Friday night August 25th 2017 bought pandesal $2.69 coconut milk $1.29 tapioca pearls $1.09 sweet potato yellow $1.84 (.99 cents/lb) previous visit Friday August 11th 2017 watermelon on sale for $2.98 sweet yellow potato on sale for .99 cents/lb Taiwan egg rolls $5.49 previous visit I like the proximity of where I live to shop here What I have discovered is you have to check their products expiry dates as it seems like the ones they put on sale are expired products One major thing I wouldn't buy here is their produce. They wrap them in plastic in bundles and when you get home and unwrap the package, half of the produce are no longer fresh with brown spots or closed to getting in a spoiled rotten condition That for me is a big no no!!! You are basically cheating customers paying for a product that ain't worth its actual price I like their bakery products It seems like it's always fresh
Purchased food for almost $320 and my bill was above $400. I paid it to cashier and when i checked my bill they charged me 19 times for an onion bag instead of one bag. It was $4.29 per bag. I showed that to the cashier and she admitted the mistake and send me to the customer service. It was horrible to deal with customer service person.. she was trying to refund $17.82 instead of $77. When i asked her she said that she will explain after refund. But i asked her again the details and finally she said it’s a mistake and refunded all my money… she was very rude and never go back again.. It was july/28/2023 at 12:57:08 I do have all receipts if anyone needs me to send it.
I love coming to this place to find some good asian foods. They have a large variety of stuff you won't really find in Walmart or the likes. I particularly enjoy eating the pho there. Not only is it cheap but delicious too. Same can be said about their banh mi. As for groceries and produce, their fruits are relatively cheap, though it might be wise to compare with another store like t&t. The quality is alright. And the meats are cheap. Be careful though, make sure you read the label and check the expiry date. You can find extremely cheap stuff if you're willing to purchase expired things.
if i could give zero stars i would. we ordered our usual crab noodle soup and out of all the times we ate here, this was the first bad experience. the overall soup was very dry and bland, and we had very low level of soup and the lady we talked to simply said it was simply because of the noodles sipping out the entire soup, which wasn’t true. i have a picture, and she put TOO MUCH noodles when we didn’t ask for xtra noodles. paid $13 for an extremely unsatisfying meal, and got charged for $4 for something we didn’t even want that SHOULD’VE been FREE in the first place.
Only one big box grocery store in Edmonton sells ice from a locally owned ice supplier and that is Lucky North. Everyone else sells ice from the American ice supplier. For supporting local, giving the people of Alberta a local option for ice I give Lucky North 5 stars. I would give them 10 stars if google would let me... On a side note... the vermicelli bowl is to die for here. You won't actually die if you eat it but you will think with each bite, man I have died and gone to heaven!
So I gave this place a try on a recommendation from a co-worker. I will never go back again. The sub I got had spoiled chicken or something on it and as soon as I took the first bite I could taste it. I work in a location with over 100 employees and will make sure that I pass this along to everyone so they also don't waste their money here. Not sure about the rest of the store but stay away from the deli section for sure !
I always buy this boxes of shrimps and I notice today that it came in a saran wrap. I don't have a scale to prove my doubts but the contents is at least a quarter less. This usually come in a sealed factory box. I paid $12, maybe few bucks more than it used to be so I don't think it's fair to have a tampered box of shrimp, specially now that all the prices are rising. I might need to change where I shop from now on.
It is a good place to buy groceries. They carry wide variety of vegetables and fruits. Store has Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Filipino, Pakistani and Indian groceries. There is halal meat available as well. Fresh fish section is good but needs more variety and improvement. Prices are reasonable but many items are overpriced. Overall it is a great supermarket and provides me with most of my needs.
Lots of weird, cool and delicious food here if you're not customed to Asian food culture. Ido suggest taking a look inside. Lots of unique foods and sweets. Their instant rice noodle packet boxes are 100 times better than Raman. Their food bar is outstanding. Good soup, love Their sesame seed balls are amazing, if you get the chance I do suggest also buying some of their food at the food bar.
I love this store. I went late on a Sunday night for various pantry items and spices. I got all I wanted and more! Additionally, despite the day and time their fresh produce section was outstanding. Great prices on all of my purchases as well as fresh and high-quality ingredients. The staff were very courteous when asked a question and were able to immediately help me. Well done!
This store is great! They have such an amazing selection of food ingredients from meats, and vegetables, canned good, sauces, frozen, and bakery items. They also have a nice selection of ready cooked meals that are hot and ready to go, or they can be eaten in store. I find this store much cleaner and more organized then the downtown location. Excellent parking as well.
Good selection of produce, meats and other supermarket items. Prices Were comparable to T&T. The hot foods section has a large variety (even barbecue and steamed crab!). I especially enjoy their banh mi - Lucky Submarine. The only complaint is that they do take quite the time making the sandwiches so do expect a considerable wait if there’s a line. Still, worth it!
I recently moved into an apartment 5 minutes from this place. What a hidden gem! The produce is top quality, English language labels are well-translated for people like me, the selection of rice, pulses/legumes, and spices is amazing, and a selection of ingredients from corners of Asia I’ve not found elsewhere in Edmonton. A very clean and well-kept shop.
Prices are insane for frugal people. Only buy what you can't order or find any where else. Price of the duck and other food items are more expensive then other restaurants, the produce is not nearly as fresh or clean, the tables in the food court don't have easy access napkins or condiments. The little basket on wheels is amazing though, + 1star.
