Recently, I treated myself to the Signature Hammam Treatment and it was DIVINE. I had never heard of this treatment before seeing it pop up on their Instagram page a few weeks ago. I’m glad it sparked my curiosity and inspired me to try something new, because now I’m absolutely hooked!⁣ ⁣ The Hammam, or Turkish steam bath, consists of 4 steps: soak, steam, scrub, and soothe. You can check out the full process on their website, but in short form, you start with a luxurious foot soak before a 30-minute steam bath complete with essential oils of your choice (I chose cypress and jasmine: DIVINE). Then you’re treated to a full-body exfoliation in the private Hammam room followed by a 30-minute full-body warm lotion application. While this is meant to be a relaxation experience, for me it was just as therapeutic as a regular massage. ⁣ ⁣ Altogether, the entire treatment is 90 minutes, and I have never felt so relaxed and rejuvenated! The private Hammam room is beautiful and my practitioner Candance was very skilled and professional at all times. The spa also has all the appropriate COVID measures in place, so I felt entirely safe the entire time. It’s also worth noting that the Hammam is their signature treatment that they’ve practiced for over 16 years since they opened, before expanding into a full-service boutique spa offering waxing, nails, facials, registered massage therapy, and more. And while I’m looking forward to trying some of these additional services in this beautiful space, I know I’m going to keep coming back for the Signature Hammam. ⁣ ⁣ TL;DR: The Signature Hammam at Healing Waters Spa is basically Heaven On Earth. Try it and you will not be disappointed!

I have been to a different, amazing spa in Edmonton a few times but for some reason decided to try something new. My mistake. After researching different spas in Edmonton a few months in advance and various treaments available I decided to book myself and my best friend in for their Hammam for Two. I made the booking at least a month in advance as part of her birthday surprise. I even went so far to extend our trip to Edmonton by an extra day to make it happen as they are closed on Sundays. Imagine my surprise when they called literally 90 minutes before our treatment to cancel. I don't get it...if I had cancelled 90 minutes before our schedule treament I would have had to pay 75% of the service plus 15% gratuity. So what recourse does one have when the spa cancels on you? It was too late to book anywhere else PLUS I had already taken an extra day off of work and paid for an extra night in a hotel just to make this happen. Do they give you their credit card and refund you 75% plus 15% gratuity for the inconvenience? I get I'm from out of town so maybe they value my business less than someone local, but I am in Edmonton frequently for girls' weekends and will NEVER try here again! Very disappointed with their customer service!

June 2021 I have not been to Healing Waters for a while due to COVID restrictions. Yesterday I returned for a long awaited massage. I’m happy to report nothing has changed except for cautious and welcomed Covid safety protocols. Emily’s massage was on target and performed with her pleasant manner. It was good to see Justine at the front desk. Her welcoming smile and greeting reminded me how much I missed being here. No disappointments here… business as usual ✅ …………………………………………… Massage Therapist Emily (and owner) is a seasoned professional. Her knowledge of how the human body functions aids in her ability to zero in how to treat those unexplained pains. I started seeing her after a knee replacement. Her careful and consistent treatment succeeded in getting me back to activities that I had long given up. She knows what she is doing and she does it with a very pleasant manner. Justine at the front desk is just what a business like this needs. She has the pulse of the business and treats customers with genuine pleasure. It is her calling. Her smile is always welcoming. You will not be disappointed coming to this business.

My friend and I attended here for beginner facials and pedicures. The facials were lovely and I felt so rejuvenated however both of us agreed we would not return for our pedicures. I had remaining gel polish from a previous pedicure which was removed with a hand file and roughly. The lady filed on my toes causing them to bleed and scab afterwards - when I was cringing back in pain she would ask if it was getting hot from the filing. If you can’t properly remove gel polish please just say so rather than hurting someone with a hand file. They also charged extra for the removal. Once she had finally applied the polish and top coat, we left and were told to be careful because our nails were still wet. We were both very cautious, went for lunch, and went home. When I got home I noticed that my nails had giant globs of top coat near my cuticle area which chipped off the same day. Very disappointing for how much we paid for services. TL;DR would not return for a pedicure.

