BEWARE, Scam artists at its finest. These guys will blatantly lie to your face about payment frequencies, make you sign on a signature pad without seeing the contract (MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR A PRINT OUT BEFORE YOU PAY START UP COSTS AND REVIEW THE CONTRACT) then keep your money when you call them out on their dishonesty. Congratulations to their outstanding employee of the year for scamming me out of $51.45, I hope you are able to sleep well knowing that you full blown lied to my face (and others so I hear). Buyers beware! None of their facilities are working, sauna is down, changerooms smell like a barn, they don't clean any of their equipment. I never stepped foot into the actual gym for the 13 days of my membership (I had a membership a few years back) and when I found out **** lied and the payments were in fact biweekly and not monthly, they still refused to refund my start up fees. Scammers. Luckily I cancelled within 14 days otherwise I would be seeing another two payments come out for a membership I will never use based on their scammer cancellation policy. Take your money elsewhere, LITERALLY anywhere, lots of reputable fully functioning and honest gyms in the area. Might I also mention that their staff members are very much aware of this scam artist employee who they've had multiple complaints about. Oh, and the general manager (won’t name names) is 4 days on the job so of course she was no help and her demeanor is atrocious, she chose to deal with the situation by sitting me in an office to confront her liar staff member who couldn't deny any my allegations!! So rightfully so they get to keep my money right? STAY AWAY!!! Can't wait to see how they respond to this review, no cameras to refer to ****'s dishonestly and no care in the world. Guess they need the money more than I do. I will be sure to tell my community of followers to never step foot in your facility folks!!
I’ve been going to this gym for a while now and it has been fairly nice, however someone decided it would be a good idea to remove the ONLY decline bench press machine in the whole facility… There are 2 practically identical incline bench press machines. And no Jesse, I’m not just going to use the decline barbell bench press. It isn’t the same movement and is often being used; especially during busier hours. Talking with the gyms regulars, no one is impressed with this move to “create more space” and “get rid of pin cable machines” as there isn’t enough plates to begin with and there are other duplicate machines that would’ve been much better to get rid of for space. Additionally, trying to swap out all of the cable machines with plate machines will mean buying more plates and taking up more space with racks to put the plates on that aren’t being used. Free weights and plates are important, but with machines it makes no difference to the movement, if anything they’re worse because it is difficult to do rapid drop sets/supersets, and you have to load and unload weight instead of moving a pin. In terms of floor plan, functionality, and even cost/benefit this was a complete fail. I’ll remove this review once this is fixed and if you agree with me, upvote this review so it goes to the top of the “popular” tab for everyone to see. The facility and the staff are wonderful but this move was a major L.
I don't normally like doing reviews but I wanted to today to express my support for this location and in particular the group fitness classes available after work. I have been a member for many years from back in the Spa Lady days @ Century Park. Now that that club is closed, this has become my home gym. It seems as of recently that surveys are going out to members doing group classes to determine whether the class or instructor will be kept. Please do not cancel these classes as that is what I come here for. Many of my friends still have their memberships on freeze but are planning to return to group fitness classes. I have only done Anna & Roshni's classes here but they are both fantastic and I want to keep taking their classes. I do have to note though that the GYMVMT leaves a bit to be desired with its glitches. I have trouble shooted with Apple, deleted the app and re-installed as well as leaving feedback for the app developer but the feature of class bookings going onto my calendar is no longer working. Oh, and this week when a did a double class, I only got a survey for the second class and not the first class. The surveys going out are not consistent. Plus, not sure what is going on with the app, but I had my notifications on yesterday and today they were all turned off for some reason.
I have been attending this gym for the past 6 months and quite frankly I am unimpressed by the attitude, and service by the staff. I visit many of there locations through the City of Edmonton and I have never come across any feelings of hate, aggression, and overall disrespect. However, the same cannot be said for the Gateway location. Upon entering the building misery is evident; the staff are very unhappy (for whatever reason). Receptionist greet you without even looking away from their computer (too busy streaming TV Shows). The senior trainers are by the most disappointing and cruel, unless you are a direct client of theirs they will not a.) be courteous enough to return equipment to proper location after you are done with it b.) when a member asks a question in regards to pain or inflammation in joints HELP HIM! Just because I'm not throwing away all these expensive training fees does not mean you cant advise me if I am at risk of hurting myself, especially if your not busy! All in all, if you have the chance to visit or train at any other gym...go for it! If your a newbie like me looking for help and a good service go to the Whitemudd its right around the corner and their awesome!
