20ft of paper wrapped around that. It was silly. Unfortunately, my order was two parts. When I received the second part more than 2 weeks later, I expected to see at least some progress. Nope - the same issue occurred despite management saying they had received my message. I ordered from Cdn Tire because I hate Amazon's over-packaging, but this was worse!
Had a horrible experience in this store tonight. Stood at the auto desk / battery area waiting for help. Stood there for over 15 mins. When an "employee" final appeared, it wasn't to help us. He saw 2 young cute girls come in the door and decided to ignore the line of people and only assist the girls. They decided to go out to the parking lot to assist them further. I ended up driving to Waterdown to make my purchase. The manager said nobody else was available to work the parts desk.100 thumbs down for the Dundas location. You should be ashamed of your staff
Very good customer service! My tire blew and they were honest that they were pretty busy but will do my van as quickly as they can. When I phoned to find out about my van. I just happened to mention that I had an alergic reaction and had taken bendryl just 1 but was tired. When I finally came to get my van. I was waiting outside for my husband to arrive to pay. Would you believe the nice man came outside to find out how I was feeling. I truly appreciate his thoughtfulness and wonderful customer service. I feel bad that I never got his name.
Reasonably large selection and stock levels, given that it's an oldish store, not a giant warehouse-like space. Staff are not in-your-face, but are accessible and helpful. Larger/bulky items are often at an associated warehouse, which is not trivial to find, but nearby (just ask). Not much in the way of construction materials, though OK for tools and smaller parts (connectors, plastic pipe fittings, minor reno parts). Vehicle repair seems competent and honest, though it almost always seems to involve a wait at the service desk.
Excellent automotive service. I had to replace a rubber oil cooler line on Toyota Venza with a stainless steel one to prevent accidental rupture (a known issue on some of Toyota/Lexus V6 engines). Originally, I got a call from the Automotive department saying that they could not do it due to the extremely tight space. I though that I would have to take it to the Toyota dealership. When I came back to pick the car, the line was replaced. Greg did it; he had to modify a tool to do it. Thank you so much to Greg and the team!
Ordered one can of plastidip, took about 3 hours before order was ready, then called ahead to store to ask if I didnt have a car if I could pick up at the doors, i was told yes, i walked over and was told to stand in the parking lot and talk to a middle eastern woman who was serving the cars. I approached this woman and requested when she had time to come visit me as I had an order for pick up. Ive been standing in a busy parking lot dodging cars backing in and out and being ignored. This isnt safe or effecient.
I have my tires stored at Canadian Tire in Dundas.Spring and Fall I have them charged. This fall I was given a call for surgery for the coming week with a six week recovery period. This would take into the second week of December. I called CT and explained my situation and asked if I could have the tires done soon . I was given an appointment a couple days before surgery.Although they were booking into the third week of November they were able accommodate me and make this one less thing to worry about.
Recently visited the store and experienced a prolonged wait of 30 minutes at the tire center before someone assisted me. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I was informed that the person whom know what I need had already left by 5 PM, prompting a suggestion to call back tomorrow for assistance. Additionally, I observed a scarcity of staff in the aisles available to help customers, and I noticed that the prices of the products are notably higher compared to the same items in other stores of the same chain.
I called on short notice to ask about vehicle rustproofing. The young man on the phone, Kyle, was courteous and efficient. He said they could take me right away. One of their technicians, Eric, did the work on the car. I spoke with him about a concern I had and the product. Eric was engaging, friendly and helpful. He did an excellent job applying the rustproofing. I will be bringing our other car over for treatment also. Helpful, friendly, fast and reasonably priced. Can't ask for more than that!
This is a brand new store recently relocated from Dundas to west Hamilton/ Dundas. The store is well laid out, clean, neat with friendly helpful staff ... This just may be come my "go to" Canadian Tire ! Note to management.... You should reach out to peeps who leave both positive and negative reviews... after all someone spent time to informed Google of you location and othe details. This "note to management " comment is not specially directed at this CT store.