This place is amazing!!!! My friends and I hadn't had the chance to treat ourselves in a long time because of the rough covid year(s) so when we finally got a chance to treat ourselves to a hammam and facial. We knew this was our place. Healing waters spa had so many good reviews The, I knew we had to book it. The owner of this place, Emily, is absolutely amazing to chat with and was so supportive of finding the right times and services for us. They even found us someone who knew whyte Ave very well to help us find a great brunch spot after our phenomenal spa date. Candance was phenomenal, did an amazing facial/eyebrow map.for.me and had amazing information for face/beauty and tips. She was so fun to talk to, I felt like I had known her for years. The receptionist was absolutely lovely as well. We felt so lucky to have been given this experience and we/ I recommend anyone to check this place out!!!!

I can't recommend Healing Waters enough!! The spa itself is charming and has a lovely, warm, and clean atmosphere; it's such a little gem of a place. The staff are so welcoming, courteous, thoughtful, and professional. The owner is SUCH a gem of a not only a massage therapist but also a person. I've been to 10+ massage therapists around the city and wasn't really content with the results of the massages I was getting until I started seeing Emily. She has such deep knowledge and expertise in massage and how the body works and it translates to the absolute best therapeutic massages ever. My body always feels brand new afterwards and I always walk out in such a calm state because of Emily's calmness and warmness. Also worth a note is that the spa does an exceptional job of maintaining and extra clean and sanitized environment and very strictly adheres to covid protocols.

The Massage Was Great... Spent 4 hours there with my friend and we both got the same treatment. Really enjoyed the massage and the facial most of all. Only thing I would change is my friend said her girl kept on trying to upsell her on stuff ... so I think you shouldn't try to do that. makes the experience uncomfortable for her. As the 4 hour experience is already $230.00 tacking on more money should be our option if we ask. So other than that the services were exceptional. I left feeling refreshed with no aches in my shoulders... Everything completely gone. Only thing I felt out of my service is on pedicures i like the "Razor thing" used on bottom of feet to get the yellow stuff off ... lol she only used the sand paper thing to get it off and i prefer the razor gets more of faster and its softer :) so thats the only part of the service I wish I could of changed.

I went for a massage with Erika and requested a deep tissue massage, with focus on my upper and lower back. Unfortunately I did not receive a deep massage and was disappointed as I wanted the knots worked on. I also enjoy quite relaxing time, listening to the music when I get a massage, however I could hear people talking, not sure if it was the staff or other people waiting for their services. I booked a 45 minute massage for 11:00, which I do not believe was 45 minutes, as they were late getting me in, I changed before/after the massage, etc., paid for my services and was out the door by 11:55. I have to say I will not be returning to Healing Waters as I did not enjoy the service that was provided.

My first time at this spa was spectacular! I booked a 30min aromatherapy steam (which is in a private room), followed by a 75min renewing pedicure. The staff were friendly, welcoming and it was obvious the cleaning protocols were top notch. I’d highly recommend the private steam room with eucalyptus. It was just what I need for my asthma, as every fall I am plagued by congested lungs in the morning. The pedicure was also amazing. They follow all the latest best practices for safe and hygienic esthetician services. No harsh heel shaving here! The treatment was gentle and relaxing. This spa takes COVID-19 protocols very seriously and I felt very safe the entire visit. I’ll definitely be back.

I treated myself to the Ultimate Healing at the Waters package for my birthday: four hours for the Hammam experience (foot soak, steam room & full body exfoliation), a massage, and a facial. The staff were welcoming, and they did a great job of putting me at ease and explaining every step of the process. Candance (I hope I spelled that right) did most of my treatments. She is amazing! I felt a bit self-conscious at times, and she made sure I was comfortable with everything. I wish I could remember who did my massage because it really helped ease the pain in my lower back and shoulders. I highly recommend this spa, and I will be returning the next time I need some me time.

I had my first visit to Healing Waters Spa Edmonton this week. I chose the Purity Facial with Candance L. She was very clear about what I should expect from the facial, and explained the importance (and pain) of extractions, which I always appreciate in a facial. The building had a calm, soothing atmosphere, and all the staff that greeted me were kind and pleasant. Candance went through all the products we used but at no time did I feel pressured to purchase anything. I was very pleased with the results from the Purity Facial and already have my next visit booked in. The location is very accessible on foot and by transit. Would highly recommend!

