This place has great deals on veggies and fruits. And at time other products depending on what u are looking for. The only problem is I had told a lady supervisor about bird droppings on the table where they have the bread rolls where they have the sweat bread. I told her there's accumulation of bird droppings and I noticed that people were putting the tongs that are used to grab the bread on top of that clear container shelf they put the bread in. I've notified them a month ago and been here every week after and still notice the dry bird droppings on that container. Now I don't even get the bread from there cause who knows if its been in the bread or the tongs have been on the bird droppings. And another complaint is that no one has customer service. They don't have a good attitude towards the customer and look like they don't want to be there. Even the supervisors at the little managers desk have the same attitude. Not sure if that's how their taught and upper management doesn't care. But I like the meat sold here. Those are the only 2 complaints I have. I wish I had none but it keeps happening every time I go. Which to me is important cause thats a health issue that bird droppings are there and not being looked at even after being told to a manager. And second customer service is very important in an industry like this to have good sales. And the ones with this attitude are the cashiers and managers. The people who stock the isles I've noticed say hi or are a bit friendlier. If I knew who to talk to to correct these 2 issues I would love for them to reach out and I would explain in more detail rather than on here.
I have to admit, I like to shop there because they carry stuffs but be warned because they will cheat you. You have to pay close attention. We bought 2 packs of strawberries and two pages of tortillas. The cashier placed the tortillas in one bag and the strawberries one. However, she place them two spaces between them so if you don’t pay attention, you will miss your bag of groceries. Then the total came to $11.17 and my husband handed the cashier a $10 bill and a $5 bill. The cashier handed me 3 quarters and a nickel. Rush back to begin check out the next customer. So we both total her she that we gave her $15 so she opened her register and handed us $3. The receipt clearly show that she received $15 and the change due was $3.83. Still she shorted us the $.03. Yea, yea. You are going to say it’s only 3 cents. Ask yourself this question, if they do this to everyone who shop there, how much do they rack in in a day. If you short them the 3 cents, will they let you get their products? It’s dishonesty. It’s cheating your customers.
I went in to find fresh chicharrones or the meat to cook them (trying something new) and it was similar to a Fiesta. Service cleaned and very busy. I walked through the store just browsing and wasn't impressed with prices but I get it. After checking out seafood area and restaurant area, which both were extremely busy...I went over to fresh meat department and was disappointed. The smell this day seemed to be spoiled meats and dirty stale mop water mixed. I immediately left out without purchasing anything. Now this may have been a sewage issue but I wouldn't know and that was my only visit. You go and experience it for yourself.
If you are a Latino...or not! You can find a lot of good stuff there. THE BEST... FRESH, really fresh! fruit, vegetables, herbs, tamales, different kind of Latino cheese, sweet bread, etc. FOOD You can actually seat and eat there, they have a good size eating area. They have a fixed menu of home made traditional Mexican food and fruit drinks. You can also buy the delicious "carnitas" and make your own tacos at home. THE BAD... The lines are long, sometimes they don't have enough registers open. But, still worth the trip because the prices are good. I get more bags full of good staff at El Rancho than when I go to Walmart.
Great prices. I did have a problem with one of the people in the food section, my grandma is elder she is unable to walk anymore her favorite food is from this place I didn't know what she wanted so I took a picture of the menu to send to her one of the cooks came out and started screaming at telling me I cannot take pictures and that I need to get out, I tried to explain to himthat I was only there because my grandma asked me to take a picture of what food they had because she wanted to try something different she cannot walk. Other than that I really do love this place prices are good and good taste great
To many people in line for checking out,its time for there manager to keep up with times... like automated scanners to check out as soon as possible. To avoid long waits on check out lanes. The parking lot in particular for this store its a nightmare with so many people going there I had to do so much searching to find a parking place. That it aggravated my time just going to (El Rancho Supermercado". please do something about it and make it enjoyable to do my grocery shopping there. Or there is always that other store on airport freeway that has scanners to check out.
