I've been coming to this location for a while now and actually really enjoyed the service and the people who worked here, as they were genuinely friendly and accommodating, especially to repeat customers like me. But as of the past 6 to 9 months, it's exceedingly hard to recommend this location not because the staff or service is any worse; it's that the service is frequently NONEXISTENT as this facility is simply NOT open and serving food at the hours it advertises itself as doing, both in the building's signage and the information on their website. This is a problem I have noticed at multiple Jack in the Box locations in my city, which is inherently a very bad sign because Jack in the Box simply does not have THAT MANY locations in my city to begin with. That number certainly isn't going to increase if this is the standard of service people grow to associate with this franchise. I went to their Cotswold location after working my night-shift, which I done on a regular basis in the past due to the location being open 24 hours a day, as advertised. However, they have recently started suffering the same problem that I am describing here (you can see my review on that location's page for more information, which will hopefully help prevent you from wasting your time like I did). Frustrated but still hungry and wanting to get Jack in the Box, I assumed that I had just had consistently poor luck with this franchise and its locations in my city, and assumed that their Cotswold location was, yet again, probably having a "bad day", and I resolved to drive to THIS location as an alternative and not take things too personally. This location is advertised as being open 24 hours a day, at least for the drive-thru, on all the signage on the building. However, online, they are apparently advertised as opening at 6 AM and closing at 3AM. Apparently none of these listed times are accurate, as I arrived here at 7 AM, waited like 10 minutes in the Drive-Thru for somebody to actually answer me. After taking the time to write this review it is now a little bit past 8 AM, and I'm going to try my luck again. I'm not holding my breath though, at this point at least. If you advertise your location as being open 24 hours a day, it needs to be open 24 hours a day barring an emergency or change of circumstance. If you advertise your location as only being open between certain hours, your location needs to be open and serving food during those specified hours. I even tried calling their listed 24-hour "Help/Let us know how we're doing/Make Complaints Here"-phone number that they had listed in the signage on the side of their building. Nobody even picked up there. How apropos. Jack in the Box HQ; get your locations here in charlotte, North Carolina in gear, along with their staff, and please STOP wasting your customer base's time, energy & gasoline. Not following through on that basic expectation is how you lose a customer-base. And this location illustrates that more concretely than others; there is a McDonald's operating literally right next door to this Jack in the Box location, and I've been watching them properly serve the customers that arrive there the entire time I've been sitting here and waiting. People have other options when it comes to filling this need, and they WILL take their money elsewhere if you give them enough reasons. If this trend with Jack in the Box locations in Charlotte is not remedied relatively promptly, I will start doing the same as well.

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! I paid $41.38 for lack luster food, long wait in a short drive thru line and a manager who took it upon herself to just switch up (didn't ask me) my order because, she forgot that they were out of what I wanted. Did she tell me this when i picked up the order.....? No it wasn't until I called and let her know about it along with the fries that were missing as well. Her additude was oh well nothing she could do unless I drove back to exchange what she decided to put in my order and get the missing fries. This was an order put in aprox. 11:40pm and well after 12:30am. After being in the ER for well over 5 hours and needing to get something for my husband and family who waited up for us to eat the last thing I needed was a disrespectful manager who on the other side of the phone feeling froggy. For a franchise that has been around for what seems to be forever, you could do way better with the food, customer service and who you give the title Manager to. **And to respond back to the "Owner" who contacted me 2 hours ago (2/15/2023). If you paid attention to the complaint/concerned feedback you just sent me to then YOU would have seen that, that was the FIRST place I went to that same morning around 1am to start my complaint after I got off the phone with your establishment. So this just shows the lack of concern.

I told them at the box. They grilled me about it at the window, and finally gave me cold food that you would never mistake for freshly made, omitted the egg roll, included no sauce for jalapeño poppers, and almost gave me the wrong drink, but I noticed, and fault was admitted. I just took it home and threw the fries in the oven, because I'm generally pretty easy to please, but this is a pretty insulting way to apologize for past experiences, and that's a pretty messed up way to apologize. RJ, give a number or password and leave a list so they can cross it out once used and stop hassling people, or try gift cards or something. Jayyyyzus. Original: They wouldn't sell me food. I was told that they were only doing door dash and online orders, with no explanation as to why they could only make food for people who weren't there. This has happened at least twice now, and I think it's fair to post this so that hungry people can adjust their expectations, and know that they might have to keep looking for food. It's been good enough in the past. I think if it a register issue or something, that should be related to the guest.