I highly recommend Healing Waters Spa!!! I just had my first manicure in years at this lovely place. My sister had a pedicure at the same time. Candance did a superb job on my nails; my best manicure ever! The hand massage and paraffin treatment left my hands looking and feeling younger and the manicure looked brand new at a function I was attending days later! Valencia did my sister's pedicure which was also excellent. Our service was done in a lovely large room with natural light; very relaxing. I was impressed with how very clean everything is and the staff is very conscientious about covid safety measures. I plan to visit again soon!!!

Had an absolutely fantastic time at Healing Waters Spa this morning! I was fortunate enough to treat two of my instructors to some pedicures, while I myself got a facial. The thing I love most about this space is that it's cozy and calm feeling - unlike many spas where they jam a bunch of ladies into one large room together. My facial was extremely relaxing, and my skin is glowing and feels great! My instructors couldn't say enough good things about the spa once they left. It would be a GREAT treat to go here with some of your closest friends, or bridal party, or treat your employees. Thank-you for the wonderful morning Healing Waters Spa!

I love this place, the Turkish bath style shower and steam room is absolutely amazing - I’ve never been to a spa that offers this experience. My skin felt amazing after the glow scrub. I got the collagen facial as well - hadn’t had a facial in awhile - my skin is literally transformed. My esthetician Candance does an amazing massage, clearly well trained and knowledgeable and very professional. The receptionist was lovely and very personable. I was worried about parking with the location being on whyte ave but there is lots of street parking really close by was not a problem at all. Will definitely be back for more, thank you

Very disappointed. My friend wanted to surprise me for my bday today with some treatments at this spa as it was the place I picked and they wouldn’t even let him go inside to book nor answered any of our calls and e-mails. That really ruined the beginning of my bday to be honest. Why have such a place if we can’t book? Your online options don’t even cover all the services he wanted to add together and when he went there to inquire, book and cover for the services, they wouldn’t even open the door. Left it locked and we didn’t even hear anything back. Thanks for ruining my bday. Never had such an experience with a spa like this.

If you are looking for a truly luxury spa service in Edmonton, book at Healing Waters and ask for Audrey. The spa has a private steam room, steam shower, and everything is so clean and pretty. You can get a 30 minute private steam, a scrub that feels like a massage, then you have a shower and a beautiful facial (best facial I’ve ever had) while you get Lotion applied in a light massage style experience. You then break for lunch that comes right to you, and finish with a manicure and pedicure. What more could you ask for. A perfect remedy for tired mamas everywhere! I can’t wait to go back and see Audrey again!

I've been seeing Emily for regular massages for years now. I'm halfheartedly writing this review because, to be honest, I'd rather keep her all to myself, and I don't want the secret to get out about how good she is. She's THAT good. But because she deserves to be raved about, I will say that she is the sweetest person you'll ever meet and simply amazing at what she does. Her technique is hands down the best I've ever had and I leave feeling like a million bucks every time! She is warm and personable, while being very conscientious and professional. I can't say enough great things about her! She's be BEST!

This place is amazing! I have had pedicures, manicures, and Brazilian waxes done by Candance, and massages by Emily (regular and prenatal), and have loved all services. Candance is the only one that can put me to sleep during a pedicure massage (so relaxing!) and her efficiency and effectiveness in waxing makes the experience almost painless. Emily really listens to what I need during massages and is an expert on the human body. Justine at the front desk will make you feel welcome and relaxed as soon as you walk in. Go get pampered by these ladies. You won't regret it!

I received a gift card to Healing Waters Spa. Before then I had never heard of them. I came to my appointment in a pretty low and stressed state and immediately felt calm and welcomed by the staff. I had a facial and it was incredible. I left feeling blissful, relaxed and rejuvenated. Everyone there was so kind and warm. I felt so comfortable and safe. I will absolutely be returning as a regular customer and can’t wait to try out other services that they offer. I highly recommend Healing Waters Spa to anyone! They are incredibly helpful, caring and worth every penny!

I was referred to Emily, healing waters by my amazing daughter Dr Jillian Wong from Opt. I was looking forward to day since the day I booked the appointment, I was not disappointed, totally enjoyed the experience. Emily was amazing, we connected right away & I never met Emily before. We talked about our experience & found we had lots in common. The massage was amazing, relaxing, I felt I would have asleep if were not talking our common. She went above and beyond, the 1 hr massage went over 1 3/4 hr, since we got talking & Emily lost track of the time.

