The English Language Fellow (ELF) program provides qualified English language teaching professionals to institutions and universities for an academic year. Ma mère est allée à son rdv pour un visa B2 et l’agent consulaire a refusé de lui octroyer le visa sans meme lui donner un motif de refus spécifique et sans prendre le temps d’examiner son dossier. Pourtant ma mère venait juste pour voir ses petits fils (lesquels sont Américains) et passer de bons moments en famille. C’est vraiment désolant de voir ces agents consulaires se comporter de la sorte en regardant juste le faciès ( je pense juste que c’est une forme de discrimination). On se croirait dans les ambassades des pays européens (France, Italie… ). Quand on fait une demande de visa on pays les frais donc on paie pour un service et la moindre des choses c’est en retour de bien rendre ce service par forcément en octroyant le visa à tout le monde mais en prenant qu’en même le temps d’étudier le dossier de la personne.

This is US embassy and communication and pick are not allowed there in Yaounde. It is the place for visa interview. Application is done online and the place is to deposit your passport and interview. You most demonstrate a strong ties like professional work, family and business to get visa. The main worry is that the decision is too subjective(my personnal experience) because no proof are asked or no justification of your ties but decision is made in advance. So be prepared if not you can collapse. This my first time to be denied entry in a country. I have been in several as shown on my map and return in my home country fir my work, my business and my lovely family.

I wonder why all short-term visa applications for parents are automatically denied If they don't wanna give non-immigrant visa to parents please just disclose it so people don't waste their time and efforts for that. The funny thing is that they will grant immigrant visa to the same parents because most of the kids are green card or US citizens. Please get this for all, most of our parents just want to visit their kids in the US from time to time. They don't wanna stay. Please stop that nonsense.

One of the best built embassies in Yaounde, probably the biggest and most majestic. Courteous staff in line with US standards in customer service. Security is a bit paranoid making the place feel unfriendly at the gate. Inside, atmosphere is closer to normal US public service. Appearing a bit less uptight on security outside would make the place friendlier. More friends as opposed to more fear ultimately means more security for the US embassy and the USA. Overall very good.

I completely agree, i have been calling this embassy from a contact that was given us by them for like a month and above now. No one is responding . Secondly, i get charged multiple times off my airtime simply by listening to an automated voice service. Never have I seen a thing like that . Why put out contact information when no one is ever there to answer calls or even respond to emails.

Slow as hell and simply ridiculous. Do not follow their recommendation to do the medical 3 weeks before, do it at least 2 months before the interview because you might end up having to do a sputum test that’s takes 8 to 10 weeks to get results. They feel no urgency to issue visas to family members of tax payers US citizens. Just a stressful situation altogether

We pay a lot of taxes for the running of the embassy and every other organization but when we come in we leave unhappy and unsatisfied, the time on the web says something else and when you come at about 3hours before closing time the complain is the consulate is not available and so on…… some security guards expressing their arrogance all over the place….

Why is everything in cameroon so hard. Can't find where to pay Visa fees. The Embassy says fees should be paid at a participating Ecobank location but doesn't tell you which location is a participating location. Went to a location in Limbe the guy had no clue and referred me to a cyber cafe for help. So annoying.

They just show nice is the building but they aren't capable of giving an old lady a Visa who want to assist her daughter while she will be giving birth that a shame they just give it to people who lie to them

They’re customer service is horrible. They’re rude and entitled. If you can’t take care of customer on the phone nor have the patience for it then don’t apply for the job.

Stricte et la possibilité d'avoir un visa dépend du fonctionnaire consulaire. Assurez-vous de répondre à toutes les exigences.
