Pains me to say this because I have never had a bad experience at Marks & Spencer KLCC or anywhere else for that matter but what a nightmare the fitting room staff was on Friday night. Unhelpful and such an annoying demeanour! Am pregnant and asked for help with a different size. She refused and said no one else was available to help either! So I went and got the sizes myself and stood in queue again. While trying on the clothes, all the time I can hear other customers complaining and making noise outside in the lines for her inability to entertain any requests or even respond appropriately. Also the 3 items per fitting is rather limited don't you think? If you want to sell clothes then you need to let people try it conveniently! Anyway I was so peeved at her as she kept pestering me outside the fitting room to move to the back of the 7 people line to try the balance of 2 items I had hanging outside. While at the time I wasn't even planning to try it again just deliberating which I preferred to take to the counter. I finally ended up giving it all back to her to keep and do as she pleased and walked out! Not the only place to make a purchase and certainly not interested in that sort of attitude from the staff! What a nightmare! Suggest not letting bad staff ruin the brand name. Especially at an outlet like KLCC.
I had my worst shopping experience ever yesterday in this store at Suria mall KLCC. They rejected taking my payment for no valid reason. Cashiers and the sales manager are indeed unprofessional and lack the knowledge how transactions should be processed and how to deal with customers overall. I am using my Apple Pay as a Wave payment instead of the physical card and it works everywhere if Wave is enabled. Their argument is that they have been told not to accept Wave by Apple and only accept Samsung. Furthermore, they said that even the payment is going through and get approved by the system, still don't want to take this Wave method. We wasted more than half hour for a very simple transaction that they couldn't handle professionally. They refused even to try the payment and kept asking me to use other cards. It is either a racist attitude towards foreign customers or a total business failure to get the employees trained even the managers. It can't imagine this is happening in an international store such as M&S which is my favorite fashion brand wherever I shop.
Update 2023; the food section has been modernised & updated with a larger stock of wines, frozen goods and bakery items. Prices have edged upwards but their cheaper wines around 51RM are very good and seem to sell out fast. The bakery has some really good quality breads. On the clothing side some good fashion for men , I just wish there was a clear sign to indicate the gender for the changing rooms .. a bit embarrassing if you are not careful. Original review: Excellent wine selection and somehow M&S wine often tastes better than other suppliers. Price range on wine goes from very reasonable under RM50 upwards to crazy. Stock levels could be improved and service is a bit variable The foodhall selection is a bit weak but there's frozen foods and a bakery to get a taste of the familiar from UK at a premium price. Clothing sections are large and varied.
My favourite M&S outlet , from security up to staff everyone is friendly . ☺️ Place well maintained and organised . They have everything from clothes , cakes , biscuits , drinks and many more in this outlet . Their latest offer section is right infrount , once you enter you’ll be able to see it on your left . The prices are unbelievable - some even below RM10 They have tea bags , coffee , biscuits , snacks and many more in the offer section and it’s really worth every penny The staff informed that the promo is only until stocks last so it’s better to get good quality food at such a affordable price while it’s still there ✅ I got myself Ceylon tea bags and nice biscuits , both at only RM8 ! Yes you heard it right , RM8 only !! Couldn’t believe it myself and the quality of products top notch , so head to your nearest M&S .
M and S Food Hall section has quite limited biscuits, bread etc. I noticed the management in Malaysia is not honest when it comes to expiry dates. Often expiry dates are being removed when the product has expired. Or even worst still, products packed in a bundle promotion and expiry dates cannot be seen from the bottom or anywhere and you can't even open to check before purchasing it. How is it possible to have products without expiry dates And I hope they better not print their own new expiry date!!! I remembered it was their Christmas Stolen (erased expiry dates). Staff were rather lazy and couldn't care less. (retail job salary is low by the way) Totally different from in the UK
I bought an expensive pair of black jeans here at the Supriya KLCC mall while traveling. Within a couple of days they were covered in little broken threads and looked awful. I then noticed a small stain on the thigh so rubbed it a little with a tissue. I was horrified to see the dye completely come out into the tissue and a large white patch was left. So I went to the Malaysian website to complain, but the contact page just had pictures of clothes, no contact details whatsoever. I went to the UK site and it was down for maintenance, it said 5 minutes but it was over a week. No email. I filled in the online contact form and received no reply. Not a happy customer.
