Great store. Love that you can go in to both stores and checkout in either one which is great when homesense has a particularly long line, as Marshalls checkout is usually far less busy. The pet section in homesense area is a good size, lots of unique products. Great selection of picture frames with a mid century modern vibe. Sell amazing ornaments during winter holidays. Furniture can be unique, I especially love the pieces from Vietnam and India, they are gorgeous and nicely priced. The Marshalls area has an interesting selection of clothes although I personally feel overwhelmed by the many sections especially since clothing is so interchangeable and I have to go to mode, then contemporary then regular then athletic and feel like Im searching for hours. It has somewhat of a thrift shop vibe. Shoes are difficult to see with new setup as well, I miss the old shelves and shoes are not sorted by style or type which again makes finding things a little difficult because I have to look at everything and I have missed shoes in past because of this display choice. But I will say they offer a good variety of shoes and some nice athletic brands for good prices. As for the pet area its not as good as in the homsense side but still carries cute stuff, it seems a bit odd to have two sections in a connected store. Still despite those little things this store is great. Staff is very friendly. Overall I will definitely continue shopping here for those things I just cant get anywhere else.
If you're looking for a fully stocked-variety-filled Home Sense, then you have to take the drive to Ancaster Home sense. BY Far...the best I have been to. I have recommended and even brought family and friends here from all over (Kitchener, Toronto, Acton, St. Catherine's) and they also agree-the best they have seen. They have such a large selection you're able to view. And every few days there's always new inventory-I Love it. Not to mention how clean the store is and the employees are always so eager to help and happy. The bonus to this location is the Marshall's it's attached to! MY GOD, it screams Brand Names-they have Marc Jacob Purses!!!! I don't know about you, but what other Marshalls have you gone to that sells Marc Jacob's! Then of course you have Steve Madden, Jessica Simoson, etc etc. In the shoes, department-my mother picked up beautiful smokey Grey ankle boots from Sorel! I couldn't believe it-$100 and easily regular price is $160 if not more. This store is loaded with brand-name clothing and it's completely-if not, overly loaded. It's insane the number of options they have. I wouldn't say the "HOME DECOR" is great, but who cares...Home sense is just steps away! So if you're ever in the area, or want to road trip it down-you have that itch to shop, Try the Ancaster Home Sense Location! It's a guarantee you will buy something and will never leave disappointed.
Bought ‘new’ bedding at this store- a sheet set and a comforter set. Got home to open the comforter and saw that it wasn’t new but was very well used and had bodily fluids on it including blood specs and a sweat or urine stain on it(something yellow). I also noticed it had an indigo tag which was kind of weird to me because that’s it’s own big box store and I didn’t know homesense sold indigo products. Very un happy with the service I received when we took it back and told them the manager quickly walked off with the bedding and pretty much said sorry about your luck. I’m disgusted a big box store would sell dirty items and it’s an inconvenience that I had to drive back let alone now find another one- at a different location. I will be calling customer service when they open and leaving a complaint with them as well but just want other people to be able to see this and be aware to check your new/used bedding.. seems home sense is the value village of new items.
I love homesense but I feel they’ve made a vital mistake recently. They’ve removed plastic bags AND the ability to bring your shopping cart outside the store to your car. For a place where people are typically buying larger or even breakable items this poses a large problem that wasn’t thought out from a customer service perspective. Imagine the grocery store suddenly not allowing carts to leave the store?! You must carry everything you purchase in your arms (bags). Now add a toddler or baby into the mix makes this nearly impossible. Now I won’t complain without posing a solution! Cart corrals, seem to work efficiently for most store….. then if people forget their reusable bags it’s really not a big deal. This is something I hope they can correct sooner rather than later because I truly believe it dampens the customer experience of such a lovely store.
This store has wheelchair parking close to the. I don't understand why you'd have wheelchair parking. And have a cattle cake that is 200 yards long inside the store. This store does not accommodate people with disabilities. Everybody's able-bodied or disabled stands in the same lineup this is why. Having a long line up of two hundred yards along doesn't accommodate people with disabilities. There was no concern for all these people in the lineup. No attempt to accommodate their. It's been a long time since I've been long time since I've been to this. After today's experiencing a lack of accommodations . I will not be coming back.
Lots of different things for your home, and most thing are quite decent prices, especially some of the clearance items. Ive found lots of awesome deals on things to spice up the home decor. As a side though, some things can seem a bit more pricey, especially in the home decor and furniture sections. I'm unlikely to find many things that would suit my budget for furniture. The staff here are nice though, and do a good job at helping you out. All in all, will definitely be a go to for smaller items for the house, and would recommend going
Marshalls, CSRs make so many mistakes when it comes to payments, so please double check your receipts. I had to go in twice this week for refunds because of double charge of an item and then charging a returned item as a sale. The simple solution is ,be vigilant and work on listening skills. Avoid multitasking if you can’t handle basic tasks on hand, as it causes inconvenience to customers. The best was that the CSRs blamed the equipment for the error, where is the ownership. Leadership needs to focus on training and development.
