"Well i once upon a time thought the ghetto kroger location was located in Haughville on the west side, But after years of being away from the East side of indy around 10th and Lynnwood i ended up back where i started and the closest grocery store to where i was staying was lynwood square, And besides the cleanliness of this store being obviously the last thing any employee thinks about as a daily task, The prices are sky high and much more expensive than other locations and to make matters worse they are always out of most of the items that i go into buy, The bathrooms are disgusting, stinking, and just gross, The pharmacy never answers the phone, And if you go in person you best have good soles in your shoes because you will be standing in a line for what seems like an eternity, Then if you make the mistake of picking up some groceries or whatever you will be standing in a line that extends back to the back of the store because there is only two lanes open including the U-Scan, And lastly and i really believe this is the worst part of the whole experience, They probably have a total of 40 carts altogether and only about 10 carts out of that 40 actually moves freely without stopping or clicking or rubbing or screeching or just simply missing wheels completely, And many times when you have done all your shopping for the day and you go to leave when you pass the security scanner at the exit door it will trigger the anti-theft on the cart itself stopping you from leaving the store with the cart, So in other words this location is the absolute worse in the entire city by far"
"UPDATE! KROGER (LINWOOD) Visited the store today because I had to take my Dad shopping and this is right near his home"
"It is what it is! Stores are dirty, parking lot is a mess, people either begging for money or want cash for you to use their EBT card"
"I come here probably twice a week"
"Sadly, it's quickly declining"
Well i once upon a time thought the ghetto kroger location was located in Haughville on the west side, But after years of being away from the East side of indy around 10th and Lynnwood i ended up back where i started and the closest grocery store to where i was staying was lynwood square, And besides the cleanliness of this store being obviously the last thing any employee thinks about as a daily task, The prices are sky high and much more expensive than other locations and to make matters worse they are always out of most of the items that i go into buy, The bathrooms are disgusting, stinking, and just gross, The pharmacy never answers the phone, And if you go in person you best have good soles in your shoes because you will be standing in a line for what seems like an eternity, Then if you make the mistake of picking up some groceries or whatever you will be standing in a line that extends back to the back of the store because there is only two lanes open including the U-Scan, And lastly and i really believe this is the worst part of the whole experience, They probably have a total of 40 carts altogether and only about 10 carts out of that 40 actually moves freely without stopping or clicking or rubbing or screeching or just simply missing wheels completely, And many times when you have done all your shopping for the day and you go to leave when you pass the security scanner at the exit door it will trigger the anti-theft on the cart itself stopping you from leaving the store with the cart, So in other words this location is the absolute worse in the entire city by far.
UPDATE! KROGER (LINWOOD) Visited the store today because I had to take my Dad shopping and this is right near his home. What does Kroger think, they are a Carmel Whole Foods?!?? Their prices reflect so! Meijer is cheaper, even with using Kroger coupons.. and no carts available to shop with! A pile of broken ones next to the front door though! Terrible stock AS USUAL! Nothing available for purchase. Worst Kroger ever! Smells of spoiled meat. Shelves are never stocked, filthy interior.. the list goes on. Ross has decent bargains, but I've not been often enough to say much more than that. Great post office with good customer service. Nail trap has so many ghetto customers, but you won't find a better nail shop when it comes to getting things done the way you like it! I'm always treated very well there! Kroger fuel usually has decent prices, but it's been a struggle to get good employees out there.
It is what it is! Stores are dirty, parking lot is a mess, people either begging for money or want cash for you to use their EBT card. When this is the only shopping area in your neighborhood you don't have a choice. I use to shop here (Kroger) in the early morning (2am) to avoid the mess but now they close at midnight. I either have to go when they (Kroger) opens which is hard to do when you get off at 1:30am. The Dollar General is the only other store I shop in this plaza and it's the same, go early in the morning. I've been going to the Kroger downtown and I just avoid Dollar General all together. If the people in the neighborhood cared the stores would care. Slowly but surely they are trying to clean up the neighborhood. Less rentals/absentee landlords and more jobs will help.
I come here probably twice a week. Some days are amazing, and then well, you have days where everyone is standing in the parking lot asking for money. Following you to your car. Makes you a bit uncomfortable and uneasy. I've lived in the area for over a decade, and I swear this parking lot is the only place I grasp onto my wallet. I also get irritated when I have to take my MIL up here. She's disabled with a tag, and it's frustrating seeing people parked in the handicap parking spots with no tag. My MIL, of course, has made comments about it to management and security, and they never enforce it. I don't want to see anyone complain about me taking up two parking spots because she needs the extra room to get out.