Marks and sparks has improved a lot since I was in school! It used to be the favourite for old ppl and Malaysians but in recent years the stores have revitalised itself. Until a few years ago I would only go there if I needed sensible pants. They do last very long and are well tailored. Be prepared to pay at least twice the UK price. And if there are better choices, quality and price wise, here, I will gladly take my money there. Service is lovely, the girls at the fitting rooms are friendly and helpful.
My first ever visit to this store. Rich and posh looking. Pro-modern settings. A newly joined staff on her first day did made my day. My first visit and a first day for the staff. A true coincidence which couldn’t get any better. Hahaha. But kudos to the team for training her well. Quality apparels and truly a beautiful store. The most expensive belt I’ve ever bought. Once in your life in Marks & Spencer is fine and you’re not gonna lose a dime. Satisfaction guaranteed
Due to prolonged lockdown almost 1.5 years ago, this Marks & Spencer outlet in KLCC shopping mall is still thriving mainly due to its food department. One can easily find some close to expiry food items displayed on the shelves at 50% off the original retail prices. Definitely a good buy if you are hunting for Muesli, tarts, biscuits etc.
this M&S @ klcc is huge...women/men/kids/sportswear/food/shoes/accessories/toiletries/lingerie...all spread out in a single floor...no need to go up/down for different stuff....it's like a mini departmental store. good size fitting rooms, but can only bring in 5pcs clothing at one time. love their Sale. huge price reduction.
A little place of England in the middle of KL. A great place to visit if you are feeling homesick. Once inside you can feel like you are back in the UK. Plenty of clothing stock. Food hall is well stocked of standard English fare but considerably cheaper than the UK. Staff are friendly and helpful.
You can basically get any kind if supplies.. They have cookies, wine selections, garments including under garment off coursenow they even have kitchen utensils... but I must say their wine selections has gone smaller... I am not so happy because I love their wines …
1) Great selection of clothes, household items and food 2) Food selections have been expanded further to now with wide selection of wine, gin etc 3) Generally fast services 4) Not all items available at the M&S websites are available at this flagship store
Very rude and unprofessional cashier who crossed the line with her appalling condescending behaviour. This rude cashier is not fit to be working in the customer frontline since she is clearly unable to work under pressure and represents a bad company image.
Definitely a pleasant shopping experience here. The apparel section has great discounts and saving from time to time. Food section is decent in size. Can't wait for them to serve fresh foods.
Walk straight to their food hall at the end. Always got promotional items and love their biscuits and cookies. If you come after 8pm u can get additional discounts on their fresh bakeries
Had a pleasant shopping experience with my wife. There snacks, icecream and other other things on display are nice. We loved all the clothing items we bought here nicely made
Love the Percy Pig collections !! They actually have different collection at different locations . To collect all Percy pigs items I have to go all of the locations .
one of my fave store of M&S. pretty much has common items. clothing, foods, beverages, gifts, baby stuff, toiletries, all the British stuff.
The store is pretty well stocked from men, women and kids clothing, shoes etc. The quality for mist of the stuff is acceptable.
Great small bakery section. Doesn't have the largest selection as to be expected. But we'll stocked.
If you can't think of a place to find food during lunch hour, come here to grab some light bites.
What happened to the prices. 169RM for 3 pants? Ok service, so that was not the problem:-)
The bakery excellent - Plymeer , cookies price reasonable. …
Great line of men's clothings here. Love the store ambience, too.
Helpful staff. Great collection of biscuits.
