As someone who never tried Barre before, I was very nervous before my first class and I was just a complete mess to be honest. Sarah Johnson, the owner of Fit Barre as well as one of the instructors, instilled the confidence in me to get through my workout with ease. Sarah assured me that she would help me get through the workout in anyway that she could. Sarah was constantly fixing my form throughout the first class. Because of Sarah's help, I was able to get a grasp on how to perform the movements properly and I had a lot more confidence. This wasn't just a one time thing from Sarah. Sarah is constantly helping every single one of her clients improve their form, adjust their movements due to injuries or soreness, etc. Sarah's positive energy is so radiant. She is the most approachable people i've ever met. Sarah is available before and classes to answer any questions regarding the workouts, memberships, merchandise, upcoming events, etc. Sarah has created a community. This isn't just a workout facility, it's a close knit community. Sarah's positivity and warmth has rubbed off on all of the members at the studio. Friendships have been formed at the studio, clients help other clients during the workout. Clients genuinely care about each other at Fit Barre, and it's because of Sarah Johnson's glowing personality and leadership. Sarah is above and beyond the average business owner. She cares so incredibly dearly about everything related to her studio, the well-being of her staff, her clients, and she's always creating new and exciting innovations that have only continued to push Fit Barre further into that top spot of the best fitness studio in the city. The business was built from the ground up. FitBarre Hamilton has done a fabulous job with the experience they offer! They have created an atmosphere that is inviting, upbeat, and FUN! You can feel your body getting stronger, and you learn how to practice mind over matter. We have made so many friends here, it feels like home. Started Baby Barre class after baby #3 hoping to ease my body back into fitness with very little fitness ability. So happy I found this class! It's not just the workout (this is truly meant for all levels, and babies are most welcome!) but the holistic approach the studio brings to the class, providing education on the pelvic floor (including a q&a with a pelvic floor physio in class) and online classes available to build on at home or if you miss in person (they understand life with a baby is unpredictable and provide the tools to work with that, including a facebook group to come back to throughout the session). Jenn and Emily are passionate instructors that bring positive energy and encouragement to each class and the environment is welcoming and warm. I highly recommend this class to all new moms who want to strengthen themselves post baby, it has been a wonderful start to working on myself again!
I was a little nervous about trying Fit Barre, because I tend to be self-conscious and uncomfortable in fitness class settings. However, Sarah fosters a very positive, accepting environment that makes the most reserved feel at ease. She really tends to everyone's level in the class. If you are having trouble with certain positions or concepts, Sarah is always there before or after class to help. The workouts are challenging and Sarah is always modifying, adjusting and motivating to maximize her clients' progression. Fit Barre is wonderful, because Sarah is constantly changing up and building on the routines, so working out doesn't become mundane. Aside from all this- Fit Barre works wonders for toning the body! I could see significant changes after my first month at Fit Barre. I highly recommend Fit Barre to everyone!
I had a friend recommend Fit Barre to me a few times before I decided to try a class. I actually started with the Barre Babes class as it looked like great opportunity for a fun mommy & me workout. What I ended up quickly learning was that it is an amazing workout, and the Barre Babes program includes education, access to local professionals who can further support you in various post-partum needs, and a community of other moms who you meet with and can learn from. They also arranged some fun other outings to get everyone together without the workout. I have been enjoying it so much I already signed up for the next round, am looking at other Barre classes to take solo, and recommended two friends to join (1 for Barre Babes and 1 just for regular classes). I am not sure what took me so long to try it out!
I've been coming here for almost a year now and have to say that the workouts have me feeling stronger than ever! I love the variety of type of classes offered (i.e. classic, cardio, resistance, etc). The instructors are amazing and keep your spirits high when your legs are shaking during the workouts, or to push you to do that last push up! Instructors also help with modifications to help ensure your form is the best it can be and to avoid injuries. A benefit I didn't anticipate prior to joining the studio is that you meet so many people in class, and I am so ecstatic that this studio has introduced me to the people it has. I never imagined I'd meet such a supportive and kind community that uplifts each other. Here's to continuing on at FitBarre and reaching some more goals!
I have been participating in their Postnatal Level 1 class for the last 7 weeks and it has given me so much confidence in my healing journey. I think as Canadians we need to do a better job at recognizing how important pelvic health is before, during and after pregnancy. This class has really helped me gain deep understanding of how those parts of my body are effected during pregnancy and labour and how to help strengthen them in the post natal period. Not only that, this class is fun. Getting to come to a class in the dead of winter with other moms and babies makes new mom life feel less lonely during these colder months. I can’t wait for what hurdles I will overcome in level 2 and looking forward to trying classes without baby as well!
Fit Barre has changed my life! I started a few months ago with the introductory package and was hooked! I was inspired to join as a monthly member and did not take long before I felt stronger, had more energy, and confidence. My mental health and concept of wellbeing has significantly improved as well. From the very beginning I felt very welcomed and supported by Sarah and the staff. The vibe is extremely inclusive, uplifting, fun, and non pretentious. All of the instructors are incredibly encouraging, friendly and skilled. The studio itself is a beautiful, clean and comfortable space. In a few short months I have made friends with other studio members and have set small, achievable fitness goals for myself.