I've passed by El Rancho for years but today I finally went in looking for a Cornish hen. I didn't find it but I was shocked at all they had inside. A full to go Mexican restaurant with a very long line. A large bakery with some of the freshest cookies ever and a large variety of Mexican and Central American baked goods. Their cakes look fabulous with fresh fruit on them and Tres Leches. Wish I had taken pictures. They have an old fashioned butcher shop with all types of meats that are usually not found in American markets. Next time I go I'll take pictures.
Everytime i go its ONLY for there Agua Horchata its AMAZING sometimes it tastes like soap but when it doests its so good i stopped shopping there because its ALWAYS TOO PACKED AT CASHIERS and the MEAT has always been bad when i go or it doesn't cover all the wic items the wic list has I think they should have at least one manager for each department who can go take care of servicio when theres a problem and at least add a self checkout or more workers
The best Freshest market I’ve ran into in a while , they have an amazing selection of fruits and vegetables, a handmade fruit juice area and even a section where they make freshly made food and tortillas! I really enjoy coming here for fresh meat and chicharron! Delicious cakes and amazing baked goods ! I’m absolutely obsessed with the fresh tortillas they make and they have delicious home made food just like at your grandma’s house , don’t miss out come try it out today!
I was so excited to have a new one built in the north side. But then when I ordered my meat, they went to the back and inside the double doors and brought out my meat. I didn't ask why, I just thought maybe that's how they do it. Once I got home and started cooking it: it smells like death!!!!! I guess they gave me the old meat. I wish Code Compliance would check this place out more than they do. It's not safe, please be very careful what you buy from this store!!!!!!!!!
Went in to buy my menudo like I do every Saturday, as I walked in I noticed a really good price in watermelon, took a pic with my phone and a manager asked me what I was doing. I told him I was sharing the amazing price with my wife, he told me I couldn’t take pictures. I told him that it was poor customer service and that I would no longer shop there, left without spending a dollar and will no longer give them my money.
Less than zero☆ if you don't mind flies in the showcases and iffy unstable meat from the meat market, SALMONELLA central right there ewwww. How in God's great green earth does the city of Fort Worth allow this place to remain open? THD needs a heads up indeed. Heed my advice seek another place we all know there are plenty more Hispanic grocers than can accommodate your needs that are within ethical and city codes.
Excellent place to buy Hispanic groceries and artesian products. The food is good close to home made. Fresh tortillas made daily, fresh squeezed juices. They have a seating area to eat in the grocery store. They have a well stocked deli with fresh dairy products and frozen favorites and some deli meat. I come for their various meat selection at butchers department at a good price. They have weekly sales too.
Watch the meat where numbers are taken. I took home what looked great, but was obviously spoiled when I opened it thirty minutes later. Smell and look at it before you leave. I believe they have great prices, great employees, but just check the meat. The return was handled graciously, but if you are in a pinch for a family meal with guests, that does not matter. Check your purchase before you leave.
My favorite grocery store. Has a great butchers awesome cafeteria and juice bar and the produce is good quality and great pricing. If you shop at Kroger I'd give these guys a try. Edit: they've updated the store. It's brighter, the aisles are wider and their selection is still fantastic. They now have bagged AND bulk Chiles to boot. Bi still wholeheartedly recommend this store!
El rancho sucks !! My mother fell on their wet floor with No signs and they dismissed her ! She fractured her knee !! Acted like it was her fault for not looking or did it purpose ! Now El rancho wont settle and her medical bills pilled up!! BEWARE if you fall on their wet floors and get injured you’re SCREWED !!! I will never step foot into any El rancho stores !
The prices displayed are not the same prices that display on the screen when scanned. The cashiers also have an attitude. They never seem to want to work there. The prices are way more expensive than Kroger and other similar grocery stores. They do have more Latin based products, I’ll give them that. But I would definitely not return for my everyday groceries.