This place is ridiculous. I try to come here everyday now just to see what wonderful reasons they have as to not take my order. You come at any time of the day they are either unable to take orders or to come back in 10 min. Just to tell you they can't take orders or they tell you they are closed at around 2p, 4p, 7p. It doesn't matter what time of the day it is it seems they are only at work to get paid and not actually feed the people. We all understand short staff but why bother even having staff just to come on the drive thru speaker to say we are closed. Someone really needs to look into this location because when they are actually staffed the other day it took over 45min to take 1 person to order and make u wait still for another who knows how long. Very sad that this place doesn't seem to care about feeding their customers.

The Jack Burger and Jr Jack Burger is to die for and even better with bacon on it. What's not better with bacon? The patties are on the thicker side and oh so juicy. Mmmmm Mmmmm. Burgers are cooked to order so if heading thru the drive-thru plan on waiting a bit (5 minutes) especially if there are cars in front of you (10 minutes).The staff is always friendly too.

We drove 20 hours from NYC to come here for the amazing tacos, we got there at 11:30pm and the guy at the drive thru said they have no employees to work and might be open or not. I told him we drove 20 hours and asked if he thought it might be 10 minutes or hours till help showed up. He said he didn't know, I said ok, please let me know, can we sleep in the parking lot? He rudely said "it's a free country, do what you want". It's a shame they can't find enough workers to be open when they say they are open. If I knew someone drove 20 hours for their awesome food I would be a bit nicer, he didn't have to be disrespectful. He knows they can't fire him cause he's the only worker showing up. I woke up and got my tacos in the morning. Amazing

Rude is a under statement. I visited this restaurant the morning of 05/23/2023. The cashier yelled at me for trying to get her attention thru the speaker. I then get to the window and she tells me " I heard u when u pulled up you don't have to say hello. I simply advised her that I wanted to make sure they were open since no one said anything. She continued to yell and I said forget my order and she closed the window. I then ask for a manager and she closed the window and wouldn't give her name. I asked for the manager and at first she wouldnt come to the window. She came to the window and wouldnt give me her name or store number. I will never visit this location again and I think corporate should shut it down....

I work early mornings so it is wonderful that this location is open 24 hours A-day for drive-through. However recently within the last couple of weeks 3 times I've tried to stop for breakfast on my way into work and have been told that "the system is down". I can understand once or maybe even twice that being the actual case however 3 times it seems like it is intentional especially given that the 3 times the same person was working. I find this completely unacceptable and will be filing a complaint on this location to their corporate office. If you're going to be open 24 hours and I understand staffing is hard right now, then you need to actually be open 24 hours

This was the worst experience ever. My niece and I were staying in Charlotte for a few days while my daughter was away n vacation. We both had not had Jack in the Box for years and we were in the mood. Last Thursday we decided to go get an evening snack and went to the window to order. It was 8:50 pm and there was no one there. Though it said they closed at 11:00 pm. The next day we went back earlier only to find out that they had NO TACOS & NO SHAKES! The server was rude and not helpful. We ordered a couple other things and waited in line…and waited & waited!! We left next door to McD’s. Horrible!! Just horrible!! Shame on you Jack in the Box Management!!!

As much as I'd like to review the food I've had there recently. The last 9 times I've attempted I have been unable to get anything. It's always the same lady giving me some excuse with a rude tone. "We're only taking door dash orders" "We're not serving food right now" "We're only accepting cash right now" "We're not taking orders currently" When your restaurant can't even take an order much less serve the food right why should I go out of my way to even try and eat there. I used to go to this exact location for years, but not anymore. Whoever is running the establishment currently should be ashamed and embarrassed.

If I could give this less of a rating I would. Stopped here on our way back to Ontario Canada, saw the sign on the door that said dining room closed due to staffing shortages, (can understand that) however, we could see the employee sitting in the dining room eating. There were two cars a head of us at the speaker, and no one ever took an order. Drove away, saw another car pull up, went in behind them to see of their order was taken and nope. What a poor mismanaged company. Very, very evident from all of the horrible reviews. Thought we would try it anyway as it was the last one on our way home.

Soooo i ordered the breakfast combo meal last night, they forgot my pancakes and i called back speaking to M the manager, super cool and said i could come back and get my whole meal for free. keep in mind i live 20 minutes away so when i come back to get it, another lady manager who was working drive thru ask for my receipt then doesn’t even look at it.. she says she can only give me my pancakes since that was the only thing missing… like damn greedy af. i tell her then what else she can do for me and she said nothing.. like nothing for my inconvenience??? when does M work next im coming on their schedule, greedy ho eating my food in the back

Not good, jack in the box has always been one of my go to's. I have been to both in Rock Hill several times. Burgers have been average, fries always room temp . Two tacos (one of my fav's) Coke is always good. Service is not something ever expected here. They did not disappoint with service. Non existent. I keep going back HOPING they were having a bad day last time. Sad, butt not finding that to be the case. A couple in Charlotte are historically good. Will plan our trips to Charlotte and include lunch .

