One of the best Indian grocery shop in Essen. You can get all kinds of Indian masala's , Maggi , rice, atta, dal, poppy seeds, aachar , papad, haldiram's namkeen etc. The location is also good. Just a 7-10 minutes walk from Essen Hbf. You can take bus 146,145,155, 166 from the Essen Hbf and get down at Holle str. This store is just opposite to the road (Steeler Str. 77-83, 45127 Essen, Germany). You can take the tram/ Strassebahn 109, 103 from Rathhaus Essen and get down at Holle str. The behaviour of the owner is so good. He always tried to help the customer to find out the items if you struggle to find out the product on your own. Others staffs also always help the customer. Fresh Samosa also available in the afternoon. Some Indian vegetables also available here. All the staffs are really friendly. You can get puja items as well. Overall a good shop for all Indians.

I just had a wonderful shopping experience at the Kevin Bahar Store. If you like cooking Indian food, this is the store for you! I found a big assortment of dried Lentils, Dal and spices. They have many unusual (for me), fresh vegetables you can't usually find in German grocery stores like Bitter Melon, Okra, fresh and dried Turmeric roots, miniature eggplants, as well as frozen foods, canned foods, snacks and more. The customer service was great! The staff was patient, friendly and helpful. The owner was very generous. Mr. Bahar gave us many free samples to take home and try, and tips on how to prepare them. He also made sure we had the freshest products possible, even exchanging an item at the checkout counter for a fresher one. I will definitely be shopping here regularly.

Very good place to buy Indian groceries. Last 2 days ago we went there to buy some vegetables, Masala and other staffs. The collection is good no doubt. I am satisfied not only the items what I wanted to buy, but also the friendly behaviour. We bought 2 packets of sweets and the guy, in the cash counter was so friendly and hospitable to us. He served Jalebi what made me surprised. Because I have ever found an Indian shop like them. Highly recommend to all. I think they should be a little bit careful about cleanliness and maintenance.otherwise a very nice, friendly grocery shop what you can say a little India in Essen.

Kleiner Laden, aber ein riesen Sortiment! Der Laden bietet Sachen an, von denen ihr gar nicht wusstet, dass ihr sie braucht :D Sorten von Instantnudeln oder gar Getränke die ihr zuvor noch nie gehört habt und sooo vieles mehr! Ich und meine Familie sind schon jahrelanger Kunde und alles was eine asiatische Küche braucht (auch Frischware), findet man hier zum fairen Preis! Und die täglichen selbstgemachenten Samosas sind köstlich.

Ich war vor kurzem in Indien und muss sagen, dieser Laden hat das Meiste von dem im Sortiment, was man an den typischen indischen Verkaufsständen in Indien bekommt. Ich fühlte mich wieder etwas näher an Indien durch die Produkte Ich werde hier gern wieder einkaufen gehen und empfehle diesen Shop gern weiter. Manche der „frischen Produkte“ ließen die „Köpfe“ hängen, aber von Indien bis hierher, ist auch ein weiter Weg.

I love this store although I live in Witten, But travel all the way to Essen to get my groceries there. There are many Shops in NRW but this has true Indian touch. Apart from normal products Love eating Samosas, jalabi, and other fresh Prepared food. They have lot of actual varieties for Asian Cuisine. Only one thing they need a bit to renovate and arrange their shop. 5 stars for Assortment. BR. Adarsh.

Der Shop ist zwar klein, aber man bekommt dort vieles zum guten Preis, auch Frischware/ Gemüse gibt es vor Ort, zwar nicht so vielfältig, aber bei der kleinen Fläche doch gut ausgewählt und frisch. Ebenfalls Gebäck und frische Samosas gibt zu kaufen. Gehe gerne dahin, wenn es um indische/asiatische Lebensmittel geht und auch generell wegen der Gewürze!

Sehr freundliches, und hilfbereite Menschen. Reichhaltige Auswahl an überwiegend indischen Produkten. Die hausgemachten Samosa sind zum niederknien. Best store in Essen to buy indian sweets, farasan, typical veggies etc. It has almost every thing from all well known Indian brands. I prefer to buy stuff from this shop only. Shopkeeper is really nice and friendly. He will certainly give you a really good discount (wholesale price) if you buy plenty of stuff from here.