The best and largest Asian grocery store in town, big and clean, very busy, plenty of products to choose from, good prices, and wonderful staff. They have a great food court that’s pretty fast and it has tons of variety. My favourite is their spicy noodle soup Bun Bo Hue and you can get this delicious tray of viet BanhMi sub to go.
Always clean, well run and stocked grocery store. Excellent selection for anything I have been on the lookout for. Extra shout-out to the food court. Tasty food to go and the people working it do a great job quickly preparing the meals. Well worth a drop in to see what they have to offer to make it part of your grocery routine.
Good selection of Asian foods. Food court has really good offering at reasonable prices. Been repeat customer for many years, always good service. Only thing is the washroom, no hot water many times during winter months but hopefully it's been addressed. Overall, very satisfied with service, prices, and staff.
I love this place so many neat items and variety. I did ask consumer service as to where a produce item was and she just pointed across and I had to ask a customer to help me. As well I was looking for flank strips for soup and they did not have any. Only bone in. I will still go back because it's so awesome.
A lot of the items are super cheap. Good selection and great food like freshly made Vietnamese subs. Often they have the cheapest oranges and bakery fresh bread than anywhere else. If you looking for ingredients for a new new and fun dish or you're just looking for some place new; I'd definitely suggest that.
Our favourite Asian grocery store. Although it’s a little bit too far but worth every visits. Carries different products & supplies needed for your own delicacies. Affordable & competitive prices. Our go to place for the Halal beef, as they have separate butchery. Very clean and bigger aisles.
They have lots of good items but its too crowded specially the entrance where food and fresh produce are. I only shop here when i need some asian veggies or fish but if i dont have to go id rather go to places like walmart or safeway which is more organized and have smooth transactions
If you haven't been, go! The produce and meat departments are worth the trip alone, but you will find a perfect blend of again and western products, great service, good prices and handy to busses, automobiles. Good parking, although the lot can get a little crowded at peak periods.
Pho place we used to love recently has lost its magic taste for their pho soup. Either they started to save money and put less meat or other issue, but soup is not as incredible as it used to be before. Sorry guys, we have to stop stepping by after grocery shopping.
Clean, well stocked, and has a good variety of asian products and produce. They also have an area for pho, banh mi, and BBQ pork. Great prices, food is pretty good, no complaints. Visit this place if you need any sort of asian product, they will likely have it.
It’s a great grocery store specially if you’re looking for Asian food, spice or ingredients. It got mostly what you need at a great price compared to other same store in the city. Plus, the dim sum counter is great to have a break while doing shopping.
Every time i come here is always a pleasure. I always find a lot of bargain and exotic stuff. I would normally find my asian spices here so i can cook my favorite food from back home. I love the Lucky soup. So yummy and price is very reasonable.
I really love this lucky supermarket and I am so glad that it is near my work. I truly love their fresh food and really love their Viet subs. The place is kept clean and also seems to have a good amount of cashiers even in non-peak times.
Been coming here for a few years now, this is an excellent store if your looking for fair prices on vegetables, meats and other things. Their pre made dishes are great as well never got something that wasn't of quality. Also this store
Went in on Christmas day to get some frozen juice and they had several signs up for then to be on sale. When at the checkout was then told it was only one flavor. Then had some canned soda that was scanning at the wrong price and the
All Chinese new year product 25% off, how about Vietnamese new year. They have first Tuesday & second Wednesday (senoir) 10% discount but cash & regular price only, to compare SOF, Freshco, Safeway they behind far away.
Ok it does cater to a particular group but the fresh cut meat is good quality. The shelves are clean and usually well stocked.. maybe you will not get all your grocery needs here but it's well worth a visit
Just called 2days ago, confirmed with customer service they accepted Canadian springs water jugs return. Drove 20kms to the store, the customer service refused to take it.
Busy supermarket and tried the food there at the food court. I got a bun Bo hue pho and it was very delicious and not expecting it. Friendly staff and very good price.
Update: great prices and quality on their meat section, Have bought a few whole lamb shoulders for BBQ and bone stock soup and they are fresh and delicious.
Quick service and fresh. ( in the fast food line) Veggies and fruits I've never seen. People in isles stocking always seem to have time to help.
This place is so cool. There is so much to choose from. They have a meat department and a fish department. I was truly blown away by this store.
Plenty of products to choose from, good prices, and wonderful staff. They have a great food court that’s pretty fast and it has tons of variety.
horrible. I went in store to get a vermicelli bowl with meat ball and spring rolls to go. But they forgot the springrolls. i want my money back.
Good store for Asian food. Love that they offer freshly cut Halal meat and not just frozen like some places. The small food court is decent.
There are many kind of things. The quality is good and I will visit again + Rice noodles in the food court are cheap and delicious. …
This place offers great asian merchandise selection, like a typical supermarket in asia. They also offer asian foods with dine in place.
I saw this today, September 14. Lucky still trying to sell a moldy and expired ready-to-eat food that is already expired last August 24.
crazy reusable bag ban here. should have done it during covid-19, not now. its a smart forced to buy there plastic bag every time
Very close to my house. It's good location for Asian people shopping. It can also offer middle east stuff like halal meat
Asian store where you can have different items to choose from. I like going here but it's just too far from us.
Terrible place to try to park your vehicle very congested and possible chances in getting into a fender bender
My husband loves their Bun Bo Hue, it’s always fresh and delicious, also great price and friendly service.
Good Asian products but it is more pricey. Meat section, you don't get quick help unless you will call.
There are lots of Asian products that can be bought here and the Pho are also good.
A great variety of goods and very friendly cashier made us smile. Good impression:)
This place serves better pho than some restaurants at a fraction of the price.
