**11/10/23 We stayed here again because we loved it before, but the next time not so much. We had brunch here and it was absolutely delicious! We also spent time in the bar and Hunter was there again. She was very accomodating too. However, the 2nd experience wasn't so great. We found a squashed up gum wrapper in our room upon arrival and expressed concerns our room might not be clean? Didn't make a fuss, but texted pretty much those exact words to the front desk (replying to their previous text asking how the room was). The reply from Karen was ' They would send someone to pick it up.' Great, but what about our concern the rest of the room wasn't clean as a result of finding it? I told her that we already had cleaned it up and heard nothing else. Plus, we had stated upon booking that it was our 20 yr wedding anniversary and we booked there specifically for it. Jonathan did acknowledge our anniversary upon check in and gave us a drink (which was nice), but I guess we expected a bigger deal to be made of it too. My fault for having high expectations based on our previous stay. I wish I didn't feel this way, but we saved up specifically to stay there and it wasn't cheap. This stay was disappointing and we didn't feel taken care of. Even when we expressed our concerns the next morning. That one gum wrapper, with gum in it, tainted the whole experience. I know it seems small, but it ended up being a much bigger issue for us because of the way it was handled. Not impressed and seriously disappointed. I would love someone to contact me regarding our stay so I could understand more about it - it might help us resolve the disappointment we have regarding our stay(rather than just a comment on here that states how sorry they are about it). I have tried to find out how to reach someone specifically in the customer service dept at your hotel regarding our stay, but haven't had any luck. Thank you very much. *****( previous review from our first stay this past summer) Exceptional stay. One really amazing person stood out and that was Hunter at Otro. We felt very well taken care of by her and went back at the end of the evening because we liked her so much. Jonathan at the front was great too and remembered us from the night before. Kelby(?) at the bar in Domingo was very accommodating as well- we sat at the bar in the restaurant for breakfast. However, we had dinner in Domingo the night before. The food was good, but our service was pretty awful. Our server was not very attentive and we had to chase others down to help- basic cutlery, the check, etc. Kiley helped check us in as well, but honestly did not seem that interested in our questions or otherwise ( she seemed a bit bored). We ran into her when she was leaving and she she told us how the last few hours had dragged by. That was what she portrayed to us when we checked in. Our stay was completely impromptu- only the clothes on our back, but we will come back in the fall because of the experience we had, especially the positive aspects of it which were many. Hunter was definitely a bright spot!

A really great staff, led by Adam director of front desk operations. Art (front desk) was thoughtful and Ed (front desk on the night shift) went above and beyond. Feels very welcoming and like a beautifully and tastefully designed boutique hotel with soaring ceilings, well-appointed decor, all natural materials, nothing faux. Rooms spacious and comfortable with everything I needed. I even loved the personal care items in the room; cool refrigerator door without all the stuff I don't want in my room (don't want soda, alcohol). Loved the Nespresso and filtered water on tap. Quiet despite being right off the River Walk, where I could look down from the lounge and see the Dia de los Muertos parade. The bar even had the most incredible face painting offered at no charge, which was very impressive. So many things to love. Caveat: it feels like a new hotel with growing staff. There were hiccups and Ed, then Adam and the team looked into things and responded in a way that gave me full confidence any issues would be worked out. Ultimately, I highly recommend, especially for a business trip. It feels like a vacation but you can still get work done surrounded by beauty

Fantastic location! 1 minute walk to the riverwalk and there is a river cruise start point as soon as you enter the riverwalk. Starbucks about a 1-2 minute walk away. Restaurants everywhere. Very busy street but easy to manage. Valet parking for $55 with in/out privileges. Just be sure to message them 20mins prior to needing your car as they need to retrieve it and sometimes they are very busy. If there is a lot of traffic around, then message them even earlier to request they bring your car around. There is a parking garage right across the road for $30 per night I believe but no in/out privileges. Not that you really need it as the hotel is in a great location and everything you need is within walkable distance. The hotel itself is great! Staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend, so it was crazy busy. But still a great stay! The elevators took a while, but that's just because the hotel, I think, was fully booked. It was extremely busy, so the elevators were working non-stop and always full! The rooms were great! Big in size! Bed super comfortable and everything you need in a hotel room. Modern and clean. Nicely designed. There is also a nespresso machine in the room and a great selection of channels on the TV. There is access directly from the hotel to the riverwalk if you go down to one of the bottom floors. They also have a restaurant which looks great! The hotel was very accommodating, we needed a little bit later checkout and that was no problem at all.

