"Went before Elton John concert"
Short summary: the best appetizers, good burgers, good but overpriced salads. Two of us went in for a meal; one on a cleanse, so limited with ordering. We found the staff to be nice and attentive but slightly pulled back in communication style. They did a great job all around, but I could feel it was near the end of a long day. We ordered the cauliflower bites and were overly impressed. I could have eaten them all night. I think there was parmesan in the breading and that way superb. They were cooked just right and the presentation was awesome. The blue cheese dip paired perfectly with the hot sauce - both of us could have lived off of these things all night (and the next day, too). The burger and salad we ordered after were good, but didn't match the appies. The salad was good and there was a lot of it. The dressing was impressive - it was a mild lemon flavour that added to the salad times without overpowering it at all. I'm generally someone who goes for the strongest dressings (like bleu cheese) to get more out of the dressing than the salad but this one impressed even me. The downfall of the salad was the price. It was large, but it was mostly lettuce. I wasn't impressed with the presentation, but I think the lighting at the table led to that. Maybe it would have come across better with brighter lights? I don't know. I can tell you that I couldn't tell there was a half avocado in it until it was pointed out. The Southern chicken sandwich was good, too, but not perfect. The brioche bun was great, the dressing and homemade pickles added a lot. The chicken meat was perfectly cooked, but the breading was a little overdone. Maybe the oil was to hot or getting old, but it did affect the presentation a bit. It was not burnt, but getting there. The meat, though, that was top notch. Juicy, tender, great thigh meat. I do love thigh meat.

Bogart's is a wonderful restaurant in an even better location. Across the street from BC Place and just a few blocks from Rogers centre, it’s the perfect place to start an evening before a game or concert. I went there early in the evening with my wife and we arrived a good two hours before our event. I would highly recommend getting in early as the place filled up considerably between 5:30 and 6:30 and late-comers were forced out onto the patio. We started with with mussels in a white wine and butter sauce. These were fantastic- as good or better than any I have ever eaten. My only complaint is that I would have liked a bit of bread to bread to finish the sauce. I ordered the steak frites for myself and my wife had the funghi pizza. Both our entrees were delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly and tender enough to cut with my fork. The sauce was irresistible. The pizza had a soft crust and was covered with rich, creamy toppings. Though the portions were generous, we couldn’t stop eating and finished our plates. Overall, the quality of the food was outstanding and the prices are very reasonable. If there is one area where the restaurant still has room for improvement, it is in the service. I waited almost 15 minutes to be offered a drink and although our servers were attentive throughout the evening, nothing came particularly quickly- especially once the restaurant reached capacity. Having said that- it was a great evening out and I will definitely be returning to try more of their menu in the future.
Stepped into the restaurant at 10pm and asked the bartender when they were closing, he said 11pm. Online it was advertised for 11pm as well. I stepped out the restaurant after he answered and went upstairs to my room in the attached hotel, returning at 1030pm. There was a woman placing candles down at the bar and she looked at me as if I opened a locked door and snuck in. As if I had wronged her. She asked me if she can help me in a degrading tone and when I said I’d like to order food and that I was a guest of the attached hotel, she looked away before I can finish and shook her head fast stating the kitchen closes at 1045, despite it being way earlier. I looked at the bartender and asked him if the bar closes at 11, she responded before he got a chance to and said they reserved the right to close early and didn’t look at me after. She gave me the impression that I disgusted her, but overall I believed her customer service was non existent. Rude behavior that could’ve been expressed differently.

Will never go here again! Emailed for reservations for 2 people, after 24 hours no reply so we called and they said they don't normally take reservations, but said they would pencil us in anyways (I would assume to make up for not getting back to us). We call ahead the day of and say we are stuck in traffic can we move it up half an hour they say yes! We get to the door and the guy seating people blatantly said there are no reservations, and there's an hour wait, we explain the situation and the guy still doesn't care and is more interested in who we talked to. Clearly, has staff with no cohesion, and poor management, and lack professionalism. Perhaps training staff to answer the phone with their names would be a good start to avoid these type of situations to hold employees accountable. Anyways, Bogarts Bar screwed us over on a night out leaving us stranded to try and find somewhere else to eat in the area on an already busy night in Vancouver.
Went before Elton John concert. Across the street from BC Place makes for great location. Very busy as both the concert and hockey that night. Staff very busy but friendly. Service good for volume they're doing. Line up to get in just after we arrived. Sat outside to get a table right away. Wings and cauliflower bites were very good. Wife liked tge tacos and I tried the Duck poutine...it was ok, nothing great. The wings, I'd go back for! Apple pie was huge and good! I'd definitely go back and try other items, after having wings again!!