I've been a member since the gym re-opened after the initial COVID closures last year. The facility is bright and open, the change rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly. The one area that could be improved is some of the equipment is getting long in the tooth and could do with replacing. I've been personal training with Josh for the past several months and I highly recommend him, particularly for those early in their fitness & lifting journeys. In less than 60 days he has helped me put together a lifting program, optimized my workouts for optimal efficiency, and start to produce the kind of results I've been looking for. If you bring the drive, he will bring an extra gear to helping you achieve your goals and raise your ceiling - he certainly has for me. We've worked steadily through the closure, and I'm looking forward to getting back at it in earnest once the gym re-opens. (5 stars for Josh, 4 for the facility)
I joined the Gateway location in February and recently started training with Aaron. I have nothing but positive things to say about the facility amenities/location including the Leadership Team as well as my Trainer!!! The overall ambience is just full of enthusiasm, sense of humor and oozes hospitality…Staff members are kind and are willing to help. On the other hand, I must commend Aaron’s effort in keeping me motivated, I had a good run for a couple of months but dropped the ball in between for a few weeks…back at it now and feel super pumped. Thanks to Aaron for accommodating my busy lifestyle and making last minute schedule changes so I can get that sweat in. Finally, Aaron’s enthusiasm with clientele, passion for fitness and knowledge of seeing results (from my own experience) is some of his greatest strengths. I foresee progress and could have not found a better team than this (aka Gateway) to continue this fit lifestyle!
GYMVMT Gateway is a great club to workout in. From the front desk staff, the management, the group fitness instructors and the personal fitness trainers, they are all amazing and you can tell that they love what they do. I personally train with Jesse Blond and just love how much confidence I've gained at the gym training with him. Coming from the now closed SpaLady on 23rd, I was a bit intimidated to start at a new (co-ed) gym. Initially I only attended their group fitness classes. After getting to know Jesse and his training methods, I decided to add him to my training regimen. The best decision I ever made! I have gained so much confidence and learned so much about my body, how and when to push myself, and how to work out effectively and efficiently. I am doing things in the gym I've never done before and getting stronger, fitter and faster every day and it feels damn good! Keep up the great work GYMVMT Gateway team!!
I’ve been going to GYMVMT, at Gateway for 4 years now. I love this place and have no thoughts of changing to a different one! It’s been a great experience. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I like the gym setup and enjoy the facilities. I go for the classes as I’m not a very self motivated workout person. I am always amazed at the dedication of the instructors. Over the years, I tried out personal training as I felt I was plateauing and needed to lose weight and stay fit. I started training with Jesse. That really took me to another level where I started seeing results and really enjoying the experience. Workouts were tough and very challenging, but Jesse made it so much fun. Every workout planned was unique and It gave me motivation to continue training and be part of the gym. Thank you to the staff for your dedication and support! And a special thank you to my trainer!!
UPDATED REVIEW: I am updating my old review to add another star. In the COVID era, the gym is very clean and everyone is distanced. I like that the staff and trainers wear masks. I also really like the ability to pre-book workout slots using the GYMVMT app. The staff are great to deal with - the front desk issue seems to be fully resolved. I'm glad I kept my membership! Clean, decently-equipped gym. Would like to see more squat racks and open space for body weight exercises. I appreciate that there's a women's-only section, however it is noticeably less maintained compared to the rest of the gym. Front of house staff definitely leave something to be desired - most will not greet you, and will make it seem like scanning your membership tag is the ultimate inconvenience while they're trying to chat with their coworkers. The trainers are good.
I started my membership at the Gateway location back in February (this year). I figured it was time to get serious about my health! Anyway, along with my membership was a consultation with a personal trainer. I got Holly B. and I’m soooo happy I did. I signed up for sessions with her right away. Holly is a fantastic trainer; she definitely knows her stuff. But what makes her even better is how sincerely she wants to see me succeed. We recently did a body composition and I’m down lbs and body fat %; I think she was more excited for me than I was. Holly is awesome. She’s not just a trainer, I consider her a friend. Even during tough sessions :) If you’re looking for a trainer that is knowledgeable and truly a wonderful person, she’s it. I would recommend her to anyone! Oh, the club is nice, too :) super friendly people, all the time.
