Before applying for my Estonian student visa, I see these negative stories and I say to myself that it won’t be my story. I was denied my visa 3 times. After my first application I asked the consular secretary what I could do and she said I could apply again. I applied again with more documents hoping my case will be well understood but I was denied again and again. Though people with experience in visa processes reviewed my documents and affirmed that I qualify for a visa. A Nigerian lady also shared her very bitter experience with me in Egypt. She even went as far as getting a referral from the ambassador but was still denied multiple times and she had a tuition waiver. Before choosing to go and study in Estonia be absolutely sure you can get a visa. It won’t matter how strong your application is, who can call or how much you appeal; they can still deny you.

Stay away from Estonian Embassy if you are Iranian. According to information shared by the Head of International Admissions at the University of Tartu, no Iranian applicants have been issued visas in the past two years, even for those who have secured PhD admissions with full funding. This decision is perceived as highly unfair. If you wish to verify this information, I recommend contacting the University of Tartu directly for further clarification.
