I've used Harmcor twice, and though they're friendly I wouldn't use them again. Specifically, I've had issues with them arriving on time. The first visit was booked and confirmed in advance, however on the day of the visit there was no communication and when I called they had "forgotten" about the appointment. They did come out, but it was much later than originally scheduled. There were similar problems with the second visit. Knowing the problems I'd had with the first visit, I phoned the day of the appointment to confirm they were still coming and was assured they would arrive during the scheduled time. They didn't and it took multiple calls from me to get an update on what was happening. Throughout the day they continually promised times which they would then miss, without calling me to advise. Originally we'd booked an appointment between 9:00-12:00, but they finally arrived around 3:00. Once out, the service person was friendly and apologetic both visits, but was also slow and needed to phone the office frequently for assistance. They fixed the issue after the first visit, but weren't able to do anything to fix our issues during the second time though they did spend almost an hour trying. Overall, given the high price and poor delivery, I'm going to try another option for my next plumbing issue. Though they were friendly, it wasn't worth the frustration to deal with them.

A warning to people buying the Tankless Water Heater refered to as "Endless Hot Water". Bought what we thought was a top of the line (atleast over $2,000 Dollars can't remember) only to realize a while later, that if this is installed for example 100 feet from a sink, you have to let 100 feet of your water go down the drain before the hot water gets there.The waste, the cost,the inconvenience and the shame of wasting all that water is a lot more than i can handle at times. When we determined that we have to do something about it, we were told for quite a few hundred dollars that they could put some kind of adapter on it that was apparently wasn't not available when we made the purchase or we were never told about it. Shame on them for not making us aware or selling this kind of unit in the first place. Who in their right mind would want this set up? If you want to go back to a tank you are into a couple thousand dollars again (atleast). On a pensioner's budget you don't need dollar surprises. Harmcor should make anyone selling & installing their products responsible in making the customer aware of this problem. How is this allowed to happen? Or was i the only stupid one? Ashamed i didn't catch it, but sure paid my bill on time.

Beware of their prices... the claim they will show you "options" and prices for repairs but they don't when its a straight forward repair. We called Harmcor and told them we had a leak from a shower behind a wall and told them it was likely due to a failed o-ring or missing o-ring. We had to hire a certified plumber incase we went through insurance. They came same day which was nice. They have a flat rate service call fee which includes diagnosis which is reasonable however once they saw it was a missing o-ring, they replaced it with one we provided and charged an additional $250 for a 30 second fix. Totally unacceptable in my mind and unfair considering we told them what the problem was in the first place and we were NOT given pricing options ahead of time. I called to discuss my bill with the office and spoke to someone who seemed like the owner or manager. He was very rude on the phone, told me I was wrong and told me he would call me back after he spoke to the plumber who came to site, he never did. I would never hire this company again nor recommend them as they do not seem like an honest or fair company to do business with.

I have had a few instances over the years where my furnace will stop working on Christmas Eve or Christmas day. In an attempt to be proactive, I asked a technician from Harmcor Plumbing and Heating come service my furnace at the beginning of December. The technician was friendly, and communicated with me about what he was doing while he was there, and things I needed to follow up on for my furnace to be operating to the best of its ability. A few months go by and my furnace stops working. Not on Christmas, thankfully, but in the middle of one of Edmonton’s cold snaps. I contacted Harmcor and Scott came over immediately to take a look at it. He diagnosed the problem almost instantly, fixed it and waited around to ensure that everything was working properly. In that time while we waited, he went over how often I should change my filter, and even sent me a google calendar reminder! The level of service was greatly appreciated, and as anyone who lives in this climate knows, it is critical a furnace gets fixed quickly to protect the house and everyone in it. I suggest using Harmcor for any of your house-heating needs.

We had Harmcor put in a new furnace and an air conditioning unit. We were very impressed for a number of reasons. One was that we always dealt with the same person, Scott, and we came to both like and trust him. Secondly they came up with a good plan to get both heat and cool air to the whole house, something that was not that easy to do. The plan was carefully and patiently explained to us. Thirdly and perhaps most importantly, when there were some small problems Scott was back to fix them, usually the same day and at the latest the next morning. We have found that with almost any home repair we have done, there can be minor problems. We have come to really appreciate those tradesmen, and it has been the majority, who come out quickly and fix the problem. Scott's communication skills are excellent, he explains what he is doing, why it needs to be done, and he is also excellent at letting us know when he will arrive and be done. I highly recommend this company.

