I do understand that the embassy do not answer the phone, and that is why I gave 4 stars. However, if you keep calling them continuously they will answer and send you the attested or legalized documents. And to help you with one of the most important question. Does the UAE embassy require Canadian birth certificated to be attested by Global Affairs Canada, the answer is NO. First step is you simply send your Canadian birth certificate to its relevant health departments such as BC Authentication for British Columbia and have it authenticated. And if your child was born in Ontario, you can visit Official Documents Services in Jarvis street in Toronto and get your birth certificate authenticated. After the authentication, you do not need to send to Global Affairs. Simply follow the instructions on UAE embassy website, pay them online, do a print out of the payment you made, and send it with the attested or authenticated birth certificates with a prepaid Canada Post express envelope. It can take between 7 days to a month, so it is advised to keep calling them and ask them to attest asap, and they will do it. I hope this was helpful.

So the only reason for 3 stars is because of the incredibly professional, patient and proficient women at extension 226. Otherwise -5 stars due to the lack of compassion, the lack of organisation, and the lack of effort displayed by other employees. Our incredibly important documents were “lost”, we were told we weren’t important and that the embassy was “too busy to help”. The light at the end of the tunnel is the incredible woman at 226. She is very professional and methodical. Without her we would have been completely lost so big thanks there.

I am really impressed by the level of professionalism at this embassy. I dealt with many embassies before. None of them even bothered to answer my phone call or email. This one is like no other: I had a lot of inquiries in regard to the legalization process of a degree and got replies as well as guidance by email right away, sometimes within 5 minutes!! Believe it or not! Many thanks to the embassy's staff who are there for us! I appreciate their time, effort and patience in helping me with the attestation process.

Just ridiculous!!!! No words can explain how bad and poorly managed this Embassy is. Like many have said, no one answers the landline, no one responds to emails, and what's worse the lady who picks up the call doesn't even give you the chance to speak. She will speak over you with no respect to what you have to say. We have been trying to process a document for over a month now with the result leading us to reapplying AGAIN!!! UAE really needs to look into this and find some sort of solution!!! It's obsurb!!!

They Almost never pick up phone calls, and you can't leave a message as the message box is always full...I kept calling them several times every working day for 2 weeks contenious just to ask them to send me a pay link (they don't have a proper payment gateway), they responded 2 times only, and in these 2 times, they said they would send the link, but they never did!! They don't respond to emails either So frustrating

Our firm Redstone Legal Services were amazed by the amount of professionalism by the employee of the UAE embassy in OTTAWA. They are extremally helpful, and knowledgeable staff that are always willingly helped and answered all our concerns in getting documents legalized by the embassy.

Worst embassy iv even experience..never pick up call..no email back.ext 231 he gave me hope every week get my # never call me back.i sent only 1doc but they never give me an answer at all and its been 4weeks which is online the processing take 5-7days.very disappointing

Don't walk in, they won't let you in due to COVID. They gave me the numbers I am attaching to call between 10:30-2:30, a lady answered my call and took my email address to send me some instruction, never received!

It is very hard to get them to answer the call and if they call they promise to call back and never call back.. waiting a simple attestation of birth certificate for a month and still no track!! Horrible

Surprised to see some reviews, complaining about no response of calls or email, I encounter 2 times for attestation of documents and response was good, even they call back when scheduled with staff.

If I can give them less than 1 star I would give them half of a star. They don't answer the phone, nor the email. Also there is no option to leave a voice message. Very disappointing!

No one answers the phone, have to try different extensions. And when you do get someone on the line, they don't even let you talk and are in a rush to end the call. So rude