I like the atmosphere and the products sold here. It was more so the way some employees treaded me. I'm Hispanic and unfortunately I don't speak Spanish fluently. The cashier was very sweet to me, but it was when the manager and supervisor came to speak to me I felt uncomfortable. Feeling belittled by your same ethnicity isn't the greatest feeling.
What a complete experience of a supermarket. I would like to have one of these stores in my town. This is a truly a Mexican grocery store. I've been to many in Chihuahua City so I really know what I'm talking about. Many choices of fruit and vegetables, meats, cheese. A bakery and tortilla factory on site. I was impressed with so much variety.
Is a great place to buy you're food. Great prices. Is a great place to get hot food to go and you can pay there is great time saver. The only bad thing is the check out lines have to stand in line for 20+min. Most cashers are rude don't even say hi or bye or thank you none. They say that's it any more? But with a attitude not all of them tho
Went there once and won't return!! I waited 30 minutes to buy 5 lbs of chicken wings on Monday. Once I went to freeze them on Wednesday, not only did the chicken smell like ROTTEN EGGS, but they also gave me pre cut portions of ALL FLATS! I had a much more pleasant experience at another location. I won't waste my time or money here again.
This store is HORRIBLE!!! No one ever helps you, they never greet you or even speak to you while you are paying. The food tastes old. I went to pick up a cake I ordered the girl looked at the recite 3 times and still asked if I paid for it, hello I just handed you the recite!! The prices are rediculas! Will NOT be going back! EVER!
They have a waiting period average of between 5-10 minutes in the checkout lanes which is good, the store is always clean, the foods are great from the kitchen. The men's restroom is a bit small, but the prices of the products are decent as well. And there's always a lot of pretty women here too. I recommend this place to anyone.
Very clean, organized just know this it's very busy could use a better way of flow. Instead of front to back line for the merchandise they should try from side to side it would open up there space and also there flow with people coming in and out. Great prices the employees are very well mannered.and I love the culture.
This place is great! Phenomenal atmosphere filled with a lot of Mexican culture. Don't be mislead by the negative reviews written from ignorant people complaining about the language barriers, there are employees that speak English. And of course lets not forget 'las pretty chicas' That surround the area ;)
Too crowed some of the ready made food was gross like Spanish rice I think I found a roach leg and the tortillas seemed they were fresh but when you open them up seem to me the machine they would use to make the tortillas is dirty because every other tortillas had black ⚫ stuff on it !!! …
Love this place I always come here for their breakfast Tacos and sometimes during lunch hour. I definitely recommend this place, it may get very busy sometimes but the food is worth the wait especially if you like the creamy hot Sauce. On the weekends its carnitas day stop by and grab you some.
Packed and filthy. We used to go to by giant glasses of their delicious fresh juices, but today they were so sugary I could feel the granuals in my mouth. We had watermelon, pineapple and mango creme which was the best, yet still bad - sweet and fake. Disappointing experience all around.
Good place to shop for a variety of things, or to grab a quick bite to eat. Specials every week and very budget friendly when it comes to meats, veggies, produce. There certainly are better choices, however, you just have to know what and what not to buy from here …
Wanted to go and check it out...employees were not very friendly and they were actually a little rude to me, but the meat counter is amazing. If you are looking for a great meat/butcher selection...they have it. Just don't expect much in the way of customer service.
Yes parking can be bad and it's hoodish but the reality is the food i get there is on point. Tasty food, good product, and all the spices you'll need to make plenty of family feasts...I like it. Not used to latin food check it out. Try something different.
So, I'm limited mobility and I use the motorized shipping cart and do use a wheelchair. How am I supposed to get the cart from this store? How will I get back to my car if it's not allowed to go outside, there's a pole preventing it from leaving the store?
Ok, frist of all the section where all the sugars are is RAN OVER by cockroaches! I counted at least 8 on the package I wanted to take. The meat section smells as if the meats are not properly refrigerated. Nasty!!!!!! I will never go here again sorry!
