So there is something sketchy that was happening at this ellison location. I had seen another review of a person who had the same experience we did so I'll share. We had our storage unit broken into twice there. The first time we thought maybe it was somebody random as this can always happen. I was able to give a detailed timeline of when it was possible for them to steal the items inside of it (Was about a 48 hour period) and somehow they couldn't pull up the security cameras to do so. Decided to let the situation go for the time being even though a lot of expensive items were stolen. Fast forward about 9 months, we had dropped off a few more things into the storage unit (Had two locks on it). Literally I get a call from my wife the next day saying that our door was wide open, some of our boxes were scattered down the hall and we had been robbed yet again. This happened immediately after we dropped off items. There was absolutely no damage done to the locks, both of which were obtained through extra storage space. It became sketchy and weird that literally less than 24 hours later after we finally go back to store some more stuff that it was broken into. There was no way anybody knew we put more items back into that storage unit. At this point I suspected foul play from somebody at the job site. We decided to just move all of our stuff out of there. Also, insurance never paid out what was inside of the storage unit because they claimed they couldn't find the footage of it happening (what a coincidence). Just be warned, I've talked with other customers that had used this storage space and very similar things have happened to them. Use at your own risk as somebody inside is definitely stealing these items.

I rented unit 252 for approximately 6 years as I moved out of State temporarily. Covid has made it harder to get back to NM. I intended to rent another couple years approximately. Over the years we had issues with raising of rent as it doubled and other issues. If it weren't for my family protecting and monitoring my storage I would have been screwed. Luckily they were able to move my stuff out this weekend. With the storage money put aside for extra space we were able to buy a shed and have money left over. You figure they would value a long term faithful customer. However, they chose greed. I caution renting here for long term if you don't have someone there to watch over storage for you as there were many times issues came up like testing it seemed, so they could recover your storage. Luckily my family responded quickly and made clear it's protected. I feel bad for people who have no help and unable to respond risking losing storage. Please be cautious if renting here and keep close eye.

Renting an inside storage container after moving out of my apartment. Leslie was exceptionally helpful with getting me set up, she even referred to go a great moving service. It can be a little difficult to unload if there are many people in the drives, but never to where you can’t move your items as needed. The cameras along the hallways and driveways add an extra sense of security or at least a little piece of mind that your items are being watched over. Update 11/2/21: Unit was broken into. Everyone is still nice and helpful, but between the fire a few months ago and now this, be cautious moving in. Take a detailed inventory of what you leave there because the facilities insurance company is difficult to get a hold of.

The fact that they are right around the corner to my apartment is great. When I googled the location, I opened the website and filled out the info for a storage unit I needed for extra junk my wife and I have. Once I confirmed everything, I immediately got a call from Savannah at the facility. She called up about having me come in and check out the unit I reserved. I was already satisfied with what Savannah showed me and offered with my reservation (that including their insurance). The unit I reserved was a 5x5 unit and the location was very clean. Next thing you know, I signed up for the unit and got it paid that instant. It’s nice to see that I get a gate code to get into the gated facility.

Rented a space in June 2022. Extra Space doubled the rent in August 2022. Moved to a smaller unit in September and the rent doubled again in January 2023. Moving is back breaking work at our age. In September when we loved to a smaller unit we asked if the rates would increase anytime soon and Extra Space said "no". They should have said "we will be raising our rates in January". WARNING. Do not rent a storage unit unless you can secure a fixed rate for at least one year. Get it in writing and read the fine print. Better yet consider whether what you are storing is worth the rent. Could you save that money and buy stuff when you can keep it without paying for storage.

The process was very easy, quick and the price was great for the size of the unit. The unique lock was inside the unit, and ready for me to start loading my extra stuff into the storage unit. Very happy with this place. It's clean, and the door comes down over the lip, helping to keep the dirt and dust out of the storage space. Very happy with this place. Edit. Bait-n-switch. Just a few months in and now Extra Space is raising the rates 33%. I was told explicitly that I was NOT on an introductory rate, but now I find out, it was indeed an introductory rate. Beware the liars at Extra Space Storage corporate.