Each staff member will tell you something different and will screw you for money any way possible. I signed up because apparently the daycare was opening once safe to do so after covid. It never did and is not. In April I froze my account for 2 weeks to take a trip not knowing I would not be able to again for another year. Recently cannot workout (3 months due to medical reason), brought them two paid medical notes and my request was denied, I was told "when you feel better bring a back dated medical note and we will not charge you for time time missed" now I owe a ton of money because it is too soon for another freeze. That would've been nice to know beforehand. Save your time and money and go to a less headache of a gym. The gyms are tiny and the equipment sucks anyway.
This is to GYMVMT as a whole. As someone who used to work there I am contionously disgusted with their practices. I signed up for the GYMVMT city center that got closed down beginning of June. I found out through the massage clinic in the gym that they were closing down weeks before I heard anything from GYMVMT. Upon recieving the shut down of GYMVMT email, I replied asking to cancel my account, as that was the only gym that was convinient for me. It has been since June, and I have paid more in biweekly fees than I would have just canceling my account. I reached out again recently and STILL havent heard anything back. It has been nearly 3 months, I am still being charged, have not been contacted. This buisness has poor communication and needs to be better.
During the pandemic my gym I had been going to for almost 13 years shut down. When I heard the news, I sat down on my couch and cried. I was so upset because I thought I’d never find a place I’d love again so much. I was SO wrong. Gymvmt has been my second home. I immediately felt so welcome. From the beginning the staff called me by name. The facility is always clean, they provide all the things to get ready for your day, towel, hair driers, straighteners, lotions, razors.. etc. They have great classes too!! I really can’t say enough about how awesome the gym is, but what’s even better is the community. I love all the people. So many encouraging women. The regulars that make my experience at the gym everyday feel like home. It really saved my life!
The gym is always clean and not crowded either. The staff at the gym are very good to deal with and a good selection of great trainers. The covid protocols in place are very good.I wanted to add that this location most definitely set itself apart from other of the same company and from other gyms. This location has amazingly helpful staff that seem to go above and beyond many times with even the simple things of like knowing your name when you walk in and always have that friendly attitude. Sofia Is one employee that comes to mind and I know that its tough times for businesses right now and I hope that when all this is over and life somes back to normal that people like Sofia will be back as well . Take care and be safe GYMVMT staff.
I started going to the gateway location two years ago. It wasn’t the closest gym, it wasn’t even the most convenient gym. But something about the staff at this location kept me coming back. They go out of their way to make sure it’s clean, that you have what you need and that you’re reaching your goals. They also make sure to learn your name, which I appreciate. I’ve been training with Aaron since I started and he’s got me hooked. He makes working out fun and definitely keeps it interesting. I mean his jokes and dance moves could use some work (3/5). But seriously if he can get someone who makes as many excuses as I do to workout, he can make anyone do it. If you’re wondering if you should join.. you should. This gyms for everyone.
Highly recommend this gym. I’ve been training with Aaron for 3 years straight! He has help so much with my weight challenges and my goals. He has been a trainers for a long time and I trust him. I recommend him to anyone seeking a trainer who knows exactly what you need. He’s very knowledgeable. He gets continued education which is up to date. I also completed a 60 day challenge with his help and have been able to maintain it! For 3 years!! He Really changed my body, my confidence and my health. I’m very happy with my results!! And I just can’t quit!! He’s truly amazing!! Seriously need to ask for him. Even just for a demo. ( he’s gracious and will give you one if you ask for it) Thanks Aaron !! You rock!!
I used to attend GYMVMT Edmonton and was disappointed with the personal trainer service. Despite paying for the personal trainer service, I consistently suffered from injuries that caused me to lose valuable workout time. In fact, I believe the trainer caused a serious joint tear that I am still recovering from six months later. In addition, the equipment was outdated and in need of repair or replacement. On a positive note, the price was reasonable. However, the gym's early closing time made it difficult for me to fit workouts into my schedule. Overall, my experience at GYMVMT Edmonton was not a positive one, and I would not recommend their personal training service.
Jesse Blond is an amazing trainer, his type of training is specific for each client. He is very conscious about safety and never forces or pushes beyond my limits. He is very knowledgeable in his field and always explains how an exercise will affect the muscle being trained. On my most recent session, i had expressed the very bad pain i had been experiencing in my lower back for at least a month. Jesse showed me some specific stretches and other exercises to help relieve the pain.. It has been a few days since my session and the pain is almost gone.. Jesse is a professional at what he does and would refer him to anyone that is in need of a trainer.