Been there 3 times and they never had the bigger size of the world's best cat litter which is a better deal than the smaller size. I had to buy 2 of the smaller size which costs 4 bucks more for the same amount as the bigger size because of their bad inventory. Also, the cashier forgot to scan my triangle card to load the $14 coupon that I could've collected. They also were out of smaller size propane for the BBQ that I purchased from them. Awful inventory.
This is another Dundas store that is difficult for me to evaluate objectively. It was the Cdn Tire of my childhood, so it is full of fond memories. Be aware that this is not a very large store. However, its stock is still very good, it is conveniently located and the service is excellent (good service seems to be a characteristic of Dundas stores). UPDATE: This store has now moved to University Plaza. It is now a much larger store. Service is still good.
My recent visit to Canadian Tire #027 was nothing short of a disappointment. Despite clear evidence of a pricing error on a product, the staff refused to acknowledge it promptly. The lack of apologies for the confusion was disheartening, and the overall customer service left much to be desired. I have had far better experiences at other Canadian Tire locations across the country. I will submit a complaint letter to the General Manager of this location.
First I want to say this Canadian Tire is the best! Today I needed a signal bulb replacement. They found one. Then I asked the manager if someone can install it. He had no one,but managed to go out of his way to find someone to do it. Eric is the Shop Manager. I didn't know at first. He was so very nice to me. So professional and kind. Even chatted for awhile. Thanks again for the best service. Always appreciated from all of you once again!!! Jackie
I just wanted to say that you guys are doing great with the new normal!! I had to call the store and place an order and the customer service was fantastic, they took care of me right away, as well the line up for the curb side pick up was long, but we didn't wait... cause the staff was hustling and keeping things moving! You guys are doing a great job navigating through all this upset, and providing us with all the things we need!!! High Five!!!
I called this evening spent over 25 minutes on hold... finally gave up with service and went to customer service... that took over 35 rings. Taylor told me I was on hold because service closed at 5 and I could have spent all night on hold. When I asked why it wasn't clear or why my call wasn't answered she was dismissive and said leave your review... doesnt care that a potential customer is unhappy... will not use this store ever
This is specifically for the auto repair shop. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Had a flat tire, donut on car - asked gentleman if they could look at my tire to see if it could be repaired. He said it would be four weeks before they could LOOK at it. Just to LOOK at the tire would take four weeks. Wouldn’t walk out and look at it. Lousy customer service. Do yourself a favour and go to Beverly Tire in the same plaza.
I went in looking for an automotive part and couldn’t find it myself. So I went and stood at the auto desk for 15 mins, no employees in sight and no bell/buzzer to get someones attention. I took another look for this part and then went to power tools and the selection was poor and over priced for what they did have. I’m very disappointed, Canadian Tire used to be a well stocked, very dependable and friendly store. Now… sad
Visited this Canadian Tire from out of town. Had some bolts come loose under my vehicle while driving down the QEW and rattling under my car, we didnt have any of our tools to fix the issue. Carl & Jacob from automotive took a look and refastened the loose bolts without charge or any hassle! We were very appreciative to be treated with such excellent customer service to an already stressful situation. Highly recommend!!
Had a problem with my car battery for the second time but still under warranty. The person I was dealing with ( unfortunately don't remember his name ) was extremely helpful and understanding. Replacing the battery for the third time seemed kind of pointless, so instead I have received a full refund. Went to a different place and purchased a different brand battery and that solved the problem, no issues anymore. Thanks.
Small store true, but I definitely like the owner/operator family owned personal touch you get here. Also, Carl should be paid more. He is the heart and soul of the service department and has helped me over the last 10 years from brakes to batteries to etests and more. Great service department, and i dont like any mechanical service departments from big business...but here you still get treated nice with fair prices.
