At the beginning as I was trying to get a storage unit, I ended up calling after 6PM in order to get access. Had to go through a second person to finish up online as well as over the phone. As a Combat Veteran (I was having some problems) the customer service rep helped me out with no problems which was fantastic! (THANK YOU AGAIN) As I threw what I had, I returned a few days later with more of my stuff so I could start organizing what I had at the time...45 minutes later, the person ( guy) who was working that day ended up harassing me as well as falsely accusing me of many different things! I started to inform him that I was not doing what he accused me of (never listening to what I had to say) then he proclaimed that I was arguing with him & no matter what I said, I was wrong while he was always right. Then he informed me that due to the fact that I wasn't doing anything at all, that he was going to refund me what I paid for as well as telling me that I can go somewhere else just cause he assumed that I was "loitering" & using the unit for a place to stay & also assuming that I was a "bad homeless person"! So, I got fed up with his accusations & lies then told him that I was going to leave. As I informed him about me leaving, he stated to me that I wouldn't be able to come back within the next few days or he would call the authorities to get me arrested. I really don't appreciate everything about his falsely accusations & feel that I need to relocate to another place & NOT get harassed by this rude employee!

This is my first time writing a review. The door on my storage unit has been broken ever since I have moved my things in almost a year ago but that’s besides the point. Today I ran into issues getting the door open and no one was in the office to help so I had to leave and come back with the tools I needed to get it open. Totally fine, i’m not going to make a huge deal out of that. But as my mother and I were leaving, the heavy set man working (I believe Jason) was standing next to the gate code and the gate was completely open. We assumed we would just exit seeing that we already inputted our code to get in. He stands there and starts hollering about us putting in the code. We are a good 10 feet from the machine and he is literally standing right in front of it so we ask him to just put it in for us. He says “don’t know your code” and starts walking away. I told my mother to just drive through the open gate because that behavior is wild. I then receive a call saying someone used my code and “chuckled” when asked to input the code. Insaneeee. I call back and he threatened me saying that he will end the lease on my storage unit because of my “violations”. Im a young girl, I work two jobs, and have had the price raised on me twice since renting from extra space. Im not asking for anything from this, every other employee i’ve encountered has been great. I just think that Jason needs to work on his customer service skills and pick his battles rather than harassing women over something so insignificant.

I have worked around storage facilities for approximately 15 years. I have been to hundreds of different facilities, and have encountered just about every type of facility manager you can think of over the years. Cindy, the new manager at this facility was one of the most accommodating that I’ve ever met. The front office was clean and air conditioned, I was greeted immediately when I walked in, and she focused on detail with my paperwork without wasting my time. As we were working at our unit, she took the time to come check on us to make sure we were doing ok, and shared information to help the loading and unloading process easier for us. We didn’t feel like we were at a storage facility, but maybe an all inclusive resort. As we were checking out for the day, she helped finalize the paperwork again with great attention to detail, and even educated me on some storage facility information to make things easier for us in the future. I am a former insurance agency owner, and Cindy is the exact type of person I looked for to work for my agency. Here’s why. I could tell she wasn’t just there to get people out of her office and collect her pay check. She treats people like she wants them and their family to be a return customer for generations. Finding someone like this is like finding a needle in a haystack. I highly recommend this facility if you prefer to be treated with dignity and respect.

Today, Jason at Extra Space Storage helped me out. The whole process went very smoothly and when I had a concern, Jason quickly figured out a way to fix my problems making a very pleasant experience for me. He answered all of my questions and made sure I was able to rent exactly what I wanted with a very decent rate. He even helped me lock in a better deal than what was previously suggested by another customer service agent. Unlike competitors, Jason and others at Extra Space Storage answered the phone on the first try and were in office when I visited. Other companies I have tried were never in the office when I visited and did not answer the phone multiple times when I called. All things mentioned above helped in my decision making to rent with Extra Space Storage. Thanks so much for the lovely service, Jason! (It's hard to come by nowadays)

It may look like most storage places but they've got something nobody else has that makes this place pretty awesome: Wetshi! Seriously, he is fantastic; not only was he extremely knowledgeable and had an answer for all of my questions, he was very friendly and engaging and made my experience better than most face to face interface scenarios I've had in a while. The units are spacious, prices fair for the size and they don't make it impossible to catch up on your payments if you fall behind. Did I mention Wetshi? Staff of that caliber is like a unicorn steak- about as rare as it gets. And why settle for scraps when you could have unicorn? Highly recommend, could not be more pleased

I have had nothing but the best experience when dealing with this extra space storage. Though my experience wouldn’t be as great as it is if it weren’t for the storage manager Mr. Weshi! I went in with my mother to pay on her storage units. I had no intention on getting my own that day. By the time we left I had already been sold into my own storage unit. I must say the female employee whose name I believe is Cindy knows what she's doing and is genuine and very kind. It was the price of the unit that made me double think about it. Again I couldn't say no to her. I wish we could have more people like her in so many other businesses. The place was so clean and very well kept.. it made it that much more inviting. The professionalism that Cindy showed was above and beyond I went in cause I couldn’t find public storage and ended up rent with extra space there was no way I would leave and not do business with her! She goes above and beyond to show her loyalty to her customer and her company! I had a good experience with this Extra Space Storage center. I stored my car there. The two gentlemen in the front office were receptive and helpful and communicated well with me when needed. This location in Phoenix is not particularly the best or safest but, because of their diligence, I felt my car was being looked after and felt safe. I would bring it there again should the need arise. I will add to my first review. I have brought my car back to this Extra Space Storage center. The staff have been attentive and helpful and just pleasant to work with. Give them a try!