The staff here are quite rude most of the time. Numerous times I have said have a good night to get no response. Other times, I walk in with my significant other and the girls are all friendly to him and say hi to him but no greeting towards myself at all. When I call in, I am often interrupted before even finishing my sentence and the person on the phone is not very cheerful or friendly. Not to mention their equipment badly needs updating. Many of the machines are rusted or take significant effort to change the position settings. Wish I hadn't moved to the south side. The clareview location is much better - friendly staff and better equipment.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR CLASSES WITH TRAINERS HERE!! I wanted to strengthen my back and signed up for 36 classes with a professional trainer. When I signed my contract it was a little over $1000 and I was like "guess it's not so bad" after I notice my credit card was still being charged and it should have stopped charging me I called and they told me that I still have almost $1700 left on my balance and I told them it's only supposed to and they threatened to put me into "collection" if I didn't pay. $3000 for 36 session!? That's ridiculous and I wouldn't recommend. I won't ever walk into another world health. I will go to good life thank you.
I have been to different gyms around the city and hands down world health gateway has been the best. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. I like walking into the gym and being greeted with waves and hi’s. They have everything you could need here. I like it enough to drive from the north side to come work out here. Aaron Bungay, my trainer, deserves a special shoutout. He pushes me to my limit while somehow making it fun. I keep coming back despite the sore muscles. I’ve seen changes in my body that I know he’s helped me grow. Couldn’t have done it without him. He’s truly a master at his job. Thanks!
Well we've been members since this gym was club fit. They for some unknown reason decided to stop taking money from my account billing another bank in St. Albert which is not mine and then they wouldn't fix it. How can you invoice an account when you have a contract with your billing info on it. I gave them one star because some of the people that work there really did try to help. They actually found out back door on their computer system. What had happened but the general manager of the gateway facility kept blaming the bank. He had a letter saying the bank made a mistake. The difference was it wasn't my bank.
I've been a member at the Gateway location for a couple years now. It's a great gym with ample space, lots of equipment & very helpful staff around to answer any questions. It's been a rough year with everything going on and I can't wait to get back once everything is cleared to open up again. In the meantime, they do have an incredible app which has really helped me with my home workouts! I have also signed up for a weekly workout that gets custom made just for my goals by one of their amazing trainers. Thank you Jesse Miss you GYMVMT.. & can't wait to see you again!!
My friend referred me to get Rachel as my PT as I am trying to get back into shape again after pandemic. Rachel was wonderful, very passionate with her job and very knowledgeable! She didn’t only helped me get back on track, we worked on my diet, self-esteem, confidence and mindset which are my greatest take away! It was a fun workout always and she gave me alternatives and when I am about to give up, she reminds me that I can do better and this keeps me going! Thank you to all the wonderful staff, sadly I had to leave due to relocation. Kudos to you all!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I am a real client, I have been training with Aaron at this location since Mid July 2017, I have lost 33 pounds under his watch, I gained lots of energy gain, we discover I do have muscles (they where just hiding). In the last 5 years I have attended other 3 gyms (including the women only ones) but now I found someone who cares, who made me believe I CAN. I love this location not only because it is equipped with everything you need, but because of the people. Come on, the GM greats you by your name, if that doesn't says you matter, i donn't know what will.
There are not many group classes going on if you are looking to be motivated. Staff do not enforce the covid protocols seeing people inside the lockers without a mask in walking back and forth. They changed the gym layout. The ladies section where I love to workout now is horrible. The moved out the arms and legs muscle training. Gym machine some of them having fixed for over two years with flap falling apart. Given I have paid annually maintenance fee 35 bucks a year. They are skimping fixing the machines. I guess time to look for a better gym.
The facility is ok, but after closing the Whitemud location it is frequently too busy to work out comfortably. I consistently find myself waiting 5-10 minutes to use a squat rack or flat bench, and regularly can't even find a place to stretch. My membership only has a few months left so I tried to cancel and was informed that there just isn't a cancellation option. No payout, nothing. You just straight up can't cancel if you are still in contract. If you're looking to sign up for a gym, I'd strongly recommend staying away from World Health.
