So I was passing through Ft. Worth, TX and had recently gotten my car fixed to be able to be towed behind an RV back in Odessa. When the folks in Odessa did that, they screwed up my car's blinker system. The back blinkers worked, but the front ones did not, evident by a quick-blinking blinker signal on the dashboard which usually means bulb out. I knew it had to be more than that because it was both front blinkers. I took the car to D&D, let them know I was passing through, but that I was concerned it could cause a wreck because although I might have my blinker on, only the back blinkers were working and another car might make a maneuver because they didn't get a warning from my front blinker. They understood the urgency of getting it fixed and immediately went to work to find the problem. They literally had to put the car on the lift and start tracing the problem, which they were able to find and fix. The folks in Odessa had erred in how they hooked up the trailer haul package, which was only found by D&D because traced it all the way to taking off the back bumper to find the error in the hookup. I got a call that SAME DAY that the blinker system was fixed. We picked the car up, was charged a fair price and from start to finish was treated with consummate professionalism by the owner and his crew. I can't say enough about the experience and this place. Although I live more than a couple hours away, the next time I need repairs to a vehicle, I will get that vehicle to D&D. You should too. - MWH

Because I usually take my car into dealerships to get them fixed, I was hesitant to use any other place for this repair. My air conditioning went out on my 2011 Chevrolet Aveo and I knew that, in this instance, a dealership would be charging me too much (additionally, if a mechanic screwed up my AC, it shouldn't effect the engine too much). I had driven past both D&D Automotive and the other mechanics in this area and they all highlight that they fix AC. I read the other reviews online and D&D had, by far and away, the highest reviews and the most positive feedback. After taking my car into D&D automotive on 6/3/16 and speaking with Javier, he said that would take a look and hopefully diagnose the issue. While the outcome is that I needed a new condenser unit for my car, Javier and his team made sure to do a thourough and exhaustive job of making sure every avenue was explored to determine the issue (I know this, because I stood in the garage and watched him and his mechanics work on my car - a bonus for a younger car guy like myself). While I didn't have him put in a new condenser (I needed to budget for such an expense), his professional attitude, his hard work ethic, his other mechanic's friendly and helpful manner and the ability to accurately diagnose the problem, will definitely have me returning to his shop in the future!

Installed headers on my truck, brought the truck here to get a full exhaust welded up. I brought mufflers and the catalytic converter. There is only one O2 sensor reading a catalytic converter so only one is really needed to not have problems... i got a call back ONE HOUR AND FORTY FIVE MINUTES LATER for someone to tell me they cant do it because there is only one catalytic converter supplied by me. I drove up there, explained to him why it wont hurt it, and he agreed to doing it, but told me to bring it back a different day when he told me before i left the first time that it would be done around 4 o’clock. He said he had other things going on, even though my truck had already been there, and they probably wouldnt have started it until after then anyway. Thats not very good customer service if you ask me. Also when i pulled up, another customer pulled up and complained that the exhaust work they had done there had a hanger that broke and messed up the floor of his car! On top of that, Javier acted like he didnt want to deal with me, acted like he was ignoring me sometimes, and just flat out seemed like he did not want to do the job i was willing to pay 325 dollars for. I got another shop doing it for me with NO HASSLE for 250!

This is the best auto repair shop ever!!! They are very knowledgeable, friendly, and fast! Thank you, D & D!!! We are on a 3 month road trip and had stopped to have our break pads replaced in another state. By the time we got to Texas the car was shaking and multiple dash light warnings had come on. I went into D & D in a time crunch and they immediately inspected and knew exactly what had been done incorrectly by the previous mechanic, and were very knowledgeable. They hustled to fix the issue and really did things above and beyond what I had even expressed and didn’t even charge me! What mechanic does that?! I have never received such great service from an automotive mechanic and I’ve visited countless shops across the country. Texas locals are lucky to have this shop, and I couldn’t recommend them more!!

Avoid this place at all costs!!! They had my truck for a week, couldn't diagnose any of the issues, and replaced parts without my consent and charged me for them. The parts they replaced didn't even fix any of the issues. They also said they performed a safety inspection, but I wish I would've looked at the sheet before I got home because it wasn't even for my truck. If you're thinking about going here, just throw your money in the trash instead. The result will be the same. Notice how they won't respond to this review, it's because it's all true. Updated: It's crazy that you can't look up my vehicle when you had it in the shop for about a week and took hundreds of dollars from me without fixing any of the problems. I stand by this review.

I went in there today since my car had unfortunately gotten its catalytic converter cut off while at work. Javier was very knowledgeable and not only did he get me a quote and called back within minutes to bring my car there. I took it there expecting to come back and get my car in a day or so. So you could imagine as to my surprise when I got a call within an hr and a half they had finished it and my car was ready!!!! He also did a diagnostic check for my girlfriends car for her beck engine light we found out it was just due to an old gas cap. I’m gonna be referring all of my friends and family here! Honest people, that won’t give you the run around and very affordable. If I could give 6 stars I would!