Ok so I think the only reason I rent my storage there was not because of its good location but because the peroson that actually sold it to me is an amazing person that is Weshi Baskom what an amazing guy great attitude since we came in to the door and left the door he was on top of thing and left and right. He showed us the property even if he was busy he took time to go further and beyond like what a great attitude. Every time I’m there just like day one always a great attitude and ready to get things done. I am very impressed.

I rented a unit online today. I drove in to pick up my locks as this unit is large & has two doors. The previous renter forgot to remove one of the 2 locks So they are going to have it removed today. when I come with a load tomorrow morning, my new lock will be on. And I can pick up my keys at the office. I had a pleasant experience. "Even though No one wants to have the need of a storage unit when moving!" They're on the ball here, and doing what's right & not dragging their feet about, means a lot to me!

I was in my unit to trade out work tools when across from my unit was I nice young lady named Cierra ... My time is valuable but I decided to ask her if their were any bigger units available.. as in the past the timing was never good ... She advised me of several units to choose from which she agreed to show them to me for ease of entry and access... Once I chose what would accommodate my needs she efficiently signed me up and set me up and was very thorough and professional... Cierra made my day .

My husband and I rented 3 large units from Nathalie, the manager, almost a year ago. As many of us have struggled during this pandemic, Nathalie has been exceptionally helpful, whether it was sending us reminders or making sure our payments posted to ensure we had access. Didn't Have The Unit I REALLY Wanted Available, It's Getting WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! AND The Manager Insisted that I Buy A LOCK From Them Even Though I ALREADY Had The Same Kind OF LOCK, NO LIGHT INSIDE THE STORAGE UNIT, EVEN THOUGH THERE'S LIGHTBULBS INSTALLED AND FOR $230.00 I THINK I DESERVE TO BE ABLE TO SEE INSIDE THE STORAGE UNIT AT NIGHT WHEN I NEED TO GET SOMETHING OUT OF THE STORAGE UNIT, THE MANAGER IS KIND OF RUDE, I DON'T THINK HE LIKES HIS JOB VEEY MUCH

Was fast and great...can't speak for night service they need security out there . It turns into a pretty scary place at night. Alot of street ppl hanging around there. Could be the shelter hotel next door to them. Which sucks ..but they are good. I don't like the roofing of our storages are basically chicken wire is why I cant leave my valuables there. So having to pay for more storage elsewhere wasn't planned but hey you get what you pay for I assume.

The process was easy. I completed everything from CA. The next day they called and verified and sent me everything I needed that day. Moved in to the 10 x 10 two weeks later. Fit a 900 sqft apartment perfectly. Cynthia Jones made move out even better. She was very knowledgeable. Especially since i needed to adjust my move out dates more than once. I will use this space again, seems i have too much stuff for my new apartment in AZ.

I can speak to the customer service. I’ve spoken with Jason and Steven on different occasions. Both were very helpful, informative and honest. Steven even helped me put the car cover on the car and made sure I had a ride back to the front. I don’t have a storage unit and I can’t yet speak to the security of the storage for my car. It looks pretty secure but, to be honest, it is in a somewhat rough neighborhood. Time will tell!

Customer service was beyond amazing, Dee Dee was understanding and showed compassion towards my situation. She took her time to go over everything with me and showed multiple units seeing how I was unaware of which would best fit my needs. I just moved to AZ from NJ and have had some bad luck that lead to me needing storage space but if I new anyone in this area I would 200% recommend them here and to ask for Dee Dee! Thanks!

When I called the telephone number, Mark answered and appeared to be an expert in customer service. He was very patient and thorough in explaining the contract over the phone. The contract is straight forward. About 10 minutes after I hung up, Manager Jason called from the actual property and welcomed me and asked if I had any questions. Jason also had excellent customer service skills. I thank them both for their help.

Jason was so helpful! He called to check my eta before move-in cutoff time. He thoroughly explained the rental details, showed me the rental space & how to access it as well as leaving/lock up, then went through the contract step by step. Very nice & accommodating! My move in day was on a Sunday, when the office is closed. I received my unit number and gate code, but no mention of an additional door code to access my actual unit. Customer service reached out to the store manager who I spoke with on Friday and still no mention of an additional code, and the code they were given still didn't work... and I already emptied my other storage unit, that was my bad I suppose.

Super grateful for this business. Heather was super professional, attentive, helpful, efficient AND friendly! On the eve of what could have been an insanely stressful holiday move, she facilitated getting me set up in Tucson—for a move-in to this site in Phoenix! Weshi was excellent! Great customer service, very polite, friendly, and helped assist our move out process to be very smooth. The location was very convenient as well. At the time I got a great deal on a unit but I finally had to move out and into my new house. The staff was great and helpful whenever I needed anything, even during Covid they made sure my safety and storage needs were meet and kept.

The one storage location with enough drive up access units, for a good price nearby downtown Phoenix- that also doesn’t overcharge. Terrible experience renting from this location for a non-profit organization. The contract has our rental date starting today ar 6am but we arrived at noon with 10 volunteers and two full Uhauls to find the unit is locked and no one is able to help. Tremendously frustrating.

Storage got broken into and management got annoyed when I couldn’t have someone go to my unit to move everything, while I was out of state. Rats and mice got in and destroyed half of what wasn’t taken.
