The owner of this franchise is just fantastic. He really cares about his customers. Even though the store is out of the way, I make an effort to visit. When I first got my little puppy - a Dachshund - my vet gave me a commercial brand of food to give to her. Being horrified by the content of the food, I decided to educate myself and the first place I landed was this store. Needless to say, the owner of the store made me feel so comfortable and so much more at ease with what I was buying that I became and educated buyer of pet food. He took out time to explain all the different types of food, from kibble all the way up to raw so I could grasp my options. He is fantastic! I'm am ever so grateful to him for making the land of dog food that much understandable. He reassured me that I would 'get it' and encouraged me to continue to do my research. He also introduced me to the ZIWI brand which is now a staple in my dog's food. I have written to ZIWI and let them know how wonderful their product is, but I would have never known about them if it had not been for the owner of this store. Any major purchases and decisions I can honestly say I only trust the Ellesmere store and recommend it highly. It feels like they really know who their customers are - we are not just another customer - they want to know your name and will remember it. Now that is something! This store leaves me with a very good impression of the Global Pet Food Franchise and you have become the first store I go to for when I want to learn more about pet food and treats. Leaving such an amazing impression on a first time dog owner speaks highly not only on the brand but how you select your franchisees. I have visited a few Global Pet Foods around Toronto but the one on Ellesmere should be your flagship and set an example of OUTSTANDING customer service!

Great store and great staff. Great selection of raw food and treats. We attended the Christmas photoshoot and were very disappointed. The lady who was taking the pictures gave me attitude right away when I asked about the price, if I'm getting a service I would like to know exactly what I'm getting and for how much. She was very shorthanded with our dog trying to grab him roughly. I was just about to snap on her but managed to hold it in. Cheap photo, dollar store frame with a sticker and no digital copy for around 20 bucks, never again. I understand those people are not store employees, but with that attitude they are driving your customers away. I really contemplated not coming back to your store. If I see the lady there next Christmas I will never come back to the store. Don't hire money hungry people, your store is all about customer service and providing quality products. Hiring a photographer like that goes against everything you stand for, please look into getting someone else next time.

This is to express my thanks to the wonderful staff at this location. I came in close to their closing hours looking something that would help relieve my bunny's (suspected) tummy ache. (I apologize for not getting their names) The staff on-site was very empathetic with my situation. Even though they did not have the product that I was looking for, they went above and beyond by providing me advice (with giving me full disclosure and making sure that I understand that they are not veterinarians) and also giving me information on where the closest emergency vet clinic for rabbits are should my rabbit's condition gets worse. It was my first time visiting this store and they gave me exceptional customer service. I will for sure visit this location more!

I recently visited Global Pet Foods and was blown away by the friendly customer service. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were all incredibly helpful and took the time to ask questions and really understand my needs. They made sure to provide me with all the information I needed to make an informed decision and were more than happy to answer any questions I had. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Global Pet Foods and would highly recommend it to anyone in need of high-quality pet products and exceptional customer service.

Needed to find a place for an abandoned kitten. If I payed for her shots, the food she ate and litter while awaiting adoption they'd take her in. (Never got an answer about spay issue, kept being told we can work something out) The cat run on the wall isn't designed properly was sad to think of her in that fixture. It's my hope that enough complaints could see some changes there. All in all it's an owner that's all businesses, sees the $ in the pet industry and owns multiple stores. How about some real giving back! Just my 2 cents. Didn't leave the kitten.

Ive been visiting this location for almost 3 years and never have I been disappointed. The staff is incredible and are always there to help not only with products, but with any questions I may have regarding my two dogs - the staff truly love animals and it shows in the pride they have in their jobs. My two are always welcome (on leash) and they get spoiled everytime we go. Kudos to everyone!! Would recommend this location (all independently owned and operated) to anyone looking for a great pet food/treat/anything your animal may desire store

I love going to this location, all the staff are amazing, friendly and especially helpful when it comes to asking about foods, products, behaviours and toys!! I order raw every time I’m running low and they always get it in fast and hold it until I’m able to go get it. They have a great rewards program for most of their food they sell. Every time I go in I always comes out with more than I went in for. The best part of all, Louie the staff dog, I am always giving him some pets when I go in! Highly recommend this location

Came here a few weeks ago to check it out for their food options. The sales associate, Brad, was super helpful in showing us around and telling us the brands they offer, and why they offer the type of foods that they do. Also loved his energy. It was great hearing about the package less options and the numberous locally made treats and kibble. Picked up a bully stick sourced locally and smoked in the stockyards. Will definitely come back to buy more after this experience.