Overpriced restaurant, slow service, OK food. Me and my wife both ordered sandwiches and they were both OK. Nothing special at all. The pulled pork one supposedly had gruyere, but in reality it had a small patch of melted cheese and that's it. The bread not even toasted or heated up and the fries were overfried, served too hot and dry. My wife's chicken and arugula sandwich was a joke so small it was. Same issue with the fries. The restaurant was not packed by any means, and our orders still took 25 minutes to arrive. With a crappy service and average food why are they charging 16~20 bucks for each sandwich? Did i mention they charge 3 bucks extra for ceasar salad? Verdict : 2/5 stars. Won't be coming back
If you want a beer, probably fine and they'll probably pour it right. Food was mediocre at best, but the "signature" cocktails were pretty horrendous. I was sat near the bar and perhaps the bartender was new, but ordering 2 different of the signature cocktails and having to watch them struggle through reading the menu to see what was in each was worrisome. I struggled through the first one, had to leave the second one behind. For it being a midday Saturday with the Rugby 7s and a Canucks-Leafs game, they were shockingly not busy (should have been a warning). In any case, probably won't be back and won't be any worse off for it.

Five stars! We were greeted promptly by a host, and got to choose our seats. The server with amazing glittery hair was great and honest about the kinda-ok taste of the coffee but made us a fresh pot. We were out late and had a nice late dinner before a party so needed the caffeine which we paired with calamari and tacos!! The tacos had the perfect spice to them with house-made sauce, and the squid had the nicest batter and was cooked perfectly. The place filled up after the Canucks game ended. Great vibes. Nicely done.

Salt salt salt. Staying close by and was looking for a quick late night bite. Wings: Way too salty. Just could not do it! Water please?…. Never came. Shrimp tacos: marginally better with less salt. They were ok. Back to the wings, they were also old. Just old wings re-dropped into a fryer. Left half the order due to salt and age. I never leave reviews. But sitting here waiting forever for a bill started me thinking. Sorry guys, I just can’t waste my money here on such foods that are so simple to make fresh and then come out subpar. Place was clean, friendly bar staff, nice atmosphere, zero other issues.

My niece and I stayed at the attached Hampton hotel and we came down for dinner. Our server, sorry forgot her name, was sweet, attentive and very friendly. Platinum haired young lady. Our meals were fantastic, fresh, creative, and my salad was amazing. All in all a wonderful dining experience. I even had a draft on tap WHAAAAAAT? it's been years since I have, and it was fresh crisp cold and really good thank you, ill remember you next time I'm in Vancouver for sure. God bless

We’ve gone for dinner multiple nights with consistently wonderful food and service. Excellent value. Food and drinks are delicious, reasonably priced (and FAST) with a special touch to make them extraordinary. Atmosphere is welcoming, clean and comfortable. Service is unpretentious and speedy. Everyone is attentive, friendly and happy. Great team! We loved the Caesar salad, calamari, burger and steak frites the best. The cheesecake is also worth making room for, delicious! My partner thought the Caesar drinks were unique and tasty.

Very poor experience with the waitress/hostess. Someone put our reservation under the wrong name and she was very rude. Completely refused to listen to us or check the phone number. The within earshot insisted she wouldn't take our table (obviously to avoid a bad tip). Then halfway through our meal we get a phone call from them wondering where their reservation is. When we told them we were right there sitting in the tables by the door they didn't offer to make up for it. Food was just okay. Would not recommend based on their seriously poor management.
Food was way overpriced and food was the saltiest thing known to man. For 8 small chicken wings, 16$ is a decent deal but their wings had a laughable salt content that's not even funny. Their chicken burger was fine but their fries were like fingers dipped in salt and gave them a little shake. The only thing that did not make me beg for water are the fish tacos, they were done nice. Would not visit again, everything was good but food was like licking sand.