So, initially our stay was great, until we valeted our "2022 Tesla Model 3" and was unaware I accidentally left my wallet in the passenger seat - until we got to the room 15 minutes later and the front desk called me to let me know the valet found my wallet. So I proceeded down to get my wallet, got back to the room and counted the cash I had, which should have been 2,300 exactly, there was 1,880 " I knew this because I had just counted it out at the bank prior to getting back to the hotel. I went back down and explained the situation and was treated so poorly as if I was just lying to get over on them i felt helpless and so uncomfortable, I was told to speak with the valet and of course only received denials then told to go back to the front desk which I told them verbatim that I don't care for any one to get in trouble I just want this rectified. Again I was essentially ignored until I finally left and chocked it up as a loss. This put a pretty big damper on our trip mainly because of the treatment and service I received in response to my situation. Hoping for contact from a manager to rectify the situation will - update then -

Canopy by Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk is one of the relative new hotels located at the famous Riverwalk of Downtown San Antonio. For the record, I DIDN'T stay here during my visit but we did dined at Domingo Restaurant, which is located at this hotel and hence why I was able to take some shots of this marvelous place. It's a nice property. As we entered the entrance, it played some cool funky music, cool furniture, nice lobby and it's bright and nicely LIT, lots of interesting art pieces. We took the elevator down to get to Domingo Restaurant, where we dined for the evening with a table near the Riverwalk. Although I didn't stay at this hotel during this visit but I will definitely consider booking here the next time I am here in San Antonio.

We DIDN'T stay here at the hotel but we dined here at Domingo Restaurant which is located inside this hotel. Hence the reason we entered via the hotel and took the elevator to the resto. On our way, we saw the nice main lobby, cool music, interesting artwork and colours, high ceilings everywhere, it's a cool hotel style. I would consider staying here the next time I am in San Antonio.

Stayed one Friday night in September. Great location. A little tricky to get to given the construction. New building, so it's in great shape. Really clean rooms. Beds are super comfortable and all the furniture/electronics/plumbing works well. Rooms are a bit smal, but that's to be expected if you look at the footprint of the place. Literally on the Riverwalk. Did not hit the workout room. Had two meals at Domingo....lunch was okay, but breakfast the next morning was excellent. Staff was very friendly. We had a problem with our TV (quit working) on Friday night. The staff were great, eventually moving us to another room on the same floor. The only drawback is that we were promised a $30 F&B credit that never showed up on our bill. So I docked one star for that. As others have said, the parking valet service is efficient but insanely overpriced. Maybe do some homework before you arrive to see if there are alternatives. Overall...really impressive place. Highly recommended.

The hotel was good, and the gym was excellent but small. The cleaning lady was very helpful. The restaurant was adequate but more about pushing margaritas than good food. The real rub was parking. We used valet. We paid $55 per night plus tips. The first night our car was vandalized. Someone punched two softball sized dents in the roof, and carved their name in the paint in one of them. The valet service brushed it off. First the guy tried to argue it was old (this was brand new rental car—and you could see the silver metal not rusted metal), then he said he’d have his manager reach out—it’s been days and still no word. I asked if they could park the car somewhere else and it turns out they can’t—they use the same public lot as everyone else. It felt like this was a regular occurrence and the guy was going through a script—deny, deflect, evade responsibility. If you value your car think twice about leaving it with these guys.

Omg the most amazing stay at this hotel!!! It was a bit difficult at first to find due yo construction happening on one of the main streets, however from Valet to check out it was such a pleasant stay! The front desk was always attentive and even texted us which made it SO much easier to communicate, Kiley and Julia were so helpful, even brought up a Purchase of the conditioner/shampoo I bought so we didn’t have to walk down! I would definitely stay here again! We were down here to see Karol G sing and it was just a pleasant stay overall, even my mother who’s hard to please when it comes to hotels was completely head over heels for the hotel.

