I went to ABS Glynde this morning, which was the first visit and would be the last visit as well. Three reasons: First the staff is not professional, they change the rear brake pad which is thicker than the front set. Second, inaccurate quote, Joe offered me $209 to replace two sets of brake pad but I end up paying $295 for just the rear set. Third, overprice labour cost, I paid $165 labour fee for one hour job which was much higher than I previous thought. This morning I called this shop to get a quote of replacing the front and rear brake pads and Joe offered me $209, which was really cheap as it was $570 from Stillwell Hyundai and $370 from another retailer of ABS. Joe inspected the car first and told me that front brake pad was fine and still could run for 10k to 15k. However the back parts need machine rotor, therefore the price would be same. Okay, I basically knew nothing about the car mechanic. After waiting for about 1 hour (0930 - 1040), the job was done and the bill was a big surprise. It was $295 instead of $209! I asked Joe why it was not $209, he said it was $295. I checked the bill when I got home which the disc pad set cost $88 and the labour was $165. I also checked the report from Stillwell Hyundai the August, the brake pad material remaining front 4mm, rear 5mm. Now I need to find another place to fix the front brake pad. Thank you ABS! Add：I had the front brake pedal changed without disc machine last week. The total cost is $160. A bad news is that occasionally I can hear some noise from one side of the rear wheel, especially when I first move the car. I am not sure whether I should go to ABS. The other option is to check by another mechanism if the problem get worse. Good luck to me.

Avoid at all costs and if you need a Midas, go to Magill Road Midas- their customer reviews are great. This places repair lasted less than 2 weeks.The more money they can rort out of you the happier they are! They have terrible diagnostic skills and they charge $66 to plug what must be a Nintendo gaming console into the cars system, because they get it wrong and charge you for their 2 minutes of incompetence, then lie to make sure they can hang onto your money without having to rectify their error. Never have i been charged $66 to plug a diagnostic tool in for a minute- even though i told them what the RAA said the problem was, they chose to ignore it and replace a different part, a part midas head office said I could have back, but these guys refused to give it to me! Something to hide maybe? The fact that the part they replaced (or didn't replace- for all I know they probably charged me for doing absolutely nothing, otherwise why not give the "old, faulty" part back?! Proof is in the pudding, because less than 2 weeks later the engine check light was back and they're trying to tell me its now what the RAA diagnosed- come on! Dishonest and inexperienced is exactly what they are- spend your money at a place that will do a good honest job, not here where your car runs worse than before. They have no morals and don't care if they stuff up, they won't do a single thing to fix it and if your thinking midas offer a warranty think again, midas won't lift a finger to help either because this boys club is an independent operator just using Midas branding. Enjoy the $400 you scammed from me because it'll be the last cent you ever see of mine! Terrible place!

I feel they are not very professional. They serviced my car 10 days ago and said my car's radiator need to be replaced and it has to be booked for another day. The quote is very high, but I still choose to believe them. Unfortunately, when I was driving to their store after 1 week, my car's engine suddenly got overheat. I ringed them very soon. They suggest me drive slowly to their store. It was about 8 km away. I think it's not a good suggestion. After that, they only fixed my car's cooling system, let my car's engine shaking alone and charge me a lot. I have been their customer for many years, but now I think it's time to leave.

I have been going to ABS Glynde for some years now, for all my mechanical work. They make you feel welcome and go out of their way to give a first rate experience....which is rare there days. They let you know what has to be done, before going ahead, and keep you informed of progress. The quality of work is excellent, which once again is hard to find these days. I used to do all my own mechanics, but not anymore. I can highly recommend them.

I've come to these guys a few times over the years. A year ago they replaced my compressor but unfortunately the compressor was faulty and within two weeks died. When I eventually took it back to ABS Glynde, the manufacturer refused to accept liability. ABS Glynde replaced it at their own cost. These guys were fair, understanding and reliable in the way they treated me. I recommend them.

I usually run older vehicles and they inform me at each service what is likely to be needed to be done over the next year. I get a quote before any major work is done and they are reasonably accurate. I had a radiator blow out on the way home, and they were able to slot it in by the end of the next day. They also offer a loan car if needed.

I’ve been servicing my car here for about 10 years, Joe and his men have been great. Always accurate quotes, and if you just drop in with a problem they make time to have a look at said problem and advise accordingly. I tried other service places that offer coffee while you wait, but I just want my car looked after which is why I go here.

It is a great feeling when you find a mechanic who you can trust! Honest and reliable staff who are genuine with their advice. Exceptional service and the boys even washed my car last time out! They go the extra distance to ensure your car is running smoothly and for an excellent price too!!

The guys were very helpful and were more than happy to discuss everything with me. Communication was very effective on their behalf. They were very thorougher in checking my car to ensure it was road worthy. Very happy with the end product, and will go back again. 10/10 would recommend.

I always find the boys at ABS are always polite, friendly and professional. I am always contacted before any work is done, I'm always told what's happening before it happens. they always get my consent before doing any work. I don't get any unwelcome surprises.

Joe was great!! The price wasn't as expensive as I had expected, which was great. They also called me when they realised I need new tires and sent me photos when I questioned it, which I really appreciated before they did anything. I will be going there again.

I brought my car to this mechanic because i wanted to do the service by myself but i had a problem with the engine oil cap. They were very polite and useful with me, furthermore they did the service and the change pads at a very good price. Thanks guys!

Just got a puncture repair from these professional guys when literally everyone else around Adelaide told me they couldn't fix it, and therefore I needed to replace the tyre (2 months old, so quite frustrating).

Very over priced. Got the car serviced three weeks ago for $600 and have just had the radiator blown. They quoted me $700 to fix the radiator when other places are going to charge me $400. Go elsewhere.