The guys at the front counter are great always happy and polite. I trust them with my muscle car the mechanics always go by the book and never seem to cut corners. They explain everything to you in full detail and charge you what they quote you(even if the job takes a bit longer). One thing customers often forget is that their work is guaranteed right across Canada! What more can you ask for! 2 Thumbs Up! Barry
They need to replace the clearance items to a spot somewhere in the store.... Right now they have placed it behind the cashier in a corner. Which means you don't see it until your in line and then you have to leave the line to go check it out by which time you come back, you have to go to the back of the line all over again, all so you can browse the clearance . Who's the genius who thought of that?
Went in to go get a car problem check out and we were able to get a same day appointment. The staff were incredibly helpful and quick at determining and fixing the issue. While waiting for the car, we browsed the store. The floor staff were very pleasant and offered assistance. Although we didn't purchase anything, they still wished us a good day on our way out. Overall, great customer service!
Best Canadian Tire around. The staff are so friendly, the shelves are always stocked, and the service is great! I find there is a different working environment there because every employee will ask you (whether a it’s you passing them or them passing you), “hi, how are you?” Or they greet with a smile. It’s a really great store. I drive from east mountain just for their customer service!
Clean, easy to find product and friendly staff. The new place is a lot cleaner, brighter and fresher. The cashier's a super friendly and even when it is busy there isn't really a long wait. Edit. Even after few years of it being open it's still easy to find things also like the fact the dry the products on the website have the aisle that is in, making it really easy to find.
AMAZING service at Dundas location. EXTREMELY helpful staff, especially Aaron. Online ordered for curb side pick up and received my order within ONE HOUR! I drove 30 minutes out of my way just to shop here. I would not order or shop at any other location. Very efficient curbside pick up set-up. This store and staff have proven themselves to be worthy of 5 stars. Thank-you.
I took my car for tire swap but when I got the car I saw the rim damaged during tire change. I showed it to service manager and he refused the incident but I told him the chunk of plastic was still on the rim where it was damaged. I do not recommend this store All the employees are young and they dont really care about the customer properties!!!
This store does not accept returns from other Canadian Tire Stores... Never heard of this policy before... 1 star. I visited the store 10am on Aug 25th and tried to return a microwave purchased April 2021. They would not accept it and told to go to another store. Won't give me store credit... Seriously spending more on Uber than this microwave.
I was at the Dundas Canadian Tire Store , I had a great experience , very friendly staff that was ready to help me .They went out of their way to find me the right person to answer my questions. I love the new store to open at University Plaza. Thank you Canadian Tire staff and management to provide personalized service to all of us in Dundas .
I did an online order at this store for shipping. 2 days after i ordered they found out they had none of the product I ordered in store and didn't bother to tell me or do anything about it. after 2 weeks I called in and they informed me of this situation. very unsatisfied with this disorganization but at least the guy on the phone was nice.
A pretty okay place with a wide variety of stuff. The one massive downside is that the checkout/entrance/exit are pretty confined and in a small area, making it incredibly slow at peak hours especially if the things you're buying are large. The parking is also pretty suboptimal as well making this place better for quick/small buys overall.
The store has a lot of inventory and lots of staff working. I found it difficult to find the key making area as I’m used to that having signage. I ended up doing two full rounds before going to the auto parts and asking a worker. It was down an aisle which I found odd. The guy who cut the keys was diligently making the keys.
Nice upgrade on the old Dundas Canadian Tire. The selection of products is expanded with the extra floor space but the store is still smaller than the bigger Canadian Tires in the big box shopping centres. One of the managers helped me find some light bulbs I was looking for and he couldn't have been friendlier. Great store!
Felt somewhat mixed about this place before due to the demeanor of the checkout workers but the car services centre brought me back! I had struggles with my plate and Jacob was a heaven sent that helped me out! Do not hesitate to go to the Car Services Centre here, the workers have been nice and more than willing to help :)
My Partner and I came in to do a return, and Taylor was working Customer Service and helped us greatly. She had to spend quite some time and patience looking up what she needed to help us return the bulk of items. Taylor was an amazing help and her workmanship was such a relief to us. Thanks for your help Taylor!