Talk about a “Wow” experience that I wasn’t expecting… Stayed overnight to celebrate a birthday and what an excellent choice. The overall location and room was super clean with well-appointed furniture, lighting and art. Bed and linens were super comfy (which is always tough for hotels). Location was great! Close to Riverwalk and other nightspots. Their “rooftop” bar is definitely on my top faves list now. Great drinks, atmosphere and service. Lastly, and probably most importantly was the beyond excellent customer service received from the valet to registration desk. For the price you’ll pay at other San Antonio downtown brand or boutique hotels - I encourage you to visit this one. It’s definitely playing in the big leagues with the rest of them and honestly beating them. I’ll definitely be going back and this time spending more time in their restaurant/bar :)

The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. I appreciated the drink at checkin and the personal texts to check on how my stay was going. The food at Domingo was great. Lani (not sure of her spelling), made the best margarita and she provided personalized service with recommendations from the menu. Qi was our server for lunch and was very helpful and accommodating. Domingo offers a weekday happy hour which we really enjoyed. Try the happy hour nachos and street corn off the regular menu! Love the styling of the hotel and location. Would absolutely stay again.

The hotel is perfectly located right on the river walk. There are endless things to do nearby within easy and enjoyable walking distance.

I was a little nervous at first to walk alone around the area and to and from a local public parking garage, but was quickly reassured by the presence of roaming police officers.

I will definitely stay here again. The rooms were beautiful, the small things that made it great were the in room Nespresso machine, the filtered water, in shower liquid soaps. The beds were comfy. Staff were great and offered a cold beverage upon our arrival. The bartenders although swamped did a great job and handled things professionally and friendly. The location is good and close to most of the river walk, and an 8 min walk to market square .

Good hotel in an awesome location by the Riverwalk. Walking distance to The Alamo. We stayed just for one night and picked this hotel because they were pet friendly. Staff was great. The bar on the 3rd floor is great to hang out. They have a restaurant by the Riverwalk at the lower level that we did not try. Lack of parking (only Valet is available) and the large homeless population in the area are the downside, though the homeless population is not the hotel's problem. San Antonio has to do better in managing its homeless population if they want downtown to flourish.

I am not familiar with the hotel rating system but the service of this hotel does not match up to a 4 star service at the receptionist desk. I’ve brought family friends here and was excited to show them Texan hospitality before they consider to move across the country from Seattle. I was not impressed and I am more than positive that I did not bring them to the right Hotel. I’ve had warm greetings from Garden Inn or other branches under Hilton before. Additionally, understand it’s the Boho vibe, so, I do not consider it accommodating for family. No Club Lounge, everything costs extra money. The location is disastrous, you could book a decent Hilton much cheaper in northeast and receive way more welcoming service and amenities. I will not return and I do not recommend.

The sinks need to be redesigned. The water doesn’t clear the lip of the sink and creates a mess. The people at the front desk were somewhere between unhelpful and uninterested. Four times I requested someone to look at the TV since I couldn’t get it to function. After the end of the second day, the Engineer showed up and fixed the problem. The only person who truly showed customer service skills and was very helpful for any issues was Azucena. She was truly concerned about helping the guests. The rest of them I could do without. Please let her know that I submitting a positive review for her service.

If you're looking for a family-friendly hotel, I would keep looking. The third-party site I used to book my reservation listed games as an amenity (they do not). The service when I had my children with me was sub-par. The rooms are decent but not worth the nightly rate, in my opinion. The location is great if you're looking to be on the Riverwalk, but that's about the only thing I liked here. I'll be choosing a different hotel the next time I'm here.

The room walls/windows are thin, and you can hear everything inside the hallways & outside on the Riverwalk. There is no noise in the room to drown anything out, it's super quiet, so if you're a light sleeper, you won't rest with hearing everything going on around you.