Sadly, it's quickly declining. Reminiscent of a pre staged D-zone, once known to be a plaza with diverse shopping options. Crime rate has shattered the ceiling for this little flower district/Tuxedo park retail strip. Kroger carts don't miss pedestrians, parked cars and the trash accumulation is often... Everywhere outside. The commercial strip is extremely dated and questionable. Businesses revolve or go belly up quickly and the stores that are open? If they don't have security bars and tinted windows on the outside, your not likely to know if they're open; much less question your safe shopping experience. It's bordering, another Indianapolis desert.
Not the best neighborhood but very accessible by public transportation. There were no other customers present which made check out very quick. Store was organized and clean. There was a beggar outside who asked for $0.79 for a loaf of bread. I told him I could give him a dollar and he said oh, I meant $1.79. I am going to have hamburgers tonight. I offered him a dollar and he was disgruntled which led me to ask him if he wanted it. He grabbed it and was on his way without even a thank you. I don't know the going rate now but the beggars seem to want lots of dollars and they rush you now when they approach you.
Dipped into Kroger for fresh bread and sliced cheese cheese. Found both for 5. 29 total with Kroger card. Store employees friendly shelves well stocked but just over all trashy. Dirty floors piles and carts overflowing with items to be returned and crowded at the self check out which seemed dysfunctional and wrought with shoppers struggling to get checked out. Scanner pricing does not match advertised. But we are in a food desert. No other real options unless you want generic groceries then also adi and save a it... Dang I miss Marsh
I keep telling myself I won't go there anymore except to the PNC bank, and CVS drivethru. Except for a few people Krogers employees are extremely rude and LAZY. Even security. Little Caeres pizza is horrible when it comes to service. I go all the way to Little Caeres at 22nd and Meridian. The store is very clean and the staff deserve a 10 star rating. They make you feel welcome and let you know they appreciate you business. The same for Krogers at 16th and College. Nice little neighborhood feeling about it. Highly recomeend.
Overall this is a very sketchy complex. So many beggars constantly trying to get money from anyone and everyone. I am all for helping people that are less fortunate than myself, though most of the homeless are likely trying to get money for drugs. I am so ashamed that America has so many homeless and hungry American Citizens, yet we have a government still more concerned about helping everyone else in the world over our own Citizens. Enough is enough, we need to stand up and with each other as Americans.
Prices too high I am starting to believe that Kroger is price gouging because there is no excuse for products going up at the level they are. Everytime I go to this store there are panhandlers all over me going in and coming out of the store. There are never carts in the store. Customers have to retrieve their own carts from the parking lot. Many carts are locked and unusable. There are never any handicap carts to use. Kroger you should be ashamed you could do a lot better.
While getting things in stock is difficult for this store, they have a pretty friendly staff that's eager to assist, and the ClickList Team is a bit slower than other Kroger stores, but they're a lot nicer and the substitutions they make are smarter decisions than other stores I've used this service at. If I have any complaints, it's that they don't stock shelves as often as I'd like, and they should have more ClickList pick-up spots besides the two they use.
If you like being robbed, this is the place to go. If you like homeless people asking for money aggressively, this is the place to go. If you like your car being hit by a person with no license or insurance, head on down! If you aboslutely love being treated by employees as if you are bothering them by asking a simple question, walk on in to any of these wonderful stores. In short, avoid this place like your life depends on it, because it just might!
I gave 3 stars only because the cvs pharmacy there is horrible. Bad customer service, unorganized, not knowledgeable. Staff have lied to me multiple acclimation. Forggen to fill vidal prescription. And fill partial orders with out saying they were working on filling prescription for you caused me to have to return to the store twice.i could go on but. Ill just recommend kroger pharmacy much better experience
It's alright they have fast food restaurants and a couple other options. It's not my favorite location to shop but if you live close by or are in the area it will do. My last visit there was a group teenagers or younger adults that were just hanging around not shopping anywhere. It made me think that they could use some type of security patrol
The wingstop in the plaza is trash. Thank God the food was not for me cause there is no way. I did not see these people use gloves or wash their hands, and they were handling chicken. No hair nets are nothing, and the owner has a bandage on 2 fingers. I'm not sure if the regulations for Servsafe change, but this did not seem right …
I can't say much about the store itself cause I only went to use the pharmacy cause my CVS was out of one of my meds and they had it in stock. The pharmacy and the pharmacist were very nice and helpful to me. I got what i needed with no problems. I can say the store was clean and the cashier greated me soon as I came through the door.