Joining the Fitbarre Hamilton community has been one of the best decisions i've made since moving back to the city. It is an extremely welcoming, inclusive community, with so many great instructors, fun classes and good vibes to get you into moving your body and feeling stronger! The classes are low impact, include modifications if you need them, and don't feel like a competition or cult. Personally, I've seen my confidence and my comfort in my body's strength evolve over the 5 short months I've been coming to the studio, and Fitbarre is most certainly now a key part of my weekly healthy routines. They have really great introductory prices for folks who are new. Do the 5-week trial, you won't regret it!
It’s impossible to not get hooked on the quick but effective workouts at Fitbarre. Sarah and all of her instructors are amazing in guiding you through the routines and are so welcoming. Many gyms can feel intimidating but Fitbarre is a lovely community of women. In just 50 minutes the classes will have you shaking in all the right places, it’s low impact but still very challenging and between the isometric movements and tiny reps you’ll start to see definition plus have heaps more energy. It took some getting used to the morning classes but now they are the best way to start my day, but not to worry if early morning workouts aren’t your thing cause they have plenty of options!
I came across fit barre postnatal level 1 when desperately searching for a Pilates class I could take my baby to. I was hooked on Pilates throughout my pregnancy and was hoping to find a place I could regain that strength and connect with my baby and other moms. With fit barre and Jenn I hit the jackpot! I love this class because it has made me stronger physically but also helped me cope mentally. Connecting with other moms and having a scheduled time to get out of the house and get some exercise has done wonders for my mental health. Will be recommending this to every new mom I know! Signed up for the Barre Baby class after having my first child and my only regret was not signing up sooner. Jenn and all the ladies here are so supportive and encouraging, offering modifications as needed to help you reach your goals, but also pushing to do your best and then do even better. If you’re on the fence, they regularly have free classes to try before you buy, great options for signing up providing flexibility in a class schedule and commitment that works for you. Highly recommend if you are looking for a challenging and fun class that leaves your and things burning.
I started at Fit Barre back in November, and really started coming regularly in February. I have searched high and low for a class that inspires me and excites, but have never committed for more than a couple months. Once I started at Fit Barre I became addicted and I absolutely love the classes! The teachers are fantastic, so kind and friendly and the everyone in the community is so welcoming and friendly. I have noticed a big difference in my body through the classes and especially my energy levels. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an insanely deep burn and fun environment!
As someone who once was a varsity athlete and until recently thought heavy lifting was the way to get jacked, fitbarre has changed my mindset, my life and my butt! These classes are motivating, fun, a great workout and worth every penny. The music is fantastic and the space is beautiful. There is even free parking! Sarah the barre instructor keeps your form on pointe and is incredibly motivating. You will feel changes instantly, and see changes within weeks- actually. I definitely recommend this studio for anyone looking for a fantastic way to workout and stay healthy!
I came across Fit-Barre Hamilton while looking for a new space to workout, as an alternative to a regular big box gym. I went to a free foundations class and had a blast! The workouts are low impact, but have you shaking and burning in places you've never felt. There are a variety of classes, class times (which I love), and instructors - all of whom are amazing and bring a unique vibe to each class. The space is warm and inviting and I've loved being able to challenge myself and see personal progress over the few short months I've been a member!
I absolutely love this community! I started at FitBarre Hamilton 3 months ago and have been a regular ever since. It's been amazing to watch my strength grow over this time. They really mean it when they say "you're stronger than you think". The classes are a great full body and low impact workout. The classes are challenging and kick your butt in the best way. I am so grateful I found out about Fit Barre’s Baby Barre program! Not only did it help me regain core strength, it gave me confidence to go work out postpartum. It also allowed me to make new friends! The environment at Fit Barre is so encouraging. I feel confident going to a regular barre class regardless of what level I am. The teachers lift you up and help you! You feel so accomplished after a class. If you are considering trying it out I highly recommend. Youll fall in love and become part of an amazing community!
I moved to Hamilton a year ago, not knowing anyone here. I was looking for a workout spot that was welcoming, accommodating and a community. I found all 3 of these qualities and more in FitBarre Hamilton. The instructors know you by name and are all about a positive and an energetic environment. Fit Barre Hamilton is one of the best communities i've been fortunate to be a part of since moving to Hamilton. Not only is it an amazing program to tighten, build core and foundational strength, but it's also a fantastic community of people with instructors who are kind and fun. I can't imagine my routine without this place. I have brought many friends from the GTA and friend visiting from abroad and they have all left with a WOW.
I have really enjoyed being part of the amazing FitBarre community the last 6 months! The studio is very welcoming, inclusive and offers a diverse range of classes for every fitness level. The instructors are so helpful and encouraging. I have recommended the studio to everyone and have brought guests to a few classes. I really look forward to every class! After years of trying to find it, I have finally found my ideal workout!