Gym is great. Management and communication is awful. Changed my review from 5 stars to 2. Only reason for the 2 is the physical gym space. Been a member for over 10+ years sad to see. Update: Lowered rating to 1 stars (would be no stars if I could). GM Jacob was condescending, rude and hung up on my wife when she tried to cancel her membership. Not to mention the run around. Purposely delayed calling my wife back until the new month so she would be charged. My wife and I collectively have been members for 20+yrs. See ya Gymvmt! Do better!
I have had memberships with LA fitness, good life and golds in the past, World health has been my favourite so far. Large enough that it has all the equipment that you need but small enough that it has a nice atmosphere. Ashwin did my initial physical assessment and did a great job, he was knowledgable and easy to work with. clean change rooms, nice steam room and also a top notch spin studio attached to the gym, make this a great gym. I'd highly recommend world health.
Scam artists, liars, and thieves. Stay far away from this gym!! Customer service is non existent, employees are liars, “general manager” cannot do her one job which is to defuse situations. Poorly run business with no ethics and morals. Not to mention this gym is a dump and smells of mold. Sauna hasn’t worked in years and they'll continue to tell you that it’s being repaired. Found blood smeared in the change room for nearly 2 weeks before they cleaned it up.
It’s rough when you go in and expect them to deal with integrity but find out that was just a smoke screen to get you signed up... I went in and saw Isabelle and she told me I could sign up and pay cash for biweekly payments but it turns out that isn’t the case, so they took my money for the annual facility fee, then let me know a week later I have to put a card on file... then they have the nerve to not give you a refund. Unbelievable business tactics.
The staff here are great and there's plenty of equipment but ever since sherwood park closed this location has been brutal. I'm a pretty resourceful person and I can usually find an alternative if the equipment I want is being used but when you legitimately have to give up on doing legs because every single piece of equipment is being used or blocked by personal training sessions it's pretty frustrating. Weekends are ok but weeknights are a pain.
I wasn't informed that century park location was closed when I specifically signed up for a 2 year membership to use that location. Now, when I tried to cancel it after finding out that location was shut down, I was charged 100$ cancellation fees, but hey to make it better they did not charge me for cancelling without giving a 30 day notice. Nobody there wants to acknowledge their mistake. Disappointed and won't recommend GYMVMT to anyone.
I have phoned emailed and gone in person to cancel the account with gym movement gateway and they still steal money from my account. When i go to report them to BBB I see why it's just what they do if you give them banking information they just keep taking from you never sign up with these gyms. If you already have and you want to cancel record it video and photos print out and have them sign the cancelation as well as email. Scum bags.
Really great club! The space inside is super awesome, lots of room between machines and equipment. Large group fitness rooms. They have a turf zone which is nice. But they don't have a stretching or abs area anywhere. So everyone ends up stretching on the turf which renders it useless for what it's actually for. On the other side of there being lots of room, they are sort of lacking some equipment machines. Overall a great gym!
Coming to GYMVMT Gateway was the best thing I could do for my body and health. Seeing all the equipment, motivated staff, and clean place was love at first sight. Getting Josh as my trainer was the topping I never had! I am excited because I achieved some short-term goals that I though were an oblivion. I'm still doing my online training, BUT can't wait to go back in there and accelerate my progress. Thank you GYMVMT and Josh.
overall a great gym! Has everything you could want from body building/power lifting to the cardio bunny. Downside is AC in the summer is pretty lack-luster and the two-year commitment thing is pretty intense. However, I work out of town and they are offering up to 6 months credit/year so that's a better bonus than any other gym right now! Plus their membership is sitting around $20/bi weekly, making it highly competitive.
I have been attending this location for almost 2 years and out of all the locations, by far, hands down this location is top notch. The management & staff is more than accommodating, friendly & the most professional team, I’ve seen. The staff go above and beyond for all the clients who attend this location. They lend a helping hand when needed. The staff suggest tips and pointers to get a better result to your workout.
Really just not impressed with the facility or how the company is run in general. However without getting too political, this gym really just labels members as dollar signs instead of supporting and creating a healthy community around itself and its facilities. There are much better gyms out there, this is just another Big corporate gym looking to make bank instead of having a real and positive influence.
