We had a volunteer day at the stadium and worked a food drive. The day started with the officer directing me to the right entrance as I stirred at the cones blocking my way; yep - 8t was noted in the instructions I didn't read because I "knew" how to get there. The staff supporting the drive were passionate about the ministry. I never got the "helping the poor unfortunate" vibe - it was a person in need and I care about them. I learned that the SA Food bank serves so much more than San Antonio - I believe it's over 70 counties. The drive was a well oiled machine. Once the cars start moving, food is going into cars, empty boxes and crates disappeared, and supplies were rebalance. Our 60 volunteers were joined by a sizable collection of others. Together we processed 1015 cars - many were picking up items for 2 families. It all happened in just a few hours but left a huge impact on me even though I've done several drives. Attitude matters - the tone was established by the officer that patiently instructed me at those cones and preached by the staff leader for our drive.
Came here multiple times for my child's Special Olympics. It's very spacious for multiple schools to go about doing various activities, all at once, with plenty of seating on the side. There are also plenty of parking on visitor and home sides of the stadium. Can't say how it is on an actual game with it being packed since never attending it during such a time. Inside the gates, it's always been clean every time we went. The bathrooms have always been clean (I still find it funny having to put a lock on the toilet paper dispenser but understandable) and so has the consession stand. Not sure on the concession stand since it's never been open to sell food or drinks but the inside seems clean and the menu they have lists a decent amount of both.
I enjoyed the place when I went to watch the Solar Cars Competition, but after they had us move to the opposite side, my friend had parked on one side of the stadium and I on the other. When it was time to leave, I had a tough time remembering where I had parked. We finally found it after we went around in circles. My Granddaughter said I should've taken a picture of where we parked. I had been so happy that I found a parking spot in the front; then to not be able to find the suv at the end was frustrating to say the least!
This track has been a real blessing for me. It’s open to the public on weekdays, and I use it for the track. After 30 years of running on concrete, damage has set in, and this track has enabled me to continue to run without pain or damage. I appreciate the community for offering this resource. It has nice clean restrooms and drinking fountains. I feel safe here. The security is top-notch, and it’s right across the street from the police station.
I Do Not recommend, playoffs held Tonite , an of course my small town one , But two sapd West law enforcement,Hispanic an white very rude, especially Hispanic suited up one puts his ✋ z on me, by force an shoved me on my side, telling me to go back the way I came in !#I will notify an attorney, just trying to watch asimple playoff school football game held in s.a. which like did someone pay that cop off?
Very nice area. Children often are performing here or a health drive is happening. I associate this place with all public awareness events. The stadium is clean and parking is nice. It’s a safe area due to high police trafficking . It is kinda hard getting in and out during rush hours . Other than that it’s a great area for kids to shine and show off their talents .
Here for the first HS football game of the 2023 season. It was a 100plus degrees today. So of course, at 7 PM when the game starts 95 degrees, no beverage including water allowed from outside, no working water fountains, an only one bank of concession stands opened per side. So you decide, is it NISD, Gus Stadium, or San Antonio that sucks!
As every food drive, u know u got to get there early. It started at 9a.m. I got there at 8:37a.m. Ofcourse, I had 5 rows ahead of me, but surprisingly, at exactly 9a.m., things started moving quickly. I managed to get out of there at 9:57a.m. Amazingly, all the volunteers were so organized. It made the whole process worth the wait.
Been here a few times for various events. It is a small older building but it still holds up. Easy to find everything and navigate to where you need to go or find who you need to. We went last for the special Olympics and it was a great time. It was easy to be able to see everything and be close to my son with his school.
Great place for Fiday Night Lights, but we are in a pandemic with covid, and there was no soap in the men's restroom, they were all out, sad. No sanitizer for hands exiting the bathroom, come on people, let's do better. It might have been, just one day. I should be back next week, and will update, my 2 cents.
Great experience watching High School football and the related events. Despite being in the midst of a pandemic this helps brings some normalcy to families and friends watching their kids participate across the field. Worth noting that everyone was practicing social distancing to the best of their ability.