The place is good but they need to put the cashier to work because is always pack and the lady's i see they work there but they are just walking and they don't open more cashers that's the only problem they have in there everything else is …
Really like this place, prices are always good very! But always busy and the staff is not to friendly, could use more friendly staffing, greeting is highly important. Although could use better and cleaner isles . Making shopping experience great.
A great example of an ethnic Latin American grocery store. All the signs are in Spanish with English subtitles. There's just about anything a family would want, from a bakery, fresh deli, sea food, produce, canned goods, dairy, meats, and
Not complaining about the stuff they have . The reason I am rating it 1 star is just ridiculous the time you have to wait in line to pay. Out of 11 registers only 3 open have to wait in line for almost 20 minutes. PLEASE HIRE MORE STAFF...
The store is good when looking for the things you need. Love that the store is always clean but have to give it 3 stars because check out is absolutely horrible. I've waited at the most 20 min to check out. There 13 paying station and at
Watch for the specials. Last weds they had 25 limes for a $1. T bone steak $2.99. Thick cut pork chops 69 cents lb. For the week. Veggies gotta look. canned goods best know your prices Altogether good prices on meats large selection
Parking lot is consistently packed with no organization causing chaos and extremely long lines throught the day. It's a supermarket and I go to get what I need if I can't get it anywhere else but otherwise I avoid the trip there.
Love the low prices but I was in the restroom with my 3yr old son and a worker was washing her hands and then shook the water on me and my son which i found rude. But other than that all the other workers were a peach …
Always security present in the front the selection as well as the customer service is always amazing I visit the store quite often they are always professional and courteous not just one or two of the staff but all of them.
A good selection of fruits and veg also authentic Mexican seasonings and its the only place I buy my crema y queso from and the staff is usually very friendly not to mention they have a great elote stand in the front
This store has the best produce department I've seen in a long time. Everything was fresh in the produce, I was shocked as to how much better their fresh vegetables and fruits were compared to larger food chains.
So happy to have found this location. The pastellas counter, area is delicious. I spent at least an hour drooling and picking items. It is worth going to the larger store like these to find the items you crave.
It's a great grocery store to get all your Mexican favorites. They also have items that you will not find in American stores. I gave it four stars because they are higher priced than other grocery chains.
The products they sell are good and they have good prices but damn the place is a mess, so crowded and only two cashiers open? It's takes longer to pay than get all your groceries. I hope they get better
I feel bad for the cashiers. The managers and supervisors are VERY VERY unprofessional. They act like high schoolers!! They need to be fired or demoted. Stupid bullies… is some of what I’ve witnessed!
One of my favorite places to get fresh produce and a good price. All the employee's are very nice. Really great deals, should always go to get you fajita meat here, haven't found a better place for it.
Nice selection of fresh produce. Huge selections of chili powders, dried chili pods, canned chilis, and fresh chilies. Deli on-site for quick meal. Huge selection of fresh cheeses and fresh meats.
If you like Mexican food they have some of the Barbacoa around with their own fresh tortillas and salsa. The store has an amazing meat department that you have to check out before your next BBQ
Great prices and loved their vegetables but they never have enough cashiers. It's seems like th management team enjoy having long lines and seem shoopers walking away from their shopping cart.
This store is always clean, and has efficient and excellent service. Even at the carnicería and the other food shops inside. However waiting in those lines to check out *shudder* not good.
The prices here are excellent, but the checkout lines and the isles are extremely crowded. I would rather pay more money for a more comfortable shopping experience somewhere else.
I went with my spiritual mother. She and I got some champurrado and chicken tamales there. I prefer pork tamales pero they had ran out. I need to get there early next time. …
I go there to buy all of my dry chilli for my enchiladas and posole. And flour to make tortillas and I also buy my spices to make Mexican rice. Very very busy on Sunday.
