I recently had the pleasure of visiting Glow Up Beauty Lounge in Hamilton, and I must say that it was an absolutely delightful experience. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Alex, the talented stylist who took care of me and truly made my graduation day extra special. From the moment I walked through the doors of the salon, I was greeted by a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff members were all welcoming and professional, instantly putting me at ease. The lounge itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained, creating a relaxing environment where I could truly unwind and enjoy my pampering session. I cannot emphasize enough how impressed I was with Alex, her skills and expertise. She listened attentively to my desires and took the time to understand the exact look I wanted to achieve for my graduation. Alex's attention to detail and commitment to creating a natural yet glamorous look were truly commendable. When it came to my hair, Alex worked her magic effortlessly. She expertly styled and fixed my hair, giving it the perfect balance of volume and elegance. I was amazed at how flawlessly my hair turned out, and it stayed in place throughout the entire day, even with all the excitement and dancing at the graduation ceremony. The makeup application by Alex was a true masterpiece. She skillfully enhanced my features while maintaining a natural and radiant look. I felt like the best version of myself, and the compliments I received from my friends and teachers at school were a testament to her incredible talent. The makeup lasted beautifully throughout the day and photographed exceptionally well, capturing the memories of my special day. Show up and glow up is right!!! Alex and her team are truly the masters of their craft. This one stop shop salon provides tons of services, from bridal beauty, incredible hair styling, relaxing and effective facials, laser hair removal, etc. All hair stylists are fabulous with clients as someone who has been in the salon many times. Alex did my hair for my bridal shower and it was exactly what I wanted for my big day. Taylor provides unreal facial experiences, I cant even describe the level of technique she uses for facial massage. Its as if an angels hands are removing the bad energy from your face!!! The salon uses a great skincare line and fabulous jelly masks which feel refreshing and made my face glow. Alex did my makeup for my wedding and used a perfect mix of her own expertise and following my vision. I looked so great but not overdone and my pictures turned out fantastic. I looked like an enhanced version of myself - and the mind blowing part is she can do this in an hour- ish and throw on a set of lashes in a minute flat. The best part about this salon & team is the energy they give off. They are professional, loving, positive, and will make you feel and look your best. Lets not doubt the impact this has on your self confidence and the way you carry yourself. SHOW UP AND GLOW UP!!

Never been here , Booked online for a Simple Quick Consultation for Hair Extensions 2 weeks prior. Day b4 my 1st appointment it was pushed back a day and then on the day of my consultation my appointment got cancelled and they have no options for me , So they Like to loose NEW Good Paying Customers and make them feel worthless and not good enough even to be a part of this beauty Establishment. This is Disgusting, as being apart of an industry that was almost completely tarnished by COVID-19. I would think you want new clients. This business is doing well enough so don’t go there and give them your business they have enough clients apparently. Zero Professionalism .

I got a haircut at Glow Up by Olivia and I love it! Not just my hair but the whole experience. Alex, the owner, was so warm and welcoming from the second I got there. You can tell she is so passionate about the place and what she does and really knows her stuff. The girls that work there truly work together as a team and make you feel like part of their family from the second you walk in to the second you leave. Olivia made me look and feel like a supermodel and entertained my weirdness the whole time. She, along with everyone at glow up, is a genuine gem. I will definitely go back and you should too!!

I have Shawn as my hairdresser now and I keep coming back since I am always more than satisfied. I've gone to other places in the past and have had issues with them trying to push products that I don't want/ need, or they always cut more off my hair then I ask, but I've never had issues like these with Shawn. I can simply tell Shawn what I'm looking for and he does just that and does a fantastic job. Shawn also clearly knows what he is doing and is passionate about it and that overall makes for a better experience. I'll be continuing to come back here and highly recommend it for others.

I absolutely loved getting my hair done by Melly. She is a true professional and a very sweet person. I went in for a colour fix. I had ugly faded purple hair that I had done myself during Covid lockdown. She did a thorough consultation. She listened to what I was looking for and let me know what could or couldn’t be done. She went above and beyond to make sure my colour was just right. I kept saying she was a scientist with the way she managed to remove all the green and purple tones that were in my hair. l can’t wait to go back to her for my next cut and colour.