I give this a one-star rating only because you can't give it a 0 star rating and only because of the groomers that they allowed to rent the downstairs location because of what Maria Diane Bates did to my dog has she slashed his neck and hid it from me with a bandana then when I called she put it all on the girl that worked for her and last time I went in there she tried to harass me and she stalking my phone if you love your dogs do not bring them to that evil evil woman

It was absolutely fantastic. I wish I had the ladies name that my daughter and dealt with but she was super friendly so so kind extremely helpful such a delight to talk with was very informative about specials and new things that were happening throughout the the month. We were there Saturday afternoon and I'm not sure if that's the lady's normal shift but she was phenomenal we left smiling we left I felt like it was friends excellent work great job my love

Very friendly staff. Great selection of dog chewies... my mastiff loves pigs ears so I was surprised to find different things like cow ears and different sizes. Lots of different products even the home made dog cookies. Only thing I don't love was the parking lot... not the easiest to get to the store... parking lot was a weird lay out and a little dangerous with cars flying through and pedestrians walking around. But great store

I was in this location a while ago for the first time, the gentleman behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. The store was clean and well organized. This seems like a great location, a neighbourhood shop with good service is hard to find nowadays. Sadly, my cat is a picky eater and the brand she likes is not carried there but I still wanted to give a shout out for the awesome service …sure beats a pet valu!

The owner is amazing! My dog has been having issues with his meals lately. Vet said everything is fine, but expressed my concern to the owner, he gave me a few samples to try that would last a couple days, and also gave me cat grass and explained it's benefits. Safe to say spot on with the cat grass, and will be trying out these Grand Cru samples over the next couple of days! Thanks so much!!

Each time I visit, I find the staff here to be friendly, proactive, and knowledgeable. Although the store has expanded, it still isn't the largest one around, so selection may be a bit more limited compare to other stores. However, I've never had any trouble finding what I was looking for. They are also located in a great spot with a vet's office next door and a dog park just across the road.

Friendly and helpful staff. They have many varieties of foods to choose from for yours truly. The food is of good quality. They also do a lot to support animals in need of help. They also have points cards, accepts air miles, has raffles, and offers deals, like for example one free meal after 14 of the same purchase. Definitely one of the best stores worth supporting!

All other global pet foods are customer friendly, employees especially the female manager and her assistants are profit oriented. Just avoid this store/franchise. I have heard the same issue from others too but today I have experienced it too. This 1 star is for the elderly men who takes extra mile off service, extremely friendly.

This is my favourite pet store. I have 3 big dogs and we have bought them so many treats and toys there over the last few years. They don't have the sale days as other big stores do but they are 90% Canadian. I have recommended this store to all my friends with pets and I reccommend it to any one who's reading this review.

Quiet store. Service is pretty fast and employees are very helpful. I believe each global pet foods store is independently owned which I find independently owned stores tend to care more than the big box ones. Dog food prices are decent and they also carry a wide selection of grain free kibble.

Very wide selection of rabbit supplies. Compared to all the PetSmarts and PetValus I’ve been to, this store has the most affordable treats and the most options. My rabbit loved them a lot. The staff was also very kind and helpful. Would go out of my way to come back to this location again.

Customer service is great. They always say hi and are willing to help. They always have the dog food I buy in stock. The only bad thing, which isn't their fault, is their system. Sometimes the receipt doesn't always show how many bags I still need to buy in order to get one free.

Have been using this pet store for the past several years and am very pleased with their location and service. Never any trouble to park and the staff are very pleasant and friendly. Offer to carry out bags of kitty litter for a senior citizen, gratefully accepted.

Me and my girlfriend came here looking for a specific brand of dog food, as our dog has certain dietary restrictions. We were greeted by Nicole, who told us although they don’t carry the brand, they can special order it for us.

I always go here to get stuff for my French Bulldog! Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and always accomodate for the pup when he's thirsty and even got to sample a treat! Would highly recommend this location.

Carry a large variety of pet supplies at reasonable prices. Accept all credit, debit cards as well as cash and promote Airmiles. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

The staff here is always so helpful and nice! We have a pretty large and energetic dog, and they're always sweet to him too, which is really refreshing.