1 star because I have to. Waited 35 mins in line to be told they're not taking orders. Don't bother replying to this, while in line I saw all the 1 star reviews and already contacted the link u guys have dropped with a "were so disappointed" bs. Not only did I wait that long in line TO ORDER but this was because we Door Dashed and you missed half the order. It's not the delivery driver as this has happened with multiple delivery apps. Will not order again. TL:DR, if it's passed 10pm, go somewhere else. Most of the reviews were late night complaints. I don't know about day time.

Where to start... I pulled up to the drive-through at ~7:20. Waited 2 minutes with no reply, so I went to go in. The employees seemed to be having a good time inside, but the doors were locked. When someone finally stopped eating and came to the door, they told me to go through the drive-through as they were "just now opening"... at 7:30. An hour and a half late. Another person voiced that this should not just be opening and was called a female dog in fewer letters. And then I waited 15 minutes for them to make food they didn't have prepped.

Unfortunately with fast food places , you’re not always going to get the best customer service, but what are you supposed to do when the lazy people jack n the box hires, refuse to take your order because “they’re not taking orders right now” even though it’s only 8:20 pm on a Tuesday 12/14/21 to be exact. Didn’t give us a reason when we asked just kept repeating they aren’t taking orders and when we asked for her name she stayed silent of course. Terrible management. Do everyone a favor and let go of the same people who aren’t making the store any money while on the clock

I came to the Pineville Matthews location last night and it was only one employee working and to my surprise he took my order. Some night it hit or miss at this Location and they tell me doordash only and it 3 to 4 people working. I really do appreciate his young man’s work ethic. And I would be happy to have him take my order any day of the week with his upbeat attitude and that friendly smile even though the line was around the building. This encounter gives me hope for the location.

We did not receive about half of our order. We received one of two cheeseburgers, 2 of 16 tacos (so 1 of the 8 (2) for $.99 we ordered), and not a single sauce for the egg rolls, tacos, or stuffed jalapeños. While we received the jalapeños, they were black, burnt, and inedible so I now have to feed 5 people with one cheeseburger, 3 egg rolls, and 2 tacos. When we called, we were told to drive there and pick up the rest after ordering delivery. Someone should work on finding people who care about even doing a little bit of quality work.

AWFUL. Spent $30 on food. Both sodas were flat, fries underdone, onion rings over done, mozzarella sticks with no cheese and a chicken sandwich that was supposed to come with crispy chicken, lettuce, tomato, bacon and cheese - instead got a soggy sandwich with just lettuce and sauce. We’ve tried to give this spot a chance MULTIPLE times as we live right around the corner. We made a pact tonight to never go again. Wish I could get a complete refund.

Not every biz is perfect, but I will say this location will go above and beyond. Uber eats driver failed to wait and deliver my order. Well I called the store and District Manager answered and pulled my ordered told me the driver left without my order. So the DM told me to contact the driver. That was a failure...so I called the store again and this time the DM insisted on delivering my order ($55). And I did get everything I ordered. Thank you JNB!

Don’t waste your time. Went at 7:12 PM on a Monday. Dining room was locked with several employees lounging in the eating area. Entered the drive thru and was told they wouldn’t be taking any orders. After informing them I have already submitted and paid for an order via the app, I was told to pull around and got my food a few minutes later. Sounds like there was nothing wrong and the employees simply didn’t want to do their jobs. Don’t know how this place pays rent.

I ordered food online and when I get to the drive thru they say 3rd shift is currently not in and they're waiting for them to show up. My thought is ok why aren't you working until they arrive? Where is the third shift supervisor? You guys are supposed to be 24 hrs right? I've been seating in the parking lot for over 30 mins and I am constantly seeing cars pull up to the drive thru and being turned away. That's not good for business Jack in the Box. Definitely not good. I am very disappointed and I definitely want a refund on my online order.

They're 24 hours right? What's the point when everytime I come here, their "systems are down" until usually the next hour. If it's 1:15am, they're down until 2am. If it's 2am, they're down until 3am. 12:25am, they're down until 1am. ect....Yet each time, I see the workers outside, standing around, talking to their friends in other cars in the parking lot. They're not down. THEIR JUST LAZY AND WANT TO GET PAID FOR HANGING OUT AND DOING NOTHING. This is the THIRD TIME. Smh. Close at a certain time if you're never gonna be available after 12am.

Awful. Slow and even after all that time got literally every part of my order wrong. Noticed once I drove away and didn't have 20 min for them to make it right and didn't trust they would anyway. Also think the staff just arbitrarily close the dining room because they don't feel like dealing. I thought it couldn't be worse than the McDonald's next door... But it may actually be worse. The worst jack in the box I’ve ever been to from CA to NC. Absolute terrible service every time I go. And it’s a shame because I love Jack and this location is behind my home. I’ve given this Jack 5 different tries because I don’t want to drive 15 minutes to the next closest one, and every experience reminds me why I wanted to stop coming. You’re better off going to McDonalds next door.