I use to love going to this spa, until last June when I got burnt by the steam in the sauna room. I use to get massages and hammams. My last hammam the door of the sauna would not close properly, and I tried pulling it close and my leg touched the pipe where the steam comes from, which burnt my leg. The way they talked to me after I got burnt, was as if this happens often and that I should of seen the warning sign for the steam which had fell to floor anyway. I now have a huge scar on my leg and haven't been back since.

I sent my 3 adult daughters for a graduation celebration to Healing Waters for the Hammam treatment. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate getting the girls in at the same time by arranging for extra staff to come in! The girls have not stopped raving about how incredible the entire experience was.. from the treatments to the ambience to the products used! Amazing. Thank you Healing Waters Management and staff. Your spa is so lovely and the staff exceptional and very good at what they do! 10/10 recommend.

I just had an alpha vital facial with Candance, and it was phenomenal. Compared to facials and peels at other spa's, this treatment blew them all out of the water. All the products smelled amazing, the massage was *everything*, and Candance was so kind and clearly an expert in her craft (all the staff are genuine and kind). I found out my skin type was different than what I thought it was and Candance even recommended some great products afterwards. My visit was worth every penny. I can't wait to go back!

My day at Healing Waters Spa was so special. This was my first spa experience! I was greeted by Jamie and she made me feel right at home. So friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of experience! I had a light lunch in a sunny little room before my mani and pedi done with expertise by Audrey. She really did a miracle on my nails!! They were both great and I was very satisfied with the results. I definitely hope to return some day!! Thank you Jamie and Audrey for making my day fun and so special.

This is a lovely neighbourhood spa! It is a beautiful oasis on Whyte ave and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I visit every 2 months or so for their massages, but my favourite services are the steam treatments. They have a lovely Turkish style hammam room and a steam sauna. The essential oils that they add to the steam sauna make it even more so luxurious! Whenever I need a pick me up I go for a 30 minute steam + shower which is only 30$ with the bring-your-own towel discount!

I was gifted with a spa day and was very impressed with the experience! The booking process was very easy - I appreciated that they could accommodate multiple treatments and made it for very smooth transitions throughout the day. I had a full body massage with Erica, who was great. And Audrey was wonderful - her energy and knowledge made the other treatments so enjoyable. I had an all day spa package. Hamamm package. The lady who gave me my massage kept commenting on my size "you are small, how much do you weigh.. You are not as small as me" she commented with a rude tone. It really affected my ability to relax. They also commented on my choice of lunch and I was not able to get what I wanted and ended up not being able to eat the food that came (provided in the package) In addition they overcharged me. Overall it was not a good experience

First time here-booked the Wellness Retreat Spa package-it was amazing. Very relaxing and was the only spa package I could find in Edmonton that was unique and didn't only have a choice of massage or pedicure/manicure. What made the experience next level though was my practitioner Valencia, who had an amazing energy about her, was professional, kind, and paid great attention to detail and client comfort-would highly recommend her!

My mom and I did the double hammam and it was amazing. One of the best spa experiences I have ever had. The staff was incredibly attentive and soothing. Right from the foot soak, the amazing steam to the marble benches, sugar scrub and finally the moisturising at the end. I was so so impressed with this. In addition to a very pleasant and relaxing facial and pedicure, I received valuable recommendations on skin and foot care. The facial incorporated some of the changes and I can already see changes. This is a big selling point! Also, I appreciated the educational aspect of the recommendations since I do like to understand the underlying science. All in all, this was an experience that I will very much look forward to repeating.

I came with some friends to have a pedicure in early August. It was lots of fun and our feet were soft and neatly polished after the treatment. I returned for a massage a few days later and was also very pleased. Emily is a fabulous therapist who listened to my concerns and incorporated my input into the experience. I really appreciated the direct billing and the parking in the back as well. I will definitely return!

The hubs and I booked the double hammam treatment here (it saves money if you book for two!). We were both very happy with the service and the staff assigned to us. Although my other hammam treatments in the past always provide a moisturizing segment, Healing Waters Spa took us into private rooms to apply the moisture with a full body massage. It was heavenly. We hope to repeat a visit the next time we are in town.