My review is based on my last visit about 3 months ago. To start, washrooms are really downright dirty and feels like that of a public recreational facility. Most of stairmasters are broken and never get fixed. Staff quite doesnt seem to care. i have been to most of the facilities in the city and this surely feels the most inferior of them all. I hope they work on fixing it. Surely needs a major overhaul
I’ve been going to this gym for two years and it’s been amazing . I started training with Rachel over a year ago and she’s helped me meet a lot of my goals that I set out to achieve at the beginning. She also encourages me to challenge new things and has been very supportive throughout my fitness journey. If your just starting out your fitness journey, I recommend training with her , she’s amazing !
I wanted to join and found it cost about $300 more a year to pay in full up front than to do a payment plan. They really want your bank account information so bad that they will charge you a 30% penalty to pay when you join. I had a membership before at their old location when they were Club Fit and that took me two years to cancel. It seems they changed their name, but not their business practices.
The gym is over-packed, and they made me sign a 2 year contract minimum ... you pay $100 fee to cancel, paying double per month than most other gyms, with limited locations inside and out of the city. They would't accommodate my travel plans just to top it off - I had to leave the country for a few months! They will milk your dollars. ON a positive note, good staff, clean gyms and washrooms.
Trying to freeze a membership for weeks now, no replies. On the fun side, im being charged an additional $10 every other week besides the regular bi-weekly payments. Not sure if I will be able to talk to anyone about that either. Canceling the membership at the first chance, hoping to at least get this additional $20 per month refunded as I don't know why it is being charged.
After not visiting the gym for months I received a call from a collections agency informing me I owed 400 some dollars. I was never called or told that the monthly payments were not coming out of my account, and when I called to question the manager I was told I "opted out" of phone and email contact, which is something that I never did. The gym feels like a borderline scam.
They will credit your membership a small amount to buy reviews from members to puff themselves up. Don't believe the reviews, this gym is struggling, they steal from members charging them when they are not even open. You can’t get a hold of anyone. They constantly are having to re-staff. I'm finally out from under them, and happy to be so, it was better when World Health.
Went to this location for the first time with a friend for enrollment. Helped by DJ he is a fitness consultant at this location. He educated us about the membership plans very well. Very informative consultation. He is really helpful and understanding and ask all the questions and undertood the requirements well. I Will recommend this location and consultation with DJ.
Clean and extensive gym. Three squat racks, five bench stations, and a large wall of free-weights keeps you lifting instead of waiting. One of the few wet-saunas in the city. Staff is friendly and helpful. I trained with Jordan and he helped me learn how to love coming into the gym, even if I was going to leave sore as hell. I would recommend him as a trainer any day.
I like this gym. There's plenty of parking out front and in the back. They have a good variety and quantity of equipment and weights. They also have an Olympic lifting area with rubber bumber plates as well. There are shower stalls for more privacy, towel service, and basic toiletries. The gym is never really packed and is open 24/7 even on weekends and holidays.
I've been at this gym for about 4 months now to prepare for my fitness examinations . I was lucky enough to work with my trainer Josh who had extensive knowledge on how to prepare and maintain my fitness for my examination despite the pandemic. He is goal oriented and he knew how to properly motivate somebody through fitness and diet. Would highly recommend.
The staff at this location are very welcoming and helpful. The girls at the front desk are always cheerful, the personal trainers Ashwin and Matt are very friendly and always say hi. Kiley’s Team45 class will get your butt in shape and even the custodians do a stellar job. It’s been a great experience so far. I highly recommend this branch.
Awesome place to work out. a very relaxing atmosphere with state of the art equipment. even at the midnight., its a happening place. Staff is amazing and my personal trainer Jordan was great. He put me on a right path to fitness it's definitely a perfect place to do some serious work out in laid back atmosphere. definitely recommending it.
Friendly, safe and clean environment that offers a variety of equipment and classes for all levels. whether you are there at 6am or after work, there is always plenty of room and equipment available to work out. The current GYMVMT app is also user friendly and offers different options for workouts at home or while traveling on business.
I really enjoy my time at this gym. Rachel Harrison was my personal trainer for some time and she’s really kind is always so encouraging. She helps those that seem to be struggling with an exercise and kindly demonstrates it without making anyone uncomfortable. I would highly recommend her to anyone in search of a personal trainer.
2 weeks in and so far my experience has been great. Haley F helped me get going on a month to month membership and Jessica H has been my personal trainer since day one. Can't say enough good things about Jessica. 100% focused on me and what I need while I am at the gym. I'm bummed out because the steam room is now out of service.
