WRONG For $140 per plate the food was garbage, the salad sucked and the desert was awfully grotesque ! Then to boot a glass of pop was $5 and a beer or liquor drink was $10 a drink "

Club Regent Event Centre!! HORRIBLE NARROWER THEN AIRPLANE SIZE SEATS!!!!! Went to see a venue here..The show was amazingly great! However there are 1399 main flaws with the Club Regent Event Centre. THE CHAIRS! 1. SEATING IS CRAMPED TIGHT, TIGHT, TIGHT. NARROWER THEN AIRPLANE SIZE SEATS. People can’t fit in their seats without encrouching into the person seated next to them and so on down each row and seat the domino effect goes. Terrible.. Uncomfortable!! Embarrassing for anyone that is slightly larger then a small thin “Twig” adult. I couldn’t fit in the chair, nor could others around me and the entire theatre I could hear people complaining.. I basically encrouched into the person’s personal space next to me, literally half way into their seat. Im not overweight 5’11” and about 220lbs. Remove the NARROW width “Airplane” size seats and place in more generous width size chairs and more generous arm rest spacing.. 2. Bathrooms have 2 stalls in mens and 2 stand up stalls in mens. Ridiculous for a venue theatre that seats 1399 people. 3. LEFT AND RIGHT CHANNEL SPEAKERS- block view of stage and stage screen. Relocate these speakers a few feet to the sides and problem is solved. For these reasons I will not be attending ANY other show or venue if it is at this theatre. A shame really due to poor seat sizing. Ticket buyers to any venue at the Club Regent Event Centre beware your in for a ride with their narrower then airplane size seats.
I love going to concerts here for the smaller slightly more intimate experience. I went to the Dean Brody concert this past Saturday and he put on an amazing show. But the staff... First i ordered a cocktail and as the bartender handed it to me i noticed it looked incorrect so I asked if they were sure it was mine. Someone else behind the bar added grenadine and the bartender said "oh, was this supposed to be a Purple haze or a blue lagoon?" its lucky I don't have an allergy because they refused to remade the proper drink. Then, my husband went to the washroom just before the show began and while he was gone another guest asked an attendant for help finding their seat and directed them to the one beside me, my husbands seat. They showed them seat 18 instead of 17 which was across the aisle. It took a bit of convincing to get them to realize it wasn't their seat. Again, its lucky they weren't a more combative or angry individual who would've started an argument since clearly the staff isn't much help.
My group of 4 went to see the Andre Philip Gagnon performance on Friday March 18. The staff on Friday evening were so helpful and accommodating. I required accessible seating as I am partially handicapped and the staff made sure that my party could be accommodated with accessible seating because of my situation. I felt there were way over the edge accommodating and helpful. They deserve 15 out of 10 stars. The show also deserved the same rating. It was exceptional.
We all went to a grad banquet and we thought for the price it should be an awesome meal and desert as well as a salad ! WRONG For $140 per plate the food was garbage, the salad sucked and the desert was awfully grotesque ! Then to boot a glass of pop was $5 and a beer or liquor drink was $10 a drink . For the 200 students plus parents plus guests you would think people would get at least a discount ! I highly do not recommend this place for any venues as such !
The venue itself is very nice but the seating is awful. Seats are so narrow that you're bumping elbows with the person beside you. I had to lay my hands on my lap. We purchased seats in the middle of the row and I must of stepped on 5 sets of toes getting out during intermission. Come on! just 4 extra inches would have helped.I know better now and will purchase aisle seats from now on.
It was such an amazing experience. Despite being busy due to the concert, the staff was very friendly, aided us with all our inquiries.I would specially thank Ana, for her exceptional service at the end of the show on 7 August, when everyone else was busy packing up, but she took time to provide us water.Thankyou!
I love the size of the venue and the shows they bring to Winnipeg but the seats….. are you serious? If you’re any bigger then a twig they’re the most uncomfortable and small seats I’ve ever sat in. I see so many people struggle with the seats it’s horrible. Huge huge design flaw.
The venue is great; smaller capacity allows for easy, quick entrance and exit; comfortable and roomy seating, and viewing of events is good no matter where you're seated. Events are usually wallet friendly.
Went to see Teresa caputo. Show was excellent. Unfortunately this venue is too hot. They have to set the temperature down during shows as too much heat from all the people. Please do this.
Great acoustics in this theater. Seating is a little cramped, but it's like that everywhere. Seats are quite comfortable however.