This used to be a really great location, but the last three times have not been good experiences. My orders have all been wrong, poor customer service, and very slow. Tonight was the topper though. Not only was my order wrong (burger had absolutely everything on it when I asked for it to be plain), but the lady at the drive through was rude. If you want a good experience, go during lunch hours. The staff seems to run the place much better then.

Extremely disappointed. Tried to order breakfast and was told “we aint doing breakfast right now.” Out of tiny tacos and out of apple juice. I can understand that, but the whole breakfast menu?!? Will never try jack in the box again especially this location. Orderd a Jack's spicy chicken combo no tomatoe and I got a dry sandwich. Was frustrated waiting on a remake of the sandwich they saturated the sandwich with mayo and by time I return to my car fries was cold. Went around 1-1:30 AM, as I ordered they enteted the wrong item on the screen, so I told the attendant and he corrected it. But, I think they either didnt have enough fries or didnt want to make them so instead i was given the "bottom of the bag" fries burnt and stale in a box and two tacos I didnt order, the sandwiches were so dry. What was odd is that they asked me to park in a parking spot then called me back to get my food about twelve to fifteen minutes later.

After making me wait for over 15 minutes while four employees stood around and did nothing, I was then charged 25 cents a piece for sauces with my food. No sodas or ice in the dining room machine, no Coca-Cola in the building. Restaurant smelled musty, employees looked unimpressed with being at work, could not find a clean uniform in the store. The store was open, lights on, people in front of me at the drive through. Nobody was taking orders. Each car would pull up, wait to be greated, and when that didn't happen they would drive away. This was a very bad experience, but luckily other places to eat are right negreater, I would skip this location for some time until their operations improve. I am hopeful this was a short term issue.

I pulled up to this location it shows 24 hours drive through i was told by the employee that they aren’t accepting orders because they are short staff and is restocking. Why isn’t a sign showing this at the drive windows. I saw a wet floor sign holding the door open at 3:50 am while both the employees were sitting in the car on their phones for 30 minutes at lest

Employees weren't doing anything except for the one girl taking orders and then making the food while the guy in the back just watched her then the manager showed up and some started moving. I always have to worry at these locations if I’m going to be able to eat. Ridiculous! Go home! If you aren’t there to work! It’s 7 pm! People want to eat, not wait for you to get back from a break!

Pulled up to the drive-thru at 9:36pm and was greeted with "Welcome to JIB, we're closed." This despite the website saying they closed at 10. I went next door to McDs, who is always happy to take a customer's money. While waiting at their drive-thru and on my way out the exit, I saw two cars get the same treatment. Pro tip: If you don't want to serve customer's, turn the lights off!

First time at this location and service was great not to mention that our food was fresh hot and delicious. Although they were out of tea out at the drink service station staff was very quick to let me know that they had another station for the drive thru costumer's that they would gladly fill my cup.

When this restaurant is open, it is usually solid. Because of free covid money, and an incentive from the government not to work, and ask for free money, has made these "24 hour" places falsely post hours. Had to cancel and order, even tho they were open, but didn't want to work. Better that then get spit in your burger. Hire losers, lose customers.

I’ve been to the Jack in the Box numerous times at night, as I have to eat frequently as a diabetic, and they never seem to be open. This place does not act like they are 24 hours and every time I continue to get more and more disappointed by how they only take DoorDash orders, or just completely close the restaurant. DONT COME HERE

No one answered the drive thru after 10 minutes. I came inside and 3 employees walked by while I waited at the counter and never greeted me or even acknowledged me. After 10 minutes of being ignored I walked over to McDonald's. I recommend no one ever visit this location. Absolutely horrible.

this place is garbage!!!! the lobby is locked all the time! I tried to go in today and nope!! met a guy in the parking lot that say this has been going on for a year now. He was calling the corporate office about it today. Never will return to this or any jerk in the box!!!! I ate many a meal here before covid and it was awesome.

I truly don’t think I have ever had a successful time at this location. It’s either their systems are down or their drink machine doesn’t work. It always consists of the SLOWEST lines imaginable. I deliver for DoorDash and these are never orders for me but they negatively impact my rating. It really is a disappointment.

The food was nothing special. I was on a trip to pick up a car and I wanted to try out Jack in the Box. It was a "meh" to me. The best way I can describe it is "Wendy's but not as good". I was surprised for the mini tacos, even though they were very bad. The customer experience was very nice in my opinion.

Went 2 nights in a row, Friday 10/14 and Saturday 10/5 at around 12 and was informed they’re only selling drinks, but no milk shakes. If you’re open 24 hours then you should probably write somewhere it’s only for soft drinks.