The manager Ken and assistant in the office Brittany have been amazing. Not only are they professional and courteous, but they have been extremely helpful thoughout my rental process. Brittany was qiuck and thorough when we rented our unit, she even was able to find us a great unit we could drive up to. Ken is a great manager, he always greets us with a smile and is ever diligent about keeping the facility orderly and is framiliar with all his customers which gives this facility some added protection. I have had nothing but a positive experience with Extra Space Storage.

The very first Storage company we visited for a quote and they had us at hello. Anastacia gave us a ton of information on units, insurance and amazing deals that change monthly (depending on unit sizes). She was able to hook us up with a 10x10 unit at an amazing price after receiving the FIRST MONTH FREE! Stephanie assisted us with our lease and showed us our unit today. We are very pleased thus far and definitely recommend giving them a call. They are extremely generous with their deals and pricing. I must not forget to mention their amazing customer service!

Very disappointed that we were forced to move after 6 years of renting faithfully. Covid took 2 years from us making it difficult as I'm in Hawaii and needed my stuff safe in NM. Makes no sense that our rent doubled!! Why? Not like there's maintenance or upkeep or anything like that to require doubled rent. You think it's a good thing you have a faithful tenant. I would not have moved out for another year. Your loss turned into a blessing for us. We used that rental money and bought a shed and still saved money. Greed gets you nowhere!

I recently was being charged for two storage spaces. I contacted Jason at 10340 ELLISON RD NW, ALBUQUERQUE, NM, 87114 location and he jumped right on the issue and helped get it resolved in 24 hours and a manager followed up as well. There can always be issues, which is a natural outcome of business services. It is how those issues are resolved that counts. I was very impressed and appreciative of Jason's attitude and willingness to help. I hope the other Extra Space Storage locations are run the same way. Great service and support!!!!

Hands down, one of the best experiences with customer service I have encountered. On the phone and in person, the staff is engaged, personable, and professional. With so many storage options, I'm sure any place can provide a place to keep your stuff. I was interested in getting a unit so I called new customer line Noah got all my information to Scott who promptly called me right away & had all the numbers for the unit was I interested in. Once I had decided it was the right fit for me Kimberly got me through the fastest rental agreement ever! It was all over the phone & through email & very quick! This facility is always clean, the staff has always been friendly and helpful. When I first started using Extra Space, I thought the unit was too small, so they happily rented me a larger unit. We'll why wouldn't they mind. Come to find out, that I was in such a hurry, that it just needed to be organized. After all sigtening and agreement was done, I ask to continued using the first unit...the manager said, without hesitation "No Problem". This place and its staff, absolutely deserves a 5 star rating.

Drove down from Santa Fe to put something away, and in classic fashion realized I did not have my key to the lock! Thankfully Shelby, with handsaw at the ready, cut through my old lock and I was good to go with a new lock in no time. Saved me 3 hours of driving and about $40 in gas! Prompt and fast to help, not mention very polite! First time I've had to step into the office since I first rented my unit 2 years ago and the service was exceptional. Thank you Shelby!!

It was so easy to get storage space with them. Just a few clicks and BAM, it was done. I went to the office where I encountered Angel. She was very professional and offered options to get setup and didn’t make me feel rushed at all. That’s important to me because I arrived just before they were closing on a Friday. I have to give a 5 star to this company who had hired Ray to work for their company. I walked in and to get some quotes on a storage space and I was kindly welcomed in and greeted. He did his best to get me the storage space that I needed. Being that I was shopping around and getting pricing, Ray granteed me my unit at a good cost. Not to mention his hard work and excellent customer service, I will definitely refer my family and friends to this storage company.

Excellent customer service - she called right away to confirm my reservation and processed my paperwork quickly. The facility is clean, safe, and seems almost new. They check the locks daily to make sure they haven't been tampered with, and everything is behind gates that can only be accessed by codes. The rental rates are also excellent - very competitive. We've been twice to put things in our storage unit and both times everything was great.