My sons car had a clutch issue overnight and we had to get a tow to D&D. By the afternoon of the next day they had already ordered the parts and quoted me a time and price. The next day the car was ready. They are very trustworthy as the repair to the clutch was hoses. They could have easily quoted a full clutch replacement but diagnosed the issue and repaired what was needed. The car is a 2001 so definitely getting up there but I trust them with their work. On the water pump replacement they sent pictures of the damaged part and had it quickly repaired. I typically do not write reviews but in this case I had to as they offered exceptional service. Thanks again. My son has his car back and works great.

Words cannot express the incredible service and genuine kindness of this shop! I was referred by two different people to seek out Javier and D&D. The first person was a close friend who had done business there for years and was referring me proactively as my car was starting have problems. The second person was the uber driver that picked me up off the side of the 30E 3 weeks later!! The uber driver encouraged me, calm down you are safe and this shop will not lead you wrong. I was back on the road in less than 24 hours and so very thankful that my family was safe. 100% the only place to go for honest work, honest service and honest pricing!

The most honest and reliable shop I have ever done business with! When I moved to Texas last year Javier came highly recommended by one of my new neighbors. My car had a number of problems that eluded many of the well known shops in NJ including the local Ford dealer (its a mustang). I took it to Javier once and the problem never came back. His prices are always reasonable and I just have peace of mind knowing that when I take one of my vehicles to him I wont get ripped off. His shop is small and tucked away like a best kept secret. I trust him with both of my vehicles. You wont find a better mechanic.

By far the best service. I am one of those hard headed type of guys who try to fix everything myself. But unfortunately changing the ball joints on a Explorer was proven to me more difficult with out a lift to get under the car properly. Took it to D&D and spoke with the owner Javier and he made me a good deal. Since it was last minute taking the SUV in due to my part, I was expecting to get the vehicle back for at least 3 - 4 days. But man what service, I got the SUV back within 2 days. They have earn my future business for any more major work, that I can not do.

Not the easiest place to find but a great hidden gem. The shop is actually in the back half of the property. Dropped the car off first thing for an exhaust leak expecting to spend hundreds. By the end of the day Javier called to say it was ready. When I got there Javier was very friendly and upfront. I felt he genuinely cares more about doing what's right than making a buck. He charged me a very reasonable fee for the work and I was on my way sounding as good as new. Quality looking work and very clean welds. Would certainly go back.

If you’re looking for an honest, good mechanic, this is your place to go! I dropped of my truck for an air bank issue. I read online that people were paying up to $1,800 for this issue to get fixed. He quickly diagnosed my truck, gave me multiple options and recommendations for the repair, and was mindful of my budget. Once I asked Javier and his team to do the repair and an oil change (2011 Tundra V8), I was out the door for a third of that. The truck is running better than it was before it broke down. I’ll definitely be back.

By far the nicest and most honest mechanic I have experienced! The light on my car came on noting a problem with the cadylidic converter. I had an appointment with the dealer for a $350 diagnostic but decided to get a mechanic to look at it first. They got me in right away and did the diagnostic for free. Turns out it was just that my gas cap was lose causing the light to come on. They were so helpful, kind, and honest, and I was done within 10 minutes. I will be using them for all of our vehicles from now on.

I had a friend take her car there 5 different times for the same issue. We tried to explain the situation and he always was trying to sell something else and keep charging her, she spent 4 thousand dollars trying to get this fixed and finally the last time she dropped it off she left the car for 2 days and wasn't even looked at and parked in some back lot and they didn't even know where it was. The guy had always been nice and she had been going for years but after this never again.

The 4.8 stars are no joke...they have that rating for a reason. I called them on Wednesday about doing a custom exhaust (true dual) on my 2017 z71. I dropped it off on Thursday noon and it was finished by 4pm. Perfect job...spunds great...looks great and at literally 1/2 the price as other places with the exact same set-up. I had D&D do my rear brakes and rotors yesterday and they did an amazing job. Not only did they install my new pads and rotors for less than the chain stores charge for labor, they also diagnosed and fixed a minor vacuum leak that was causing my check engine light to come on. I have a 2011 Maxima SV but they have also worked on my wife's Infiniti and her rogue. I recommend them 100%

I went there with an electrical issue after being turned down by another shop and d&d automotive got right on top of it they do excellent work and efficiently. The customer service was very good too by keeping me involved and sending pictures of what and how they are doing things which most shops do not do. Went back over and over , over a 3 week span for my check engine light that kept coming on, spent $2100 dollars to repair the car and basically after the 3 time going back was told not sure what the issue is and guess what...2,100 dollars later the check engine light is STILL on...now i have to find another place who can find out what the problem still is....