I like the way the store has been changed to have more room between the aisles. The store looks cleaner since it's possible for staff to keep it that way by having more space to move around. It was easier to look at the clothes and make a decision of what to purchase. Before Christmas there was a great choice of gift prepared sweaters and pajamas for men. There was a good choice of gifts for all there. I frequent these stores at weekends depending on what I'm looking for
The store is excellent and tidy; the staff are friendly and helpful, there is a good selection of men and women clothes, formal suits are quite a few, a wide assortment of shoes for both genders, a large variety of household items. Prices are acceptable, especially since it is a chain of an American store for reduced prices. The only problem is the entrance to the car park needs a long time to enter and leave. I hope this problem will be solved.
Absolutely do not recommend coming to this location and dealing with Shelly the “manager”. She cut me off as I called into the store asking if she can look to see if they have 1 item in my size for me. She wouldn’t even let me finish as it’s 1 simple freaking item and she can check the ONE TINY section it would be in. Shelly you should not be in customer service and this location will never get my business. Upper James is the one to go to
Today I came in to shop as I love to do at Marshalls, and the cashier was NOT pleasant. Never acknowledged me, never said hello, she was very very slow because she was too busy looking at her other co workers. When it was time to pay she did not tell me my total or asked how I was paying she just starred at me until I said “it will be credit”. I’m not sure if maybe she was having a bad day but she was not welcoming or nice at all.
Home Sense is one of my wife and I favorite stores and this particular store is amazing! The layout..the inventory and the huge selection of almost anything. I really think this store was laid out and designed by a New Your City professional designer. Designer glassware with colours to die for..bath towels..designer furnishings..pet section..framed art and decor...they have it all! Get in there and see for yourselves
Store is ok. Problem I had ovef the weekend is wanted to buy a kitchen aid bowl set for a Christmas gift the packaging was completely ripped in two so I asked if there was at least a discount for this? And the supervisor/manager said "No. Doesn't affect the product" I was like what? Ok I said they can keep it then. Went to another homesense and got the exact same bowl set mint condition for the same price.
I have visited this location several times a year and I have been delighted to see how well stocked are the shelves. Great selection and prices. However, it seems there Was a time where well stocked shelves was not the case I really like the store, the concept of having a Marshall’s with a HomeSense is great. I removed one star because of the parking. Just one entrance | Exit. Kind of annoying.
These stores always have great finds. They’re large and it’s hard to not be able to find something you’re looking for there. The only downside is the covid protocols, they are definitely counting the number of people, but last time we were there they were allowing people in with unacceptable masks. I understand that the staff is trying to be nice to the shoppers, but safety should be a priority.
A shout out and huge thank you to the Ancaster homesense! I had a more complicated return to do (and after 10 years of retail customer service I felt terrible for being a pain). Rida and the other staff I dealt with were so kind and helpful. I visited the Burlington location recently and had such a negative experience with staff there. The Ancaster staff team is hands down the best!
Every time I come back here I regret it. Literally only went because someone had bought me a gift card. After spending 30 min going in circles in the store due to how unorganized it is, the cashier said the gift card is invalid, despite having the purchase receipt. Didn't try to enter it manually or ask for help. Luckily the gift card is valid for other stores.
Very disappointed that they dont do floor checks to see if an item is available at another location. That constitutes poor customer service AND, if a store expects it's customers to drive to different locations for something that may or may not be there, they will go with what's more accommodating to their busy lifestyle, ending in lots of lost business.
This is the best Home Sense I've been to in the GTA. It is well organized and focuses on the bigger pieces that shoppers are looking for (less small junk which clutters up the shelves and gets broken). Items are in very good condition. I also find it to be cleaner than most Home Sense locations. I stop (almost) every time I drive by Ancaster!
Marshalls and Homesense are 2 of my favourite places to shop. I find that the inventory changes on a regular basis. There’s always something new to see. I especially like the selection of home decor. The staging in the store is done so well that it helps me visualize what it would look like in my own home. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Purchasing a large mirror, no cart large enough to carry it, no staff member offers to help with it (when I'm obviously struggling), checkout is halfway through the store from exit, so employee cashing me out knows I have to now carry it all that way to the doors plus the distance to my car and still offers no assistance. Thanks ✌️✌️
I decorated my living room. Found the perfect set of pillows to go with my couch. Then, they have everything coordinated colour wise, which makes it easy for tough decisions, vases, and accents. I was able to find a picture. I was looking for one, but ended up buying a pair which went well with my walls, couch, and new pillows.