I went here today with my husband. I asked what they would recommend as a vegetarian. They suggested making the Thai chicken stir fry without the chicken and istead they would add extra vegetables. It was rice, cauliflower, and tones of jalapeños. The extra vegetables was extra jalapeños. It was so spicy I couldn't eat it and it left my mouth burning. How can you call it a stir fry when the only vegetables is cauliflower? They took it off the menu but I am surprised they would serve such food in the first place.
I honestly had never been here, never heard of it, saw it on google, thought the menu looked decent and it was near Rogers arena, we were going to a concert, so why not? This place doesn't deserve to be a "why not?" place. Plan to go here. I had the beet salad with chicken, yum. The secret garden cocktail, what genius made that up?! They need a raise! Loved everything. This is my new place before concerts for sure, if not more. I'd travel from my home in Coquitlam that hour for their food again!
Most of these reviews must have been written by friends. Visited on the 24th of July and the food was terrible. The mac and cheese my friend had was OK, but the chicken smelled like it had been burned not cooked on a VERY DIRTY grill. One of the people I was with actually wanted to go back to the kitchen and ask the chef to eat the chicken - it was that disgusting. Lack luster atmosphere as well. To give credit the chicken salads were taken off our bill and the hostesses were very nice.
We were staying in the Hampton Inn above Bogart's so, it was a natural place for us to drop in for a drink one afternoon, and boy are we glad we did! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, they had sports going on two giant screen TVs, and their house red wine was one of the best we had tasted. While we didn't eat there as we had already made other plans, both the indoor and outdoor seating areas were crowded each evening as we walked by so clearly it's a popular spot for dinner.
Came here before a concert at rogers arena on a whim and was blown away! The food was super delicious - wife and I shared the poutine, crab cakes and the cobb salad. Funky cocktails and a cool patio for people watching. Smaller place but it wasnt too busy when we were there (5 pm, 7 pm show at rogers) Pro tip: get your poutine gravy on the side, it keeps the fries crispy and you control the ratio for a perfect gravy-cheesy-crispy trifecta. 100% will be back!
I often come here for lunch and am on a mission to try all their gf options on their menu. This place cares about making you a celiac friendly meal. They have a dedicated fryer and have made decions about their batters. Their calimari, fries, wings (and much more) are all gluten free! They don't have gf bread but are happy to make you a lettuce wrapped sandwich. I'll continue to come back here as I feel safe eating here and love their food :)
Disappointed such a classy looking restaurant at such a prime location seriously lacks quality in customer service. I walked in here with my family given the atmosphere and overall look of the restaurant I was expecting the customer service to be on par with that and to my dismay, I’d put them on par with a 2 am McDonalds run type customer service. Not the right sauce, long wait in between meals being served. Pick it up guys.
I assumed that a place so close to BC Place would be just another bar/restaurant with average pub fare and expensive drinks. Wrong - Bogart's is fantastic. The servers are friendly and welcoming, the food is fantastic at the price point (with some good vegetarian options throughout the menu), and their drinks fairly priced with great specials. Highly recommended, whether you're on your way to the stadium or just in the area.
My wife and I were passing through Vancouver after traveling all day, and we wound up in The District. A very friendly server named Tarun took care of us through Roasted Duck Poutine, Shrimp Linguine, and a District salad, all of which were delicious. Great food and friendly service! If The District wasn't so far from Texas, we might be regulars.

Service was lacking, waiter walked past us repeatedly when we were clearly finished. Their special I had was a chicken sandwich with a Molson beer, which could not be changed to any other beer (even for an upcharge). Fries were mediocre and tiny portion. Chicken sandwich was ok but nothing special, not very flavourful. Could have went to popeyes and had a tastier meal.

