"Nice place"
"A great venue"
"This was such a great labour day classic! Even though the jets were canceled, it was still a great time"
"This stadium is home to the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL"
"The best CFL fans and tailgating you’ll find"
Nice place. Was impressed with the seating area, just wished they didn't closed down some of the seating area but I do understand why they did closed down those seating area. To keep the two teams fans apart. Enjoyed watching a high school football game here, was a good game. Another year, another high school football game. I do have to say that the security was better this year than last year. These security guards had more attention with those who were misbehaving, along with the Calgary police officers. Good job! We had a great time.
A great venue. Sure the stadium is old but that’s what gives it its charm and watching outdoor games regardless of the weather is always an experience. Seating is a bit tight but views of the field are excellent. Staff within the Stadium are fantastic and always pleasant and helpful adding to a fantastic overall customer experience. Great selection of foods and drinks. McMahon Stadium in my eyes is overall a five star experience and memories that can last a lifetime are made here. Thanks!!!!!!!!!
This was such a great labour day classic! Even though the jets were canceled, it was still a great time. We arrived early to check out Gridiron Gardens. There was so much to see and do definitely worth going early for. Face painting, ice cream, games, photo booth, autographs, food, police, fire, EMS, RCMP, bouncy castle, live DJ !!!! A bunch of free stuff to! The game was great, too.... we won !! It was also really easy to find our seats.... that was nice.
This stadium is home to the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL. I have been here a few times now for the Grey Cup Games. I t has always been a fun atmosphere and fun event. The concourse here is very crowded and nero with the large number of people trying to walk around for food drinks and souvenirs or just trying to get to there seats. It can be very slow moving.
The best CFL fans and tailgating you’ll find. Dress for the weather as it is an outdoor venue that allows exit and re-entry. If you are there for the labour day game they do a fly over that is pretty cool. You’ll also find Jon Cornish roaming around- pumping up fans on the sidelines and in the stands. Great game day experience and would absolutely recommend.
Awesome Grey Cup Celebrations and game. Congratulations to Winnipeg Blue Bombers! McMahon Stadium well done... It's been a few years since I have been to a game an besides the stadium needing some updates everything is great. Lots of facilities, lots of food/drink kiosks so lines weren't too bad considering all the people there.
We attended the family day game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, it was a fun day with the family tailgate party complete with bouncy slides, Paw Patrol characters, face painting, and a DJ dance party! The game was outstanding, overall it was so much fun for our whole family that we can't wait to go to another game!
McMahon Stadium has a great atmosphere when the Stampeders play, as they are a very successful team. However, the stadium itself is very dated and rather uncomfortable. The concourses are cramped, and there are no notable amenities to speak of. In short, the Stampeders badly need a modern stadium.
This stadium is alright - at the moment it’s the only real football stadium calgary has to play at, and our team the Stampeders occupies this space most of the time. However, the stadium is super old and the seating is uncomfortable. Occasionally concerts and other events are hosted here.
Be prepared to brace the weather of Calgary! Bring blankets, hats, gloves, you never know what you will get. I love football, the fans are great and its always a good time. The bench’s can get cold at night but if you bring something to sit on, you will be comfortable
Just an old antiquated stadium. Past its prime 25 years ago. Small bathrooms where you can miss most of a quarter just waiting in line. Concourse is way too small. This team needs an update in the worst way. Too bad the city is way too involved to make this happen
interesting stadium. i’ve never been to an outdoor stadium of this size so it was a first for me. i like that there was viewing of the field practically every where around the concourse. wish food and drink were a little cheaper but that’s
Easy access via transit. Parking pass holders only allowed for stadium parking. Clear entry and exit points. The website says no outside drinks but season pass holders had sealed bottled water. Stairs to get to seats are large and require
Awesome outdoor venue. However little to no undercover for weather if needed. Food prices were high of course cant really complain there. Ie. ($11/TALL CAN) However this was my first Stamps game and i was not made aware that cash is not
Old facility, decent enough stadium though definitely needs replacement. Taco in a bag is the bomb, though honestly this stadium is desperate for some Frank's Red hot sauce dispensers next to the ketchup. Please make this happen!
The artificial turf is nice to play on (Not great to dive on if you're in shorts!) but the facilities are well kept and clean. Sometimes staff is strict with visitors/guests but it depends on who is working.
Such a great place to watch some cfl football, great fan atmosphere, the players and staff are all really friendly, good prices on food around the stadium, as well as stamp store prices on all merchandise
First stadium in my life I’ve been too. And I don’t even like football games. I’ll never forget watching stampeders crazy experiences, fireworks, cheerleaders, big screen, drinks, and food, amazing time
Visited this stadium on labour day to see the Stampeders. Although it's not the biggest, the stadium has toilets, sells beer etc. It's a decent venue although basic. Really enjoyed our time here.
Miss going to the Calgary home games. Took some family to their first CFL game ever. Now, new fans. Had a great time. Come on, Halifax, we need a stadium to have a team and enjoy the CFL...
Loved being here. It is an older stadium so a lot of stairs. Was the first time there for a game as live in Winnipeg. The fans were amazing and friendly. Very helpful when asked questions.
This is really great stadium to watch a good Stamps game but the only problem is it needs renovations. Other than that really it's got a great atmosphere and their nachos are great there.
Fun to attend Stamps games but this arena is well past it’s prime. While the sight lines are good just about everything else needs significant upgrades or replacement.
Smaller stadium space but mostly well laid out for ease of entrance, exit and venue amenities. Well signed but the area beneath the stands can be a little crowded.
CFL Labour Day classic my first Calgary Stampeders vs Edmonton Elks game at McMahon Stadium was so fun. Considering buying tickets for the next home game.
The stadium is great for hosting large events. It was dirty in the concession area, likely due to a sold out crowd. Great place to see Canadian football.
Great atmosphere during the football game and after during the meet and greet with the players!!! That experience made my boys extremely happy!!!
Great place to watch a game. All seats have a good view of game. I sat in farthest SW side section x and no issues. Good family atmosphere.
Stadium is ok, I expected the drinks and food to be a bit cheaper. Tip, take some warm clothes as the wind in there can be fresh.
McMahon stadium has great sight lines and... line ups everywhere else. We need a stadium, the old girl should be retired.
Really enjoyed watching the game at the stadium. Great place to take the family. Clean and safe, friendly staff.
Went to the stamps store. Older gentleman working was such a great help! Very friendly atmosphere!!
The poutine was cold and hot chocolate not hot...... but always enjoy the atmosphere and the Stamps
A very safe place to watch the Football game as you go through a check-up if you have a backpack.
Parking for stampeder games is passes only and the lots were basically empty. Reevaluate.
They have happy hour now! Great game, friendly people, great time.