What a fantastic hotel. I was staying here for work and I loved coming back to the hotel every night. It was clean, the air conditioning worked so well, the bathrooms were immaculate and well designed. The beds were comfortable and the service was great. The ice machine wasn’t working on my floor and the staff brought me ice to my room when I called and asked. Shockingly, for being a pet hotel, it didn’t feel like that. The hallways and rooms were very clean. Domingo, the restaurant downstairs was delicious. The chicken sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had, as was their elite. The bar on the 3rd floor was great too, with great views of the River Walk. It was super close to everything in downtown San Antonio. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

5 star service and the rooms are preety decent... location is perfect ONCE u get there...getting there can be a challenge though...congestion is an understatement. The only bad thing I can say is that u shouldn't waste your time on the overpriced food in the restaurant downstairs...look at the breakfast in that photo...overcooked eggs, potatoes were cold, and only 2 pieces of bacon which was also cold...my wife had the exact same meal and we paid 53 bucks...before tip...yep 53 American dollars!!! coffee was really good though...other than that I would highly recommend eating elsewhere but the Hotel is cool.

The minute we walked in, we were greeted with the biggest smile and welcome from Azucena. She went above and beyond by securing a reservation at Domingo’s for brunch before we checked in and arrived. Domingo’s was AMAZING with delicious cocktails and authentic cuisine. The icing on the cake was an after show nightcap at Otro’s bar. The bar staff were friendly and mixed elevated cocktails using top ingredients. The cool night air under the Riverwalk stars was the perfect setting to end our special day. We found our new favorite hotel in San Antonio!

Great hotel in the heart of SA - right on the river walk! The staff was so friendly and truly made the stay enjoyable. My only negatives would be 1) the room definitely needs some TLC in terms of cleaning - specifically the carpet (needs to go) between the beds, the entry door (covered in dust) and the bed platform (has never been cleaned). 2) the valet parking is insanely expensive. You can park 1 block away in a parking garage for $10/day. Overall I would return to the canopy - 4/5 stars. Side note - the west side of the hotel is blocked by a new construction building.

We really enjoyed our week long visit to San Antonio River Walk. In large part because of the Canopy Hilton Hotel. Room was great, with great views. Staff was professional and friendly. We did not have a car to fuss with so that helped. I recommend that people book direct with hotels, not through online brokers. OBs will lie to you and tell you what you want to hear just to get the booking. It is not the hotels fault or responsibility. Read the fine print on the OBs sites. In a polite way it even tells you they are lying to you. Don't blame the hotel because you thought you going to save $20.00 a night with an OB service. ALWAYS book direct...!!!

My husband and I stayed for a staycation this past weekend and loved it. The hotel was very modern and clean. Rooms were beautiful and we had a great view. It's right on the Riverwalk so it was easy to get to any restaurant/location we wanted within a few minute walk. You can select your room on the Hilton Honors App which was great. We did end up having a different room than the one selected because the prior guest extended their stay but we were just a few floors down and the room was still great.

First time visiting San Antone for a conference and Canopy was the hotel that caught my eye. It was a short Lyft ride over from the airport and checking in was quick. Loved the close proximity to almost everything and enjoyed my short stay. Only negative mark was when housekeeping left a wet and dirty towel near my luggage (presumably used to dust). Would highly recommend this hotel when visiting and definitely come back the next time I visit.

The location was great for accessing the sites. We had a balcony room with a view of rooftops, construction sites and a part of the Riverwalk that was nothing special. What we could see of the other area buildings was ok. Not really worth the upgrade fee. The concrete floors are ok but bring your slippers. The room was spacious but the foyer needs a chair or 2. Great view from 17th floor of the city and Riverwalk. Ice maker didn't work due to Texas heat, but service was quick to deliver it to the room! Room was comfy and quiet, thanks to 2-3 doors in the room separating the bathroom and entry from the bedroom. Great location, very helpful staff but slightly off the mark for a Hilton Canopy level room. Room was clean with hot water and decent pressure. I like the rain head/hand wand combo. We selected the King Bed Premium with Balcony and the views did not disappoint. Our mini fridge had a weird smell. I didn’t care for the cement floors and places that don’t have an ironing board automatically get docked (I’m old school)

