    "I putting 5 star's hoping to get the relevant persons in charge to pay closer attention to the misaps that are currently taking place at the chatsworth brunch because I went there recently with my husband who is collecting a disability payment to monthly and we where advised last week that it was the last payment due, we asked them to assist us in submitting form early because we where going away from durban for the week to Newcastle and the response was we can submit at any department of labour when we went on Tuesday to the new castle branch we where then further advised that the chatsworth branch had given us the wrong form and we have proof of the ticket from the other branch, we went back today to the durban branch and they confirmed that it is the wrong form and this is my frustration that it cost us R1800 everytime we have to go to our doctor for consult even it's just forms, is this fair, who bares the cost in this careless mistake?"

I honestly cannot fault this DOL office. We applied on line 11 months ago and got absolutely nowhere, despite me having made over 104 phone calls to the Call Centre. In FACT the supposed help centre is actually a HELPLESS center. You're just told to check your status online, and WAIT!!! They claim to elevate the case, saying they will get back to you IN 3 days. Ja right!! Never ONCE did anyone be ever get back to me. Out of sheer desperation, we took all our papers and headed to Chartsworth. We anticipated that we would be in queues the entire day, as we were not going to leave until we got answers. WRONG!! We couldn't have had a more pleasant experience We were in and out in under an hour. Thokozane was just amazing. Our documents were processed while we waited, and payment was received 8 days later. We returned to sign on our scheduled date, and again we received our money 8 days later. Biyela is also so helpful. All staff we interacted with were pleasant, and courteous. Well done to this team who really do go out their way to assist and resolve claims. Thank you from a very grateful person

Found this little gem when my friend took me there, as my UIF Application I’d made online, months before, had not been captured. After 2 visits to Chatsworth Department of Labour and within a 2 month period, my UIF, which I’d been waiting for 9 months, got backdated and paid out in one lump sum! The staff are helpful, friendly, efficient and caring! The facilities are pristine clean and there’s barely a queue! I highly recommend Chatsworth Department of Labour and thank the lovely staff for all their efforts. It’s easy to find with Google Maps or Waze. It’s in Chatsworth Central, behind the big Hindu Temple and Home Affairs.

Disgusting service, pathetic behavior from the chartsworth uif branch... Sis...... The official guy who said his in charge tall black guy with burnt lips he is disrespectfull and under the influence.. Made me so angry today actually wanted to fight... He and his whole team was zero help what so ever...... This is my 5th trip to the uif and no help I still stood there asked for a manager or some one else in charge but no help with that either....... Looks like on my next trip there for my wife's uif I will have to hit some one to get attention......

I would like to commend Sizophila "Thandeka" you are the most amazing diligent person I have met in a long time, your kindness and assistance was beyond a commendation. You are so understanding and helpful and helped right until the end of the day when I was about to give up and you smiled and said dont worry I'm hear to help and that's what you did, stayed late on your birthday and made sure my paperwork was processed, that takes a very special person to do. Today you made a big difference in my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

If it's your first time visiting this place be sure to ask for directions, using Google maps can be abit confusing, but if you find Chatsworth Home Affiars you find this place. Staff are generally very fast especially if you applying for payment. If you are attending this place with a child, do dress them warm due to the fan, it can get abit chilly when sitting near it. If it's your first time ask some one whose applied for U.I.F before, for as much advice as possible to avoid you from doing many many return trips.

Absolute pathetic behavior by the female security outside. I arrived at 14:00pm, she rudely responded that they are closed. I explained that I'm coming for the 6th time from out of Chatsworth & everytime I came they were offline or something else was a problem. Why they hell does the internet have the closing time at 16:00 on the internet & they send you away 2 hours earlier? It probably cost more to actually get there than what they pay. Very unsatisfied with the attitude of the staff.

I have applied online on the 10th of April for my normal uif benefit.no response to date. Sent an email to Petermari who then asked for my documenta which i sent. First he tells me he sent all info to the Dept of Labour then he says contact ufiling.No one answers any calls on the numbers thats on the website there is an automated message for all 3 numbers then it cuts off.Chatsworth number is cont engaged.How do i get my money.I have had no income since March and its so hard to survive.