Wow, I had the hammam treatment. I enjoyed every aspect of my treatment. It began with a foot soak, followed by a 30 minutes in the steam room. Immediately after an exfoliating with an essential oil and sugar mixture, shower, and ended with an essential oil body massage. My treatment was done by the incredible Valencia. She was professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. I will definitely return.

My fiancé and I treated ourselves to a double hamam and 60 minute massage for Valentine's Day, and we were at a loss for words by the end of our experience. Melissa took great care of me, and gave me the most relaxing scrub of my life! The massage was just as relaxing, and I felt like jello by the end of it. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and we will definitely be back for another spa day soon.

the spa is clean, calming and the staff is very friendly! the steam room is such a great service to offer on its own - so relaxing. i also saw valencia for a hydration facial — she was so incredibly lovely as a person and in her work. she was very attentive to my skin concerns, thorough in her work, and never tried to push/oversell services/products. i’ll definitely be back to see her!

I decided to try Healing Waters for the first time for a massage yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised by just how friendly all the staff were. I have been getting massages for years to help with migraines and upper back pain but Willows massage I can say hands down, is the best massage I've ever gotten. Like holy heck. Definitely have been converted into a repeat customer.

Emily has been my massage therapist for years and she does excellent work. Whether it's working through a new or chronic issue, or just taking some time to rest and relax, I can always count on her for a great massage that leaves my body and mind feeling better afterwards. All the staff and friendly and there's a great atmosphere in the building.

Since coovid-19 started i have had a struggle finding a steam room and let me tell you i am very picky about my steam rooms lol but what i can say is that this steam room was amazing and if your looking to get a good steam session in this is the place.

Such a relaxing spa. I got a facial and it was so lovely! The staff is friendly and knowledgable (they dont push you to buy products, they give you samples to try but dont pressure you to buy). They offer monthly deals and the online booking process is super eays for a busy gal like myself! I cant wait to go back :)

I love everything about this spa! If you need a relaxing, self pampering day definitely give this place a try! The people who work there are very down to earth and the atmosphere is very calming. And there’s free parking which is so convenient and makes it stress free for trying to find a spot to park on Whyte Ave!

Booked a classic pedicure for $70. The service was lovely, and the facility clean. They did a great job freshening up my feet for spring. Proper callous removal (no razors or graters here). Book one of the higher tier pedicures if you want a foot mask and massage. I look forward to returning on a regular basis.

Really beautiful spa, feels like you’ve gone back to Ancient Greece or something! Massage therapist was awesome. Only thing I would change would be matching soap/shampoo/conditioner bottles. I know it’s picky, but it took away from the experience a bit.. reminded you that you weren’t actually in Ancient Greece!

Always love coming for a 60 min massage with Emily. She is very attentive to your needs and even prescribes stretches for your after self care needs. I would definitely recommend her! I was gifted a Squeeze The Day experience package and had a very relaxing and enjoyable visit. The steam room was clean and comfortable, and Willow gave me a great full body massage, focusing on upper body at my request but making sure to get my legs in as well. Would definitely recommend!

I get my wife a spa gift package every year, best thing ever, she comes home totally refreshed and rejuvenated. It's the least you can do for your wife/partner/self or both. Go for the Hamann!!!! You wont regret it. Great packages and individual treatments to calm the mind, body and soul.

The staff/service providers and environment are always professional and offer both calming and reassuring energy. I always feel so spoiled after a visit to Healing Waters. The free client parking around back is also a nice amenity since the spa is located on the often busy Whyte Avenue.

Absolutely wonderful vegan rice and noodle plus vegan/tofu protein dishes that are indistinguishable from "real" meat. Soups are extremely worth it. Very nice surroundings and great service! Check out the buffet if you think you can handle it!

Their private steam room is SO relaxing, and you don’t have the stress of 15 other people fighting for space. They have high quality products that aren’t full of garbage. The ladies working there are always very informative and pleasant.

Receptionist was polite. Massage was okay. The treatment room was cramped. Therapist seemed eager but inexperienced. Would suggest the therapist could work slowly, instead of frantically, when someone indicates they wish to be relaxed.

I have never had such a professional but personal and relaxing spa experience before. I have bought several of my friends gift cards to Healing Waters because I want them all to experience all that this spa has to offer too!

I found Heaven. It is on Whyte avenue in with a sign that says “Healing Waters Spa”. Valencia is a dream. The treatments were fantastic and the prices are totally reasonable. Highly recommend.