Great customer service from a lady named Lori! I accidentally broke my key off inside the lock! A quick signature of permission to cut the lock off, and not even 5 minutes later I was inside. The staff member not only promptly regained access for to my unit, she also made sure I had another lock to re secure the door. I thought it would take all day, but really took all of 5 minutes. Thanks Lori for the great attitude and the help!

Moving down from Oregon and found everyplace was packed and had nothing to rent. The staff here called around for me and found a unit I could rent with no contract and I was able to get my monthly payment back when I moved out of the unit. Unit itself was clean and they even provided their own lock for you. I have no complaints at all and if I need to rent another storage unit, I will be going back to them

They provided me a different unit right next to mine to put my belonging in. Ken the manager called to have the door fixed and it was by the next day. Clean and secure units on the property. They have a great attitude of helping their customers. Would recommend. Top notch!

The place was tidy and well kept. The lights were automatic and the staff monitor the area regularky. They are attentive wuen it comes to move out. I moved all my stuff out and within an hour Jason had seen the lock gone and the empty space and stopped my payments for me. He also submotted a reimbursement request since I had paid 5 days prior for the month, showing his initiative and attentiveness.

Friendly staff, secure, and clean facility. We’ve never had a storage unit that did not get broken in to. Today is a new day!!!! We retrieved our items today after traveling the country and it was all just as we left it. The unit was clean, our stuff was not dusty, and move out was easy. Was worried that I'd have to vacate after my introductory rate expired and the price went up by over 50%. Went in and spoke with the manager and he worked with me around a more accessible rate and I was able to stay in my unit. Really happy to find they were willing to work with me. Not sure about the other sites would do this, but the folks on Ellison really came through.

The manager was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Made sure the unit size was not to big nor to small to meet my needs. Was certain to make sure my property was securely stored with the proper lock and was correctly insured with the proper coverage. Leslie was all in all phenomenal all the way around. Had my storage here for almost 2 years they are nice and courteous when I have to interact with the employees and the place is always clean. They are understanding and they worked with me when I was going through some rough times and couldn't pay on time. You need a code to go in and to go out and i have never had my storage broken into.

I just rented a unit and had the privilege to work with Scott. Scott took the time to explain the cost, to include insurance and fees. Scott provide a map to my unit and also provided verbal directions. Scott was very friendly and took his time to answer all my questions. I would definitely recommend and refer a friend to this facility.

I am very happy with extra space storage and Ken Gill the manager. I am a contractor and moved from Santa Fe. I like the location. There is not a lot of traffic though the facility which makes it easy to park and access your storage. The staff knows me, treats me with respect and is always helpful. It exceeded my expectations.

Susan is a very nice and kind person to deal with. It was so nice of her to offer a refreshing cold drink on such a hot day with all the moving we had to do. There are rats and mice that come into the storage units as well a roaches, we had traps out and it has only been a week and caught SO many. The gate doesn’t even lock properly as well as black widows everywhere, we told the manager a week ago about it and they said they “sprayed”. Your belongings are not safe here.

They are very professional, informative and polite here. I was going through a rather difficult time and they showed me patience and compation when most just don't seem to care either way. They go the extra mile for their customers. I totally appreciate them They! They are simply the best! =0)

The manager is great, and I've even seen him personally outside the office with a broom, dustpan and trashcan cleaning up the property of screws, nails and trash. The property is very secure with two points of entry and exit, with a keycode needed for entry. Excellent place for storage.

More than thrilled with the process. Many people involved and your staff handled us all perfectly even though we were stressed. Only cons are the dumpster was off limits and the admin fee really sucks but we got the best rate in town. Our units were clean and we felt secure. Much love.

Very little room to maneuver a large vehicle, God forbid a Uhaul. No obvious security and if you rent online takes a while to find your unit. Constant rate hikes. This storage facility changed locks and send the keys to the wrong adress.
