"Good concept but very poor execution"
"This place rocks!! I signed my boyfriend and I up for the glass spinning/ torch class and we had so much fun we immediately signed up for another one and brought our friends with us! Mitch is an awesome teacher and the guys are so helpful and fun to learn from"
"A premiere cornerstone location for the arts and events in the Avenues and greater SLC! High ceilings, nice white walls, great natural and gallery lighting — perfect for a wide variety of events & gatherings"
"Super cool art gallery! Unlike any other gallery in the valley"
"Took a intro glass blowing class here , cant say enough good things , i learned so much and mitch was super talented and helpful , also a super relaxed environment i didnt feel nervous or stressed"
Good concept but very poor execution. Artists do not always make good business people. I share similar frustrations that Mr Rodriguez shared in his review. I purchased a glass piece from the owner and it took forever to get him to respond. When he finally did respond, he acted very put out and said some very off-colored comments. I actually have spoke with a few others who have dealt with lost acorn and they all had similar frustrations with customer service and follow up. I was planning on purchasing other glass art from them but since I had such a horrible experience, I got my art glass from Looking Glass which is a great place. They have great products and awesome customer service and their pricing is great. Lost acorn just LOST a customer.
This place rocks!! I signed my boyfriend and I up for the glass spinning/ torch class and we had so much fun we immediately signed up for another one and brought our friends with us! Mitch is an awesome teacher and the guys are so helpful and fun to learn from. 10/10 would recommend this as a date night to anybody! Ps. If you’re in the reviews complaining about not being able to buy glassware from them - first look up the Utah laws and then head to Looking Glass to buy some of Mitch’s awesome work
A premiere cornerstone location for the arts and events in the Avenues and greater SLC! High ceilings, nice white walls, great natural and gallery lighting — perfect for a wide variety of events & gatherings. Mitch and Parker are lovely and creative humans with community as the focal point of their pursuits. They sell prints from local artists, offer a selection of glass-blowing/stained glass classes, and host pop-up galleries and events regularly.
Super cool art gallery! Unlike any other gallery in the valley. Features local artists and sports a full blown glass studio in the back! Employees are super knowledgeable about local art, artists, and all things glass blowing! Make sure to check out this super sweet art gallery located in the aves! You will not be disappointed!
Took a intro glass blowing class here , cant say enough good things , i learned so much and mitch was super talented and helpful , also a super relaxed environment i didnt feel nervous or stressed.. also the gallery shows that they offer are super neat lots of great local artists putting on shows . Keep up the good work !
Horrible customer service. I’ve asked multiple times about a piece of art on Instagram to the owner/artist of this gallery and they read it and never reply. What’s the point of even being on social media. Oh and I tried to ask politely went that route and got left on read so yes this is the best approach
Small gallery for local artists, and I believe they have some glass blowing classes during the week. Came to support pride and enjoy the artwork and support local artists by buying some of their prints. They also had a food truck out front with some good food, and I think they had vegan options.
Some of the best people ever! Incredibly genuine owners and renters working in the glass studio. Unbelievable amount of knowledge and always willing to go out of their way to help and assist in any way possible! I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience working behind the torch there
Very cute little corner gallery that hosts a gaggle of eclectic people. The art that I was able to view here at the moon market was inspiring and I was able to pick up some hand-made bookmarks. The venue has really comfy cozy vibes that make any downtown city adventurer feel right at home :)
Mitch & Parker at Lost Acorn are REAL ONES! In a great location, with such a variety of events, classes, and shows to participate in or just visit on a nice day. The vibes are always good and very friendly for all audiences! LOST ACORN 4 LYFE XX …
Fantastic space! These guys are such genuine people and truly strive to uplift artists. I have shown my work here and have been to several events, and it has always been a fantastic experience! Follow their instagram and come to the next event so you can see for yourself!
I took a glass blowing class with my girlfriend and we had the BEST time! Mitch was so knowledgeable and spent two hours with us in a private session. We were able to make some cute glass animals to take home! Such a fun and creative idea for a date night or friend hang!
I had my first solo exhibit here. The owner(s) were very helpful with both advertising and set up. The gallery is a nice, casual, and fun environment. I recommend it for anyone looking for a venue.
Really sweet & intimate space to enjoy locally made art with loved ones. Seeing all the wonderful folk creating was a highlight of my week!
Truly the best, Mitch taught me how to glass blow and Parker has always been a great guy! Definitely worth your time.
Glass working class was so fun and interesting. Highly recommend! Definitely will be back.
Really cool to learn some of the basics during a class with them. Soo much fun!