I do not have enough words to say about this fabulous group of people. The environment is SO welcoming and comfy. Mais is an absolute GENIUS when it comes to hair colour (and cut in my opinion). Every member of the team is kind and helpful. Family owned and run. I also go here for my laser with Licia and she is THE BEST. I am very anxious and she doesn’t even bat an eyelash at whatever I need to be comfy during these appointments. 10/10 would recommend for literally any service they provide based on my consistent experiences here.

I love this salon Olivia did an amazing job on my hair colour and cut. I constantly get positive comments from friends and family. Olivia was friendly, upbeat, and professional. She paid attention to detail and constantly checked in to ensure I was comfortable and satisfied. A warm and friendly hairstylist who puts her clients needs first. I had my makeup done by Alex for my college graduation and was blown away with how beautiful my look came out! I went into my appointment with a vision and she made it come to life! She was extremely nice, very professional and made sure throughout each step that I was happy with the application which I really appreciated! My makeup lasted all day and I received so many compliments! Her love for her craft truly shines through in her work and I would recommend her one hundred percent!!!

I had my makeup done by Alex last summer. Not only did she do an amazing job with my makeup, but made me feel so beautiful throughout my appointment. My makeup stayed on all day and night and she did the exact eye look that I explained. She was professional, accommodating to my schedule, and one of the nicest business owners I've worked with. I had a very difficult hair treatment (adding Grey Highlights to dark hair) done by Melly, it involved many steps and techniques. She had amazing knowledge and made me feel very comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. Alex also assisted Melly and both made sure the experience was clean and safe. They took their time to ensure that I was completely happy with the result. The cost was in line with the products, treatment, and service I received, great value.

Alex is amazing!!! I cannot say enough about the amazing work she did. I received so many compliments on how amazing my makeup was. My eyes are very delicate when it comes to eye makeup, but she knew exactly how to work with them and provided tips and tricks. She makes you feel extremely comfortable in her studio, And the doggy love at the end was the best. Alex has done my makeup 3 times now and every time I am blown away by her talent and professionalism. As someone who doesn’t wear makeup on a daily basis, she made me feel confident and comfortable in my skin. She knew exactly what look I was trying to achieve even without much detail on my part. You transform me every time I am in…I always look forward to a new look, extension, on trend makeup. The best part is being hairless…love the laser hair removal.

Shawn is an amazing stylist and always leaves me looking gorgeous, he knows exactly what colour and cut I want each time! I got my hair dyed, cut, and styled by Olivia! I have natural dirty blonde hair and dye my hair dark brown. Anytime I go elsewhere, the stylist can never get my roots to match the rest of my hair due to my natural hair being so light. Olivia absolutely killed it. The colour was perfecttt not too dark and still even throughout. She even styled my hair with beautiful beachy waves! Would highly recommend

Flo is exceptionally skilled in his craft. The entire staff at glow up beauty lounge are so kind, welcoming and friendly. When you go get your hair done it’s like home away from home. Not to mention I left feeling like a super model. Flo was able to achieve one of the hardest trends (copper hair) on my dark hair flawlessly. Leave it to these professionals to have you leave feeling and looking fabulous.

I had my makeup done by Alex C for a wedding, and she did an exceptional job! I am super picky - and have sensitive/acne prone skin - she used products that were good for my skin type and made me feel very comfortable during the entire visit. My makeup looked AMAZING and lasted 15 hours. The entire salon is very clean, professional and all of the staff were very welcoming. I will 100% be returning!

Alex is the best! She recently did my makeup (along with 10 other bridesmaids) at the pillar and post in Niagara on the Lake. Everyone loved their makeup - she took her time and made sure that every person's makeup was perfect. It lasted all day and night and looked gorgeous in photos. Glow Up literally has anything and everything you need covered under one roof. It is such a beautiful atmosphere and the staff as even lovelier! Alex is a master of all things beauty, but dang when it comes to makeup, she makes you feel like yourself but the glowed up version that you wish you could be everyday! And Licia is a master of laser hair removal! Highly recommend!

Great place to take care of all your needs. Made an appointment on the phone with a very helpful and professional. Flo was my stylist and did an excellent job after carefully understanding what I was trying to do. He chose the perfect color and applied it very professionally. From the start till end it was a wonderful experience. I will definitely go back there again.

Just had brow lamination and tint with Taylor. She was amazing! She knew I was a little nervous getting this done, she took the extra time to show me step by step what she doing and gave me options. She kept my brows very natural which is what I wanted. I'll definitely be booking another appointment with Taylor!