This new-ish store is amazing! Still miss the charm and personality of the old store, but this is a better updated store with a much larger selection of products. Friendly staff, fair prices, clean store and online shopping is easy too. Great selection for holiday decorations like Halloween, Christmas stuff.
This is a better spot for it, love that it moved from cootes dr. Most convenient and much bigger. It literally has all your needs under one roof. Very spacious no cart bumping in the aisles. Staff were great and helpful, everything I need was in stock as indicated online. Great asset to University plaza
Did a online order for curbside pickup for a windshield wiper. Took three and a half hours to have it picked, not happy it took so long, I went to put it on, it broke and they would not exchange it, I had to come back on Tuesday because Monday was a holiday,. Not a good experience at this Canadian Tire
Many thanks to the polite, informed and courteously masked guy who offered assistance to me in the plumbing dept. His assessment of my need and recommendation for the adjustable arm angle toilet lever was right dead spot on. Job is done already. Very pleased with both service and product.
Nice store, big improvement. But whoever runs the inventory, namely online, should be fired. Too many times I have gone there because their app shows they have stock on hand and the shelf is empty. Very frustrating, especially when other stores sre more accurate in regards to their inventory.
Despite being small as the size of a convenience store, deals are great and you can find most of things that you need. Staff are friendly and helpful. Ask them if you couldn't find what you were looking for. The staff will check the warehouse, which is across the street.
777 Upper James location. Nathaniel was a great help BUT I checked website for inventory of lawn edging. Said 38. Drove half hour to this Hamilton location only to be told OUT OF STOCK. I was told this store doesnt keep up proper inventory records....very disappointed!!
This is the best Canadian tire in Canada. Amazing customer service nothing but help I’ve been going there for 20 years and I have nothing but amazing things to say Sandy and all the other managers do their job perfectly. I would probably only use this Canadian tire.
My friend was looking for a socket set, he returned one to another Canadian Tire location. I can't remember if he picked anything up here. The sign said they were moving for November 1st, so it'll be interesting to compare and contrast the old store to the new one.
I am a backpack user, and live nearby in Dundas. Once, a young man just didn't let me in, because (he explained it this way) I had a backpack. The store location is good, so I keep shopping there (with my backpack, by the way), but an unpleasant aftertaste remains.
Totally done with this store, the amount of products behind glass is ridiculous. A pair of $4.99 gloves? Yup. Behind glass. Bonus points to find some good quality staff members to allow you to see the gloves, then carry them up to the cash for you. Good plan.
Liked them more when they had more stuff for do-it-yourself projects. It seems like they have less self-repair inventory since Covid as well. Staff are friendly however. I miss the Canadian Tire money, the current loyalty program just doesn’t feel the same.
Fantastic experience with the Automotive team. They were able to remove my flat and put the new tire on the rim in no time. Especially with winter coming and being super busy with putting on winter tires they fit me into their schedule. Thanks again.
Good selection of products, but there bulk hardware aisle. Where you put nuts, bolts etc. In a bag. There is no clip board. So you have to kneel on the floor to right down what you have. I prefer home Depot for this. No shortage of clip boards there
Update Feb 11. they still have great staff. But I'm dropping a star because I am very tired of being accosted by CT Credit card sales people every time I walk in. It is very annoying. Miss the old Dundas Store but, they have done a good job here.
During this pandemic and waiting in line to go in the store on a hot day we were offered cold bottled water. What a thoughtful thing to do! People mostly post their grievances but the store always appreciates a good review...well done …
I use Canadian Tire to compare prices with some sites online I find Canadian Tire to be very competitive with their pricing however they mostly fall short except for when I needed new kitchenware. A lot of the kitchen supplies they have are
Excellent support staff - they approached me and asked how they could help and together we explored the options. The guy & gal in light bulb section knew what they were talking about. I brought home the right products for the best lighting.
This pertains to the Dundas store in University Plaza. If the website says they have 5 or less in stock they probably don't have it. I'm not sure how their computers communicate with the website but their stock numbers are often inaccurate.