Compared to Hawksworth or L'Abbatoir, this place is not that spectacular. But the reason that I gave it 5/5 is because it exceeded my expectation *so* much, I was in for an unprepared joy ride. First of all, don't be fooled by "small plates" and "pizza". The small plates are the equivalent of entries in most places. And the flat bread pizza are amazing. Definitely a great place to bring friends on a night out!
Food, drinks, and service were absolutely fantastic! We had Kirsten as our server and she was an absolute gem. Their system was down for a bit while we were waiting to take our food up to our room but we were in no rush! Kirsten kept checking in on us to make sure our drinks were full and that it should be back up soon. I would recommend the shrimp linguini, chicken sandwich, and baja shrimp tacos!!
Wanted to eat at local seafood restaurant but because of the tastes of the group was dragged here! What a surprise! Beer was great and the seafood linguini as good as anywhere else I have tried! Servers were attentive and another asset to this great place. I recommend you visit, especially if you have a group that have mixed food tastes as everyone in our party of 6 were more than happy!
This place has amazing food. People give it bad reviews bcs they’re often under staffed after games or shows at B.C. place but if you arrive when there are no game crowds the service and food are excellent and I’m super picky. Highly recommend. Tonight they were under staffed but Matt went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you to the handsome Scottsman Matt!!
Prepare for a long wait!! We had to wait just to be waited on! It wasn't like it was a busy day maybe 1 couple in the restaurant and 4 to five people outside. Took them 15 min to come over and take our order and 40 min to receive our food. It sat on the line for 15 to 20 min, While the waitress was chatting with her friend outside. Long story short, Food was ok, Service sucked!
Meal was great, waitress was great, but after our meal we ordered some desert. After 30 minutes, our waitress apologized for the delay, and we said we’d still take the deserts but we’d pay the bill now so we wouldn’t have to wait after, which she did, and thankfully didn’t charge us for the desert. But, 20 minutes later, still no desert, so we left, thoroughly annoyed.
It was delicious! Had the grilled chicken prosciutto sandwich with a side garden salad. Simply delicious! And their coffee. By far the best coffee around. I should have asked what type it was so I could pick some up for home. It was a Warm and relaxed atmosphere, makes someone like me from up north feel a little more relaxed within the hustle and bustle
Spent a few days in Vancouver this past week and found this place much by mistake, and WOW am I ever glad we did. The hostess and serving staff rock a 10 out of 10 and delivered a fantastic atmosphere. We had a truly great dinner with drinks. Next time I am in Vancouver I will be back. Well worth a stop. Thanks to Kirstn for a memorable meal.
Small bar area, fireplace, multiple TVs. The spinach artichoke was excellent. Loved the gnocchi's pesto mornay sauce. The gnocchi is dense and large, you should order if you are really hungry. It will fill you up. The cuban sandwich was very good too. Our servicer was excellent. He checked in often and at the right times.
Had no expectations going in. Waited 20 minutes to order food. The bar tender served me but there seemed to be confusion with who will serve me. The spicy chicken sandwich was okay and i didnt taste any spice or heat. The fries tasted stale and off. Won't go back.

Reasonably priced delicious food. The Whiskey Sour I ordered was citrusy and delicious and the seafood linguini was rich and creamy with a generous portion of the pasta, mussels, shrimp and salmon. The service was also very good and I appreciated the restraunts choice and volume of the music.
Stopped for a bite to eat before heading to a concert at Rogers Arena. Excellent location to BC Place, Rogers Arena and shopping. Friendly, clean restaurant and food very tasty. Hot wings were definitely spicy and the pizza was a nice light thin crust with crimini mushrooms and prosciutto.

Went for the dine out Vancouver deal. My halibut was good but my wife’s hanger steak was terrible. Appies both good and both desserts disappointing. Mixed drink prices ridiculous. Atmosphere very average. Mixed experience overall. Won’t be returning…value just isn’t there.
Food and drinks were fine, but we waited 40 minutes to get served. The poor server was completely over worked which of course wasn't her fault but management needs to have enough staff on hand. 4 stars just because it doesn't deserve to overly discount their total score.
Food is really fine, flavorful and with a good visual. Dessert are delicious. The place is clean and service good. My only bad point will be the presence of too many tv screen and music a bit too loud for me (still able to talk normally thought). I recommend that place.

Love this place mostly for their cauliflower, chicken wings and brussel sprouts, but I haven't been let diwn with anything else on the menu either. If your staying for the meal or just waiting for your take out, try the negroni; you won't be disappointed.
I’d give this 6 stars if I could. Great food, attentive service, well tested menu. The spiced green beans are to die for, the chefs proudly scratch cook all their meals. Best crab cakes anywhere in the northern hemisphere. A must visit when in Vancouver.

Food was delicious and our server(an Irish guy by the name of Steven) was attentive to all our needs, we couldn’t say a bad thing about his manners and professionalism. We will definitely revisit and appreciate all his tips and advice about Vancouver.
Super rude waiter:) came here on Nov 25 , she told us that some dishes are out of stock and final point was that after my question she told “I have no idea what you are saying”. Are you serious ? Is that the way the customers should be treated ?