I am disgusted with the level of service at the chatsworth office. They treat people so badly. My husband has been going in to sign every month. This month they give him a green form with instructions to sign in by sms. They do not provide a pin, they do not help the people to ensure that they are registered online, properly. He went back and they just tell him to choose option 2 (forgot pin) which does not work. They should all be fired as they are a waste of space!!!

Excellent service, very understanding, MR Biyela Mthokozisi is an amazing person, really goes all out of his way to assist everyone there, he is a person whom goes the extra mile to assist everyone, he keeps it running smoothly, he doesn't have a fancy office or anything, this man is on his feet helping everyone. Hats of to him for his excellency. We need more people like him. I drive 45km to Chatsworth, but I don't mind going there for excellent service .

VERY BAD WENT TO APPLY FOR MATERNITY BENEFITS I WAS ASKED TO COME THE NEXT DAY, WHEN I WENT I WAS TOLD NO ONE IS THERE BUT THE STAFF WERE INSIDE...THIS HAPPENED BEFORE THE LOCKDOWN..I WENT BACK YET AGAIN AND THIS TIME THE CAR GUARD ADVISED ME THAT I WILL ONLY BE SEEN TO IF I WAS SIGNING..PEOPLE NEED TO SURVIVE YOU KNOW! I NOW APPLIED ON-LINE AND GOT A MESSAGE TO CALL MY LOCAL BRANCH...GUESS WHAT ITS ALWAYS ENGAGED

Service was very poor. I had went there and their server was down so they just told me to come the next day instead of trying to assist me. They weren't very busy, and they feel it's okay to ask an unemployed person to keep coming back. I asked to go print my documents and come back and they say it's too late. This was at 2pm. If that was the case they should say that they close at 2pm and not 4pm

Unfortunately I'm unable to give them a no star rating. Very pathetic service, They have a different excuse for everyday, I went there today for the 6th time, I was next in line at 11:20am but beacuse I was not there before 10:30am I was turned away and not helped. Please specify this in your operating hours to prevent people from coming to your offices for help after 10:30am.

It was the worst experience we have ever had,it's either no water or the system is offline. From August been trying to submit mitterntity froms. Baby has already been born still cannot submit our forms.its either yourll need to get new staff or new system going forward. Everyday been running to this place is costing more money then receiving a service.

I visited this branch today, 19 September 2023 and received an absolute outstanding customer services from the security lady manning the entry point to the counter staff. I only spent 1 hour 30 minutes. I was served by the lady who called herself Jabu unfortunately I did not get her surname. The place is quite clean. Keep up the good services.

The staff can be a little difficult and rude. They do get the work done. If any forms are missing or any clarification needed, any amendments needs to be done, staff don't ask to refollow the queue. You are allowed to go in, see the same consulting person. If you have all your papepaper in order we will be out in 15minutes.

Amazingly phoneline busy the for 48 hours tried calling to find out why my monthly payment was not processed.......... Shocked at the zero respect for citizens and when you ask questions you get dismissed like a child and a person will point to a date they have written on your card. No use of words except for next!!!!

Many of us citizens have been coming to sign since October 2020 and to date no funds have been paid into our bank accounts.We keep getting told to come back next month.Some people have been signing for the past 5 months and have still not received any UIF payments.

I visited Chatsworth Labour Office last week and was pleased to have cheerful, helpful assistance from Thandeka. She expertly sorted through the papers I have been sending on line for 9 months and soon had my application registered. Thank you Thandeka!!!!

Place is very bad. Service is very poor the staff just talk to you like they doing you a favour when its their job. Plus im phoning them regarding my UIF money they giving me so much stories no life in them they only help their nation very fast

Very helpful and assistant . Just down fall is that you have to go early at least 1 to 2 hours before they open and be patience and wait in line . Eventually once you inside then they will assist you and help you .

Very badstaff.. no work ethics always offline we stand half day for them to tell us they can't help us.. Try and call the number is call phones are down so everyday we waste bus fee to come here then told offline
