Muhim Cafe is an absolutely amazing place that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming atmosphere to enjoy some delicious food and beverages. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted by friendly and attentive staff who are eager to make your experience the best it can be. The atmosphere at Muhim Cafe is one of the things that makes it so special. With its comfortable seating, warm lighting, and beautifully designed decor, it's the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day. Whether you're meeting up with friends or simply looking for a quiet place to read, Muhim Cafe has something for everyone. But what really sets Muhim Cafe apart is their incredible menu. With a wide range of coffees, teas, and other beverages to choose from, as well as a selection of fresh pastries, sandwiches, and other snacks, you're sure to find something that suits your taste. Everything is made with high-quality ingredients and served with a smile, making it a true joy to dine at Muhim Cafe. Overall, I can't recommend Muhim Cafe highly enough. From the friendly staff to the cozy atmosphere to the amazing food and drinks, it's the perfect spot to relax and unwind. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by and see for yourself - I promise you won't be disappointed!
Very adorable coffee shop! The best part? I love that you can get Somali food and drinks and also American options. I got a white Somali tea (with milk) and it was amazing. I also got 2 Sambusas and they were delicious. The worst part? Having actively worked in the Somali community, keep in mind business culture is different. It took about 15-20 minutes to get our teas. Granted, we ordered 10 but nothing was prepared ahead of time and was made right on the spot. That could be bad for some who are in a hurry but having it made from scratch was lovely and no problem for us. We did order 4 black teas and they were all made with milk. Normally, a barista would immediately make sure to remake them but in this case that didn’t happen and we just got what we got but it wasn’t a total big deal with us either. I’m sure if we had insisted, he would have happily made new drinks but it was okay either way but keep that in mind when ordering. Prices were good and it was a great spot to sit and relax for a bit. Very friendly guy at the counter!

I tend to only leave reviews if I really liked a place or service but this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I had previously heard great things about this place so was very excited to try it out. I walked in and smiled and said hello to the lady at the front counter, who did not even acknowledge me, and then didn’t answer any of my questions that I had about the desserts. She refused to serve me, telling me that I had to leave. She did not tell me why but seemed offended at my inquiring about the dessert proportions, and prices. I was honestly appalled with the level of discrimination that I had received and many of the guests at the time were just as confused. At this point, I just wanted to pay for the item I wanted regardless of the questions I had, and not say any more words, but she refused that as well. I will personally never come back here again, which is very unfortunate. I don’t plan on bad mouthing this establishment to anyone, but I do think that the restaurant management and owners should be aware of this incident.

I've never had shaah (Somalian tea) until I visited Muhim’s Café. I ordered it with milk and it was delicious. I would compare this to Taiwanese milk tea (boba milk tea ). The shaah was sweet, milky, and very hot - perfect for the cold weather. The worker also recommended the "mush mush" (no idea on the spelling of it), which is a flat sweet fried pastry. From the looks of it, I didn't expect much... But, it went really well with the tea. Definitely try it if you never had it before. We also ordered a sambusa, which was pretty good. They are located on a busy intersection, but there is parking in the back. If you never had Somalian tea/pastries, definitely give this place a try!

this was easily the best cafe i’ve ever been to. 10/10. i visited this place yesterday and it has changed my life for the better. Everything here is top notch, the atmosphere is amazing, the customer service is immaculate. The decorations made me feel comfortable, i wanted to sit down and write a book. You must stop by and support this business. The options are endless, you can’t go wrong with anything. Thank you for allowing me to experience such an iconic establishment. I will be back insha’Allah. Take care.

I’ve been making an effort to visit more of the locally owned restaurants in my neighborhood lately and today I went to Muhim’s Cafe. The barista was very nice and helped me when I wasn’t sure what to order. I got Shaah (Somali spiced tea) and a Sambusa pastry. The Shaah tastes a lot like chai tea (very good) and the sambusa was great! It’s a savory fried meat pastry and it was fantastic. Definitely recommend coming here for coffee and a treat if you’re looking for something local.

I was here on Sunday morning and ordered a drip coffee, which it turns out they don't have, but the kind barista made me an INCREDIBLE americano instead and truly it was so good it inspired me to write this review. Also got two sambusas which they heated up for me, super delicious!! They are a bit spicy, which I loved. Prices very reasonable too.

Their drinks are fine but this is probably the loudest cafe I've ever been at. If you are planning on studying here I would search for anther place. Music was blasting the whole time, and because of that people who are here tend to talk very loud as well. I'm giving a bad review purely because I wanted a quiet place to study and this place is not it.

Got a hot Shaah (Somali tea) and cherry and cheese danish when I visited last week! I really loved the atmosphere and the employee was very sweet I forgot to take a photo of both items I got because I was craving the shaah Otherwise only thing I got confused on was parking, but the employee mentioned you can park on the sides of the building

Clean, bright, beautiful space to enjoy a cup of coffee and a tasty bakery item. Right next to 35W and lake street station. Comfortable chairs and a nice laid back urban feel. The Americano was good, and the drink menu was reasonably priced.

I fell for the TikTok hype and got charged $6.54 for iced shaah with oat milk when shaah is supposedly $3.50. The lady offered a refund after I disputed the charge and I said it was fine and was going to take the L ONLY for the shaah to be PURE SUGAR. On top of that, the iced shaah was hot shaah with iced cubes so I got charged $3 extra for ICEBeyond disappointed

I had a nice business meeting there. She has delicious snacks, hot & cold drinks, and FREE PARKING. It was the perfect spot for meetings or just catching with reading. The owner did a fabulous job in decorating and running the cafe. Thanks for the hospitality Muhim. I will definitely come back.
I love cafe hopping and this is the cutest cafe I’ve come across so far. I’m so glad I found it—it feels like a hidden gem. In addition to having tasty bakery items and great coffee, it’s almost like a fusion Somali-American cafe with sambusa and delicious Somali tea on the menu.
New cafe on Lake Street- really conveniently located next to the Lake Street station. The cafe was very cute inside, but I took a Somali tea and a brownie to go. Service was quick and the Somali tea was so good on a cold day. Perfectly sweet- I'd go back again just to order that.
Great place to grab a coffee and snack. Very clean, and the decor inside is cute. Barista was nice, explained some pastries that I was unfamiliar with. Would love if they sold more food in the future!

My Favorite café place in Minneapolis. Beautiful atmosphere and best customer service. Great meeting spot. Highly recommend to visit with family and friends.
Such a cute spot! I had some time to kill, and needed (wanted) haha a cup of coffee. This place popped up as close by, and it was a perfect match ☕️ …
This cafe is so beautiful. The food is very delicious and it’s very welcoming. It’s also the perfect place to study with free internet with no crowds.