There are other Homesense in Hamilton. Go to them. This location was chosen very badly. The parking lot has only one access point for a mall with 4 stores the one side and many more on the other. On my last visit I was in a line for more than an hour attempting to exit. Save yourself from the bad planning of others and avoid.
Shelves are still mostly empty and nothing new. The staff has no knowledge of when they will be restocked. While they say new merchandise is arriving almost daily the staff must be buying it up. In the past 2 weeks there has not been much that is new. I suggest calling before you go and that goes for any of their stores.
HomeSense is a very pleasant place to hang out and discover a lot of beautiful and original things, you can find almost everything for the house..for decoration it's the place to go with prices that make sense Here is my latest find,,love it..only my small table comes fron HomeSense, the armchairs comes from Structube
This is a store that I truly enjoy. There is a little bit of everything, but elevated; all under one roof. Furniture, kitchen and bathroom things, trinkets and blankets, bits and bobs for every room in your house. Prices are excellent. I highly recommend you take your time here. Hidden treasures in every corner!
Pre-Pandemic, This Location Was Great To Shop At. Post-Pandemic, This Location Has Now Become Average/So-So Notably Because Of Their Limited Stock. Most Of Their Shelves Were Scarce Of Stock. Unsure What The Reason For The Shortage Was. Perhaps A Different HomeSense Location For My Next Visit.
First time here looking for bedding for a queen sized bed. I found the perfect matching set with the colour scheme I’m looking for. Saw a lot of cool decor options that I just might come back for. Surprisingly no one on the floor asked me if I needed help finding anything.
Not only is the stores selection incredible but the customer service is IMPECCABLE. Both management and their floor/cash staff are all super helpful, friendly and welcoming. Every visit has been great whether i find something or not, the people working here are so awesome.
This Marshalls location is great, huge variety of brands, high quality product and a very competitive price. It also connects with HomeSense through the inside. (So you don't even need to go out the door to go to next door and get your home supplies). Friendly staff.
The old store was nice, the new store, in where the short lived Target was, is even better. Nice and clean. Lots of unique things. Friendly staff. The plaza itself can get a little crowded with cars around the exits but if everyone takes their time it's not too bad.
Spencer and Kelly are the worst employees I've seen them bully and talk bad about employees and bully customers and when I confronted them they laughed....Can't belive these unprofessional workers work here I will not be back but wish this place well …
This is a beautiful store, joined directly to a Marshall's, it's a great combination. We were looking for a specialized, hard to find item, and a team of four great saleswomen found just what we were looking for. A great experience all around, to be sure.
Homesense and Marshalls attached. They are huge, have a big selection, more upscale choices, and very clean and organized. Always find something good at this one - including furniture. And appreciate popping into huge Marshall's next door too
I'd grouped 3 items together and hung them on a rack in the children's dept. while I adjusted the many items I was carrying. I thought I had everything but when I arrived home realized that in my haste, I neglected to pick up those three
Best home decor items and furniture store! I love shopping here!!! great selection of everything you need to decorate and furnish your home. Not many staff on floor to help customers. It would be nice if coffee was available to purchase!
Great selection. Tip: check out the Marshall's side for cheaper prices. The home decor items get split between the 2 stores. I found the exact same candle on the Marshall's side for $2 cheaper than advertised on the Home Sense side.
My favourite store for home decor and cookbooks, ever! There is also always a kitchen gadget to be found that you didn't even know you wanted. I am thoroughly enjoying my shopping at this store. Endorphins here you come....
One of my favourite stores to go browse around in. You never know what you’ll find! I have bought many delightful add ions to my home decor here that I haven’t seen in other stores. I also love their selection of dog toys!
Everything is clean and organized. The selection of items are very good. Can find a lot of cute unique items for your home! Wish the sale/clearance section was a tad bit bigger (I'm always on the hunt for a good deal)
Thank you Helen for amazing customer service on April.21st. Even though we couldn't find my jumper in my size, your help and positive energy was a comfort. Differently be returning again to this location in future.
I love the selection here, but absolutely hate that you can no longer take carts out to your car. Absolutely unacceptable for a store that sells large, bulky and heavy products. Get rid of the locking carts!
Friendly staff, great location and ample parking. All staff had been friendly and this is a big location so lots of variety of items. It opens up inside and is attached to Marshalls which is very convenient!
Located in the Meadowlands area of Ancaster. Loads of free parking available at this well known American based retailer specializing in brand name goods at reduced prices. Friendly and helpful staff.