I've found my fitness haven at GYMVMT. From the moment I stepped in, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The state-of-the-art facilities provide a wide range of equipment, ensuring I never have to wait. GYMVMT offers exceptional amenities. Joining this gym has been a game-changer for me.
Great staff here, every Saturday Idrive or sometimes even take a bus 1.5 hours from Claireview to train with Jordan and he makes it 110% worth the trip every time. The facility isn't as modern as the others I have been to, but the staff make it 100% my first preference. It's still always clean and usually not too crowded.
The staff at this gym are always friendly. You can ask any one a question and they will answer it. The equipment and locker rooms are always clean and safe. It’s not to busy so you don’t have to wait around to use something. The trainers always post different challenges and keep the gym a fun and exciting place to be!
I've been coming to this gym for many years due to the encouraging atmosphere, the supportive staff members, and the easy access to equipment. I'm rarely ever waiting for a rack to be free! Jesse is a wonderful manager and trainer and is very dedicated to helping his members and clients achieve their training goals.
I have been training with Rachel H. for the last 4 years in group classes and one on one PT sessions. Rachel is a great motivator and helps keep me on track towards my goals. She keeps workouts fun and interesting. I would highly recommend her as a trainer to anyone regardless of their fitness level or experience.
Been with gymmvt for a year with PT Tasha and she has been such an encouraging, positive, happy trainer to be with. We’re reaching the goals that I’ve talked with her and recently, she has introduced me into the world of Olympic lifting. All the other staff too are welcoming and nice, like Matt, Dan, and Rachel.
Really good gym. They are really clean. The receptionist greets me by my name everytime I go there. Definitely don't see that anywhere else, adds a personal touch. The gym itself has all the machines that I need to work different muscle groups. Their classes are good, instructors are helpful and very nice
Facilities are great. Equipments are new. Lots of crowd because one of there location in south has been permanently closed. Not giving one start because of the price they offer. Their price is high compares to their competitors. They even know that competitions is rising. So I end up unsubscribing them
I was pleasantly surprised by this gym. World Health, in my previous visits, has been known to stick to the classics. But this location had some equipment that I haven’t seen anywhere else, and they’re clearly working on expanding their definition of fitness. Lots of equipment for all training styles.
I personally benefit a lot from the personal training services, my trainer Rachel is fantastic at creating fun and challenging workouts. She makes sure that each exercise can be adapted to everyone’s ability levels in our small group workouts, which creates a really positive and inclusive environment.
Location can get very busy at times, may hard to get a spot at free weights but usually can get a cardio machine. Change rooms are ok but showers and steam room could use a decent pressure wash. Steam room is nice and hot. They have deodorant, hair gel, hairspray, mouthwash, etc in the change rooms.
My experience at GYMVMT has been excellent. The facility is spotless clean and the staff are friendly; helpful and supportive. The classes are fun and engaging. The ladies working out are encouraging and supportive of one another. The infra red sauna at the end of a workout is the cherry on top!
Best trainer I've ever had is at this facility. His name is Richard. The other staff are wonderful and very helpful and inviting. They will go above and beyond to help you reach your goals and add positivity into your life. Definitely helped me through a difficult stage in my life. 5++ stars :)
Great equipment, iffy atmosphere. I went there for 8 years, and it really hit the skids after the latest rebrand. Almost all of the good trainers are gone, and the crowd changed last summer into the judgy, selfie snapping, super tank top flexing crew. If that's not your thing, stay away.
I love this place! It's become my second home. The personal trainers are so wonderful. Everyone seems to be following protocol's which is great to see. I only had one incident with an employee based on their rude attitude at the front desk but I don't think they work there anymore.
Popped in here for a workout while in town and was pleased with the selection of equipment. Lots of cardio, free weights, and even an area for power lifting and Olympic lifts. The change rooms were well appointed, bright and clean. Wish my GYMVMT location in Calgary was this good!
As you walk in a friendly face! The gym provides me enough equipment and the members are friendly. Everyone is there to feel good and improve their bodies and minds! I also really enjoy the classes so many different ways to enhance your body. Love it all !
All around great environment, and staff. LOVE LOVE LOVE the girls in kids club. They dont get enough praise for how wonderful they are! It's so much easier to come spend time here when I know my daughter is having fun and being treated like family.
Great gym equipment. Focus seems to be on powerlifting , CrossFit and bodybuilding. Lots of equipment that you won’t find at other gyms ( reverse hyper , flute ham raise machine , adjustable bench presses and more) great stretching area as well .