One of my absolute favourites! The food is just incredible. The staff are friendly and attentive. The menu is fantastic, they have something for everyone.Overall, the quality of the food is outstanding and the prices are very reasonable.
We have had great service here, and really decent food. They have cauliflower wings! They're a bit over-battered, but I'm just stoked an older place is trying to get with the times. Their salads are amazing. Definitely worth a visit.
Service was okay, food was also okay. When we asked to take the food away we we provided with an empty box and had to pack the food ourselves. Not the end of the world, but definitely contributed to an overall meh experience.
Went in late August while in Vancouver for the Dota 2 International Incredible food, the ribs I had were tender and fell right of the bone, awesome sauce as well. If I lived anywhere near Vancouver I'd definitely go again
I come here for the best veggie burger in town. Its hand made with beans, cheese and spice with the perfect toppings. You can tell its made in house and not some soggy mess you find at other venues. Great service too!
Stopped in here 3 times on a 5 day trip to Vancouver. The food was great, Very nice selection of beers. The bartender was great and Tamitcha (spelling) was fantastic, as well. Will definitely be back on every visit.
I used to be a chef at this restaurant when it was called Zachary's many years ago. Amazing food and service, soups, pizzas and pastas made from scratch per order. Miss this place since it changed. Cheers …
Pretty good place to go before an event at BC place or Rogers arena. Definitely wouldn't go out of my way but I'd go back if it was convenient. Food was good and they have decent selection for beer.
Let me start with the service….When my sister and I walked in, the server welcomed us very warmly. The food was very much top notch and the service was way more than 5 stars. I would go back again
Tried the dyminate roll and it was one of the most driest rolls I have ever tasted. It was a real struggle to chew. Also tried the poutine and thought it was okay. The meat was also very dry.

Food is excellent here! We ordered hot wings, spinach and artichoke dip, mushroom risotto and the beef dip. They were all really delicious! Atmosphere is great too! We highly recommend!
Fantastic food and nice ambiance. The only issue is that the server speed is a bit slow due to the lack of workers. Tried both Bogart salad and beef burger. Both are highly recommended.
The food was fantastic and the service excellent. We found Bogart's on google. Will definitely go back for a meal when we're in Vancouver. Just down from the Sandman where we stayed.
Went with a group of people from work... Got the Mushroom Chicken Demi, it was a great presentation, and even better tasting dish. I will go back. I tipped because it was so good.
If you are looking for appetizers and a drink before attending an event at Rogers, this is a great choice. Really short walk to the arena and we all enjoyed the choices and food.

Stumbled into this place while just wandering. The beer selection wasn't bad. The burger was good. The fries were good. A solid place for lunch.
The food is tasty but they messed up our order and gave it to another table. I think it's because of a new waitress but it was a nice atmosphere
Pizza is thin crust which I prefer and is really good. Steak Frite is one of my favourites. One star removed because it gets too noisy to chat.
Just stopped in for after dinner drinks. Fun time. Matt was hustling but took the time to chat us up. He's never heard of Haggis Burritos. . .
Came in for the dine out menu, food was delicious and the service was amazing. Jason was a great bartender, my glass was never empty. 10/10
I ordered spicy fried sandwich and it was so delicious! The waitress was super friendly and we enjoyed our time here. Highly recommended.
Love this place. First time I came across a whiskey flight. Absolutely loved it. Food was really good. Friendly staff made it all better.
Best risotto I have ever had. Front end staff seemed chaotic. Looking for menus and condiments. The kitchen backed up the team for sure.
Thanks Matyus and Todd our great server for taking such great care of us and our little dog. So great to have her with us on the patio!
Great food. Not a vegetarian, but had the veggie burger and was very impressed. Great service, and comfy atmosphere. Would go again.
My favourite pre-Whitecaps spot. Very good beer list, great food options. Superb location and excellent staff. Two big thumbs up.
Great staff, great food, amazing cozy atmosphere. Great place for pre/post game drinks. Also great place to watch the game from.
Great service. The food was ok but given the price it was a steal. A must go place if you are down for a match in Rogers arena
Loved the atmosphere. Late evening- fast service, tasty delicious salad. Chicken breast was tender Freshly brewed coffee ☕️
The service was excellent ,The beers were good, the bartender was consistently and persistently nice, and I loved the food.
Food was ok, but service very slow. Food was being left on the pass for up to 10 minutes, don't go here if you are hungry.
I’m so glad they are back. The Buffalo Cauliflower has a thin and crispy batter and the cauliflower is not over cooked.
Burger tasted homemade and all the appies we had were so good! Try the maple soy wings..YUM. Fun staff as well …
We ordered lunch from them many times, always great quality food, never a disappointment. It's on the top 5 list!!!
Good service, clean, value for money, great beers to choose from and friendly, helpful staff. Great time had by all