Needed new plumbing installation on the entire home. Quoted a price for the job. Before starting the job, they told me they would have to charge $3,060 more to remove the old plumbing. They instructed another contractor to destroy 3/4 of the concrete flooring in the basement to install the drainage. I later found out from the new plumbing company that 2/3 of it did not need to be removed and cost me $5,500 to repair. The plumber was unprofessional; kept making excuses to not start or do the job and spent the entire time talking with other contractors. I had to hire another company to do the job. Harmcor ended up removing 1 pipe and insist I pay $3,060 even after I told the owner exactly what happened. Terrible experience and I absolutely don't recommend using this company for anything. I will be taking them to court if they continue to pursue this.

Gave me a quote for the kitchen faucet and change the guts on a bathtub faucet for $430. When he said he was done wrote up invoice for $430 paid by cheque. Didn't bother to tell me he couldn't fix the guts but wrote up a invoice. The technician went back in after I left and changed the whole faucet and charged my renter a single mother another $430. I was told she authorized the work which I knew was not true because she had told Norm to talk me before any work got done. There was no way I would have paid $900 for a kitchen and bathroom faucet. Thats definitely way over priced. I took the hit for the $430, but don't trust what they say. I guess you have to stand over them to watch what work they do. They offered me $230 credit on future work, why would I accept this This company is not trustworthy or reliable.

This company is not to be recommend at all. The plumber asked me to sign a form to pay for the service call for $89 and to do the job for $199 without inspecting the machine. It took him 3 hours to find the leak of the waterless hot water. The plumber seems like do not know what he was doing. He almost took pictures the whole part of the machine and sent it to the guy in the other line he was too. He opened the faucet and wasted lots of water. When I asked if I can turn off the faucet. He said sorry I forgot to turn it off. It took almost 4 hours for him to fix just for the simple leak because he was waiting for an answer from the other line Then the other person on the phone will instruct the plumber what to do. And he asked me to pay $500 just for a simple leak and paying his time for talking on the phone.

I unfortunately had issues with the toilet plumbing on our new Jayco Pinnacle 5th wheel trailer that was parked on our leased RV site. I was unsuccessful in finding any plumbers who might have experience in fixing a 5th wheel trailer until I spoke with Scott, the owner of Harmcor Plumbing. I explained the problem. Scott said he'd give it a try to resolve. As we were not present at the site, I asked our RV neighbors to open trailer and let me know what was happening. They gave me a raving review on how hard Scott was working. Scott was there for approximately 4 hrs and completed all that was asked. I am very pleased with the work Scott and his helper did! It's not all the time where an owner will come out and personally look after your problems. Hars off to Harmco Plumbing for a job well done!!p

I called Harmcor because a friend referred me. I was incredibly impressed by everyone involved in the process from booking to installation. Adam the gentleman that did the work made me feel comfortable and explained everything well!. They arrived quickly and replaced my leaking hot water tank with a newer one. It was not a simple job to replace as the basement of the house was finished around referred Hpt water tank! They couldn't just pull it out and put a new one in but they found one that would work. I also want to mention that Adam left no mess beyind like some companies do. I have used other plumbers years ago but none of them compared to the professionals at Harmcor. I will be using them again and recommend anyone that needs work to get call Hancor. Thank you Harmcor!!!!

Absolutely outstanding!! Morning of New Years Eve Day. No hot water! Phoned 9 Plumbing & Heating Companies. Some did not answer .. those that did said can't help until the following week. Finally reached Harmcor and the employee did not let me off the phone until we tried some things to get the hot water tank going. It was -33C outside and he correctly sleuthed the issue and we resolved the problem 10 minutes later. From my perspective they were the only company who cared enough to help our family out during an extremely difficult and busy time. They now have my life time loyalty and I will recommend them to anyone who has home plumbing or HVAC work to be done. Thank you and Happy New Year!!