Good gym, but staff doesn't enforce covid protocols. Gym members are expected to follow the instructions shown on signs posted in various areas. Many members don't though, so the experience can be unpleasant for people that do follow protocol.
I love this location. Holly was great she gave my awesome advice on my deadlift and mobility support that made it possible for me to his 405 on my deadlift. Highly recommend if you want to improve. Plus its super easy to get to from gateway.
Amazing staff members, everyones so friendly and nice! Whenever Ryan is working, he will greet everyone which I think is so wholesome!! Definitely not an intimidating place to workout whereas some gyms are, highly recommend this location!
This club deserve 5 stars for sure. Very clean facility, nor crowded or busy even on peak hours. Jusine from front desk is beyond friendly and curious and whenever I come to the gym she always says HI, now that is Great customer service.
I just recently switched to this location and am loving it! The staff is amazing and the trainers all know what they're talking about. Its a comfortable environment with tons of equipment so I know I can always get a good workout in
I've been going to GYMVMT for 2 years now and love it. The staff, instructors, and trainers are all very friendly and professional. My trainer Jesse goes above and beyond to keep me accountable and on track with my fitness journey.
This gym is fantastic! All of the staff are so warm and friendly! They really know how to make you feel like youre a part of something! I personally connected with Megan! If you wanna have fun and get results, Megan is your girl :)
Megan is an an amazing personal trainer! Very knowledgeable, made sure i did my work out correctly and pushed me when I needed it. Just the motivation I need :) very pleased with my workouts with her! Would reccomend her to anyone
Great gym! Very well equipped. I'm referring to Calgary Trail facility. If you don't like crowds like me, pick a less busy time. Playlist could be a little better but in the end, it's about the workout and not to listen music.
Im a few months new to this gym, it’s always very clean and welcoming, all the staff are nice. Shout out to trainers Rachel and Lindsay for getting me started out here and helping me get into the groove again. This gym rules!
Awesome gym, has a lot of equipment and the staff are super friendly. Very clean gym / locker room. The only downside is it does get fairly busy between 4-6, so it does limit some workouts. Has everything you need though!
The gym is very clean and has all the equipment you need for a great workout. The atmosphere of the gym is one of the best in the city. The trainers are always on the floor and willing to help with anything you need.
The worst gym I’ve ever been too- Be cautious signing up with them as they will harass and bill you after canceling your no contract membership. There’s multiple Reddit forums and a Facebook group about this gym.
I like the facility. Aaron is a great manager and he's always around interacting with members. If I ever need any help he never hesitates to take some time with me. The staff has always been very friendly.
Big gym with a lot of extra services which is nice. The change rooms have lots of fancy soaps and lotions and stuff which I never use personally but it's a nice touch. Lots of equipment and helpful staff.
Been coming here for just over 3 years! Super nice and clean. Excellent staff! Always feel safe and supported in my fitness journey. Have been training with Jesse for 2 years and he’s absolutely amazing!
Spacious gym, with decent equipments for what you pay. Good friendly staff, location is good too. Only con is, the shower water pressure is just awful, it’s a drizzle, can’t call that shower.
This gym is da bomb. Ryan is da bomb. Rachel is da bomb. Highly recommended joining, staff is friendly. Facilities are clean. Every one that works out here is really nice!
The classes are nice gym is big trainers are REALLY GOOD and the little movers child care workers are so good with the children they deserve the best thank you …
Best gym I've been to. Private showers for men, helpful staff, quality equipment, a female only section, towels on demand, and very optimal environment for working out.
I love the Barre class a lot. Not many gym offer barre class. The only thing I wish is that they offer more group class on Friday night and weekend afternoon
Super friendly staff!!! Ryan, Rachel and Jenifer are always so nice to chat with. Management even put buckets by the cardio machines for you to throw up in!
I’ve gone to a few gyms lately and I like this location the most. I signed up for month-to-month. The membership fee, space and equipment seems reasonable.
Super comfortable atmosphere and very knowledgeable training staff. Easily the best gym I have ever been a part of! Cannot wait for my next workout.
Nice gym with a good variety of equipments. It has what you need to have a good workout. I enjoyed my workout here and will be coming back.
Poor Customer service and lots of challenges with old broken equipment. Save your money as there are better gym options out there.
