"Although small, it's a modern and clean station"
"Awesome transit station, very modern with many outstanding features"
"Moving walkways would make it more functional"
"Poorly designed and thought out for over 30years in the making"
"Easily the cleanest most presentable subway station in the city"
Although small, it's a modern and clean station. Hopefully, it stays that way. I really appreciate the artwork and the high ceilings but going way down from ground level is very steep. From Powell station, follow the red T sign and go all the way north to the very end, make a left and you can't miss the entrance.
Awesome transit station, very modern with many outstanding features. The art is cool and the design is even better. I would describe it as industrial minimalism. Call it what you want but do yourself a favor visit and take a ride into Chinatown then walk up to North Beach for great San Francisco day!
Moving walkways would make it more functional. There is disconnect from where it starts which is in Bayview. It is nice for a line to be well designed otherwise it looks pathetic compared to Russian subwats etc with the miles long escalator clips. The artwork was not impressive or relevant
Poorly designed and thought out for over 30years in the making... The elevators and escalators are frequently out of order and the stairs are so steep going down 2 levels.. do u know how many grandmas are carrying their groceries bags down those stairs?
Easily the cleanest most presentable subway station in the city. I still can’t figure out how they dug SOOOO deep underground to get this place to what it is. But great job $1B well spent! It literally goes 5 stories underground. You have
Nice station architecture (+5 stars) and excellent use of New Austrian tunneling method to minimize disruption to surface streets (+1 star), which also serves as an excellent emergency disaster shelter because of the deep ground cover (+1
Love this new metro station. Been waiting over a decade for it's completion but we'll worth the wait. Convince by all means. Smoothe by all standards avoiding the main squeeze during primetime rush morning hustle to work or school; after
This review is ONLY for the safety matter, not other services inside the station. As you may see, two staffs from SFMTA safety workers, not sure how their title is and job description they were agree to at hire. It happened 09/30/23 at
Wow beautifully designed station except the platform level is only 2-train lengths. Why is this an issue? The stairway to/from is quickly crowded and rather inadequate compared to our old school Market Street Subway Stations. Oh and be
It was a bit confusing on which track to board. Luckily they had a staff person to help direct you. Of course it is brand new clean & shiny. The wait for the train to leave was about 12 mins. ADA accessible. Elevators.
Due to the infrequent schedule of the Muni, it often becomes necessary to patiently await its arrival. However, more often than not, opting to reach your destination by foot proves to be a quicker alternative.
A great way to get to Chinatown and points beyond. The style is a little weird and sterile but has some interesting tile work and color palette. Check it out and get some Chinese food, too.
Mixed feeling on this place. It is beautiful and big and nice. It also cost a huge amount of money and only has a few stops. It will be a bonus for anybody living in Chinatown.
A beautiful station of the SFMTA. It connect the Bayview to Chinatown via downtown San Francisco, Moscone Center, Caltrain Station, UCSF, Warrior Chase Center.
Nice, new station. Very convenient, clean, trains frequently. Only downside is it's really far down so account for 2-3 minutes to get from train to street.
Great station. So clean and modern. We were helped by a gentleman who gave us information about travel cards and using the Muni app. Thanks to him.
This is the newly open station in January 2023 right inside Chinatown. It's probably the most beautiful station within the Muni and Bart system.
A very large and immersive and authentic China town experience. Not many restaurants for tourists (like London) seemed more for local Chinese.
This is a newly station, T-line in S.F. We must remember that it’s this clean and we have to keep it always clean like this.
Reported on Sunday, Nov 27th at 10:17 AM, Central Subway Svc is currently experiencing slow moving traffic due to an overhead issue.
Excellent public transportation light rail train station, way better than riding the bus to Chinatown, you won't regret it.
This a nice, clean and modern station. Let’s hope it will stay that way. It’s a proud station for the community.
good handicap facilities, travel free with my family, and nice staffs there to help, keep it up~~
Chinatown is a bit different now. But still a wonderful place with this convenient stop!
Low frequency, pretty unremarkable design for the price… Slow escalators too.
Every thing is good except the bad smell that the station has
Beautiful station, very clean and accessible, good service.
A beautiful station but the trains are hardly used.