The stores and parking lots are filthy. People are harassed at the doors going in by homeless people and I was approached on the parking lot of kroger a few times. It can get a bit scary being by myself. Kroger is always filthy inside and the shelves bare. I try to avoid linwood square all together if at all possible.
Today I had a young lady that was working the cash register at the jewelry counter help me locate a pair of gloves that match the hat I had found that had just been tossed over into a bin she did not have to do that that was very nice the store was in very good shape for his busy as it has been always good service
The outskirts of the area are rough. The people who work in the places of this plaza are, for most part, very polite and friendly, but you will encounter people who are having a bad day, and like I stated, the outskirts of the plaza itself is not a friendly or safe neighborhood to travel on foot at night.
Shopping area with very high crime rate. I go infrequently for this reason. I have seen police cars with lights flashing in front of Kroger many times. I'm giving the shopping area 2 stars because the Kroger does have pretty good variety of produce and other foods. I like the Cricket store here too.
I always go to the krogers and the cvs here. The krogers has a good selection and a decently fast self checkout lane. The cvs the employees are kind and helpful I sent some pictures from my phone to be printed said it would take about an hour but they got them printed and done with in 15 minutes.
Other than the black people who are so lazy they take up handicapt parking in which they have no plate or placard and make us who are handicapt and have plates and placards walk it is a great place to shop.. and when you bring it to their attention they threaten you and play the race card..
The employees seem to be nice, however the parking lot was dirty and full of carts, the storefront was very dirty!! Surprisingly, I do have to say that the store inside itself was pretty clean, the shelves were pretty stocked, I was able to find everything I was looking for!!
The stores are great, everything in one place for sure. Grocery, pharmacies, gas station, pizza place. It's a rough area though, if you're not accustomed to the hood. Lots of drug activity in plain sight. Don't hang out in this shopping center. Do your business than move on!!
It's a fairly large retail space with a Krogers, gas station, CVS, a PNC bank, and various other restaurants and businesses. The post office is also in the back. It's ok, but not my favorite place to go. A lot of litter, trash, and congestion here.
This square has a lot of nice stores but the kroger is so terrible. The smell when you 1st come in the entrance is so horrible I want to just turn around and go back out there is never ever any scooters and the one they do have is so broke down.
Lots of shops has rainbow which has excellent prices and allot of things that meet most if not any and all's has Kroger for an of your food needs has a dollar store and a bank also has food places wings etc is there also nice shopping center
I had trouble with my digital coupons and the lady running the u scan stopped and helped me and was a lil confused so she called helped and we all did the digital couponing she was nice and wasn't rushing me when I had a lil line behind me
One stop shop …. Quiet neighborhood east of Linwood. This plaza always offer a wide variety of good options.Krogers store and gas Hardee’s dollar general beauty supply barber shop post office cvs pharmacy nail shop that’s not all .. enjoy
For business I think that Linwood Square has a a variety of choices to have established business within it's environment for consumers convenience too, eating dinners, food shopping, and outlets with everyone's choice of fashion.
Good collection of shops and businesses. US Post office included!!! everything you might need is included here; laundromat, eyebrow hut, PNC bank; it's all here....on a bus line as well. Convenient one stop shopping.
Krogers was a bust today No staff and Only 3 lanes Open . Never have anyone who shops there on the regular EVER seen it sooooo bad, extra long wrap around lines from the back of the store ... Utterly ridiculous...
You have to be really careful when you go there because of all the shady people. Between the drugs and the panhandling that goes on. Everyone tries to keep a handle on things. The police at the store are awesome
This place is generally ok and safe place to shop during the day. However, during during the evening hours once the sun has shut that there have been instances of some crime involving individuals and teams.
The retail hub of one of the most actively transforming areas in Marion County. Please drive slowly and carefully. The parking lot needs a safety redesign to make it more pedestrian and bicycle friendly.
Linwood Square is real nice it has a post office three banks, three clothing stores and a grocery with all types of fast food restaurants. It even has a pharmacy CVS, it's a all around shopping mall.
I've been shopping at the Krogers at Linwood for 10 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else they always have what I need, and the prices are always reasonable. The employees are always so friendly
I love this restaurant every time we visit the greeters, waiters, servers and cook's are on point. My family and I truly appreciate the staff and positive energy that they bring. …
Parking lot needs repair badly. Poorly managed and trashed. Community needs to start holding themselves accountable for alot of it and and pick up after yourself. Its pretty simple. Promise
Kroger, 2 open cashier and self service long lines. Customer service office closed, it was not 6:00pm. What is going on with, Kroger!!! Hire more people and pay more of course.