Very notable miscommunication on quoted pricing unfortunately. I have no doubts that they believed they were telling me accurate pricing, but it did not translate correctly. $159 to drive 30 minutes and not have any of that credited to the actual work done is not the way I understood it, $320/hour is a little wild. I also explained in detail the parts that they would need, I was assured that they would come with the parts we need. Then they showed up without the parts needed, saying I should have explained to dispatch what I needed...sigh...

Finding good, reliable and honest contractors can be daunting sometime. Harmcor will always be my first call. I can't say enough about how amazing they r. Thank u guys for taking care and making it easy for me. These r the guys who, instead of just coming out when u call for low water pressure, will tell u all things to check and look at yourself to save you the expensive after hours call. Also the guys, and gals! who will stay all night to make sure your building has has running water. Thank you guys!

Although plumber was friendly. I will not recommend this company. I feel that they really do overcharge and prices are not consistent. We had an issue with our toilet just a few months ago and the plumber had charge us half of what the current plumber charged with a less issue. I had anticipated that we were just going to be charge for an hour but the time he went to get the replacement of an defected item was also taken. Not happy unfortunately.

Very professional and very prompt. Called early Wednesday morning with no hot water. Dispatcher said they would get someone out asap. They called back shortly and said were on their way. By noon were done and everything repaired. Technician ( Adam ) was great. Explained what he was doing and why. What impressed me most was how he made me feel like my business mattered. I had a pipe for the sink break. When I called Harmcor they picked up the phone right away. I told the what the problem was and they said they were sending someone right over, when the plumber got to my house he was very nice. He replaced the pipe and cleaned up all the old water and old parts. Very happy with the services, they will be the first person to call for any of my plumbing needs!

I called Discount Harmcor at 9AM on a Saturday to see if they could investigate a water leak. They showed up a half hour later and figured out the problem right away. Turns out it was a leak coming from a neighbor's place. They did some serious detective work and explained to us what was going on every step of the way. I'll definitely be calling them for any future plumbing needs!

We had an issue on the weekend with drainage at our coffee shop. Harmcor and Scott went above and beyond to solve the problem in an old building that we didn't have enough information about initially to fix. We needed access to another tenants space and had to find a cleanout that was hidden during there buildout. We will be calling them again when we need plumbing services.

Good timing, Great service, clean wrap up for clogged Kitchen sink. They called me in advance to verify if I would take an earlier appointment, Rob arrived on time, very good manners, thorough inspection of pipe to the main drain, brought blankets to keep things clean, and explained thoroughly what caused the problem and provided maintenance tips for the future.

They fixed tank-less Navien boiler for me and they charged me for parts replacement. Later I realized that the Navien was under warranty and they should not have charge me for parts. Although the accepted that should return it, but they did not! I called them couple of times and every time I was told they will return it. Still nothing. So be careful with them.

Action furnace told me I had a cracked heat exchanger in my furnace and were quite insistent on getting me quotes for a new furnace. Had these guys out and got a very thorough inspection only find that nothing is actually wrong with my furnace. Mackenzie and Scott say it like it is and aren’t going to sell you things you don’t need. Professional service.

Our hot water tank gave up the ghost, Robert came out and had the new one installed within the afternoon. Harmcor was very fast and easy to work with and Robert did a great job while being extremely professional and friendly. Found the issue and did the repairs in a timely fashion. 5/5 would use again. Having a tech and company that you can trust is important to us.

Excellent service. Worked on an unusual scenario with my floor drain and water that had backed up into 2 rooms from my washer. She tried every tool that would normally be used to break away the floor drain cover that was encased in cement and to clean the pipes. Great personality too. Determined worker.

It is ridiculous!!! We had a service for leaky bathroom, two person showed up. 90min and $700 after, we was told it was the toilet leaking to the downstairs. Only two weeks later, our downstairs bathroom has water all over the floor, the leak was never fixed.

Great company, they were prompt, professional and knew what they were doing. They also explained things really well so we understood what was going on. Beyond that, they were nice, and seemed to genuinely care about getting our furnace back up and running.