Product are good but the lady's in the aguas frescas are very unprofessional, rude and especially this one lady always mad because customer stops to buy aguas so so rude
This is a well stocked store with an amazing meat and seafood counter. There is an instore deli with tables to sit and eat, many baked goods and fresh prodce.
Wonderful selection of unique items such as cactus and Chiles. The meat department is also well stocked with marinated meats and other good stuff. Try it out.
Great place, lots of items. The bakery and fresh produce collection was impressive. There is a small deli inside as well for those who crave Mexican cuisine.
Very clean stoe and nice and friendly cashiers . One thing is that their agua de pistacho was tobwatered down it tested more like watered down milk and sugar
The food is amazing and the horchata. It has everything I'd ever need to eat, me and my family shop there very often. Lots of candy and spices we love it.
Straight up Mexican market. Immerse yourself in the real deal Mexican market. Fresh fish to dried fish. Tropical fruits you can't find anywhere else.
The have a little restaurant there that has some amazing food. We went around 9:30am and there was a good sized line because the food is so amazing.
Go get the flour and corn tortillas!! FRESH & HOT daily! Their bakery items are delicious too! Meat counter is great--their chorizo is tasty ! …
Love the store, hate the long, confusing check out lines!! Store needs to train more on Customer Service, to ALL SHOPPERS not just Spanish speaking.
I feel like this location needs more people on register, the lines are so long. I mostly go for the pan and I think they should have more variety.
Everything is good BUT the lines are so big that the long wait in the cashier just is not worth it. They need more cashiers it's to many ppl.
Great prices and an amazing selection of a little bit of everything you could ask for. The best prices for limes hands down …
There is only two registers open ! While employees are everywhere socializing! Terrible service for such great products and pricing
Delicious food! We come on Sundays to buy breakfast and the tacos are great!!! So if everything else!. The agua frescas are great.
This is definitely going to be my new go to store to get peppers. I mean these guys literally have all kinds of pepper imaginable.
Love to go here and find Spanish food ingredients that you can't find in Walmart or Tom Thumb. Great prices on everything too!
My Tia Orpha would have loved it. EL RANCHO reminds me of Texcco México. RIP Tia Orpha te Amo …
Good prices and quality frozen foods particularly. Fresh produce is a good buy also. The staff is helpful and friendly.
Very good selection of produce and meats. Customer service is great. Aisles are narrow and parking is not your friend.
I enjoy coming here I always get everything I need from these store there's always parking space. Keep it up guys!!
Well shopping at el Rancho it's the best at All service, Attention, from All the workers and Cashiers are Exelent.
This grocery store is really big, and has really fresh food. It's been updated recently and it looks really good!
Small scale isle even when not to crowded it still seems crowded .....good parking however and decent prices
Always find fresh meat! Everything is fresh recommend to go on Wednesday is cheaper than regular days!
I base a grocery store off there produce section. El Rancho has a nice clean produce section.
It's definitely always busy, but at times, you can find good deals on their produce and meat,
Love the atmosphere. And the people there outstanding. But the prices are even better. Lol
The best tamales, tortillas, chips, guacamole, and meat. I LOVE going here for so much.
Great market, best produce around & love the bakery. Can be a little crowded sometimes.
Homemade Tortillas. Salsa . Horchata, Ceviche, Pork rinds, Leche Cakes, Mexican Bread,
Mostly Mexican grocery store. Vegetables are a lot cheaper and ready to grill meats.
You find a lot things but expensive, be aware of employees, some are extremely rude
Good place to buy meat at cheap prices bit not fruits and vegetables - low quality
Went there for tamales. No tamales available. They said try again tomorrow
If you like waiting in line for hours this is the place to go!!
Great place to find products geared towards the Hispanic market
Good prices but there is always a big line to check out.
Crowded isle's are wayyyyy to small uncomfortable
Good selection. Friendly employees
Great place. Clean and safe.