Customer Service is TERRIBLE, I literally have to wander around the store before I find an employee to help me with something and there's always other customer doing the same thing. There can be a few people waiting their turn to ask for
Love the new store. Super friendly staff and great location at a mall to get several items on your docket. I would recommend this store as top performer in customer service, location, selection and cleanliness. These folks got it right.
Even thou the shopping protocol is different then normal...curbside pick up. It's the same great service. The customer service agent was professional and so considerate. She gave a cookie for my Yorkie when she returned with my order.
The auto service centre is fantastic; highly recommended for breaks, tires, oil changes, etc. I trust their judgement, and their prices are competitive/fair. Store front has a great selection, online shopping is consistently accurate.
The young lady at the auto counter was very helpful. She pointed out the proper coolant for my vehicle as it was my first time looking for that specific product. I also bought really healthy annual plants for only 1.99. Great deal.
Service is amazing as usual, but the store really needs some facing. The hardware (bolts, etc.) section was almost impossible to shop due to the state it was left in my customers. Stock is good and the management is always kind.
As expected, very large variety of items at not-so-appealing prices. One can definitely find reasonable prices for items but look out for discounts that start every Thursday. Some go up to 70%+ and that can be a huge moneysaver.
Store was fine. Would have given 5 stars but waisted $7 on the food out front. Microwaved burger with empty toppings containers. Small Halloween style bag of chips. I dont recommend eating at the food truck out front …
We had our Cadillac in for an oil change and pre winter check, and Carl and the team were very professional, courteous and on time ..and there were no extra surprises with the bill..I would highly recommend this location..
Good service for my car .. the automotive is very good. But that's about it. Really bad stock and stressed out unfriendly employees in the store. Awkward warehouse pickup location down dimly lit side road a couple km away.
Great store. So unfortunate they are closing this historical location in Dundas. Next week they are moving to a big box location where you have to walk a kilometre to buy a screwdriver. Not looking forward to the move.
Yesterday I bought sod from appleby store@ 3.99. today I went to dundas store & found it @ 4.99. When store manager was called he said he can’t price match appleby branch, cause they get the sod from another
It’s good but sometimes my little dog rasnu feels bad for the little home hardware at the end of the block. It is like when you eat the peanuts and you find the one at the bottom of the bag unshelled.
Very clean and safe and I shop here for work every day or so. Nice helpful staff every time. Prices are very good best quality that’s for sure.big thank you from gold star roofing 2020
If Nathan I. was running for Prime Minister, I would honestly vote for him. What a genuinely pleasant person to interact with. Knowledgeable, patient and polite. Fantastic service.
Went looking for a wooden bar stool and was pleasantly assisted by a young woman at the customer service desk. I was also helped by Nate, who was extremely friendly.
Good auto shop experience I had. Paid $35 for a flat tire. Turned out there were multiple holes that they fixed. No extra charge, no surprises, fast work. Good job!
Location has low visibility compared with most of their box stores. Friendly staff, the rest is just same ol Canadian Tire….oh, and oil prices have gone up again.
Never had issue of push sales like others report in different location. Exactly to the point, good advice and good behavior. Just hard to get quick appointment.
Dropped by to purchase a Croquet set, had a hard time finding it, a wonderful woman assisted me a took me directly to the item. Great job! Helpful employees.
I needed a key copied, and showed up with about 15 minutes left, the staff quickly managed to duplicate my key for a reasonable price, before closing time.
This is a newly opened Canadian Tire location. Bright and well stocked with great sales. Just what I'm looking for in a good shopping experience.
This location does not exist. It moved to the former supermarket location at university plaza. Shame because they had great skate sharpening.
Not that much diy stuff. The one staffer was super informative in a black mask... srsly too informative to work there unless he's well paid.
One of the best Canadian tires. Ample parking and a consistently clean store. As a bonus they usually have the clearance items by the front.
thought I'd miss the original store in town. Once I stepped inside I never looked back! huge store same great employees. bigger and better !
Ok just another Canadian Tire the one a little bit up the road is much bigger and better but this one's ok as well just a small one