Awesome day with our most precious kids, God's miracle babies were on the loose, awesome therapist, coaches that have a heart for this kids, good Coach Donna...nisd.. God bless all the people that our into it's kids daily ✝️✝️✝️.. Albert. G..**parent**Thornton Elementary.. …
Coming back to this satudium with my teen age daughters brought back so many memories of my high school days...ahhhh what a time. Really enjoyed watching the game and hanging with the faithful. Everything was so clean and will be returning at my daughter's convenience!! Northside!!
HARDIN Stadium is what it reads on the sign at the entrance. Apparently they changed the name at some point but never changed the sign. So if you’re wondering if you’re at the right place, you are. FYI: Concession stand takes cash or credit as if this message from March of 2023.
Actually at the Paul Taylor gymnasium for a volleyball game. An aging facility, but still a great venue with lots of parking!! Concessions were reasonable and had a great selection of good eats! One of the more enjoyable volleyball venues in town.
No outside food or drinks....this rule needs to change. Not compatible with parents who aren't made of money. Lady took a bus there, they wouldn't let her in because she had her work stuff with her for the night. C'mon, y'all can be better...
Had a great time at Homecoming for John Jay Mustangs they had 1969 and 1970 alumni and the first football coach along with former homecoming queens.Must of all watched my oldest grand daughter on the. Fillies dance team for her Senior year.
The stadium itself is nice. Food. Well the hot dogs had mold on them $2 ea and the cheese tastes weird...expect to pay $3 for drinks. If you can take your own stuff, which you can from what I saw. Do so. Good social distance seating.
Beautiful day would be great spent here. Exercise or riding a bike is great here since there is plenty room and parking is easy here.periodically on Friday the food bank of SA uses it for food distribution. Must register first.
Hey slight bit of trouble finding the correct entry place got a ticket for going around a cone but finally after three tries finding the correct entrance more signage would really help. The people working were great five star
People were standing up by the railing and security was not enforcing what the signs said about no standing or leaning on the rails. Very frustrating when you can't watch your son play football.
Nice stadium, plenty of parking, security, and decent bathrooms. My only advice is to eat before going because the concession stand is quite expensive and don’t forget your seat cushion …
This stadium is rather old, but the atmosphere and the turf was very good. I loved the location, it being right next to an airbase, you see lots of military planes which was fun for the kids
Was there on a Saturday for JPS vs Sotomayor football game. Plenty of parking, quick gate entry, well organized, and concession stand lines moved quickly! Great selection of food …
Nice place for high school football games, but they charged to much for kids to enter and you can't bring any food or even water for that matter. Facility is clean the food is over price.
Good stadium, modern. I would rate 5 stars if they just accepted debit/credit cards. Holy cow. All that taxpayer money used to build this place and they can't even keep up with the times.
Good stadium, lots of parking , snack bar, well lit stadium and surrounding areas, good Police security on site during games or events, safe place ..good crowd of people . highly recommend.
Facilities are well maintained: litter-free. NISD Faculty & Police are key to successful events; friendly, helpful, & incident-free...smooth-son, like a well-oiled machine. Norma.out.
Didn't seem like it had been cleaned well in awhile. Plenty of parking. The bleacher seating gets hard on your backside quick. You must bring a cushion or chair with a backing.
I went to collect food from the SA Food Bank. There were a lot of cars but ones the line started to move it was a relatively easy process . The volunteers were very organized!!
I like it because the visiting away team has their own parking lot and you don't have to walk through the home side's fans and cars. Concession line was fast and friendly
Great stadium. Northside ISD referees need more training. The soccer game I watched was full of flagrant fouls with little if any official intervention. Javier Rodriguez
This is not a major league adult facility... the whole block was built FOR THE STUDENTS. Wish the amenities would reflect that or allow families to bring what they need.
I had the time of my life enjoying these talented football players and amazing drum line from Leon valley putting on a beautiful show! God Bless you all and Go Rams!
They have the stadium open to summer use, free of charge. It's only the weekdays though and from 6am -2pm. Track use only, no field use but good for summer workouts.
Nice clean stadium, great views and plenty of parking. Typical bench seating so bring a bench chair if you have one. Clean bathrooms and plenty of concession areas.