I was travel from Az on 8-30. We had a late check in for that night. We did make it before the cut off time. The staff that worked the night shift was amazing and accommodating and very helpful. I am sorry I do not remember their names but want them to get recognition for their great hospitality. Highly recommend your hotel to others traveling to San Antonio. Have a beautiful day!! Wonderful hotel stay for business. The rooms were clean and modern. The resturant downstairs was delicious and service was amazing . A 5 star experience for a 3 star price. Everyone was so accommodating from arrival to departure. My new San Antonio favorite.

Location is good, but there is no free self parking, must valet, and construction causes a backup for valet. Room was spacious but was not cleaned well upon check-in, and furniture is old. Staff was friendly, but there was poor communication between front desk and housekeeping.

Conveniently located a few steps from the San Antonio Riverwalk, this hotel offers rooms that are comfortable, clean, and modern. There is a bar on the 3rd floor as well as a restaurant located by the Riverwalk. One side note is that they did not clean my room even after stating I wanted my room cleaned. I did not opt out either to have my room cleaned.

Five star service! The entire staff was outstanding! Kolby was phenomenal helping me with several requests. Highly recommended this hotel! The location couldn’t be better for exploring downtown and the River Walk. One of few hotels with great coffee in the rooms with stations on the floors with filtered water, tea, coffee creamer and other things usually not available for free.

Nice hotel. Staff was very courteous and helpful. My room was nice and I had a great view. The guy at the desk recommended the Mexican restaurant down on the Riverwalk level and the food was delicious! Jasmine was my waitress and she was super nice. Recommended her favorites and they were all delicious! Definitely will stay here again.

Great location on river walk. Very clean hotel. Staff and bartenders are excellent. Valets is $52 bucks. Or u can park in parking garage. There’s two. Houston street garage is cheaper. Overall will stay again. Very nice.

Edward was great and super helpful during out stay! We stayed 5 nights and had a great time. The Domingo restaurant in the hotel was wonderful and the convenience of being directly on the riverwalk was great.

I was very hesitant due to the price, but I am beyond amazed at everything! The rooms are amazing with great views! The food was great! The bar along the riverwalk this time of year was stunning! Everyone (staff) was so helpful and considerate! I think I’ve found my new place to stay when I visit for work!

Rooms are nice. Staff isn’t friendly upon arrival.. zero help with bags or getting to the room. They need to invest in a larger staff instead of trying to stay minimal. Valet situation is an absolute nightmare. We waited over an 30 min twice for our vehicle. There are better options to stay.

Just stayed overnight night at this location, though it's a bit on the expensive side, it's worth it, in my opinion. With a good location between the Alamo, the Riverwalk, and the Marketplace. Good and clean rooms, and a good and excellent staff, this hotel gets a 5 star from me!

Great location, and friendly service at check-in. Room was clean, modern, comfortable, but not very spacious. I was excited to have been upgraded to a room facing the Riverwalk - at the highest floor no less! But unfortunately, the Riverwalk is not visible from the huge windows when you are 19 floors up. Concrete floors wasn’t to our liking. Personal preference. Can’t believe, can’t walk through restaurant to river walk with an alcoholic beverage. I know they are not directly linked to hotel, but hotel promotes them as we have restaurants.

I love this hotel!! On the river walk in San Antonio which is very convenient. The room was clean, cozy and quiet. When you entered room the tv will have your name displayed to welcome you in! One of the best places I have stayed in a while. More

Canopy is a great hotel, with a great location next to the Riverwalk and just minutes away from the Alamo. The rooms have concrete floors which are a perfect addition to the room. The black and white amenities in the room make it high class

NO Customer Oriented. Stuck up front desk employees, when tried to ask questions about the city the night guy seems annoyed and made us feel like we bother him. Also, we paid almost $60 per day for Vallet parking. It didn't worth it. Called

$55 valet parking is the only onsite parking option offered. That cost felt excessive at best. Other than that, the room and service were fine. More