Large clean store with lots of selection. The area that it's in is very busy but there is lots of parking so it's not too bad. It's also attached to Winners so you can just walk between the two!!
U got always good deal in Marshalls & homesense . But the only one which I think they improve that they have to increase the quality and variety in footware section. Rest everything is perfect .
a few months ago i went in marshalls..was looking to buy a blouse..one i picked out was an ivanka trump blouse..i could not believe it...why would you be carrying anything from this despicable
I would recommend Homesense allow customers to use shopping carts to bring items outside to their vehicles. Your new bagless and cartless policies make the shopping experience cumbersome.
a great marshall’s location. like all marshall’s; lots of smaller sizes of clothing, very little selection of large sizes. better place to go for dog toys! way cheaper and great quality.
A great place to shop. It’s large with regularly stocked new products. The clothing selection is always great. The staff are friendly and the checkouts are always quick and efficient.
I went to the cash to pay for a wallet-there were 2 prices on the wallet, attached by the store-one was $5 less - I believe they should have honored the lower price but they refused.
I love their inventory but some of the supervising staff need to remember what they do for a living and it's very easy to become a Target a Zellers a Sears... GONNNNEEEE
I like Ancaster, Oakville Homesense always , it has unique things in reasonable price. Right now they have Lots of amazing Christmas decorating stuff. Love it.
Strange inventory and odd duplication between the two stores that are joined like Siamese twins. Great deals to be found on cashmere and Merino sweaters though
This was a combination of two stores of nothing. The sale clearance prices are minimal, at best , clearance fro. 25.00 to 20.00 is not clearance to jump at.
During lockdown, they couldn't get much product. But now, the store is full and is back to its wonderful ambiance. The staff here is excellent as usual.
A big store, lots of choice, adjacent to Marshall's with a walk through, very busy on a Tuesday, BUT three cashiers open? A long, tedious wait to pay.
Went here looking for home decor with my sister as she was redecorating. Definitely loved the store layout as all items were easily accessible.
Much better products. Prices.still.high with a better selection. Marshall's had a great variety of the things they could.get in Overwhelming .
Shout-out to Natalie (the cashier) who provides excellent customer service by engaging with each and every customer that she interacts with.
Love this store!!!!! Always find neat things at really good prices. I shop here at least weekly because the turnover of merchandise is fast
I can find almost everything I need from here and always buy something while visiting. Staffs are friendly, too. I really like this store!
Really good variety at this store!! I love the homesense section!! They have so many unique items that you just can’t find anywhere else!
Was there for my Mom as she was looking for lamps for her living room and she didn't find what she wanted. Saw some neat things tho.
My first time here was a good experience plus the connection on both stores which was a good idea. Fair prices and good selections!
Had lots of beautiful things but am downsizing. If this store was open 40 years ago I would have been on heaven, I like everything
1st time there - found reasonably priced shoes which are different than the standard, brand name. Nice clean store and spacious.
Big selection of shoes, clothes and everything home...i always find something good there especially in the clearance sections.
I always find unique items and beautiful home decor at this location!! My furbabies also love their selection of dog toys lol
So cute I love the stuff here but I find the one Upper James Winners has the best stuff out of all the ones in Hamilton
Love this place. The store could be bigger and they often have limited deflection. They make a visit a nice experience.
Great store. Wonderful staff. But if u could network your inventory would make customer experience much more convenient
I've only been to this location once but I loved it. Awesome selection here, I found exactly what I was looking for! :)
Great service, beautiful store layout. We love to browse here and always end up picking out something to take home.
This usually isn't my favorite Marshalls location but I found some really great pieces the last time I was here.
Situated byside MardhLls for convenient shopping. You can check out all your items from either cashier areas.
Love this store. It has everything you need to put together a home to make it yours. The prices are good too!
Always good experience on the store. Great stock abd current trends. Great towels and sheets.
My wife always makes a stop here, good deals are found. An enjoyable experience every time.
I like shopping in homesense . You will find something you like everything you go there.
I always enjoy shopping at Marshalls and homesense but it seems like their stock is low
Very good store you can find lots of good things here on the right time right day
My place to go, love homesense you can find amazing deals a cute stuff there
A very pleasant shopping experience! Got what I wanted and friendly service.
Very clean and well stocked store with reasonable prices and helpful staff.

Like so many others I love this place. Great prices and quality.

Great variety , beautiful items and the cost isn't too bad !!

So many things to see! Lots of ideas for Christmas
Well stocked store! Easy parking/plenty of it!
The manager in this location is really helpful
Both in one place. Nice and affordable price.
