"Fun for the kids, nice place to take your little ones"
"a staple Central Park for ages"
"Loved this! Only $3 per ride and a long ride at that! We were there for 9:50 am prior to opening and there were about 4/5 customer groups in total for the first ride"
This carousel was a surprise I had no idea it was in the park my kids really enjoyed it... perfect on a not so cold day for the kids. There is a cost to go on the ride but i cant remember exactly how much I paid but it wasn't expensive... I took the entrance at Columbus circle and ended up at the carousel after a little walk...
We love coming here! For $3 a rider it's a fun thing to get out and do every once in a while. My kids love it! The ride actually seems fairly long too. If you haven't already, read about the history, very interesting and fun to learn more about such an iconic place.
Fun for the kids, nice place to take your little ones. The ride is pretty long, secure but NOT free for the adults like the website had advertised. I had to pay mandatory $3 to accompany my 4 year old twins, so after few rides it gets pretty expensive.
a staple Central Park for ages. This is a nice old fashioned carousel. The price is a tiny bit steep at $3 for every person who goes on. But it's a nice long ride. It is a bit aggressive. Some of the horses go as high as 4 or 5 feet and it
Loved this! Only $3 per ride and a long ride at that! We were there for 9:50 am prior to opening and there were about 4/5 customer groups in total for the first ride. The only negative was there was absolutely no hurry from the staff to
It's a fun place to bring your kids, but also a bizarre work of art. The horses are these weird hyper masculine sculptures that really are striking, and then there's the calliope and the circus part of it. It's a really strange blend.
A reminder of the simpler times in NYC. I'm not sure if $3 even covers the electricity and staff that is used to run the carousel. Truly a great deal if you really think about it. I personally don't mind the longer downtime between
Such an iconic experience! As someone who enjoys a good carousel, this is definetly one. Reasonably priced and you get to enjoy a fun experience no matter what your age is! What a great time! I would recommend this attraction!
This was such a fun addition to our central park day! Definitely a fun ride to make any adult feel like a kid again! The horses have that vintage wore vibe as it was made in 1908. The cost is $3.50
Employees don't want to be there. Seems that they hate their job and that is translated in the service. The Carousel is really nice. But the hole experience is not good for the people
Beautiful carousel but terribly operated. The music was....hard to describe, it must be broken. No lights on, either.
Have been here before but first time we took a spin. Was fun and marked off the bucket list. Great fun for all ages.
Adults have to pay just to stand with younger children, never encountered this with any of the other NYC carousels.
Great place for kids in DT NY, Avoid on a hot summer day as there is zero shade, or avoid early afternoon hours
This place was amazing. I took my 20 month old charge for her first time. She had a wonderful time.
Not beautiful compare to carousel in Brooklyn, but it’s a gift to New York children in 1951.