Unexpected and slightly scary event in the parking lot. Vehicle fire in a handicapped space. Emergency vehicles not yet on scene but could be heard. Not aware of any injuries.
Tried Kroger. 4 panhandlers before reaching the door. Tried Ross. Nothing to buy. Almost bare shelves. Wont be back. Good luck to dunkin donuts hope you accept food stamps.
Always something new out their. Watch a church ceremony the other day. My wife can request the rarest items from staff an their on point. Directs her right to it everytime.
This store is 3 minutes away from my house. I drive past it and go 15 mins down the road to a different Kroger. It's best that I pretend that Linwood Kroger does not exist.
Went to Kroger's and as usual was able to get in and out rather quickly. The people that work there are great. Cannot say the same for some, a very few, of the customers.
This place needs a lot of cleaning up. My family and myself have witnessed people nodding out on the sidewalk and drug paraphernalia on the ground. This is unacceptable.
I would love to walk in to the store and find a useable cart. Nope. Every time I go I must roam the parking lot looking for a cart. Hopefully one that actually rolls....
It's not too bad of a shopping Centre but be very visual of your surroundings!! Also the grocery store has a restroom inside on the front corner of building... …
I usually do most of my shopping in this Plaza and can find what I need at the different stores around there. I love that Subway and Wing Stop are right there too!
I wonder if the businesses in the square care about the product they present to the public. It is close for me, but I have driven out of my way for better service.
A few good shops in the area, could use more but not going to complain. It's close enough to where I live that I don't have to wait long for the bus to come.
Most of the time good experience lines move fast. At times like other stores they'll run out of things. I love that the officers there for our safety..
It's convenient and almost always had what I need, featuring a Kroger, gas station, CVS, post office, Hardy's, Little Caesar's, even a GameStop.
Dirty parking lot. People stoping you in the parking lot or outside the door asking for money even had a drug Overdose by the Kroger
Little sketchy walking threw parking lot but store neat organized and perfect but i relate to dis function tho so for right in
Options variety you never know. Tenth and Jefferson almost there see ya later, after while enjoying your day. …
Greatly improved with variety of stores since I lived in the area decades ago. Nonetheless, just a typical shopper center.
Its well lit up at night some of the stores a clean and the staff are ok. They could invest in the appearance but it good.
The worst Kroger in Indy, if you go there you better add 30 minutes on your freshness timer for the wait in long lines.
Good quality food . Only thing the there were no motorized carts for disabled customers. Due to theft of batteries.
Best Ross, Bee Beauty & Kroger in my old neighborhood! I still visit here frequently because they never disappoint.
Home to Kroger, CVS, Rainbow, the US Postal Service,, PNC Baz, Hardee's and many other stores and restaurants.
A lot of thefts @ this location & the kroger store isn't very clean. The staff @ kroger gas station are rude.
It's great deals for families on a budget, with a wide variety of clients.... Culture's, down Earth city folk
I just think this whole section of businesses here don't care about how their stores look, act, & operate.
There was a guy busking with an electric violin "Careless Whisper" & "Billie Jean" - he was pretty good
Love the Kroger...employees always very friendly. The Chinese place is very good , but a bit price
Pretty nice. Need a Family Dollar or Dollar General there again. Maybe more enforced security.
It's no offense to the square itself it's just a bit unsafe there I don't go there very often
Drama and line is way way to long. Produce is excellent as is the meat and seafood selection.
Linwood Square is great place to go and save time and gas because of the variety of store.
One of the worst areas to shop at. However for traveling convenience it works
They had Every Helper There To Help There Guest & Marry Christmas To All2023
The Kroger seems to always have a long line when I go to use self checkout
Urgent dental has an excellent Dentist. Very professional and good value.
It's the old neighborhood. How can you not live it. Eyes up it's live
Great shopping center with Kroger and the post office very convenient
There was a foul odor when I went in, like rotting meat or produced
Parking lot still disgusting. That's Got pot holes. pot holes.
If you live out east this the place to do your best shopping
People can be a Lil ruff around the edges, but it's my hood
I go yo the Kroger and Kroger gas. They are always nice.
I like to go here this is a good place with great good
Crowded. No carts available at Kroger's inside store.
The self check out lanes is only on one side
They have really let the place go downhill!!
Busy alot of produce not available