Volunteered with handing out soda packs for those in need for the SA Food Bank in the stadium parking lot. They are doing some renovations at the actual stadium.
Thanks . My granddaughter and her school Langley elementary had Special Olympic event and I enjoyed the whole experience. Thanks Again thanks …
the game was good . but the food there was.real bad . food was very cold & the sodas were warm or hot. NAYBE THEY MIXED THEM UP . IF GO AGAIN I'LL EAT B4 I GO
Everyone was so Awsome and helpful and Joyful and Loving. Thank you everyone for helping our family. Thank you Jesus Christ and San Antonio Food Bank.
Nice stadium. As a senior citizen, I would appreciate hand rails along the steps up the bleachers. Good concession stand and restrooms. Good lighting
We were there for good bank and it was well organized. We are very thankful for all the volunteers that help and the police depsartment.
Went to all the football game's,baseball game's and basketball game's while I was growing up but it was called Paul Taylor Stadium
Love this place lots of memories here grew up as a cheerleader in this stadium as far back when it was Paul Taylor field house
Like the way pep, dance and band have separation from the rest of the crowd. So many great memories from when I was young!
For the price you pay for a room and the promise of continual breakfast pastry and coffee is fitting under this standards
The safety precautions that NISD are taking is a good thing. It allows the athletes to play and family to support them
Pretty nice stadium in Northside ISD. Only real complaint is that a lot of the time you can not hear the announcer.
Its always really clean and everyone involved with the special Olympics are always so positive and friendly....
Games here are always a blast. Its clean and there is plenty of security in the stadium and in the parking lot.
Today was the San Antonio Food Drive. Was very organized and the stadium itself was nice and restrooms clean.
Very well organized. Friendly people. Not crazy about 2 hour waiting time though. Won’t be doing this again !
Great place to come with your family and support nisd football schools .and the rest rooms are top notch.
1st time being here it was nice and clean, restrooms available, snack area alot of seating and great view
Very clean, they have hand sanitazer, the most important, people put their trash, in the trash cans.
Went to SAFB and well organized typical wait time about an hour...in pick up out...Thank you SAFB...
Clean stadium, clean bathrooms, good concessions, but there were cricket-type bugs everywhere …
Nice stadium. A little dated but still a good place for high school football. Bring bleacher chairs
My old school stadium. Was pleased to see they have it really cleaned up and the field is awesome.
Nice stadium but I wouldn't recommend that you buy a rain coat there because it's not worth it.
Huge place for many available venues, parking very good, great facilaties. Overall great place
Nice field friendly staff. Limited disability access. No, protection from elements in stands.
Very nice place to go set in line for the FoodBank to hand out delious food for Thanksgiving!
I'm very impressed at the cleanliness, the parking, and knowing that it's all for the kids
Coming home to where I played my last high school game 35 years ago. Still looks great!
Still a great place for High School Football games, little dated but great atmosphere.
Average high school stadium for Texas. The layout is nice, but nothing extraordinary.
It's the food bank. But they are very nice to the people who are in need . Everytime
Nice facility but they won't let you get tickets at the ticket box or pay with cash
NISD has a great complex. Very clean and a lot of parking unlike JISD's.
Very well run. Staff was very courteous and attentive to guests' needs.
Horrible and rude staff. Thank you for a great experience for our kids!
NISD natatorium has great chemicals. It's a wonderful place to swim!
went to support my grand nephew playing football for brennan team
I like this place for a food bank distribution it's very helpful
It's an older venue but NISD has worked hard to keep it updated.
NW side San Antonio school district stadium. Plenty of parking
While the stadium is nice, the one line to exit is ridiculous
Many memories at this stadium. Old but strong and sturdy.
Bring seat cushions. Great venue for HS games and events.
Very nice i had a hatd time finding it but it was nice
I use to play in this stadium now my son plays there
Great stadium to watch a high school football game.
Great place to watch a high school football game!
Huge parking lot! Was here for the food bank
Great stadium for HS Football. Go John Jay!
It was a good night for a track meet.
Easy entrance to the stadium
We went there for band
Very nice stadium