I heard about Fit Barre’s barre babies program when I was newly postpartum and looking to get back into fitness but didn’t know where to start. Love that the program focuses on core and pelvic floor strength, two areas that all new moms need support in. Best of all babies are welcome so you don’t have to stress about getting childcare. Highly recommend this program for any new moms!
It's hard to say what the best part of taking barre classes here is: the friendly people, the fierce workouts, or the fabulous results. My husband was reluctant to make the investment but after four weeks of seeing my physical and emotional transformation (and benefiting from the secondhand results *wink*) he gives the studio two enthusiastic thumbs up too. Worth every single penny.

A beautiful barre studio with amazing instructors! The fit barre community is extremely welcoming and you feel like you have been attending for years after just one class. The workouts are low impact but still provide a challenging workout and continuously challenge you regardless of if you are just starting your barre journey or have been attending for years.
As someone who came into this studio very out of shape, I can 110% say that is no longer the case! I’ve been with fit barre for over 2 months now and feel not only healthier but stronger! I’ve met my people here. The community along with the instructors are the best you’ll ever find, If you’re on the fence, take this as your sign to go for it! Get the shake!!
Fitbarre is the best!! Instructors are enthusiastic, motivating, and encouraging. I love that they offer a bunch of different class styles - especially fit form and cardio barre! Very challenging classes that can easily be modified to truly make it “your workout”. The studio itself is bright and clean, and they have a great little retail section too.

The instructors really help new people feel comfortable and included but don't let their kindness deceive you....when the music starts, these instructors are all business and will give you an intense workout no matter what your fitness level is. I have not been motivated to work out for several years, until Fit Barre came along. It's such a safe space, and love that it's just under an hour of non stop movement. Every class feels unique despite having the same structure so I never get bored. Every single teacher is amazing... It's the best studio in Hamilton by a long shot!
I found this place shortly after moving to Hamilton and I am SO happy I did! The instructors are amazing and do their best to keep you motivated and engaged by switching it up and coming up with new, challenging exercises. The best thing is that I can feel myself getting stronger after each class! I highly recommend trying it out.
It's the workout Ive been searching for! Effective, many class options and the instructors are friendly and really encourage you. They also pay attention to all participants in class and guide you. Ive never done Barre before but it's easy to get the hang of and if your shaking uncontrollably, that's a good sign!
This place has a really beautiful studio with smaller classes. All of the trainer's and regulars I've interacted with so far have been incredibly welcoming and supportive which keeps me coming back. It's incredible hard work but you are encouraged to just try your best and scale down or take breaks where needed.
I've had back pain for a long time and my chiropractor had suggested pilates to improve on my core strength and lessen my back pain. After six months of coming to Fit Barre, I not only have much improved back pain (almost non-existent), but also much better strength in the rest of my body. Thank you Fit Barre!
Fit Barre is an amazing studio and the instructors are so knowledgable, positive and energetic. This is the best kind of workout for your body. If you consistently are attending workouts, you will see the change and results you want. It is such a welcoming space, this is my favourite place to be.
Absolutely loved the postnatal level 1 classes. I’m so sad that there is only 1 class left! Every weekend I looked forward to the Monday morning class - the best way to start the week and focus on my pelvic floor strength! HIGHLY recommend. Also, Jenn is a great instructor

I love it here at Fit Barre. The exercises are challenging but so worth it. You’ll activate muscles you didn’t know existed. It’s the only form of physical activity I’ve been able to commit to in years. The instructors are also super friendly.
This place is great! All of the staff/teachers are super friendly and knowledgeable. They have a variety of classes which keeps things fun and interesting. There's morning classes and evening classes which is great for all peoples schedules.

Instructors are quite good at instructing and motivating people, really good music, spacious facility! 50 mins flies by usually. I have been to another barre studio in Hamilton and this is definitely recommend.

The Post Natal Series was amazing! Jenna is awesome and the workout was 100% worth it. After only 8 weeks I am feeling MUCH stronger and more myself. It was also so fun being around so many moms & babes
I took Level 1 Barre Babies and I cannot recommend it enough!! Jenna is super knowledgeable and gives all the right cues for reconnecting with pelvic floor and core muscles. Looking forward to level 2!

Great barre experience tailored to pelvic floor recovery! Tough workouts but fun at the same time. Parking is tricky so arrive early to find street parking or in a paid lot.
During Covid-19 pandemic Fit Barre's ZOOM classes were the highlight of my day and kept me on track with my fitness and spirit! This studio and its teachers are INCREDIBLE!
